Memories
Vincenzo sat in his office, his hands met under his jaw as he thought deeply of how things had drastically turned in a way he had least expected. Things were going perfectly fine with Freya under his custody, but then, all of a sudden she was gone without a trace.
He recalled all Myra had told him, specifying the fact that Kelly has a hand to every thing. He blamed himself for being blind and having a low understanding towards things that were meant to be understood without difficulty.
Now he was beginning to see reasons why Kelly had constantly wanted him to have another worker as his maid and not Freya. She had seen all these from afar and was doing all it took to avoid it from happening.
Even with his feelings, he had no idea about what he felt, what he needed. All he ever wanted was to have Olsen and take him down for good. To have his revenge and bring justice to the death of his only cousin, Dento.
He rubbed his face frustratedly, thinking and rethinking over his thoughts. He was a fool, a big one for letting Kelly rule him. He made her decisions his own decision, and followed every word she said, blinding him from realizing what lay ahead of him.
Now that he has, it was too late.
He doesn’t have Olsen, and he doesn’t have Freya as well. What a great loss to him.
He phoned Kelly but her number was reachable. “Kelly, where are you?” He growled, looking more pissed at the fact that she wasn’t picking his calls and likewise wasn’t returning it either.
He banged his fist on his desk, heaving heavily. “Damnit, Enzo. God damnit!” He cursed,
It was as if the atmosphere wasn’t conducive to him, he needed a break to think, a break to get his thoughts answered. And for the first time in years, he was feeling depressed down to earth. He stood up from his black leather chair, picking his jacket from where he had hung it, he left the house.
Enzo drove speedily out of the compound to the local clubhouse downtown. He wanted to go drunk and clear the thoughts off his head since that was the only way to get things done. While driving, he imagined her face in his mind, the tears she had wasted.
He imagined the night she had walked in his room wet, how marvelous her body was, especially her ass while she walked out of his room.
Those eyes were another thing he couldn’t stop thinking about. But… when he got to the part about the night she was adopted, seeing her being used by those strangers only made his anger grow.
Why is he thinking about all these? Why is he picturing the face of the woman he used to hate in his mind?
That was a question Enzo couldn’t give an answer to. He was left with numerous questions swimming in his brain, but there was no one to give an answer to them.
He got to the clubhouse, the raking music from the inside had played a good role to him. It made him remember the first night he met Kelly. It was in this same bar, he had come with his cousin and best friend.
After meeting Kelly, he found no reason to pay attention to the bar since Kelly had seized almost every part of his heart. She did so much to him, leaving him to wonder what type of woman she is.
He had believed she was the best thing that could ever happen to him in his days of living, but when Freya showed up, those beliefs shattered.
Is he in love again? He doesn’t know yet.
Why does he want Freya so badly? Because he still hasn’t gotten Olsen yet? Or because he doesn’t want to feel weak to a mere lady who has captured not only his mind, but his heart too. She has taken every thing Kelly owned in his life.
The bartender was surprised to see him, it really has been long since he last paid the bar a visit. The bartender knew his usuals, so he served it to him without Vincenzo mentioning it.
“Here it is, sir.”
Vincenzo drank so much that his brain was finding it difficult to interpret a word. He wanted this after all.
His eyes caught with a lady, while looking at her face, all he could see was Freya’s face. “Freya?” He called, but she gave him a weird look.
“I’m sorry, my name is not Freya.” She told him.
“Sorry, it’s just that… you remind me of her.”
“She must have meant a lot to you.”
He smirked. “She means the world to me.”
“Where is she?” Asked the lady
He looked at her, then scoffed. “I don’t know. I… I have no idea. I think she’s gone, far away from me.” He chuckled. “She left because of my stupidity. I thought… I thought I was making her life miserable, I was only doing her a favor. Now she’s gone, I’m all alone.”
“I feel your pain, Mr, but it’s not your fault.”
“It is. She isn’t my enemy, but I treated her like one.”
She was speechless. His words were so hurtful, guess he had done that to hurt her, but ended up hurting himself. “You should have told her…” He forces himself to stand on his feet. “You should have told her how much you love her.”
How is he supposed to know his heart will yarn this much for her? How is he supposed to know he would end up loving her?
It is said, “One doesn’t know how valuable a thing or a person is until he loses it.”
He took the lady with him into a room, where he poured out his pain and depression. A hot sex to keep the night warm, a satisfaction worth having.

On the other hand, Freya sat comfortably by her window, staring down at the busy street. Even late at night, London still has its street occupied with people which made Freya always find solace in it.
She was enjoying the sight of the street when her mind suddenly drifted to Vincenzo. She doesn’t remember thinking about him, she doesn’t remember bothering about him, but then… she is thinking about the one man who made her life a living hell.
She was thinking about her stay with him, recalling both the good and bad memories they shared. The good? Yeah, the part he smiled at her, those blue hazel eyes. Most of it all, the part that he had saved her from those strangers who almost made her life useless, or maybe, did made her life useless.
Myra was right about some thing. When she said Vincenzo had a hidden good side in him, she wasn’t lying. Only that he lets his anger and hatred overshadow him, blinding him from seeing things the natural way.
She misses the way he looks at her, how his gazes send cold shivers down her spine. Was she already missing him?
“Come on, Freya, that bastard made your life miserable. You shouldn’t be thinking about him right now, you should be happy you’re here, far away from him. Yes, you should be happy.”
But the question is… Is she?
