“Seraphina. Say it.” Tobias’s order fell like a detonation, burning painfully through Migos’s ears.

His eyes stared deep into Tobias’s, and despite the beast he saw eye-to-eye in Tobias’s eyes, his stubbornness never crashed.

His blood kept spreading on his shirt, and the thorning sensation of the knife inside him? It was maddening.

Tobias’s palm still held the knife handle. If he held it any tighter, it might become one with his palm.

Migos’s eyes reddened more, like he wants to start bleeding from the eyes too, but he’s not the only red-eyed one here.

Tobias is one too.

His eyes are red like burning coals. The blue disappeared completely, crowned by a bloody hue.

He looks like a starved vampire.

“I….I promised to never let any fucker come near you after you saved me from execution…” Migos muttered. “I already ate my last meal and was about to sit on the execution chair when you appeared and… and saved me. I was already seeing death face-to-face, but you….saved me.”

Tobias didn’t move.

“You own my life, and I’d rather die a hundred times over and over again than see you get hurt again. I know you felt only a slight attachment for Kelly in Hollow, but when she choose Dean, you went crazy and got into an accident. You were hooked between your car seat and your steering, and the weapons you hid on your seat leather nearly pierced into your skin. The evidence is the unnatural dimples on your back.” Migos continued, looking too rugged.

“Now, this new one… you’re going feral for her, I know it. I know once you get attached to someone, you do it hard. Your attachments is as hard as your violence, and I don’t want a repeat of Kelly. I swear if Seraphina f+ks up, I’ll turn NYC upside down and even the innocent will pay!”

Tobias let go of him immediately, throwing his head back. The fact that Migos called her name is the only thing he wants to ear.

“Good, keep it that way… it’s Seraphina. Never forget.” He said.

Migos staggered, forcefully pulling the knife out of himself.

He staggered again, and the Odds behind him quickly moved, knowing he might just take out his frustrations on whoever holds him.

He fell on the railings, grunting with those bloodshot eyes.

But he pushed himself up, clutching his chest tighter.

“I’ll go fuel the jet…” He took a little bow and staggered out of the balcony.

Jude released a breath he didn’t know he was holding, still shocked.

“He’s crazy…” He muttered.

Yalda rushed in just in time.

“Attorney contacted, and he’s ready to fly to Atlanta with you. Also, I told someone to fix your breakfast.”

“I don’t need the breakfast, Yalda.” Tobias frowned. “You and Jude, go check out the sabotaged land.”

“Who’s gonna follow you to Atlanta besides the attorney?” Yalda asked. “Migos is wounded, he surely won’t be able to go.”

“What do you think I am?” Tobias’s frown lessened. “A toddler?”

Yalda went shut, and Tobias left the balcony fast.

“Fuck, I hate when he’s moody.” Yalda muttered.

Jude is still holding Tobias’s cigar. He took a quick puff from it, coughing as the smokes hit his lungs.

Yalda faced him.

“Well, look who’s dragging his first smoke.” She smiled.

“This is crazy…” Jude looked at the cigarette after he calmed down. “It smells nice, very nice.”

“That’s because Wrath cares about his dental health too much. He smokes majestically as a perfectionist.” Yalda yapped shortly.

Jude dropped the cigarette and faced her slowly. “Migos seems like he’s got a twisted relationship with him.”

“Don’t get it twisted,” Yalda raised a finger. “He’s not gay. That a+shole is straighter than straight, but he loves Wrath in a brotherly, hotheaded manner. You know what I’m saying?”

“I do…” Jude nodded. “I mean… First Man saved me from loaners, and I’d die for him, so I understand Migos who was saved from death.”

“I was saved too,” Yalda came clean. “My father was Iranian, and after his death, I came to find my mother here in America. I didn’t find shit, and I had no shelter. I got raped by a gang of thugs, and—”

“You got r+ped?” Jude cut in shockingly.

“They were six, and they were planning to gang-rape me, but only one of them got to do it before Wrath got to us. He saved me, then handed me a gun to kill the six of em. I followed him, and I’d die for him too. You see, everyone of we Odds have a big story to tell about him. He’s like our big brother. This cult? It’s our golden brotherhood.”

“And I’m glad to be here…” Jude smiled genuinely.

Now she understands why Yalda is lesbian. That one rape must have left a incurable scar on her.

“Yeah, brother.” Yalda pat his back.

“But I think Seraphina is a good lady. Migos needs to relax.” Jude said.

“We all thought Kelly was cool too” She faced Jude. “Swear to Odium, If Seraphina f+ks up, Migos won’t be the only one to turn this city upside down, me and the other Odds too.”

“Understandable…” Jude sighed. “Just hope Estelle passes whatever test she’s given.”

“She seems like a tough one, I look forward to her first rodeo.” Yalda nodded. “Shall we go check out the sabotaged land?”

“Of course,” Jude moved with her, glancing at her shoulder. “You good?”

“Yeah, not my first gunshot wound…” Yalda shrugged.

They walked past the room Estelle was taken into, and Jude’s eyes met with Estelle’s briefly.

“Thank you.” Estelle mouthed.

Jude nodded.

[Allison’s Mansion]

Allison jumped out of her car and shut the door with a slam.

She had followed the cops car earlier after they took Seraphina, but she lost sight of the car at a point. It’s like the car disappeared on the road after a truck drove past her.

She went to the area stations and beyond, but none of them attested to Seraphina’s arrest. The record of her arrest isn’t anywhere.

And that scared her so much she went to Dean’s office, but she was told Dean rushed off earlier.

Now she’s back home to get the mails of some of her clients so she can ask for help, but she met Acosta waiting in front of the house the moment she came down. He flew to her.

“I’m sorry I came late, Allison. I was given an additional job in….”

“It’s not important anymore now, Acosta. Phina got arrested.” She interrupted his sentence.

“What!” Acosta’s eyes widened. “No, not possible. If her parents made any move to get her arrested, I’d know.”

“It’s not her parents,” Allison gulped. “They called themselves Atlanta police with their arrest warrant, accusing her of attempted murder in Hollow University five years ago.”

“Atlanta?” Acosta repeated. “She didn’t even attend Hollow!”

“I know, and I followed the car, but I lost them, Acosta. I don’t think they’re cops. Maybe they’re disguised? Everyone saw the news of how some illegal transporters disguised as cops to make their transport last night. What if they also disguised as cops to get Phina? I can’t believe this is happening when we called you to help her manage her new building construction…I…I’m not thinking straight I swear. What if they…what…

“Heyyy!” Acosta held her shoulders.

“You know she went through a lot, and now she’s only supposed to calm and enjoy her shine, but it’s not…”

“Allison!” Acosta called.

“I need to go contact some of my clients maybe they can help…”

“She’s connected to Tobias St. Graves, isn’t he?” Acosta said.

Allison blinked back.

“Wait….”

“Yeah, and I believe he’ll fix this.” Acosta assured.

“But I’m still worried…she’s my…”

“I know, and I understand, but bet on Tobias. That motherfucker can get anything done in few secs. He’s freaking rich, I just know it.”

Allison nodded.

“C’mon,” Acosta stroked her shoulders to calm her.

Allison nodded again.

—

[Heart of NYC Land]

When Jude and Yalda stopped the car right in front of the property, they met more than chaos.

It was insane…the number of reporters and cops present.

The land has been surrounded with the stupid police tape like snakes, making the place as crime scene.

Even civilians are there, wanting to get a glimpse of the dead bodies.

“This is…” Jude muttered.

“Well planned,” Yalda added.

“I’m telling you…” Jude scoffed.

Yalda made to come down, but Jude pulled her back.

“No! Your face…”

“I wore a brown wig and a darker foundation during the transportation last night, so don’t worry… I’ll never be recognized. Odds are always in light disguises during missions.”

“Oh…” Jude released her.

They came out of the car and had to force their way closer, but they weren’t allowed to go beyond the rope. Cops stopped them.

“We need to be in there.” Yalda said.

“This is a marked crime scene, and who are you?” A cop queried.

“Workers for the owner of this land,” Yalda brought out Tobias’s business stamp out of her pocket.

“Now?” She rolled eyes at the cop.

They were allowed to go past the rope, and truly, five dead bodies lay cold in the middle of the land.

They’re already smelling, full of motis. They had to plug their noses.

“Shit..” Jude muttered, seeing the faces of the bodies. They’re kids, maybe below sixteen.

All of them.

“Did they have to use kids?” Jude continued, raging.

“Valhalla?” Yalda scoffed. “They’d use themselves if need calls for it.”

“What’s to be done now?” Jude asked.

“This land is to be confiscated by the government till this investigation has a strong evidence stating that the owner of this land is not involved in the killing of these kids.” The female cop said behind.

They both turned.

“And where is the evidence that he was involved in the first place?” Jude confronted, angry.

“This is his land, in his name!” The cop glared. “Of course he’s the prime suspect. Tobias St. Graves, isn’t he?”

“I assume he has f+ked you before,” Yalda stepped in. “You say his name like you know how his d+k feels.”

“Oh dear, everyone in this city knows the name of that criminal and the havoc he wrecks. And the transportation that happened last night? He’s the prime suspect.”

“Where is the evidence to support your claims?” Yalda pushed the chest of the cop intentionally. “Your bre+sts feel soggy, not something I’d wanna put my mouth on to suck!”

“You’ll be arrested for obstruction of investigation!” The cop threatened.

“Yeah I’d like to know how the cell walls feel…wank!” Yalda shot.

“Yalda!” Jude pulled her back.

“Just you wait…” The cop smiled. “Evidences are coming, and once we find just a tiny bit to nail your First Man? He’ll be gone for life.”

“You sound retarded!” Yalda shouted.

“Yalda!” Jude pulled again. “Someone’s watching us.”

Hearing that, Yalda calmed, looking sidewards briefly.

In the middle of the crowd, Uncle Will stood, weird.

“That man gives me a bad gut feeling,” Yalda muttered. “Why the f+k is he everywhere, watching?”

By the far back, at the roadside, a limousine sat on the tar. Inside it, sat Genevieve, Marley and Kimmy.

They watched what’s going on satisfactorily.

“Knew this would go as planned…” Marley laughed.

“Doublecross-ing us should be in his list of never-to-do’s.” Genevieve said as she retouched her lipstick.

“I was starting to think your Valhalla is useless, they proved me wrong….” Kimmy chuckled from the back.

“There’s an official meeting tonight, and I can’t wait for Leader’s new horizon.” Marley mentioned.

“You think he’ll be initiating Dean?” Genevieve looked up from her mirror

“It took us months to complete our sins, Genevieve…” Marley scoffed. “You had to lust after your driver, had him inside you and killed him. I had to lust over the maid too and killed her after tasting her. We had to greedily take contracts that weren’t ours and hate our family friends, and of course we both had to kill people we loved in this family. It took us months, but Dean received his invite last week, and you’re talking about initiation? Don’t make me laugh.”

“Try to understand my eagerness,” Genevieve scoffed. “If we could have Wrath Investments Empire under the club wing, Dean will be easy to control. Imagine a grownup man receiving order from someone to get married to the Frump.”

“I still wonder who he got the order from till now. That simp.” Marley grinned, relaxing.

Noticing Kimmy’s silence, Genevieve looked back to see Kimmy’s face in her phone, texting relentlessly.

“You look troubled.” She chirped.

“Acosta was reported to have left the office since an hour ago, and I’ve been trying to reach him. He’s neither returning my calls nor replying my text messages.” Kimmy said.

“Just get his arse divorced and stop training headache in form of a husband!” Marley snapped.

“His parents asked for help, and they agreed to give their son as leverage. You decided to marry the son, and I kindly agreed. Now that he’s depreciating, just let him go.”

“You both can’t deny he’s the best Project Manager ever in Redd Holdings. He does his work well and you both even forbade him from working for others.” Kimmy hissed.

“Did you just defend him?” Marley looked back too.

“Just stating the obvious.” Kimmy dropped her phone.

“I’ll grill him if he’s cheating on you.” Genevieve promised.

“And where is Dora? Is she married to her Fashion Clan these days? She’s never at home.” Marley complained.

Genevieve’s phone buzzed.

“Talk of the devil..” she smiled when she saw it’s Dora’s text.

Dora: I need your help, mum. I need you to get rid of Bexley Hart for me.

[Bexley’s Place]

Frontman: Official meet tonight at 10. Delilahs are dancing.

Bexley looks like a terrified ghost as she read the text that sat on her phone screen from Frontman.

She stood behind one of her couches, balling her fists. She’s out of her covering clothes. Now her bodily wounds and scars are showing.

The infirmary at Valhalla tried it’s best for her, but they’re rod-induced bruises. Won’t heal early.

It might take months or even a year for this body to heal.

Meaning—no Valhalla money for a year. How would she survive?

Fine, Allison gives her heavy allowance monthly and pays her school tuition, but she still needs the club money to sponsor her luxurious lifestyle and buy herself a new car.

If she uses the allowance from Allison to buy a small Lexus, what would her school mates think?

She already bragged about how she can never enter a Lexus.

What the f+k is she gonna do?

She has to dance tonight. She totally has to lead the dance again.

The ringing doorbell made her jerk from her thoughts.

She quickly covered up her skin before going to the door.

Opening up, she saw the face she doesn’t even wanna see.

“Saint?”

“What’s up?” Saint leaned on her wall lazily, hands pocketed.

“What the hell are you doing in my house?” Bexley glared. “I only followed you to drink last night because Dora was there and—”

“And you wanted to shove it in her face?” Saint cut in sharply. “You think I don’t know that?”

“So why are you still here?” Bexley crossed her arms.

“I’m interested in knowing what went down during the days you disappeared.” Saint asked, flatly.

“Why would you be interested in my private life?” Bexley questioned.

“It’s not private of I know Dora got you and did something dirty to you before locking you up somewhere.” Saint entered the house.

“I didn’t invite you in.” Bexley retorted.

“I don’t care,” he elbowed her arm.

“F+k you!” She cussed.

“On the bed, or on the floor?” Saint faced her fast.

“Cunt.” She rolled eyes.

“Where’s your kitchen?” He turned with a smile. “Are there carrots? Chinese noodles?”

“Don’t you dare enter my kitchen!” Bexley ran after him.

“Tomayo Tomato…” He grinned, sliding into the kitchen.

“Saint!!” She quickened her steps.

Outside the house, Tino stood, staring at the building with layered eyes.

[Atlanta Georgia – 3pm]

On the private runway only used by politicians, two private jets made their touchdowns just two minutes away from each other.

From the first gold color one, Tobias stepped out with his attorney beside him. His attorney—a sturdy man in his early forties who looks brilliant as he marched with Tobias’s steps.

From the second white jet, Dean stepped down with three of his guards behind him and his own attorney too who looks older.

No one looked at each other. They just walked fast to their waiting cars.

Tobias in a Ferrari, and Dean in a Rover.

The drive to the Atlanta regional police headquarters was roughly five minutes from there.

Immediately the brothers entered with their lawyers, nearly half of the department on the outer desks stood.

“Holy….shit. the St. Graves??”

“Where the f+k is Sera?” Tobias demanded, impatience lurking above those words like wasps.

“Where is my wife!” Dean slammed.

Five cops rushed over to attend to them. Four went to Dean since he’s the well-known CEO anyways.

Only one went to Tobias.

“Sera?” He respectfully asked.

“Seraphina Redd from the real estate mogul family in NYC.” His attorney told the cop specifically.

“There’s no Seraphina Redd here.” The cop cleared. “Besides, why would Atlanta cops go to NYC for an arrest when they could simply alert the NYC police departments.”

“Now if I step into your cells, and find her in one of them, I’ll kill you in here and shove money into the mouths of your superiors to silence them.” Tobias growled, no calm.

“Here’s our apprehension log for today, sir.” The cop showed him his phone screen. “There’s no Seraphina Redd. You can trust my words.”

“You’re telling me Ruth Beaufort didn’t order any secrecy?” Tobias closed in, nearly entering the cop.

“Beaufort family?” The cop frowned. “No. In fact, none of our officers flew to NYC for any arrest today.”

“Thank you,” the attorney replied.

Tobias made his way out of the station, and at the same time, Dean made his way out.

They met by the door.

This time, Dean is definitely ready for a talk, so he stopped.

“I deserve an explanation on why you’re in this same city, trying to act like superman for my wife. Why are you here, Tobias?” He questioned.

“I can be wherever the f+k I want, Dean.” Tobias cockily cleared, lips tight. “And wife? You sound stupid.”

“Now that my wife and I are coming to a mutual understanding, you’re going to be a pain in the arse again?” Dean accused. “You’ve always been fond of having things you don’t deserve, but her? The only way she’ll reach you is when I have a number tag on my toe! You even lied that your face was between her legs, and it’s funny at this point. Are you that desperate for her body?”

Tobias laughed shortly without planning to. Who wouldn’t? There’s a clown right in front of him, swinging with the circus of stupidity.

“Damn, you’ve become more interesting, Dean. I should spend more time with you. Keep you around for entertainment.”

“The only person who deserves my time is her!” Dean shot. “It feels blissful whenever I’m with her, just like it felt last night when I was devouring her lips in my car!”

At that last statement, Tobias’s ears reddened. It was instantaneous as if he had just heard a taboo language.

The corner of his eyes tweaked, twice. His brows tweaked once, and his lashes refused to shake.

“I’ll find my wife myself….” Dean added. “Go find your sanity, you bloodthirsty moron.”

Dean walked out with his guards and attorney after that.

Tobias remained there. He didn’t even know his thumb was pressing his index, till his nail penetrated, and he bled to the floor.

“Wrath?” His attorney called.

That was enough to swing him back to the present.

He stepped out.

“They probably disguised as cops to take her and she’s somewhere in this city.” The attorney said.

Tobias retrieved his phone, checking the location of her phone.

It showed him Allison’s house in NYC. They must have arrested her there, and she must have left it there.

So…he checked the location of the gun he gave her since luckily…it has an attached tracker on it.

If she could just have the gun with her. And he guessed right.

The gun location is somewhere in this Atlanta city.

“Where the heck is Wolfson Avenue?” He faced the attorney.

The attorney opened the car door for him, gesturing.

“Get in, sir. I’ll drive.”

Tobias got in, and the attorney drove off smooth and fast.

Dean is still at the park, trying to mobilize a police search squad.

Two minutes later, ten cops from that headquarters were released for him. He left with them for the search.

Some went to Beaufort Mansion to check for the Beaufort family.

—

[Wolfson Avenue – Beaufort Family Secret Hideout]

Seraphina was definitely drugged when she was taken into the police car, reason why she slept off and has no idea what happened afterwards.

Now she woke up to meet herself in this corny place that looks like somewhere pulled out of a horror book. It’s horrifying, but she only swallowed spit once while trying to look around the fully lit place.

She’s on top of a chair, bound to it by ropes she never saw before. But the chair isn’t on the floor.

It’s on top of something she didn’t recognize at first.

Looking down at what she’s on top of, her heart skipped a beat.

It’s a tunnel, and inside, there’s a liquid which looks like water, but the ooze coming out of it and swirling at the edges gave her a hint.

Hydrochloric acid.

She might have dropped out of university at year one, but she’s still conversant.

She’s on top of a chair, and the chair is suspended on top of a tunnel of hydrochloric acid?

How did she even get here? They weren’t cops? Cos if they’re cops, she’d be in a police station to explain herself rather than here.

The room is small, and when the door opened, the creak reached everywhere.

Ruth came in with her mother trailing behind her.

Mrs. Beaufort who looks like she gave Ruth her exact face.

Merely looking at them, Seraphina knew she was her mum, and she recognized Ruth as the nun who tried to disgrace her in church.

So..

This is still it?

This is still the case?

“It’s you…” Seraphina muttered, shaking her head.

Mrs. Beaufort sat on a chair waiting below the tunnel.

Ruth stood, smiling bright.

“You look good on top of that place, Slutphina.” She commented, strolling around like this is her home.

“You sent fake cops to arrest me for a sin I didn’t commit?” Seraphina tilted.

“My Mama wanted to contact the real cops, but then we thought… where’s the fun in that?” Ruth spread her palms. “So we hired fake Atlanta cops to get you from NYC, toss you in a private jet and get you to Atlanta.”

“Atlanta?” Seraphina gasped. “Did you just say Atlanta?”

Ruth chuckled, enjoying this. “Yeah, you heard that right… You’re in Atlanta, bit+cha+s.”

“What do you want from me?” Seraphina tilted back, cautious. “What exactly do you want!!”

“I want you to pay for your sins!” Ruth yelled. “You came to Hollow University for their admission exams, and you saw Tobias for the first time. You got so obsessed with him, and when you found out I was his girlfriend, you brought people to my hostel and waterboarded me like hell. I was bedridden! Tobias broke up with me cos he thought I had an infection. It’s all you!!!”

“I didn’t even do any of the things you’re saying, bi+ch!!” Seraphina yelled angrily. “I never entered Hollow University, not even once, and five years ago, I didn’t know Tobias or you! Why the hell are you lying on me motherfucker!!”

Ruth picked a gun from nowhere, aiming straight at Seraphina’s face.

It’s her gold color gun that was on her body! Ruth must have taken it when she was unconscious.

Seraphina went still, gumming herself to that chair.

She shut her eyes.

“I’d have liked for you to drown in that acid tunnel below you, but at the same time, I wanna plant a bullet in you. Maybe I could do both?” Ruth sneered, arm still stretched.

Seraphina kept her eyes shut, tightly.

Ruth lowered her hand, grinning. “How I wish my brother were here, you’d have been surprised to see who he actually is, whore.”

Seraphina opened her eyes slowly.

Mrs. Beaufort stood. Maybe she decided to finally talk.

Ruth looked back.

“Mama, let’s get it over with.”

“No, I want her waterboarded too, then you plant your bullet in her, then drown her in the tunnel.” Mrs. Beaufort said easily.

“I love the idea of three in one.” Ruth smiled at her mother.

“Bring in the clothes and water!” Mrs. Beaufort ordered.

And two men who look like cooperate guards brought in a pail of water and a big white shawl.

They dipped the shawl in water, making sure it was all wet.

“Over to her head…” Mrs. Beaufort dropped the next order.

The two moved.

“I swear to Gawd, Ruth Beaufort… you’ll be fucked! Mark my words! You’ll be fucked!!!” Seraphina yelled.

“Sure, by Tobias.” Ruth shrugged, using straw to drink from a closed Stanley cup of coffee.

And that was punctured by the easy entrance of a new member of the room. The entry wasn’t forced, loud, or violent. Almost like the person build the foundation of the house with them and created the lock.

The guards with the wet shawl stopped, and Ruth’s straw went down from her lips, slowly.

“Tobias!” Seraphina gasped.

Immediately Ruth saw who entered, the cup fell from her, wasting the coffee. She turned around as fast as the wind, going for the door.

Tobias was ready with his short gun intact. He released a shot, and the house echoed with the deadly noise as the bullet ran into Ruth’s leg.

The vital part of her leg.

But she didn’t scream despite the wrecking pain that punched through her viscera. She dragged herself out of the room like that, and Tobias faced the two guards with his fire.

They got guns too, but their shots met the air, barely reaching him as he shot twice—one for each.

Their heads received the merciless metals, and their blood sprayed the tunnel below them as they fell.

Tobias looks like he’s not seeing anything with the darkness moulding his eyes and entire face.

Like he has been snatched by something far destructive than hell and choose to stay trapped.

His head screamed just one thing, and he followed the lead of the monster in there as he got a hold of Mrs. Beaufort.

He threw his gun away, squeezing his palm to a round fist. He began sending it to the woman’s face, squashing and battering.

Two after twos.

“I’ll get you arrested!!” She yelled wetly as blood spilled from her nose and mouth. Her teeth entered her gums, sending pains to her head.

“I’ll….help!!!!!! Help…help!!!!!!!!!”

She swallowed her own blood as Tobias punched it back into her mouth, throat tearing.

“Hel…..help!”

Her voice shortened, snot mixing with blood in her nostrils as she struggled under his mercy.

His punches didn’t stop coming.

He swung them with accurate mercilessness. There’s no mercy to give this idiot in front of him.

He punched her throat, and she splurged blood to his neck.

He punched her two eyes, and she lost her sight.

He punched her mouth and nose again, and the remaining life in her fell.

She went limp.

But he kept punching as if he wants to kill her dead body, too.

On top of the tunnel, Seraphina knew she had to do something.

“Tobias,” she whispered.

It didn’t even reach him.

“Tobias!” She raised her voice.

He increased his punch flows.

Seraphina gasped when she saw the suspender was getting weak and preparing to cut her off.

“The suspender…it’s going to snap!!” She yelled desperately.

That was enough.

He threw Mrs. Beaufort’s body away, and the body fell against the tunnel.

That just fastened the cut of the suspender, and Seraphina slipped.

“Tobias!!!” She screamed.

He picked out a knife, pressed it against the rope knot bounding her to the chair. Seraphina fell free from the chair, dropping into his arms.

He caught her safely, and the chair fell into the acid tunnel.

But the tunnel was tumbling hard to it’s fall, so Tobias ran.

With Seraphina in his arms, he ran. She swiftly wrapped her arms around his neck, balancing.

He raised her gun from the ground with his shoe, and as it flew up, he caught it with his second hand.

With just one hand, he carried Seraphina out in a bridal style, running till he was far enough.

That distance wasn’t enough to not make them hear when the acid tunnel fell and burned everything around it, melting them to ruins.

Tobias dropped Seraphina beside his car, and he handed her his gun without looking at her.

She took it, panting. “Thank you. I could have used the gun if I knew they weren’t real cops. I didn’t—”

“Even if they’re real cops, next time use your damn weapon! No one’s gonna bury you when you die. Not your family, not any damn body!” He snapped at her, too angry.

His ears are still red, and his eyes still hold entities she didn’t like.

He entered the car without waiting for her, and she slowly entered with him, wondering why he looks so angry. Is it because she wasted his time by making him come get her?

Or because he hates the energy he exhausted at the scene?

Her thoughts were still processing when he moved the car out of the area. He drove.

For the first time, she saw him drive, and she can’t even admire the way he drove with one hand cos she’s too occupied with his mood.

It affects her, weirdly.

He’s speeding. She could feel it in the way their car was swerving, eating too many tar per second.

The city view flashed past her behind the window like a blurry dream.

It’s 7pm, and Atlanta city is bright, but she can’t admire that too.

She looked at him.

“Are you mad at me?” She asked.

And that only made him step on the gas, more than before.

His speed became killing.

She had to hold on to the seatbelt strapped over her body.

“Tobias?” She muttered.

He didn’t blink. He added speed.

“Tobias!! Tobias, you’re over-speeding! We’re going to die!”

“Tobias!!”

“Did you kiss Dean last?” He asked the unexpected like a bombshell.

“What!” Her eyes widened. “You have to stop the car right now! You have to stop or we’re going to—”

“Did you kiss Dean? Answer me!!” He yelled, focusing on the road.

“Tobias, I don’t know what you’re—”

“Did you?” He repeated.

“You told me to go kiss him, that you wouldn’t care!” She shouted back.

“You did?” He stepped on the gas to the last level.

“No no…” Her eyes widened. “Tobias!! No no…stop!!!!”

He didn’t.

“I would never kiss Dean even if I was between life and death! I would never kiss him! I didn’t kiss Dean!” She yelled crazily.

And his hands left the steering.

The car moved on it’s own, speeding into the middle of an intersection.

Tobias’s arm stretched to Seraphina’s side, unplugging her seatbelt.

Like a human doll, he hoisted her from her seat to himself. He shoved her down to his laps, wrapping his arms around her ass.

“Tob—”

Seraphina couldn’t finish his name before his lips crashed on hers with the fervency of a madman.

Seraphina’s heart stumbled against her ribs. Her chest constricted.

Tobias’s car caused holdup in that intersection. Cars coming from right and left all got stuck, unable to move since he blocked the middle.

Every driver began blowing their angry honks for the car to move.

The road became terribly loud with synchronized honks.

And all their full lights spilled on too, like twenty cars, shinning Tobias’s car alone on the noisy road.

But inside the car, Seraphina’s soft body is still trapped on his laps. She’s between him and the steering, his big arms wrapped around her ass.

And most importantly; His mouth is on hers, and his corrupt tongue is inside her mouth, kissing her soul.

TBC.
