Alisson looked at the paper in his hand, then at Mr. Kings, who was silently studying the document with a slight frown on his forehead. He tapped the table.

“This is a long-term contract,” Alisson said. “Mr. Kings, are you sure about this? Are you really going to go ahead with it?”

Mr. Kings glanced up, his eyes unreadable. After a moment, he replied, “Yeah. I think I need this. Working with people like Anthony and Mr. Giselle could be good for the company.”

Alisson nodded. “Mr. Giselle is solid. Reliable. And Anthony—well, he’s not bad either. I think this could be the right move.”

Mr. Kings leaned back in his chair. “I’m ready for it. I don’t need anyone to hold my hand.”

Alisson smirked. “There’s never a day you admit anyone’s better than you.”

Mr. Kings shrugged. “I always aim to be on top. That’s my role.”

Alisson chuckled. “So… are you going to the party for Mr. Thompson’s daughter?”

Mr. Kings adjusted his glasses. “Yeah… I think I will.”

Just then, he glanced across the restaurant and paused. His jaw tightened.

Alisson followed his gaze. “Isn’t that… Anna?”

Mr. Kings’ eyes narrowed when he saw her — sitting across from a man, smiling. The man was talking and eating, clearly enjoying her company.

His grip on the document tightened. A flash of jealousy surged through him, his entire posture shifting. Alisson noticed it immediately.

“You okay?” he asked, raising a brow.

Mr. Kings cleared his throat and looked away. “I’m fine.”

Alisson looked back at the table. “Funny… I thought Anna said she wasn’t feeling well.”

“She did,” Mr. Kings replied, voice low. “She told me she was sick. And now she’s out having lunch with some guy?”

His voice held a mix of disbelief, jealousy, and something else Alisson couldn’t quite place. He watched Mr. Kings carefully.

********

Mr. Kings’s jaw tightened, a flicker of something unreadable passing through his eyes. The rain tapped harder against the umbrella above them, a steady rhythm filling the silence between them

“You’re right,” he said, voice low, almost calm. “I don’t have the right.”

Ana blinked, caught off guard by the sudden shift in his tone.

“But that doesn’t mean I’m going to stand here and watch you walk away, soaking wet, after lying to me—again.”

She opened her mouth to argue, but he took another step forward, closing the distance between them. He held the umbrella over her now, shielding her from the rain. The gesture was soft… but his eyes weren’t.

“You think you can just run away from me ”

Her breath hitched. “ I’m not”

His gaze dropped to her lips, then slowly back to her eyes. “You are, tell why you are trying so hard to run away from me?”

Ana looked away. She didn’t have an answer. Her heart was beating too fast, and her chest ached with something she didn’t want to name.

He leaned in just slightly, voice barely above a whisper. “You’re not the only one who’s confused,. But running isn’t a great idea don’t you think?”

Her lips parted, but nothing came out.

“Now… get in the car.”

This time, there was no edge in his voice — just quiet insistence.

And for once, Ana didn’t argue.

She walked toward the car.

Mr. King opened the car door, holding the umbrella steady as Ana quietly stepped inside. She said nothing, her eyes downcast as she slipped into the leather seat. The moment she settled in, he closed the door and walked around to the other side, sliding in next to her.

Without a word, he glanced at the front. “Anton, turn the car around,” he said calmly, his voice low but firm.

As the driver obeyed, Mr. King’s eyes moved back to Ana — and what he saw made his jaw tighten.

She was shivering. The rain had soaked through her red dress, making the fabric cling to her skin, outlining every curve. He could see how her chest rose and fell rapidly, her nipples pressed tight against the thin material. A low groan escaped his throat — barely audible.

Without a word, he shrugged off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. She stiffened slightly at the unexpected warmth.

“You’re shivering,” he said, his tone quieter now, almost concerned.

“I’m fine,” Ana replied quickly, her voice a bit shaky. “You don’t have to give me your jacket.”

She moved to take it off, but his hand stopped her gently. His face inched closer, his expression unreadable.

“I don’t want it back,” he murmured. “Keep it on. And don’t test me, Ana… I don’t like it when you push me.”

There was something in his voice — cold, intense — that made her pause. She swallowed hard and nodded, pulling the jacket tighter around her.

A long silence followed, the hum of the engine the only sound between them. Then, unexpectedly, Mr. King reached for her hand, his fingers brushing against hers before wrapping around them.

” Feeling warm now” He asked his voice lower, Ana nodded , her eyes down, she couldn’t look at him, and why was he being nice, and sweet to her? She wondered her heart beating faster.

Mr. Kings didn’t say another word as the car moved through the quiet city streets. His eyes were focused ahead, but his thoughts were all about Ana—wet dress clinging to her curves, her softn’t scent filling the car.

Ana sat still, wrapped in his jacket. Her heart was racing. The silence between them was thick, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was heavy with tension… the kind that made her feel hot all over.

The car turned into a long private driveway, tall gates opening slowly as they approached. Her eyes widened.

” Why are we going to your house?” she asked, her voice soft.

“Did, you want us to go to your house instead “he asked with a small smirk.

Ana’s breath caught.

The car stopped in front of the grand entrance. Mr. Kings got out, walked around, and opened her door like a gentleman. She stepped out, and he didn’t let go of her hand.

Inside, the house was warm and luxurious. Lights dimmed low, music played softly from somewhere. He helped her take off her wet heels and led her to the living room.

“Sit,” he said gently, his voice low.

She sat down on the velvet couch. He knelt in front of her, slowly removing the wet jacket from her shoulders. His eyes stayed locked on hers.

” You’re cold ” he said,His eyes dropped to her chest, lingering on how her hard nipples pressed against the soaked red fabric. The rain had turned her dress into a second skin, and it was driving him insane.

“fuck this” he murmured under his breath, voice thick with desire.

Ana swallowed hard, her breath catching as she looked at him. There was heat in his eyes, a storm he wasn’t trying to hide anymore.

“Why are you being nice?” she asked, her voice low and shaky.

Mr. King didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he stood up, and extended his hand.

She looked at it but didn’t take it. “I asked you a question. Why are you being nice?”

He sighed, sliding his other hand into his pocket. “I’m just being helpful. That dress is wet , you need to change.”

Ana hesitated. “Are you just trying to sleep with me?”

His gaze darkened, intense and unreadable. He didn’t speak right away. Instead, he reached for her, pulling her closer with her body pressed against his chest, her hard n****s pressed hard against his firm chest..

She gasped, a soft whimper escaping her lips.

“What are you doing?” she whispered.

“Why are you pushing me away?” His voice was low and husky.

Ana looked away, nervous, but he gently touched her chin, turning her back to face him. His eyes were soft now, filled with desire , but also something deeper.

“I’m not running away,” she whispered.

“Then stop acting like you are,” he said, tracing his fingers along her jawline.

Ana swallowed again, feeling her heart pound.

“You need to change,” he added softly.

Then, without warning, he lifted her into his arms ,catching her completely off guard and walked toward his bedroom.

“Put me down,” Ana demanded as he walked upstairs carrying her.

“You love to talk too much, Ms. Evans,” Mr. Kings said in a deep voice as he switched from carrying her bride-style to hoisting her onto his shoulders. One hand held her under the ass; the other was free.

Ana froze at how he was holding her. What was with him? Why was he doing all this to her? And gosh, why was her body betraying her like that?

“I said, put me down y—” she trailed off as a spank landed on her ass.

“Ahh… what the f+k!” she hissed as he opened the door to his room.

Mr. Kings smirked, feeling her heavy breath on his ear. F+k.

This wasn’t right, but damn it, f+k all the rules he’d made and all the promises. All he wanted was her — and the rest would follow.

“There, you go. Be a good girl, baby doll. You’re going to go in that bathroom and take a shower or a warm bath for me. Do we understand each other?” Mr. Kings said as he put her down on her feet.

Ana’s eyes roamed the room. She had been to his house before, but never his bedroom — her boss’s bedroom.

The room was spacious and luxurious, styled with clean lines and dark, masculine tones. A large king-size bed stood in the center, covered with black and charcoal silk sheets, with a tall leather headboard stretching against the back wall. To the right, glass doors opened to a private balcony overlooking the city skyline. Rain tapped softly against the glass, and distant lights shimmered in the night.

To the left of the bed sat a dark velvet sofa near a wall-mounted TV, positioned to face both the bed and the balcony. The polished wooden floor felt warm underfoot, and a soft rug lay beneath the bed. Across from the sofa, a door led to the en-suite bathroom—marble finishes, a rainfall shower, and a large soaking tub near a frosted window. The room smelled of fresh linen, leather, and a faint hint of his cologne.

Ana swallowed hard, suddenly feeling small in the spacious room.

She looked up at Mr. Kings, whose intense gaze was fixed on her, as if trying to read her thoughts.

She bit her lip and looked down.

“You don’t look happy to be in my bedroom,” Mr. Kings said.

Ana cleared her throat and looked back at him, her earlier stubbornness returning.

“Should I be?” she asked, one brow raised.

Mr. Kings smirked, his hand lifting the strap of her dress.

Ana’s eyes widened as the strap slid down, nearing the top of her breasts—until she quickly grabbed his hand to stop him.

“Umm… Mr. Kings,” she stammered, her cheeks flushing.

He smirked at her reaction. “Go take a bath before you catch a cold,” he whispered near her ear, licking her lobe before pulling back and leaving the room.

Ana clutched her chest, exhaling in relief.

“God, what am I doing?” she whispered to herself.

After ten minutes, Ana walked out of the shower, a towel wrapped around her body. She walked slowly, more like sneaking into the room. She let out a relieved breath when she saw that Mr. Kings wasn’t in the bedroom.

Her eyes landed on the red nightdress on the bed. She walked over and lifted it; it was a bit longer than the one she had worn earlier. Then her eyes fell on the black thong beside it, and heat rushed through her body.

Did he buy me underwear? And when…

Her cheeks flushed.

“It’s my size,” she whispered to herself. “But how did he know?”

He took off the other one not long ago, hmm… her mind teased.

“But that doesn’t mean he knows my size,” Ana muttered with a frown.

I’m sure you know what size his c+k is, her mind mocked again.

“Ugh, whatever.”

She was just about to put on the dress when the door opened.

Ana froze, clutching the towel tighter around her chest. Mr. Kings stood at the doorway, one hand in his pocket, his eyes dark and steady on her. A small smirk curved his lips.

“You’re still not dressed?” he asked, his voice low and rough.

Ana’s heart skipped. “You could at least knock,” she snapped, trying to sound bold though her voice came out softer than she wanted.

He stepped inside, closing the door behind him with a soft click. “Why?” he asked calmly, taking a few slow steps toward her. “It’s my room… and you’re in it.”

She swallowed, backing away until the edge of the bed touched the back of her knees. “Still, you can’t just—”

His gaze dropped to the red nightdress in her hand. “Put it on,” he said simply.

Ana blinked. “Excuse me?”

“Put it on,” he repeated, voice deep and steady, “unless you’d rather I do it for you.”

Her lips parted, but no words came out.. She could feel his stare burning into her skin, even through the towel.

“I… I can do it myself,” she finally managed, turning away from him.

He chuckled softly behind her, the sound low and dangerous. “I know you can, Ana. I just like watching you try.”

Her hands trembled slightly as she reached for the nightdress.

She put on the nightdress and took a deep breath before turning around to face him.

“Done. Are you satisfied now?” she asked, her voice filled with stubbornness.

Mr. Kings smirked and placed his hand under her chin, tilting it up to make her look at him.

“You forgot something,” he said, a mischievous curve lifting the corner of his lips.

“There.” He nodded toward the black thong still lying on the bed, then reached for it.

“W–wait…” Ana stammered, her face flushing with both shock and embarrassment.

“I can definitely help you put this on,” he said as he knelt down in front of her.

Ana’s breath caught in her throat as she watched him slip the thong up her legs, his fingers brushing along her thighs before adjusting the fabric in place.

“Mmm… huh—” a sound escaped her lips before she could stop it.

She quickly covered her mouth with her hand and stepped away from him, her heart racing. *God, this is crazy…*

“You need to eat something,” Mr. Kings said, sliding his hands into his pockets, his gaze fixed on her.

Ana swallowed and gave a small nod, still confused by everything. *Why am I here?* she asked herself. *He’s my boss… right.

She followed him, expecting to head to the dining room—but instead, he led her to his study.

“Sit there,” Mr. Kings said, pointing to the chair behind his desk.

Ana obeyed, still dazed, and sat down. Moments later, he placed a mug of hot chocolate in front of her.

“Why are you doing all of this?” Ana asked quietly.

“Doing what?” he replied, calmly.

She sighed. “You’re my boss. I’m not supposed to be here with you… and all of this ,getting close,,it’s really…”

“It’s what?” Mr. Kings asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ana looked down, then back up at him. “Confusing.”

“Is it?” he asked, leaning forward and placing his hands on the desk. “It doesn’t look that way to me.”

Ana swallowed and closed her eyes for a brief second before meeting his gaze again.
They stared at each other in silence, the air between them pulsing with heat, tension thick like smoke. Only their breaths filled the room—slow, shallow, charged.

Then his voice cut through the silence, low and sinful.

“Can I have a taste?”

Her lips parted slightly, her breath hitched.

“A… taste?” she echoed, her voice barely above a whisper.

Mr. Kings didn’t move, didn’t blink. His eyes dragged over her slowly ,her lips, her flushed cheeks, her barely-covered curves.

He leaned in just a bit more, his smirk devilish.

“You heard me,” he murmured, voice like silk laced with danger.

Ana gripped the edge of the desk, unsure if it was to ground herself,,or to keep from leaning into him.

“What exactly do you want to taste?” she asked, trying to sound brave, though her voice betrayed her.

His eyes darkened even further, a slow, wicked smile tugging at his lips.

“Guess.”
