Maybe he just hasn’t realized it yet, he was beginning to miss her.

All these while it’s been Kelly? And she had made him believe it’s all Freya’s doing? She had painted her black just to get her out of his sight, and yes, it worked. Her plans have successfully worked out well.

But then, why is he angry? Why is he so bothered about her disappearance?

It’s not just because she had left without him having Olsen. It wasn’t because she had left just like that either. No, it was because she left with every thing that mattered to him. And if only she knew what she had caused all those while he had his eye on her.

If only she knew, then she wouldn’t have gone.

For the first time, he found himself unable to hold back his feelings for her. He had lived with it for a long time now. And it all started the night his father proclaimed she’d be his wife.

The way she looked at him, the tears in her eyes. They weren’t just tears, they were spells. When he watched the video of the stranger fucking her in that room, he was deeply hurt. It pained him that some one else, some one he didn’t know, was having her before him.

He has never been as bothered as that night that he even questioned himself what exactly was wrong with him. Why has he changed all of a sudden? And every day that passes by, his love for Kelly drops down.

He has fought to get that love back, but it never came. Instead, it keeps fading the more. It wasn’t his intention to send Freya back to the cell, he doesn’t want Kelly thinking he’s grown soft for her, and he doesn’t want his father to think he doesn’t know how to lead the group.

But truth be told, he only did it because he wanted to get over her. He wanted to use that as an opportunity to wash off every memory of her in his head. But when he realized he just can’t forget her, he came seeking for her.

But poor thing, she is gone. And there’s only one person in his mind. His father, or Kelly.

“What’s the matter, Enzo?” Asked Mr Polio as he walked in, meeting him distressed. “Why the sad look?”

“You know about her disappearance, don’t you?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Vincenzo raised his gaze at him. “Don’t try to act like you don’t know what I am talking about.”

“Of course, I don’t.”

“You’ve been after her since the night you came. You’ve always wanted to have her to yourself. To make her your wife.”

“But you took those chances away from me, remember? You claimed her as your personal maid, ordering her to respond to no one but you alone.”

“Yet, you wanted her.”

Mr Polio laughed. “Kelly was right, you’ve changed, and you’ve grown soft all of a sudden. What happened to you, Enzo? Did she cause this to you? How long have you been into her?”

Vincenzo frowned. “What the fuck are you talking about?”

“We both know what I am talking about. You’re becoming so bothered about her disappearance.”

“She is my hostage, my maid, so I have every right to be bothered about her.”

Mr Polio shook his head. “No. No, Enzo, you aren’t getting my point. You aren’t bothered about her because you don’t have Olsen yet, you are bothered because you won’t be able to see her.”

Vincenzo wondered if it was too obvious on his face.

“You love her, don’t you?”

“If you’re gonna talk nonsense to my face, then you better get the fuck out of my room.”

“Trying to play mean even when hurt. I understand. I really do understand your pain. But you know, it’s not too late to search for her. Maybe, some how, you’ll find her. Only that you should pray she isn’t some where outside the state.” He laughed hard, walking out of the room.

Freya stood in the middle of her new apartment in London, her heart swelling with a sense of joy and relief. After months of fear and uncertainty, she had finally found a safe haven, thanks to her brother Olsen’s relentless efforts to see her through.

Her surroundings gave off a warmth that she hadn’t felt in a long time, and she couldn’t help but marvel at the transformation her life had undergone in just a few days.

As she gazed around the cozy living room, adorned with soft furnishings and warm hues, Freya felt a sense of belonging wash over her. This space was hers, a home where she could finally escape the clutches of the Ferdinandos and definitely from Kelly, the dark cloud that had loomed over her existence for far too long.

Every corner of the apartment seemed to whisper words of comfort and security, assuring her that she was now out of harm’s way.

Taking out her phone, Freya dialed Olsen’s number, her fingers trembling with excitement. As he picked up, she couldn’t contain her happiness and blurted out, “Olsen, I’m here! I’ve reached the new apartment you rented for me!” Her voice echoed with a mix of relief and delight, the culmination of a plan that Olsen had meticulously crafted to ensure her safety.

She conveyed her immense gratitude to Olsen, her voice filled with genuine warmth. “You have no idea how grateful I am for every thing you’ve done, Olsen. You’ve worked tirelessly to protect me from the Ferdinandos, and I can finally breathe again. Living in London feels like a fresh start, a place where no one will ever hurt me again.”

“That’s exactly what I want to hear.” Olsen said, delighted. “How are you doing now?”

“I’m doing good. Wasn’t expecting every thing set already. I was expecting to meet an empty house for a new start but here I am…” She she exhaled, “Staring at my new start.” She giggled.

“To show you how tirelessly I have been working for your safety.”

“I’ll never forget this, I promise.”

Freya’s words carried a deep sense of appreciation for her brother’s unwavering support. She reminded him of his promise to join her in London, a pledge he had made as soon as he dealt with the Ferdinandos once and for all.

“I can’t wait for you to be here with me, Olsen,” she exclaimed, a hint of longing in her voice. “Once you’ve handled the Ferdinandos, we can truly start over, leaving behind the shadows of our past.”

As she continued to speak with Olsen, Freya couldn’t help but imagine the future that lay before them. She envisioned a life free from fear, where they could rebuild their shattered lives in a city that symbolizes hope and new beginnings. The thought of Olsen’s arrival in London infused her with anticipation, knowing that they would conquer their shared demons together.

In her new apartment, surrounded by walls that whispered promises of safety, Freya embraced the feeling of being at home. After so many months of torture and humiliations, she could finally feel what it is to be at home.
