“Why does your voice sound like that? I mean, your voice is always soothing, but now it sucks… Are you sad about something?” Maya asked.

“Actually… I have been patiently waiting for you to be done with this mission, but I can’t take it anymore… I love you, Maya.” Grayson whispered…

He imagined himself saying that, and he snapped out of it. Did he just imagine?

“Me sad? I’m fine.” Grayson replied, and Maya scoffed.

“But it doesn’t look like it.” Maya said, and he chuckled.

“Do you care that much about me?” he asked.

“Didn’t I say that you were my role model, so I have every right to care about you…” she muttered.

“I have to go now… I have a case to settle.” Grayson said.

“Alright.” She said, and the device went off immediately.

Immediately the device went off, she fell into her bed, her hair scattered all over the bed.

“Gosh… I’m gonna get bored again. I really miss my old self as a cop, I was surrounded with people I love, and now that I’m in the devil clan, everything is just so boring as f+ck.” she mumbled.

Speedy barged inside her room and met Crispy still reading a novel.

“Babe.” Crispy called, and Speedy looked at her.

“I thought you were going on a date, what’s wrong?” She asked, and Speedy groaned.

“Every fucking thing is wrong, I mean, we were about to go on a date, but that pussy or whatever she calls herself had to ruin everything.” Speedy seethed.

“What do you mean?” Crispy asked, and Speedy was about to reply when Max burst inside also.

“Babe… I…” Max trailed off.

“Crispy, can you tell him to leave me alone… That he should fuck off.” Speedy said, and Crispy faced Max.

“You heard her… She said you should f+ck off.” Crispy muttered.

“I’m sorry, babe… I agree that I was wrong, and I shouldn’t have caught her, but please just forgive me.” Max said with pleading eyes.

“Crispy, would you tell him that I am not in the mood to speak with him?” She asked.

“She’s not really in the mood to speak with you.” Crispy faced Max and said.

“Babe.” Max called. Speedy faced him.

“Don’t you dare call my name with that gutter mouth of yours… Since she satisfies you more than I do, then go and be with her and stop being a pain in the ass.” She yelled.

“What are you saying? I haven’t even done what you said I’ve done with her… We’re not a thing, we’re just friends.” Max said.

“Friends, wow… I clearly stated that you shouldn’t make friends with the girls in this clan… I’ve never seen you talk to boys before… It’s only girls.” Speedy said.

“We’re nothing, I promise.” Max said to her, and Speedy faced Max.

“Push this thing out from here… I don’t want to see him here.” Speedy said, and Crispy stood up.

“You can leave.” Crispy said.

“Stop acting like a f+cking dog and let me speak to my girlfriend.” Max yelled, and Crispy moved away.

He walked to Speedy and made to touch her.

“Touch me, and I’m going to clip every damn finger of yours.” Speedy sneered, and Max stepped back. He turned and started leaving, immediately, he was out, Speedy fell to the bed.

“Can’t he see that I love him, and that I want the best for us… Simple instructions, don’t make girls friends, but he wouldn’t listen, and now see… Our relationship is slowly going down… It’s losing its taste.” Speedy said, and Crispy walked to her.

“You don’t have to be aggressive on him… You’re really acting like someone who’s obsessed, I don’t see all this as jealousy.” Crispy said.

“Let me direct the question straight to you… Would you be happy if you see your boyfriend paying another lady attention than you?” Speedy asked.

“Of course, as long as he made time for both of us… No big deal.” Crispy said and walked back to her bed.

“Don’t allow your insecurity to ruin your relationship,think about this.” Crispy said, took her earpiece, and her novel.

She started reading while the music made her relaxed. Speedy just sat there lost in thought…

PUSSYCAT & MINNIE SUITE*

“So, you really are serious about what you told me the other day?” Minnie asked immediately they got to that suite.

“What? I quite don’t remember.” she said.

“That you’re going to steal Max from Pussycat.” she said, and P+ssycat shrugged.

“So, you thought I was joking.” P+ssycat asked.

“Of course…”

“Well, now you know that I’m not joking… I really am going to steal him away from her… That girl is so full of ego.” P+ssycat said.

“Are you doing this for her ego or what?” Minnie asked.

“Because I’m in love with Max, and I will do anything to have him… It’s quite annoying because she was the first person to ask him out.” P+ssycat admitted, her voice laced with frustration.

Minnie rolled her eyes, clearly not understanding P+ssycat’s motivations.

“So, how’s my plan going so far? Am I good at reaching my goal? I mean, I’m trying, and it’s working,” P+ssycat said, chuckling to herself.

“Aarghhh.” Minnie groaned in exasperation.

MEETING HALL*

Antonio walked into the hall, surveying the room to ensure everyone was present.

“Finally, the Don is here,” Jerry muttered.

“Don, we’ve been waiting for you,” Skylar said, and Antonio fixed his gaze on her.

“I have an important mission to share with you all,” Antonio announced, his voice commanding attention.

“At 9 PM tonight, there will be a party held at Draco Villa to inaugurate his new estate. To the outside world, it’s just a luxurious villa, but in the mafia world, it’s a significant hub where they keep the legendary Kohinoor diamond. As you know, we need that diamond to bring Don Draco down. He’s a powerful mafia boss, so you can already guess how challenging the task will be.”

Antonio pulled out an invitation card and placed it on the table.

“This is an invitation from Don Draco himself, which means two things,either he’s not suspicious of our moves, or he’s planning something. Either way, we’re going to find out. I’ll be attending the party as a guest, while the rest of you will go in disguise.”

“But aren’t guests supposed to come with their dates?” Skylar asked.

“Yes, that’s where Maya comes in. She’ll be my date,” Antonio replied.

“Why her?” Spider asked, raising an eyebrow.

“The mission is extremely risky and important, and I’ll need you all on high alert. Maya has the boldness we need, and we can’t afford to underestimate our competition. Other mafia members are also fighting to get their hands on the Kohinoor,” Antonio explained.

“I’m ready to break some bones,it’s been too long,” Rocco said, cracking his knuckles.

“Great, now get ready for the mission tonight,” Antonio instructed, and the team nodded in unison.

MAYA QUARTERS*

“What? Again? Another mission?” Maya asked, exasperated, as Vinegar delivered the news.

“Yeah,” Vinegar replied.

‘Who does that devil think he is? Taking me on a mission without my permission? Do I look like a toy to him?’ Maya thought to herself

“Do you know what happened last time we went on a mission? Jupiter died.”

“She died maybe because she was fated to.” Vinegar responded.

“I don’t want to go on any f+cking mission.” Maya whispered

“As long as you’re under the Devil Clan’s control, you’ll do everything he asks of you.” Vinegar spoke bluntly

‘Not like I wanted to be here, if not for my mission, I wouldn’t even be here.’ Maya rolled her eyes, thinking.

“So, what’s the mission about?”

“I’m not allowed to share the important details, but you’ll be the Devil’s date tonight.” Vinegar revealed.

“What? A date? Gawd, Maya.” Maya scoffed.

“Some gang members are dying to be the Devil’s date. You’re lucky, so you should be happy.” Vinegar added.

‘I’ll only laugh when I’ve destroyed the Devil, that’s when I’ll be truly happy… for my victory.” Maya thought to herself.

“And?”

“You really need to be careful, the mission is going to be bumpy.” Vinegar warned.

“Yeah, she really needs to be careful… She needs to be careful not to blow her cover like last time. Maya, you really have to work on that.” Maya thought.

8PM*

Antonio stood outside his car, looking dashing in his tuxedo. His usually rough hairstyle was gelled back, revealing his sharp jawline and muscular chest. His cold, demeaning aura seemed to fit perfectly with the suit. He wore earbuds and tapped on them, answering a call.

“Are you in position?” Antonio asked.

“Yes, Don. We’re all in place,” Max replied, disguised as a security guard.

“Good. Keep the others on standby. I’ll be there shortly,” Antonio said, disconnecting the call.

His goal was to steal the Kohinoor diamond. If he could get his hands on it, he would be unstoppable.

Just then, Maya emerged from the building, approaching Antonio with a slow, deliberate pace. He turned to face her, and their gazes met in a silent stare-down.

Maya’s presence ignited a spark within Antonio, and he couldn’t help but be drawn to her.

Her demi-killing body and the dress she wore made her almost irresistible. Antonio was normally in control, but Maya seemed to have a power over him that he couldn’t explain.

Antonio’s eyes traveled from her head to her toes, taking in her stunning features. He gulped, feeling an unfamiliar flutter in his chest.

This was new territory for him, he’d never reacted this way before. Why now? Why her?

Maya wore a breathtaking purple flower gown, adorned with black shining stones that accentuated her curves.

The dress hugged her body tightly, showcasing her spotless legs and curvy back. The long slit on her left thigh and backless design highlighted her flawless skin.

Her long, midnight hair was curled up, falling on her right shoulder, making her look like a s+ductress. Antonio’s gaze was fixed on her, his mouth agape.

Why was he so captivated? Every step she took made his heart skip a beat.

As she stopped beside him, Antonio’s instincts took over, and he grabbed her waist, whispering huskily in her ear, “Only I am allowed to stare at you this way. No other man is permitted to.” The possessiveness in his voice was unmistakable.
