You all know everything in life has consequences… Whether good or bad, in my case there was a lot of consequences but I didn’t bother to care.. I just kept moving on with the flow.

Ever since that day in the forest Christen and I had became so close and in love.. not a day goes by in school that we don’t get to be together, At first she didn’t want people to know we were together but that didn’t last last long..

Everyone in school knew about our relationship.. Every guy began seeing me as a champion because I was the only guy to get through Christen, I had gotten more respect and admiration from everyone but little did they know.. I had went through hell to get to this point..

Those that were more surprised about our relationship was Khalid, Tina and my brother Lionel.. He couldn’t believe that I his crazy brother could get together with a goddess like Christen..

Lionel ➡ Riley, how you take toast this babe?

Riley ➡ I really don’t know.. I just introduced myself that’s all.

Not only Lionel was curious to know about how I got to Christen, my friends Tina and Khalid too were hellbent on knowing, so I told them what I told Lionel.

Riley ➡ You two must be out of your minds.. I don’t have time of this shit..

These friends of mine are a weird bunch, They thought I used charm on Christen, besides who in his right made would use charm against a witch? Just imagine.. That’s like throwing a stone from the earth to the moon, because it will never work, impossible.

Later that day, I went home as soon as Lectures was over… As soon as I got home.. My mom had already made lunch.. It was a perfect timing cause I was very hungry..

As we were eating, We began to talk about some issues…

Sara ➡ Have you boys heard the news going around?

Lionel ➡No.. What is it?

Sara ➡ Shrunken and mutilated bodies are been found in local areas, especially the ones with forestries.. This is getting out of hand.. And not to mention the massive vibrations hitting the ground..

Riley ➡ Maybe the bodies are being mutilated by serial killers… Who knows..

Sara ➡ Teeth marks are being found on them as if they’re being eaten..

Lionel ➡ Mama! Stop this talk abeg… I’m eating.. Besides there’s no cannibals in Ibadan.. Maybe they’re being eaten by wild beasts..

Sara ➡ Anyway.. May God bless their poor souls.. This world is filled with horrors..

Riley ➡ Absolutely.. But there’s still some good parts of it..

Sara ➡ Why are you smiling?

Riley ➡ Nothing I’m just in a good mood..

Lionel ➡ Good mood ko? Tell her already..

Lionel ➡ He’s gotten a new girlfriend.

Sara ➡ Well, I hope she’s an improvement over Rukky because I’ve never liked all the girls you’ve dated.. They all dress like prostitutes.. Girls nowadays don’t have self-respect.

After the lunch, I went about my usual business.. I did my assignments.. Went out to the library and played some football. All those times as I was doing those things I kept wondering what Christen was doing.. I wonder what do witches do to relax themselves…

Later in the evening after I had returned home.. I was in my bed, staring at the ceiling when I saw the necklace glow….

I quickly covered it so my brother wouldn’t see it… Christen was definitely here.. So I went out of bed and went out to meet her.. As i was about to leave, My mom asked where I was going.

Sara ➡ Riley!

Riley ➡ Yes ma!?

Sara ➡ Where are you going?

Riley ➡ I’m just going out to get some air..

Sara ➡ No, no… Not tonight.. I sense evil spirits in the air tonight and remember what I told you about people being eaten? No.. You can’t go out..

Riley ➡ But mama….

Sara ➡ No.. Go back to your room, instead of wasting your time outside.. You should be praying by now..

I couldn’t believe this.. Of all the times to be staying at home.. God why did this happen? I went back to my room, annoyed.. Christen is definitely out there.. Probably waiting for me and now I have to stay here.. Because of some news.. I can’t have this.. I went upstairs back to my room.

I laid down on my bed figuring a way to sneak out of the house.. Just then, the window opened and Lionel entered the room, from the smell coming from him.. He must have smoked or taken something else..

This wasn’t the first time Lionel did this.. He always uses the window to sneak out of the house, when he’s been restricted..

Lionel staggered in and fell on the bed,… In that instant.. An idea popped into my head..

I went to the window to see the distance from our room to the ground.. It wasn’t that far but one has to be careful cause one small miscalculation, and you could end up with a broken leg.

I went out the window and took my time before jumping.. As soon as I hit the ground, I remained still to make sure I wasn’t heard… After that.. I ran to the forest to where Christen was.. Everywhere was dark and silent, and it was starting to scare me for the first time.

The necklace was still glowing while in my pocket, Christen was still there.. Within minutes, I had arrived to the place.. I bent down to catch my breath.. I looked around to see if I could find her.. But she wasn’t there.. Suddenly, a tree branch coiled around my legs, it turned me upside down dragging me straight up,.

Seconds later, I was high above the ground.. I prayed silently to make sure the branch won’t let go because if I fall… I’m definitely going to die.. As the branch turned me around, I saw Christen with a book, she signaled the branch with her hand and made it drop me next to her.. So all this time she was up here? Women no matter what they look like… They always have problem.

Riley ➡ Christen..

Christen ➡ Why are you late? I’ve been waiting here for 30 mins..

.

Riley ➡ Sorry, i had to deal with some issues..

.

Christen ➡ You disobeyed your mom’s order and came all the way here!

Riley ➡ (shocked) How did you…

Christen ➡ Never mind.. You won’t understand.

Riley ➡ Anyways how’s your day in school?

Christen ➡ As usual.. Annoying.

Riley ➡ Well that’s how campus life is.. But you’ll soon get used to it.. I’ve missed you..

Christen ➡ Me too.. Spending time with you is the only thing that gives me joy in that damned place.

Riley ➡ Come on.. You need to hang out with the rest.. They’re not all that bad.. Trust me.

Christen ➡ No way.. You know I don’t like crowds.. I prefer being in two company, it’s more better that way… Three is a crowd you know!

Riley ➡ Okay if that’s what you want… Can I ask you something? Apart from you are there any witches out here living with us..

Christen ➡ Of course.. We witches are everywhere.. Schools, hospitals, government sectors.. Everywhere.. We even have a meeting point in every state.. No.. All over the world.. Witches are everywhere..

Christen kept quiet for a while.. Battling in her mind whether to teach me or not.. Finally she turned around and looked at me straight in the eye..

Christen ➡ Okay.. I will show you.. I’ll connect the necklace with you.. So anytime you’re not around.. I can find you even if you’re in space.

Riley ➡ Okay..

I did as Christen said.. She brought out a strange looking pin from her hair, She pricked her right hand and then mine.. The pin didn’t hurt at all.. What happened next surprised me.. Blood gushed out from both our hands and formed like a devil’s triangle on our palms.. Christen took the necklace and place it between our palms and then she joined our right hands together… A white Light glowed brighter in between our palms.. I WS getting scared wondering what was going to happen next but I held on..

Finally the light disappeared and Christen unlocked our hands.. She gave me back the necklace and said nothing.

Riley ➡ So??

Christen ➡ It’s done.. You’re now a part of the necklace.. As I am.. We can find each other easily without any wahala.

And here’s a little instruction to show you how to teleport to where I am.. First of all.. You must spill your blood on the necklace and then call my name and say this words..

Hearing Christen saying instant dead made me drop the necklace… So all this time I was close to death without knowing it.. What if I had worn this earlier.. That’s means I would have been dead a long time ago..

Christen ➡ I didn’t, my mom did.. She created the necklace.. The necklace was created to eat those who lie.. Anyone that wears this necklace and lies even if its for a good cause.. gets eaten..

Riley ➡ (scared) By what?

Christen ➡ I don’t know.. But my sister Rose has told me that the necklace contains a very evil and scary creature, she claims it’s so frightening that Even witches are afraid of it..

Riley ➡ Mokpe!!! Hold it.. I don’t want it anymore… Besides it’s yours..

Christen elevated the branch we both sat on into the sky and flew us home.. I held her tightly of course.. I was hundreds of miles above the ground.. But what I enjoyed was watching the view from the sky.. It was lovely.

Minutes later we arrived at my house, I snuck into the window and then into my room.

Christen popped her head in looking inside my room..
