As soon as I mom told me that, Lionel was dying, I felt my body weakened, I couldn’t feel my legs at that time.. I stood silenlty for a while before I could say anything to my mother.

Riley ➡ Where are you now? Which hospital are you at?

Sara ➡ We’re at hospital.. Come quick.

.

After that, I rushed to the main road as fast as I can, as I got there, I boarded a taxi and asked him to take me to the hospital..

The taxi driver was driving slowly, I asked him to go faster but he insisted on going slow because it was night and might get involved in an accident…

Just as we were driving, We saw a bright light sparking brightly into the night after that a powerful gush of wind 💨 blew into the streets making the surroundings to be dusty, after that, we felt the ground shake a little as if a bomb had exploded… I wasn’t sure what was that, but it was sure frightening, I saw shaken by that but the taxi driver took it a little bit more seriously…. He pressed the pedal and fired the car engine making it roar into the night, after that, he drove fast 🏎 as if he was being chased by thieves.

Driver ➡ Kai.. I no fit take chances… This one as the ground shake so.. I no fit.. Better safe than sorry.

Within Minutes, I had arrived at my destination.. I paid him off and went into the hospital.. As I entered the hospital, I saw my mom sitting at the reception… She saw me and quickly came to where I was holding my hands…

Sara ➡ Oh Riley.. I don’t know what to do.. Please.. God.. Don’t take my son away from me.

Riley ➡ It’s okay.. Everything is going to be fine.. What happened to Lionel?

Sara ➡ I asked him to come down to have dinner, half way on the stairs, he collapsed.. I thought it was a normal fall but I later saw him shaking on the ground.. Blood was coming out of his mouth.. Please don’t let your brother die..

Riley ➡ Don’t worry Mom, God will save him.. Let’s just pray.. While the doctors do their work.

We spent the night there, While I prayed silently in my mind, My mom was busy moving around the reception room.. Her mind wasn’t at rest, and I couldn’t blame her..

The next morning, as My mom and I were sleeping on the chairs.. We were awoken by the nurse.. She told us that the doctor wanted to see us in his office. We didn’t waste any time as we hurried to his office.. As we arrived at his office, I noticed the doctor’s face was gloomy and I knew something was wrong.

As the doctor urged us to sit down, He took his time before he told us the bad news.

Doctor ➡ Good morning Madam..

Sara ➡ Good morning… Doctor,.. Is my son okay? Please tell me he’s okay..

.

Doctor ➡ Madam.. Calm down.. Let your mind be at rest..

.

Sara ➡ Doctor, my mind won’t rest until I’ve heard my son is okay?…

Riley ➡ Mom, please calm down.. Doctor, is everything okay?

.

Doctor ➡ Well…. Honestly this is not the first time I’ve seen something like this.. We’ve sedated your brother and he’s now asleep, we’ve conducted some tests to see if anything is wrong but we found nothing..

Riley ➡ What? You mean to say, he’s healthy and not sick?

Doctor ➡ We’ve received several cases like this.. People feeling hurt and sick but their condition is perfectly okay.. To be honest.. I don’t know what to make of this.. We’ve tried giving them medicine but in the end.. They either die or commit suicide.

Sara ➡(alarmed) JESUS!!!

Riley ➡ (surprised) Are you saying that’s my brother’s fate as well..

Doctor ➡ I don’t know.. But we’ve tried our best.. This is beyond us.. All I can say is your brother needs spiritual help.. Because this is something new no one has ever seen. I’m sorry to say but you have to take your brother elsewhere.. You can forget about the payment.

After that, my mom and I didn’t know what to say.. We had no choice but to take Lionel home… I couldn’t get what the doctor said off my mind about Lionel needing spiritual help.. I really don’t believe in those nonsense about visiting a herbalist and all but the doctor may be right.. But I doubt if my mother would try to seek that kind of help.. After all she’s a hardcore christian and she’s always hated those kind of things that is outside Christianity.

Lionel was still asleep when we got home.. As my mom and I sat in our room, I decided to see if I could talk her into agreeing to seek spiritual help because it was a matter of life and death.

Riley ➡ Mom.. I think the doctor may be right about the spiritual thing. Maybe we should….

Sara ➡ God forbid.. Riley what has come over you? So you’d want us to take your brother to a idol worshipper..

Riley ➡ Mom, there’s nothing wrong in seeking health and medicine even if its from them.. After all it’s not like we’re going to convert to idol worshippers..

Sara ➡ No.. I won’t do that.. I’d rather go to church and pray than to involve myself with people like that… Let me call Pastor Emmanuel.

Hearing the name Pastor Emmanuel made my blood boil.. Instead of wasting time calling some scam who claims he’s a prophet, we should be looking for ways to help Lionel.. Talking my mom out of this would be a waste of time so I allowed her to do as she pleased.

The next day, The fool showed up with a Bible and an anointing oil.. and with him was his annoying daughter Deborah.

They walked in looking around the place as if something terrible had happened to it. While Emmanuel and my mom went upstairs to our room, Deborah and I stayed in the living room.

Deborah ➡ Hi.. I heard the news about your brother.. May God save his health.

Riley ➡ Thanks..

Deborah ➡ It’s a good thing you called my dad.. I’m sure he can do something about your brother.

Riley ➡ Yeah.. Yeah..

Deborah stood up and came to where I was sitting next to me.. I was surprised but I didn’t pay her any attention, just then she brought her hand next to mine trying to hold it, I immediately moved away from her.

Riley ➡ 😡 What are you doing?

Deborah ➡ I’m trying to comfort you..

.

Riley ➡ I don’t need you comforting me.. I’m fine..

.

Deborah ➡ But if Christen was here, you wouldn’t mind, right?

Riley ➡ Listen to me.. Little girl.. I’m not your mate and stop nosing in my affairs with Christen, or I’ll make sure you regret ever meeting me.. Understand?

After that, I went upstairs to our bedroom to where my mom and Emmanuel was.. As I arrived they were busy raising their voices as they showered prayers on Lionel who was busy sleeping..

I believe in Prayer but my own view of prayer is different from what other people know.. I believe when someone prays for something he shouldn’t just sit and expect for that something to come and meet him.. He should go out there and look for it.. It’s just like praying all night to pass an examination without studying for it because it will never work out..

After some minutes later, The prayers were concluded and Pastor Emmanuel told my mom that Lionel would be fine, that she should rub his head, hands and feet with the anointing oil to prevent evil spirits trying to possess his body.. My mom who believed in his scam happily nodded with a smile..

Before He and his daughter could leave, my mom made them stay for lunch.. I just couldn’t bear the sight of this man and his daughter.. So after mom was done serving lunch, I picked my own plate 🍽 and went upstairs.

Sara ➡ Riley, where are you going?

Emmanuel ➡ Stay and have lunch with us. Eating together is better than eating alone.

Riley ➡ No thanks.. I’ll be going up to my room now.. To check up on Lionel.

I left them and went my way.. To me Staying alone is much more better than eating with them. Before you know it, that goat will the saying this is not the proper way to eat food.

As soon as I got upstairs, I heard a knock downstairs.. My mom called on me to check the door.. I kept my food in the room and hurried down to see who it was.. To my surprise it was Christen…

I was so glad to see her, going through this tough time, I hadn’t thought of her even for once.. Looks like she’s missed me and obviously come to check me out.

Christen ➡ Hi babe.. What’s wrong?

Riley ➡ My brother is dying, Christen..

Christen ➡ Oh no… What’s wrong with him.

Sara ➡ Riley, who’s that?

Riley ➡ Come in Christen.

As Christen entered the house, all eyes turned on her, My mom’s mouth was agape, Emmanuel was busy measuring Christen with his eyes and Deborah was seething with jealousy. Christen smiled and waved at them.

Christen ➡ 😊 Afternoon everyone..

Sara ➡ Riley, who’s this?

Riley ➡ Mom.. This is my girlfriend.. Christen..

Christen ➡ Nice to meet you ma! Riley has told me so much about you..

Sara ➡ Nice to meet you as well… Why are you here?

Riley ➡ Uh. She..

Christen ➡ I heard about Lionel’s illness so I came to check up on him.. Sorry if I came at the wrong time.

I dragged Christen upstairs to my room away from all these hypocrites.. As we got into my room, Christen gasped and startled.. I turned to see what made her react all of a sudden but I found nothing.

Riley ➡ I don’t know.. The doctors say he’s fine but they can’t detect anything..

Christen went over to Riley and touched his head, I could see her hands glowing, she then closed her eyes and was silent for a while,.. Just then she jumped away from Lionel with a terrified look on her face.. She came at Lionel slowly and raised his hand where he had out his Rolex.

Christen ➡ This is bad..

Riley ➡ What’s bad?

Christen ➡ Your brother, he’s in a terrible situation.. His life…. No his essence is being s—-d away slowly.. And it’s all because of this thing..

Riley ➡ What thing? This is just his watch..

Christen ➡ Oh d–n… I forgot You’re a human..take the necklace and hold it in your hands.

I did as she told me.. At first I couldn’t see anything but as I turned to Lionel’s direction.. I saw his body covered in black veins, I let go of the necklace and saw nothing.. As I grabbed hold of the necklace again.. I saw the horrible sight.. Lionel’s veins had turned black and were moving as if they were alive.. As I looked down to his hand.. Instead of the Rolex, I saw something hideous strapping around his wrist.. It was like a centipede but it was bigger and longer than a centipede.. It was stuck tightly to Lionel’s skin as if it was trying to merge with him.. Whatever that thing is.. It was killing and eating Lionel from the inside out.

Riley ➡ What’s this abomination?

Christen ➡ Its called *Death worm *🐛.. But it’s a tool we witches use to drain or absorb anything that has life.. Like what’s happening to your brother.. But there’s only one witch I know who uses this kind of thing.. It’s my sister Rose… Tell me.. Did you know anything about your brother’s relationship with the women he dates..

Riley ➡ No but there’s one, he kept pinning about.. Her name is Roselyn..

Christen ➡ Is she the one?

Christen touched my head and I saw images of a lady.. She was obviously Christen’s sister because there is a strong resemblance only this one was older than Christen.. And what followed next wasn’t pleasant.. I saw how the lady tortured and killed people to amuse herself.. What I saw was horrific.. Sensing I was getting scared Christen removed her hand from my head..

Riley ➡ Jesus.. Is that..

Christen ➡ Yes.. That’s my sister Rose.. The meanest, heartless and terrible witch ever.. She’s the one I’ve been telling you about.. If she ever finds out about us… Not only would she make you feel pain and suffer, she’ll destroy everything you’ve ever loved..

Riley ➡ Why is she like that?

Christen ➡ I don’t want to talk about it.. Now what we’ve got to do is remove this thing from your brother’s wrist.

Riley ➡ So? What are you waiting for? It’s suppose to be easy for you.

Christen ➡ Look silly.. This here is not a matter to be taken lightly.. If I snag this out of your brother’s wrist. He’ll die.. We have to be careful.. Plus we need a lot of time.

Riley ➡ Like how many minutes..

Christen ➡ Minutes? I’m talking about hours..

Riley ➡ But we don’t have the chance to stay that long.. My mom will notice.

Christen bit her thumb and blood gushed out of it.. She used the blood and drew a circle and a triangle in the middle.. She then brought her hands together and made it form like a triangle.. Before I knew what was going on.. Everything stood still, nothing was moving even the flies that were flying around stood in mid-air.. It was as if time had stopped moving.

After that, Something emerged out of the circle, It was a man but his legs were like tentacles.. And in his hands.. There was a human leg, he held it the way we hold a fried chicken’s leg..

His look was intense and scary.. First he looked at me licking his lips but then As he saw Christen, his eye’s widened.

Demon ➡ Christen… You insolent b*tch.. You dare to summon me from my slumber.

.

Christen ➡ Shut up fool.. I’m in need of your power..

.

Demon ➡ I won’t assist you.. Wh*re..

.

Christen ➡ That’s fine.. Then I’ll put your back where you belong.. The depths of hell.. I see you’re having a good time in this mortal realm.. It would be too bad if you go back to hell where there’s nothing but pain and misery.

Demon ➡ D–n you! Okay.. Fine.. I will help you.

Christen ➡ That’s better now.. Since you have the power to manipulate Astra realm (Time) I want you to stop it for some time until I’m done with what I’m about to do.

Demon ➡ Okay.. Hurry up… I’m in the middle of an appetizing meal.

Christen went over to Lionel’s body and started working on him.. She stood over his head and opened his mouth, Then she did something, that almost made me regret kissing her Mhiztaemy stories .. She brought out a big black spider from inside her mouth, then she bit the spider slowly as if she was opening a pure water leather..

After that, she squeezed the spiders juice into Lionel’s mouth.. I just couldn’t bear the sight anymore so I decided to stop her..

Riley ➡ Christen stop this is madness.

Christen ➡ I would prefer if you shut up and let me do my work.

.

Riley ➡ Is squeezing a spiders fluid going to save him..

.

Christen ➡ Choose now.. Either I save him or I allow him to die.. Your choice?

I had nothing to do but trust Christen.. Besides she wouldn’t have helped if she didn’t know what she was doing.

After squeezing everything into Lionel’s mouth, She sat next to Lionel putting her hands over his chest.. I could see brights lights coming out from underneath her hands…

I didn’t know how many hours we spent there but it was sure a long time.. Everything still stood still, there was no noise, no sound, nothing absolute silence.

After a while.. Christen went over to Lionel and removed the watch or rather the worm from his wrist.. I was surprised, to be honest..

After that, Christen crushed the vile thing yo death by stomping on it.

Riley ➡ What’s going on?..

Christen ➡ I’m done working on your brother, he’s fine. But I would like to erase very trace of Rose of his memory.. To make him forget about her, so this kind of thing wouldn’t happen again.

Riley ➡ By all means go ahead….

Christen wasted no time in wiping Lionel’s memory about her sister’s existence.. Everything Lionel knew about Rose was gone in an instant..

After Christen was done.. The demon she summoned disappeared out of sight and everything that was standing before began to move again.. I had to check my time to see how many hours we had spent but to my surprise.. The time we had spent was just 60 seconds.. This was so unbelievable.

Christen ➡ You can make it up to me.. In a lot of ways.. Come here.

Christen pulled me close to her and kissed me.. I was so engrossed with her lips that I forgot she removed an ugly spider from her mouth.. As we were stilling kissing, Lionel woke up suddenly interrupting us.

Lionel ➡ (yawns) What’s going on?

.

Riley ➡ (laughs) Guy, you’re okay.. It’s nice to have you back..

.

In that moment, My mom together with the two hypocrites showed up in our room… My mom was delighted to see Lionel safe and sane.. She rushed at him and hugged him.. As for the pastor and his daughter, they began to sing praises to the Lord about Lionel’s sudden recovery.. As for Christen and I we just looked at each other and smiled…
