The island felt louder now.
The breeze brushing the flowers outside made a sound, and the wings of the butterflies flying past the nectars felt heavy.
Even breaths coming from every lungs created creaks.
Seraphina’s absence felt louder than her presence. When she was here and crashing out, her words were deafening, but now that this place is void of her presence, it’s worse.
Tobias sat alone beside the table, staring at the ring he held.
An hour ago when Seraphina walked out after saying the safe word, he had remained seated, he remained composed till she left his sight.
He had settled back on the chair and had been staring at the ring since then, as if mourning her.
The room is still scattered. Wedding dress lay abandoned in the middle of cake icing and shattered dishes.
But he sat there like the king of ruins in the middle of ruins.
No expression. No shift. No tilts in his face or the way he stared at that ring—a big rock which costs enough money to buy five custom-made cars.
She rejected it.
She rejected marriage.
She rejected him, basically.
If she gave Ruth this ring and wedding dress in uni, Ruth would bend down and lick his cum forever like a slave and obey his orders.
If she gave Kelly this ring and dress even after Kelly began dating Dean, Kelly would have left Dean and came back to him secretly.
In other words, any woman existing right now wouldn’t think twice before getting a ring on her fingers, so far it came from him.
But there she was, an hour ago, crashing out at the sight of a ring and a wedding dress like she’s traumatized by those two.
And it’s true.
He saw trauma in those eyes when she was crashing out.
He saw pains and hurt.
She might have tried to cover them up with her crash, but he caught it.
For someone like her who lacked good things growing up, she should jump on every good thing she comes across—like this marriage proposal.
She should take the ring and flaunt the big rock together with her blossoming crocheting brand.
Dean got married to Kelly.
If Seraphina got married to him, people would call her brave and lucky and fortunate.
It’d boost her personality and business further, but she rejected.
She rejected.
She rejected.
It’s the only two words echoing inside Tobias’s head, over and over.
He stared at the ring till it blurred out between his fingers.
He spent an hour and few minutes sitting before he got up.
He returned the ring into the box and pocketed it in his suit, walking out.
Jude came with them earlier, but he stayed in the yacht with the captain.
Tobias saw him waiting at the dock when he got out.
Jude rushed over.
“Miss Seraphina left an hour ago, and she looked… tensed. The yatch captain steered her away, so I had to get down. I figured something happened and you might need your alone time, so I didn’t come in to check on you.” He explained.
“Takes thirty minutes for the yatch to get to the public shore,” Tobias checked his wristwatch. “And it takes thirty minutes to come back.”
“Exactly one hour, he should be back by now” Jude answered.
And instantly, the yatch eased up on the waters.
Jude and Tobias stepped into it, and Tobias gave Migos a instant call.
“Rosey…” Migos’s voice sounded lovish—almost romantic.
“Keep an eye on her, and report her every move.” Tobias instructed.
Migos knew who he was referring to immediately, and he grinned. “What I love to do. Thank you for giving me this job, Ros—”
Before he could finish calling the name, Tobias hung up.
“Call the Oddsion, J.” He said blankly.
Jude got his phone ready.
“I want ten maids hired before I return, and they’re all to start wiping every room in the building instantly.” Tobias dropped the order.
Jude blinked.
“Every room in the Oddsion is cleaned twice a day already, First Man. The Odds in charge clean it in the morning and in the evening cos they know how much you hate dirt.”
“Are your ears leaking, J?” Tobias faced him, spirit dark.
“I…”
“I asked a question,” Tobias came close fast, darker.
“I wasn’t—” Jude tried to talk again, but Tobias was already in his face…
“What the f+k did I just say? Drop all side talks and tell me what I just fuckin said!” He snarled.
“You want maids hired to start cleaning the whole Oddsion, sir.” Jude replied.
“All rooms, except my bedroom.” Tobias added.
“I know that,” Jude nodded. “I know how much you hate people in there.”
He stepped back and put his phone to use, dialling the Oddsion to relay the message.
Tobias sat back and pulled the puppy plushie keychain out of his second pocket. He began stroking it, rubbing the puppy head repeatedly till the head turned faint blue, lighter than the rest of the plushie body.
As he rubbed that with his thumb, he also caressed the bracelet around his wrist. The crocheted bracelet.
He’s still wearing it.
He kept his eyes closed as he touched the two objects, deeply.
Jude looked back from where he’s making the call from, and when he saw the position Tobias is in, he worriedly heaved before concentrating back on the call.
He’s talking to Yalda.
“Hire ten maids and make them clean everywhere except his room?” Yalda repeated. “What exactly happened in that island. Tell me.”
“F+k, if I know…” Jude hissed. “All I know is that Seraphina left alone, looking bad. She looked bad.”
“The last time his OCD spiked this high was when Kelly did her shit in uni. He hired maids to clean his hostel mansion floor repeatedly with their tongues, and him? He didn’t come out of his room, he stayed inside and vacuumed for days like an obsessive person, and when he later went out for a drive after some days, that was when he got into an accident.”
“Should I be scared?” Jude looked back at Tobias again. “He’s sitting now, caressing the plushie and the bracelet like a…”
“Obsessor?” Yalda interrupted.
“Exactly.” Jude nodded.
The yacht arrived at the public shore that led to the main road, but Tobias didn’t make an attempt to get down.
“Get out.” He told Jude, eyes still closed. “No one comes here. I told everyone what they needed to do. No one comes here, I repeat.”
Jude didn’t want to argue again.
He got down, leaving just Tobias and the middle-aged captain inside.
“We’re staying on the waters all night.” Tobias told the man. “Continue steering, round and round.”
The captain moved the yatch back to the waters, riding further deeper.
Jude returned to the call with Yalda.
“What’s up?” She asked impatiently.
“I’m on the shore, but he didn’t come down. He has returned to the waters with the ferryman.” Jude said.
“What!” Yalda sounded.

[Allison’s Mansion]
Seraphina let out a small breath when she came down from the Uber she came in.
She had called it after she got to the public shore. She wouldn’t possibly wait for Tobias’s limousine again.
She closed the Uber door and was about to go inside when the driver stepped out too.
“Miss!” He called out, making her turn fast.
“I payed on the app before you came,” she quickly cleared.
“It’s not about the pay, Miss…” He smiled nervously. “I….my daughter is a fan of you…” He confessed.
Seraphina blinked.
A fan of her??
“She watched your crocheting competition with Dora on TV, and also she watched your 9.9 popular auction. She’s a highschool arts student who has always been big on fashion but was always shunned cos we’re poor, but when she told me she found a new role model who she admired a lot, i was glad. She wants to be a crocheter too.” He explained.
“Oh…” Seraphina choked.
“Also, she’s very curvy like you, but people only wanna talk to her cos of her curves, and because of that, she has refused to make friends, concluding they’re all fake, she lost her liveliness, but seeing you boosted her morale that she doesn’t need friends to be great. Now, she took her entrance exams to the arts university just last week, and she passed.”
“OMG!” Seraphina cheered up. “I’m so happy for your daughter! Please tell her I’m so fuckin happy.”
“I will, and she’ll nearly burst with excitement if I tell her this…” The man laughed heartily. “Can I get an autograph for her?”
“Autograph? Me?” Seraphina’s mind raced with disbelief. “I’m not a celebrity, I’m just a—”
“You are a celebrity, Miss Seraphina.” He argued. “You’re still the most searched topic globally right now, and I think reporters aren’t swooning you yet cos the don’t know your house or schedule. When they get to you, you’ll believe me. Your IG gained 5million followers overnight, and you’re saying you’re not a celebrity? Who else organized a 9.9B auction before in this century?”
“Umm..” Seraphina’s mind raced faster, not knowing how to react.
“You are a celebrity, Miss Seraphina. Please, your autograph before it becomes more hard to get.” He insisted, bringing out his daughter’s diary from his Uber.
Seraphina took a pen from him too.
“Her name?” She asked.
“Annika.”
Seraphina signed her long autograph with the name, and the man took back the diary with a impressed chuckle.
“You have a very beautiful, long autograph. I can’t believe a person can actually sign this fine.”
“You’re flattering me,” she smiled prettily again.
“No…this is majestic…” The man tapped the autograph. “Annika will go crazy over this.”
“I love Annika, tell her that…” Seraphina assured genuinely.
“Trust me!” He got back in his Uber and drove off smoothly.
Seraphina stood there for few more minutes, thinking about what just happened. She’s a role model to someone? She’s a celebrity?
She’s…an inspiration to people?
Even as she walked to Allison’s door, she couldn’t stop thinking about it.
It momentarily snatched the thoughts of what happened at the island away from her rough mind.
Just when she was about to open the door, her phone buzzed.
She paused, dug it out, and saw another message from the animal.
• Why aren’t you replying my texts? You know how much I hate ghosting. Oh, is it because of what happened? Trust me, the skirt I gave to Kimora wasn’t even yours, and it was blood tonic on the skirt, not your hymen blood. I took your virginity, Little Angel, and it’s still the best experience I’ve ever had. I only gave Kimora the tonic-stained skirt cos I wanted to fool her into thinking I really was on her side. Sweetheart, don’t be mad at me, ok?
Seraphina decided to text him back this time around.
Seraphina: Let’s meet, tommorow night. You’ll get the location soon.
She sent that before going inside, meeting Allison just by the door with arms folded across her chest and a mischievous little smile.
“Lis?” Seraphina entered.
“Did you just sign your first autograph? What!!” Allison screamed, unfolding her arms.
“You were watching?” Seraphina smiled a little as she proceeded in.
“Since you came down from the Uber, bi+ch. I’ve been watching!” Allison did a little jump in front of her. “When you clocked 5M followers on the morning after your auction, I knew you’d go very far. My homegirl is a celebrity!” She jumped again.
“5M?” Seraphina sat tiredly, slumping her head back.
“You didn’t check your IG? The only five posts you made there, each of them have nothing less than 4M likes right now, Phina. And the comments are hitting 150k and above. Girl, you’ve gone far with the auction, and some networks who love you have gone to uproot your crocheting competition video with Dora, that one’s trending too. You’re a sensation to people, you’re that woman.”
“The 5M followers are probably bots.” Seraphina said, uninterested.
“What do you mean bots?” Allison pulled out her phone, clicking Seraphina’s page. “Look at her solid 5M, and most of them are celebrity singers and actors! Check your DM and see just how much love and work you’d have received. That’s why your building has to come up in two months, Acosta is already working on it, but before the building will come up, you’ll need to buy a building to work in for the meantime.”
“I hear you,” Seraphina sighed.
Allison got a grip of the atmosphere, sitting beside Seraphina.
“Babe, are you ok? Is it still because of Vincent?”
“I ended the deal with Tobias.” Seraphina threw the news.
“Are you kidding?” Allison stood, eyes popping. “You did what?”
Seraphina found it hard to go over again, but she did it for Allison. She narrated everything starting from yesterday at the auction to this night at the private island.
“Maybe I overreacted, but immediately I saw the wedding dress and ring, I was triggered. Dean appeared in my room at my family estate back then too before our wedding. He carried ring and wedding dress, and the same words… MARRY ME. I think I’m traumatized by the idea of marriage or fake love, Lis. I found out just this night.”
“And you think he doesn’t feel you? Tobias?” Allison asked.
“I don’t know, Allison. I can read him in the other parts, but his cloudy heart? I don’t know how it works.”
Allison nodded.
“Even if he wanted to make the marriage move to make Vince come out, he should have told me first instead of just coming at me with sudden proposal.” Seraphina said.
“If he told you first before proposing, you wouldn’t agree too, Phina. I know you.” Allison said.
Seraphina looked away.
“Yeah, i wouldn’t. But do you think I overreacted? I left him there at the island, and he’s—”
“Worry about yourself, Phina.” Allison cut in. “I’ll be your therapist.”
“I always forgot you’re a certified therapist, but situation turned you to a event planner and a networker.” Seraphina smiled a bit.
“Duh,” Allison grinned, pulling Seraphina’s head to her chest.
“My bre+sts aren’t big and pillow-mates like yours, so manage my dry consolation.
“Just keep quiet…” Seraphina chuckled slowly, shutting her eyes.
“So what are you gonna do about Vince St. Graves?” Allison asked.
“I’m meeting him tommorow.”
“No!” Allison broke the hug immediately. “No! You can’t!”
“What?”
“He’s the 9.9 star at your auction, girl. Who knows maybe his power and influence is on Tobias’s level? What if his stupid arse kidnaps you or something? Please, I can’t go through what I went through when Valhalla people kidnapped you or when Ruth took you to Atlanta.”
“I’ll be fine, Allison. I need you to trust me. If you don’t, you can actually follow me tommorow.” Seraphina said.
“Exactly what’s gonna happen!” Allison nodded. “I’mma wrap up my events fast tomorrow and go with you. Are you even aware that Marley and Genevieve are a part of Valhalla? Acosta told me.”
“I suspected it the moment I was kidnapped by the club.” Seraphina nodded, not surprised.
“And Dean has even been initiated.” Allison added.
“Suits him, and i hope it haunts him and his new wife forever and ever and always.” Seraphina cursed.
“Can’t believe I was once scrambling around to get connections into the club, but after seeing what they contained, I lost interest. I don’t want richness at the expense of my peace.” Allison shook her head.
“You mentioned Acosta again,” Seraphina looked at her suspiciously.
“Nothing is going on.” Allison denied.
“No, it’s obvious you want that man. I know how you get when you want something Allison.” Seraphina teased, forgetting about her weariness again.
“He’s in charge of your building, girl, and I’m like your manager, so it’s normal that I usually meet him!” Allison rolled eyes.
“No, you want him!” Seraphina laughed for the first time in two days.
“You’re unbelievable…” Allison stood. “We met earlier, and he was with his daughter. This dude introduced me as Rasheeda, his client.”
Seraphina’s laughter this time was raw and unrestrained.
She laughed so hard she had to lean on the armrest.
Allison hissed as she entered the kitchen. “I shouldn’t have told you…”
“C’mon,” Seraphina stood. “Rasheeda!” She hollered, following her inside with a sprint.
At the kitchen door, she got another phone buzz. She was determined to switch off her phone, but the text isn’t from Vince.
It’s from another number.
• We need to meet and talk tomorrow, Seraphina. It’s Williams St. Graves.
Seraphina stopped, surprised.
—
[Vince’s Crib]
Vince sat on the table again, phone in hand as he read Seraphina’s text over and over like the text is a ticket to his ultimate undoing.
He looks fascinated—satisfied, inclined to that screen like he wants to vanish in and take out the letters to live inside them.
Little Angel: Let’s meet, tommorow night. You’ll get the location soon.
He brought the screen to his lips and kissed the text passionately, inhaling the screen as though it’s her.
“Wonder if she still smells like pomelo like back then. F+k, I miss that goddamn scent.”
He was literally romancing the phone.
Kimmy stood across him at the other side of the table. She hadn’t been able to take her seat since she arrived here.
There’s no other chair anyways.
She could only stand, watch and boil as Vince wallowed in his craziness.
She began wondering how she even fell for him in highschool in the first place, but then she can’t exactly call it a love affair, because she planned everything.
She saw how Teacher Vince looked Seraphina differently, and how he spent more time explaining topics to her in her class. The moles she planted in Seraphina’s class reported everything to her, and she decided it was time to take action.
She seduced Vince and made him take Seraphina’s virginity then hurt her by displaying her bloody skirt in school. But now this bastard said it wasn’t her blood, it was tonic.
He played her.
Now she’s here asking for his protection.
Nothing prepared her for this sick plot twist.
Her legs ache, and her knees nearly crashed to the ground. She began counting the minutes till she couldn’t take it anymore.
“I’ve been standing here for an hour without a word from you, Vince.”
Vince’s delusional romance with the phone ended immediately. He looked up with a side eye before sweeping Kimmy with his glare.
“You interrupted by relishing moment?”
“You told me to come, Vince.” Kimmy applied caution and patience in her words.
Vince stood from the table, sighing.
“You look pitiful, so I’ll give you an option,” he walked to her, deadpanning. “A bitch has been Seraphina’s best friend for years now, and I don’t like her. I feel like she’s dragging my angel astray, and I want her gone, totally.”
“Are you talking about Allison?” Kimmy asked.
“You’re smart,” Vince smiled.
“You want me to kill Allison?” Kimmy gasped. “Wait…you want me to kill?” Her eyes widened. “You’re powerful, you could get it done easily!”
“If I wanted to get it done myself, I wouldn’t task you with it, Kimora. Get it done, and receive my protection that you’re so eagar to get! I’ll give you 62hrs, meaning three days. Get Allison Hart cleared in three days, and I’ll forget everything you did in highschool. You’ll be pushed under my protective canopy where no one can breathe near you.” Vince cleared arrogantly, smirking.
Allison gulped, twice, then forcefully pushed her next words out.
“You better keep to your promise, Vincent.”
She turned around and rushed out the rooftop door.
Vince’s smirk disappeared.
“Are you really going to protect her, Leader?” One of his men asked.
“She has to believe that, and watch her move like a snake. She’d do anything to achieve her aims, typical bi+chy woman.”
He breathed out.
“Prepare the best suit alive and arrange otherworldly stylists for me. I’m meeting the love of my life tommorow.” His smile returned.
“Leader!” The last man called with a tone of urgency.
Vince faced him.
“Wrath Investments Empire is currently getting investigated. Full investigation opens tomorrow morning. Evidence of laundering was found in their shredder bin.”
Vince’s smile left him again.
“That dipshit Tobias, I knew he’d find another way. Call our man in the police station.” He ordered.
The call was made, and the phone was handed to him.
“Tell me,” Vince took it. “What are you gonna do to WEI case?”
“The case will be pointless before 8 tommorow morning, sir. It’ll be off the public eyes and will be buried as a investigation mistake.” The cop replied from the other end.
Vince’s smile unfolded.

[A Hospital]
When Marley and Genevieve rushed inside, the attending doctor was already waiting for them at the reception.
No word. They were led to Dora’s private ward.
Dora lay in bed.
Condition? Bad.
Face? Bad.
Body? Bad.
Breathing? Barely.
Genevieve covered her mouth with her palm, screaming.
“Dora!! Dora!!” She ran to her bedside. “Dora!! What’s this? Why is my baby down? Why is she…why is she in bed and badly wounded!!!”
“She was badly beaten by a golf stick, according to what her bodily wounds shapes and analysis said.” The doctor informed professionally.
Marley faced him, face curling like a viper. “My own daughter? Beaten with a golf stick?”
A female staff at the fashion clan who’s still conscious was taken in by two nurses.
Her faces has bruises too.
Every staff also got beaten by the golf stick, just that Dora’s is worse.
“All I know is….” She trembled. “SS Graves came in with a golf stick when we were preparing to close, and he began beating us.”
“SS?” Genevieve repeated sourly.
“Saint St. Graves, sir.” The staff trembled again.
“You mean one of the St. Graves brothers did this to my daughter?” Marley grinned, pocketing his hands.
“This war will never end till the death of us,” Genevieve muttered. “They asked for it, and they’ll get exactly what they asked for.”
“Call the Club,” Marley talked. “This will be tabled at tommorow’s special meeting. Dean should start preparing a grave for his brother.”
“There’ll be no grave, Marley.” Genevieve sneered. “His body will never be found.”
—
[Next Morning – Police Headquarters]
Estelle arrived at exactly 7am, disguised as a violated lady who came to report a crime.
She was shivering, trying to drag her hoodie to cover her chest as she entered the headquarters, wounded.
Pale lips and slightly bruised body.
Immediately she entered, she received strange looks from the cops coming in and going out of their various offices, but she made sure to keep her face down, keeping the acting a-class till she arrived at their center office where lots of lower officers are gathered.
“Young lady?” One of them met her, and that was when she slowly lifted her wounded face, shedding tears.
“I…I was raped.” She stuttered.
The cop nodded and called a female cop with himself.
Estelle was taken to a desk where she sat facing the female cop.
“Could you repeat what you said earlier?” The male asked.
“I went to club last night, and on my way back with my friends, we were robbed. My friends were knocked unconscious, and I was raped…” Estelle sniffled, wiping her tears.
“Can you give us the area name? Club name? Your name? Your friends identity and the time it was?” The female cop asked.
Estelle nodded.
“But is there a restroom here? I need to take a leak. I’ve been urinating frequently since it happened. I think I got UTI.” She sniffled again.
“Go down that hall,.” The female cop directed, and she slowly walked down there, making sure there’s enough gap between her legs.
She left the cops line of sight before quickening her steps.
Instead of going to the restroom, she went to the other door, and she immediately came across two cops.
She stepped back behind the door, covering herself up till they walked past. She reopened the door and walked through. Studying the map of this headquarters before coming here helped her. She located the office of a top commander and slipped inside.
She got busy with his system, planting evidence of bribery money between Wrath Investments Empire and the cop easily.
It took three dangerous minutes, then she slipped out as stealthily as she had slipped inside.
A second later, Dean and Kelly appeared with the commander who owns the office.
Apparently, they’re discussing how to bury the case, and it looks pretty intense as they head towards the office.
Dean’s phone cried out, a video call from Saint.
He wanted to swipe red, but mistakenly, he touched green.
Saint’s lawbreaking face popped on screen, mouth chewing gum carelessly and face pulled in a equally careless grin.
“Feels good to be a CEO at GME, Dean. Now I understand why you’re so obsessed with the Empire!”
Dean ended the call with a hiss.
“Clown arse.” Kelly cussed impatiently as she entered the office with Dean and the commander.
—
[Next Day – 5PM – A Snack Restaurant]
Seraphina entered with her shoulder bag hung over her shoulder. Under the warm, moderate spill of lights, she searched the restaurant for any sign of Uncle Will.
He had e sent this location as his peaceful place for the talk, so she came.
But as she searched for the man, she was sighted, fast.
“Seraphina the crocheting goddess?”
“Yarning beauty!”
“I swear, it’s her.”
“9.9 baby!”
“Mother of auctions!”
In a minute, she was shrouded by a crowd, containing patrons of the snack restaurant and the staffs of the restaurant themselves.
“Will you ever make an affordable crochet for middle-class like us?”
“I really want to have your crochet in my wardrobe.”
“You’re so beautiful, Seraphina.”
“Please sign me an autograph!”
“Please say you’ll make crochets for affordable prices even if it’s for a day. I’ll save my salary and buy!”
“Can I be one of the models for your next crochet set? Please pick me!”
“Who’s your BBL doctor?”
“Are you really in a relationship with Tobias St. Graves?”
“Are you single now that Dean is married to Kelly?”
Seraphina nearly choked to death in their middle. Not with the questions, but with the crowd.
They’re too much.
How did she get this fame?
Where did this popularity come from?
Is this really her?
The girl who menstruated in her family estate cellar? Who had just one uniform?
She was covered till Uncle Will stepped in from nowhere with his bodyguards. The bodyguards took her away from the excited crowd, and she finally regained freedom.
Five minutes later, she sat face-to-face with Uncle Will in a reserved backroom.
A chilled untouched glass of juice sat on the table between them, giving the silence a different kind of coldness.
Seraphina expected him to talk first.
“Congratulations on becoming the first woman to become a strong celebrity within two days.” He finally broke the choky silence.
“It’s still like a dream,” Seraphina shook her head. “I mean…yunno.”
“Yeah, and all thanks to Tobias, isn’t it?” He strained his voice.
At the mention of that name, Seraphina’s lashes twitched.
“I was shocked too when I heard he organized the auction and brought the guests. I mean…he wouldn’t go that far for anyone cos he believes no one deserves goodness from him since he didn’t receive goodness growing up.” Uncle Will smiled.
“Why are you telling me these?” Seraphina asked slowly.
“Cos…after today….” He drawled, averting his gaze to the juice glass. “After today, I don’t know what I might do, Seraphina. I guess this is my last act of father figure to him.”
“I don’t understand…” Seraphina said.
“He frolicked with many girls in University, and he…spoilt them all with money like people say, but he wouldn’t go as far as organizing auction for anyone or saving anyone from a rival cult or shedding blood for anyone. I mean…he didn’t even do it for Kelly.” He shrugged.
“He suffered from severe OCD when he was 5. He wouldn’t touch what others touched, and if anyone entered his bedroom except him, he’d spend the whole day mopping the room and cleaning up thoroughly. Whenever he set things up and met them in a different position later, he’d spend the whole day trying to set that thing back. And if dirt touched him, he’d spend hours washing himself in the bathroom and after coming out of the bathroom, he’d still spend hours wiping his hands with handkerchief, that’s why he has very pale skin. His parents didn’t know cos they paid no attention, but I knew.”
“When he turned 8, the disorder suddenly left him, and I thought it was over, but then he grew obsessed with the scent of blood when he turned 9. When he became a uni student, his OCD returned, and it got worse cos he only fucked virgins—he believed already touched ladies weren’t for him.”
“He couldn’t touch anything without gloves, so he was always wearing them. He didn’t even touch any of his bitches with his bare hands before, it was always with the gloves, and if his bitch went ahead to f+k another guy, he’d crash out so bad it’d get brutally bloody ugly. That’s why he nearly killed Kelly and Dean…he killed Kelly’s parents though.”
Seraphina bit her tongue in her mouth. So…that was why he always wore gloves when she first met him two and a half months ago.
“But you….” Uncle Will resumed. “You were with your highschool boyfriend, you were with Dean, but he still f+ked with you, he doesn’t even wear gloves anymore. Look, I’m not saying this to make him seem like a god of some sort, but….he’s got Fear of Abandonment, and he tried to fight it by gathering a cult, but it didn’t work cos he can’t even form attachments.”
“Stop…” Seraphina mumbled.
Uncle Will nodded and stood as if he has been expecting her to say that word.
“I hope the next time we meet, we’ll still be able to talk this friendly.” He meaningfully said and left with his bodyguards.
The juice is still cold on the table, and Seraphina is still seated, unmoved till her phone buzzed with Allison’s call.
She knew it was time to meet Vince.
—
[A Local Pub]
Seraphina intentionally choose the poolside of the pub as the meeting place with Vince.
Vince arrived since ten minutes ago, waiting and anticipating in his most expensive white suit.
He wore heavy perfume and spotless white shoes too, smokes aside, drinks aside, he waited for her arrival.
He didn’t allow his men inside this place with him.
They stood outside. He’s gonna be meeting the love of his life alone.
He counted milliseconds with his breaths, and at the eleventh seconds, she appeared in there.
Seraphina came with Allison, but Vince didn’t even see Allison. He stayed fixated on Seraphina who looks emotional like she’s seeing a long lost lover after so many years.
Vince opened his arms, smiling bright, chuckling.
“Come on! Come into my arms! I’ve been waiting for you!”
Seraphina dropped her bag on the floor, running all the way to him.
The race was unexpected, and Vince’s arms closed around her when she hugged him tight.
“F+k! Little Angel…” He kissed her on the neck.
“Phina!!!” Allison yelled. “Are you f+king mad?”

[Tobias’s Oddsion – 6pm]
The newly hired maids are still wiping the floors and walls and ceilings of every corner in the house.
It started since last night, and it’s still continuing till now.
They only took a five minutes break to eat at noon, after which they returned to their chores.
Jude and Yalda acted their standby supervisors, but hours ago, Yalda left the Oddsion too. It’s just Jude now.
At some minutes past 7, Tobias’s black limousine drove into the compound, and as if planned, Migos’s car drove in right behind him.
As Tobias got down at the park, Migos crossed him, anxious.
“You need to see this, Rose.” He handed his phone to Tobias.
Tobias looked at him first, looking colder than the island waters he’s just coming from.
He took the phone eventually, playing the screen video.
It shows Seraphina hugging Vincent tight, and Vince kissing her neck.
He pointed the phone back to Migos without a word like he didn’t just watch the video.
“You told me to keep an eye on her, and I took it serious. I’ve always said she belongs in the slums.” Migos said.
Instantly, few raindrops began hitting their skins, indicating a coming rain.
Migos quickly got an umbrella out of his car, opened it and covered Tobias.
“Knew it was gonna rain.” He explained.
They haven’t even moved when a sports car drove into the Oddsion, straight into the park.
By now, the rain is getting heavy.
Seraphina slipped out of the car, and Migos’s eyes snapped as she marched forward with loud stumps.
Seems she was ready to talk even before she came, so she let it all out.
“I overreacted last night, and it’s because I’ve been overly traumatized by wedding talk and ring issue or fake show of affection. I’ll take care of Vince myself, you don’t have to—”
“You’re taking care of him as you should, locked in his arms.” Tobias chuckled dryly.
“You….” Seraphina drawled. “You already know? Well—”
“You need to get out of here, or whatever I do in the next two minutes, is on you.” He cut in calmly, frostily, like a mean God.
“You need to calm down and listen to that I have to say!!” She yelled. “This is the problem with you! You never listen to me!! Sometimes, I wonder what the difference between you and my family is! They shut me up, and you always do the same!!”
“This place ain’t your f+kin trauma bin. No one listened to me too, and you don’t see me going around telling the tale to whoever cares to f+kin listen!!!” He yelled, pushing Migos’s umbrella away so the rain began wetting him angrily too.
“You act like you have no empathy, but it’s all just a bulletproof to mask your own trauma, and you have no idea how many people you hurt with that, and you don’t even care!!” She yelled back, pointing.
“You’ll forever remain a damn pathetic, damn unloved, badly treated, and a love-starved Dog who’ll never have a taste of what it feels like, and that is exactly what you fuckin deserve!!” He snarled, roaring.
“And you’ll forever remain pathetically unchosen, abandoned, loved only because of his money and face and stupid s+x drive! You’ll always be abandoned at the graveyard! You’ll never be chosen because of YOU!!” She thundered.
And at the same time, a thunderclap shook the skies, and the rain got madder, but the rain wasn’t the only thing that got madder.
Tobias got madder too, drawing his gun from his pocket.
He didn’t wait, didn’t think, he shot in her direction, and she quickly went down. The bullet shattered the window of her sports car.
She stood slowly, eyes wide, dark.
She looked at the shattered car window, then slowly at him. He’s still stretching the gun.
“F+k you, to the deepest part of hell!” She cussed loudly and hopped back in her car, driving out wetly in the rain.
Yalda’s car drove in afterwards.
She jumped down with her own phone which she shoved at Tobias.
“You need to see this, for real. I mean for real.” She muttered.
Tobias didn’t take it, but he saw the video playing on it.
Playing Video……………
Seraphina dropped her bag on the floor, running all the way to him.
The race was unexpected, and Vince’s arms closed around her when she hugged him tight.
“F+k! Little Angel…” He kissed her on the neck.
“Phina!!!” Allison yelled. “Are you f+king mad?”
“Maybe I am,” Seraphina mumbled, revealing a brand new knife from under her sleeve.
Vince didn’t notice, didn’t suspect or realize anything till the blade thrusted into his back.
“Agghh!!! Little….” He roared. “Little….arggg!!!”
VIDEO PAUSED.
Tobias paused the video, bringing his depraved eyes up.
“Migos only showed you half intentionally, I guess….” Yalda said.
With calculated stretch, Tobias removed Yalda’s big knife from her hostler, and with it, he walked slowly towards Migos.
“Rosie…” Migos whispered, sensing his own doom and end. “Rosie, you can’t—”
Tobias sent the knife ramming into his chest, splitting it open with the blade which cut off Migos’s words.
“Rosie!!!!” He growled, and it called out the Odds from the Oddsion.
Everyone of them came out to watch.
“Rosie….”
Second stab and twist.
“Rosi…”
Third stab and twist.
“Ros…”
Fourth stab and twist.
“Ro…”
Fifth stab and twist.
Migos’s chest cracked completely, splitting apart.
The knife is so sharp his bones made way for each other.
His chest contents displayed, and rain washed his blood down in floods of crimson and cruelty.
Jude and Estelle came out at the same time, and Estelle dropped on her knees at what she witnessed.
Jude’s eyes widened.
Yalda just stood neutrally like the other Odds surrounding the compound.
“You said he wasn’t gay…” Jude whispered shockingly.
“I was wrong.” Yalda hummed.
Tobias’s hand entered Migos’s cracked chest, pulling out his blood pumping component—the heart.

Tobias held the heart in his left hand like a feeding vampire, and the rain made Migos’s blood that splashed on his face flood down his sharp jaws.
Migos’s strong body slipped back, but his mouth is slightly open as he said his very last words.
“I love you to the square of deadly madness, My Rosie.”
