If Seraphina was shocked from Tobias last night’s actions, then shock ain’t enough to describe this new one.

He slapped her, twice.
A Priest slapped her.
Sitting coldly on that chair, looking up at his unapologetic face as he continued stroking his wrist, she felt freezing sweat break on her temples.
And that was when she realized not only her nose bled. Her bottom lip bled too from the corner.
She could feel the blooming of the metallic taste into her teeth.
The church felt colder, and it looks like she’s the only one feeling it cos this man in front of her?
He’s oddity himself.
With racing chest, she rose, looking like a rented play toy in front of him.
“You’re not a Priest,” she muttered, surprised that she didn’t stutter despite the shitload of shocks in her system right now. “You don’t belong in a Church!” She spat.
“What’s your definition of a Priest?” Tobias replied surprisingly, looking up to meet her eyes.
The fake gentility? Gone.
Calmness facade? Dissipated.
Seraphina feels like he has been laid bare and stripped naked right in front of her. She’s seeing him for who he really is right now.
Tobias St. Graves.
This ain’t The Priest.
And as she stared right back to the blueness of his eyes, she gulped.
“A Priest, should protect his fold. A Priest, should stay immaculately white. A Priest wouldn’t rat a woman out, and a Priest wouldn’t lay his hands on a woman!”
With each word, she moved closer to him, stepping through her fear.
“Noticed how you finished every statement with A Woman?” Tobias said slowly, his words rolling out with quiet menace. “I shouldn’t have laid my hands on a woman, but I can do it to a man? Is that your bone of contention, Stupid Dog?” He demanded.
Her eyes widened.
“I’m not stupid, and I’m not a dog, and I didn’t mean—”
“Now don’t try to twist your words, Dog. I have two perfectly working ears.” His velvet-dark smirk went plastered on his lips as he sat on a chair like he was tired of standing with a clown-ass like her.
He did a really dragged out man-spread, and his left hand rested on his crotch, then his mocking eyes came up to meet her again.
“I said,” Seraphina’s lips tightened. “I am not a Dog! The name is Seraphina which I don’t appreciate you calling either cos it doesn’t belong to a rotten mouth like yours!”
“Heard you’ve been in love with my twin for what? Five years?” He rested his elbows on his knees, leaning forward, his muscles straining against his shirt on the shoulders.
“And those five years were spent in the corner of your room at your parents house cos they wouldn’t allow a shame like you to come out and disgrace the family. After five shitass years, he proposed marriage, and you thought he was a damn angel? Stupid is too nice for you.”
Seraphina’s fingers are attached to her wide skirt, squeezing painfully. As she squeezed, her knuckles whitened and shook.
“Let me take a rough guess; the first time you saw him five years ago was on the cover of Forbes,” He continued, his lips refusing to tighten as he poured out the vile words. “If I were your family, I’d buy you a fuckin dungeon where you’ll get to live forever like a dog that doesn’t deserve to see the light.”
“And you?” Seraphina blurted with heavy lips, remembering what she heard Kelly saying to Dean. Her confidence rebuilt slowly.
“You’re a cultist turned Priest. I guess you spent your time slashing everyone in Hollow University, so much you don’t even have time to check out how ugly you’ve become spiritually and physically. A Ugly Dog like you won’t break me with your weak words, and Dean might be the way he is right now, but he’s still far better than a filthy thing like you with no moral compass. Burn in hell.”
With that, she quickly whipped around, walking out of the Church in obvious rush.
By the door, she nearly bumped into Jude, but Jude was quick to shift aside so she could go through.
Jude looked at the back of her head, seeing how she hastened till she disappeared down the Church park.
He entered the Church, meeting Tobias who’s still seated in that front row, staring into space.
“Father, Mrs. St. Graves just left in a hurry. Is anything the prob—”
“You talk too much,” Tobias stood, walking past him, gaiting straight out of the Church.
Jude stood in position for a second, then he turned, remembering what he heard about how he slashed Dean.
He shook his head.
“Maybe Dean was lying, maybe he got slashed by another person. That’s it.” He told himself and scurried off.
—
Seraphina’s tears nearly bursted when she got back to her car, but she was strong enough to keep the tears at bay, never allowing it to fall.
She kept rubbing her eyes with her fingers, petting herself and reminding herself that tears are a sign of weakness.
When her family maltreated her daily, she fought back and bled instead of crying.
This won’t break her at all.
But…
His words…
“After five shitass years, he proposed marriage, and you thought he was a damn angel?”
She rubbed her eyes harder, nearly popping the eyeballs out of the sockets. She must have been really dumb to think that Dean felt something for her when he came with the sudden marriage proposal.
But it’s not entirely her fault.
For someone who had been camped all her life and never got the chance to go out except whenever her sisters were going out, when Dean came all smiles and sweet, she was bound to fall for it like a mindless fool.
Using tissues, she wiped her bloody lip and nose, then she opened her drawer, pulled out a single cigar and lit it up with her old zippo.
She had a single, long drag which went straight to her head.
She wasn’t really a smoker, but crocheting all day inside her room at home made her inculcate some really bad habits. Smoking tops the habits.
She took the second drag, feeling much better as she looked outside of her window, realizing she’s still inside the Church compound.
She can’t go back home now, so she got her phone and dialled Allison.
“Sup, Brand New Wifey!” Allison’s bubbly voice came instantly.
Allison has never not picked her call no matter how busy she was.
“Hey, can I come spend some hours with you right now?”
“Lucky you! My event has just thirty minutes left to wrap up. Come over to Sunnyvale Hotel and wait for me at the lobby.” Allison replied.
Seraphina didn’t wait to end the call before driving out of the Church.

[Rectory]
Tobias had just ordered for new paint drums for the Rectory.
The outside can remain white for the sake of fakery, but the inside where he actually stays? He wants it in total black and gold, so he made a call to the store and ordered.
He’s gonna be doing the painting all on his own. Average; three days.
He dropped his phone, but it immediately made a beep, causing him to pick it back up.
The notification is from Wrath Investments Empire forum since he’s following up on every news.
• WIE just moved up to number 5 Investment Empire in the whole country and maintained it’s number one position in New York while boosting up it’s stand with a large number after it’s mouthwatering investment on Redd Holdings. The collaboration to build the giant hotel is expected to shake the business world to it’s foundation.
Tobias had no expression as he read it casually and dropped the phone, getting his customized laptop.
He sat at the bed edge, placed the laptop on his laps and opened up.
Secret files filled the laptop. Each file requires a classified password.
He opened the last file, and right there, sat files of rated videos.
It’s been five years since he opened this file, but what can be done?
He’s feeling like himself today.
He clicked on one, and he pressed his back to a pillow, watching with a cringed look in his eyes.
He must have kept his wolf leashed for too long that he’s now too hungry to get satiated by this shit.
It’s as though they’re playing house in the videos. He moved from one click to another. Nothing impressed him.
Not the way the c+vks were plowing the p+ssies. Not the way the pussies were being eaten. Not the way the br+àsts were being sucked or the way the c+vks were blowed.
The Tobias of five years ago would be madly turned on by now and be driven to m+$turbation already, but this ain’t enough to turn him on anymore. It’s too low.
Who the f+ck shot this?
He needs better.
He shut down the laptop violently, and it nearly broke, but his situation was interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell on the main door.
He saw that the first two buttons of his shirt are open, but he didn’t bother fixing them before exiting.
He went past the study first, then the personal kitchen packed with coffee and cereals, his personal prayer room stacked with old prayer books, his cellar that’s lined throughout with red juices only, and then five other rooms before he got to the main door.
The Rectory is wide.
He pulled the door open, meeting the thirsty-looking Nun standing there with a covered neat tray of lunch.
Nun Estelle swallowed dryness down her parched throat immediately she saw his temptingly open wide chest.
She instantly wants to kiss it.
How can a man of God have this kinda body? So perfectly carv…
She quickly snapped out of her thoughts and looked up at his face, noticing he’s still standing there by the door, probably waiting for her to explain why she was the one who brought the lunch he didn’t ask.
“The kitchen Sisters finished making lunch late, so they rushed to their prayers immediately they finished. Since we the Nuns are done with our prayers, I offered to bring your lunch.” She quickly explained.
Shadows gathered in his eyes.
“I don’t eat lunch, and do not ever step this threshold again unless you call first.” He instructed, and despite the darkness hiding in those words, Estelle wasn’t gonna leave.
“I’ll keep it in mind that you don’t take lunch, but then, I can’t come and just leave without doing anything. Are you sure you don’t have clothes to wash? It’s not cool to wash underwear in the washing machine, Father. How about I wash your boxers and singlets for yo—”
The door slammed on her face, and she bit her lip slowly, bruising it.
“Does he…hate me?” She muttered, leaving with slow steps.
Inside, Tobias received another beep as he returned to the bedroom.
He stopped by the bedroom door to read the text properly.
• Congratulations on becoming a Priest, Wrath. Too bad I haven’t been able to send your flowers, but not to worry, I’mma send them during your Sunday Mass tommorow.
Tobias expression went acrid.

[Brothers Quarters – Jude’s Room]
Getting back to his room, curiosity and restlessness took over Jude again, and he needed cure.
So, he jumped in his bed and picked his phone.
He typed a key search→Hollow University, Tobias St. Graves.
But it gave him nothing.
Only the surname St. Graves caught the search data, so it gave him pictures of Dean and Saint.
Oh…Saint graduated from that same University?
Jude sat up, reading more.
Dean graduated as the overall best student of the school in his set.
When Saint graduated, he also graduated as the overall best student of the school in his set.
So why is there nothing on Tobias when it’s obvious he also graduated from that school same year Dean graduated? Has everything about him been that carefully wiped?
Jude let out a sigh, looking up from his phone before dropping it.
“Dean was definitely lying. Father Tobias wouldn’t do that.” He muttered, giving up.

[Redd Estate – Fourth Floor]
This floor belongs to Dora, and for a troublemaker who’s always ranting or playing disturbing music, the floor is suspiciously silent, and that’s because she’s still asleep.
She’s in bed, legs sprawled carelessly, hair scattered on the sheets, peeking out of the duvet which she dragged completely over her head.
The smell of weed concealed every other smell in the room.
It’s like a junkie space.
But the soft rapping of knuckles against the door made Dora stir, groaning as her eyes opened.
The knock came again.
“It’s too early in the morning for anyone to ruin my beauty sleep!” Dora shouted, yanking the duvet away, revealing her squeezed face.
In her bra and panties, she walked to the door, the flat ass barely moving till she opened the door, only to meet Peach standing there.
“You?” Dora scoffed, annoyed. “Why were you knocking on ot my door? I’m not your playmate!”
“Just that …” Peach said softly. “Everyone’s been gone for long, but I didn’t see you leave, and I’ve been reading, but now I feel lonely, and—”
“Wait!” Dora’s eyes opened completely as she raised a finger. “Rewind! Everyone’s been gone for long? How?”
“It’s 1pm, Aunt Dora.” Peach said.
“Holy dick!” Dora cussed, rushing back inside to check her phone.
It’s really 1pm, and her mails have been blowing up with messages from her exclusive, regular patrons.
Even phone calls from her staffs and online texts.
“Geez! I drank so much last night thinking about how I’d be bored in the house without the Frump to beat! At the end of the day, this is all her fault! She’s not even in this house anymore, but she’s still staining me with her inescapable bad luck!” She shouted, throwing the phone.
From the door, Peach witnessed her show of pushing blames silently till Dora rushed into the bathroom to have her hasty bath.
In few minutes, she was out.
She dried up and dressed up as hastily as she bathed, sporting a br@ top and Jean tights from her brand.
She slipped into her overly tall peeptoe heels and grabbed her shoulder bag, about to leave when she remembered she didn’t spray.
She went back for it, and as she sprayed, her eyes went to Peach who’s still by the door.
She walked up to her and sprayed the girl in the face.
Peach began coughing. Her intolerance to choky scents kicked in.
She held her chest. Her teddy fell from her, bouncing.
Dora smiled.
“Surviving in this family means facing your fears, Peach. You can’t live long if you don’t stop this annoying intolerance.”
She left the house, abandoning Peach by that door. The poor girl kept coughing, leaning on the door.
“D… daddy…”

[Kiss Fashion Clan]
Among other skyscrapers, Kiss looks cute and at the same time rigid in it’s blinking pink and blue color.
You can’t work in here if your face card isn’t a solid ten. Dora made sure of that, and throughout the few months she spent in rehab, her Manager also made sure of it.
All the staffs here are s+xy—males and females.
No fashion company has confidently beat Kiss in operations and designs.
Dora’s designers are unknown, but she releases new unbeatable designs every week which is still an unraveled mystery.
This morning, gists and gossips flew over every desk in the building cos Dora isn’t here yet anyways.
There’s still time to mong.
“Hey, you know why boss spent three months in rehab?”
“Isn’t it because of her crazy head? I mean…we all know how she rolls.”
“I feel like they all need therapy in that Redd family.”
“Not my issue. I’m ok so far my salary hits my account monthly.”
“Boss is here!!!” One of them screamed.
That was all they needed to scatter to their seats.
Everyone reached their workstations within a minute, and Dora came in in the company of her manager and guards, her black shades giving her the usual look of a top hawk.
No one looked up, but as she strolled to her office, she talked….
“The three staffs in charge of my phonecall alert, clear your desks and leave. Y’all are fired.”
“Miss, but we called you! We called like twenty times this morning! You didn’t answer!” One of them gasped.
“That only means you didn’t call enough. You Are Fired!” Dora finalized before entering her office.
The three began tidying their desks.

[Sunnyvale Hotel Lobby]
Allison said thirty minutes, but Seraphina has been waiting for an hour now, and Allison still didn’t show up in the lobby.
Her event must be taking longer than expected, so Seraphina waited.
Allison must have told a hotel kitchen staff to serve her cos she was served wine to soak her throat.
She has been taking little sips while looking online for job opportunities, but it’s sad.
The business world is dominated by people she knows.
Redd Holdings is owned by her own father and older sister Kimmy.
Kiss Fashions is owned by her younger sister Dora.
WIE is owned by her husband.
Even Genevieve, her mother is dominating the movie industry.
The faces of the mentioned people are all-over magazines and business news as part of the most successful people in the country.
But here she is, wilting away.
Her university education was stopped when she was in her second year cos her parents claimed she wasn’t bright enough and schooling her further would be a waste of money.
She tried to sponsor herself, but no one bought her crotchets.
Her history is a real mess.
She lost interest in the wine and dropped the glass, checking her account balance.
She doesn’t even have up to 50k.
Then, whisperings came from the lobby desk behind her.
“The unsuccessful daughter of the Redd family?”
“You recognize her too?”
“Who wouldn’t recognize a failure in the midst of successful people?”
“If I were her, I’d throw myself off a cliff. I mean…even her younger sister is filthy rich!”
“I heard Dean St. Graves married her for contract.”
“Why else would a successful, handsome man like him marry her?”
Seraphina pretended not to hear shit.
It’s not the first time people gossiped her right in front of her. She focused on searching for online jobs that’d hire a dropout, but then someone sat beside her.
She looked up, surprised to see Allison’s sister—Bexley.
“Bex?” She smiled.
“At this rate, you’re more of a sister to my sister than me.” Bexley said with a slanted expression.
Bexley isn’t lively like Allison, and there’s a limit to her likeness for Seraphina.
Sometimes, Seraphina feels like Bexley doesn’t even like her.
“You look good,” Seraphina complimented.
“Of course I’m shinning. I’m not jobless, and I don’t go around wearing wide long skirts like v+rgin Mary.” Bexley shrugged.
“What?” Seraphina muttered.
“The event is still going on?” Bexley stood, her extensions curling down her back lavishly. Her lashes fanned like she’d fly. “I guess I’mma call her then. I can’t wait one more minute.”
With that, she bounced out, her heels sending signals as they tapped.
“Phina!” Allison’s voice made Seraphina stand quickly.
“You didn’t take long at all, trust me.” She joked.
“I’m so sorry, darl. Your husband came for the event at the last minute, so I had to wait and connect!” Allison explained excitedly.
“Dean was there?” Seraphina asked, wondering why she didn’t see him enter. Unless he took another door different from this lobby door.
“Yeah, he came with the VVIP from the special elevator, and he donated two billion dollars for charity! I’m still gagged!” Allison chatted on, but when her eyes caught what Seraphina wore, she gasped.
“Phina, no….this ain’t it. You promised to drop this dress sense once you got married, so what’s this? The long skirt covering your knees again? No jewelry? No makeup? The excessively covering long-sleeve top?” Allison scolded.
“I can never get comfortable with open dresses, Lis. Can I be left alone? By the way, your sis came.” Seraphina replied, changing topic.
“Bexley was here?” Allison blinked. “And she didn’t wait?”
“You know how she is.” Seraphina shrugged.
“She’s gon call, I guess.” Allison shrugged back. “Now, let’s hit the spa! I can’t wait to have some spa time with you! And don’t even tell me you’re not gonna get your nails and lashes done.”
“You know I’ve always hated how nails and lashes look,” Seraphina complained. “and…
“Girl, c’mon!” Allison pulled. “You’re a married woman now, drive your husband crazy with these things! The thongs I bought you for your honeymoon, I wonder if you even wore them at all.”
“Allison,” Seraphina sighed.
“Fine, no nails! No lashes! But let’s go spa and receive massages!” Allison pulled her, and she followed, smiling.
“I’ve got myself a prude as a friend!” Allison sang.
“Stop!” Seraphina laughed as they stepped out together.

[Wrath Investments Empire]
Kelly went with Dean for the fundraiser event at Sunnyvale Hotel, but she went with him as the company’s Analyst.
For now, Dean suggested it was better they kept their relationship a secret till he’d be done with Seraphina.
So they can’t be lovely in the open.
When they got back to the company, she walked beside him with her face ahead like a professional staff.
Here, staffs don’t need to see Dean coming before they get to work.
They work even in his absence cos there’s always lots to do anyways. Everyone works hard for their pay.
So everyone’s focused on their systems on every floor, no single noise, not even a beep till they arrived at Dean’s floor.
Dean’s secretary rushed out of his workstation, meeting the two by the door of Dean’s office.
“Sir, I was told you went to the fundraiser with Analyst Kelly, and I was surprised cos it’s my job as your Secretary to—”
“Who’s the Boss here?” Dean cut in.
The Secretary looked confused for a second before he got the point, then he nodded. “It’s you, sir. You have the power to choose whoever you want to follow you up.”
“Good,” Dean said and entered the office with Kelly who shut the door gently after them.
She didn’t wait a heartbeat after the entry. Her hands were already all-over Dean’s body, loosening his tie, unbuttoning his shirt, attaching their lips in a desperate kiss.
Dean went with her pace, dragging her office skirt up till the fabric bunched on her waist.
He pulled away her g-strings and placed a finger on her clit, testing her wetness. And of course she’s hot.
Kelly broke the kiss, panting high as she undid his belt.
“How impatient,” Dean murmured, hurling her to his desk.
The glass held her back.
“We were in public for two hours at the fundraiser, and it was hard to pretend to be just your Analyst. I want you now, Dean.” She breathed, pulling his belt off.
Dean twisted her, and she bent over the desk—as if programmed to do it.
“Tell me this Empire belongs to us, and us alone. This is what your twin brother will use to pay for what he did to us. You’re never giving this place back to him. You’re the CEO, and I’m your First Lady, the future Mrs. St. Graves.” She said, moaning, grabbing the desk edges tightly.
“He’s stuck in the Church, so there’s no way, Kel. I’ve got the best lawyer, judge, and skilled establishment assassins on my payroll. I’ll have to be dead before I can let go of this place for him.” Dean uttered, inserting himself in her slick ass.
“Jesus fuckin….yes please!!” Kelly moaned. “Yes yes! Fûck yes!…ohh!!”

[Redd Holdings]
As the company’s Project Manager, Acosta has been busy since the investment came in yesterday.
Today got worse.
Work has started on the giant hotel building with the constructors, but the first day funds was taking too long to come in, so Acosta angrily came back to the company, barging into Kimmy’s office.
Kimmy sat behind her desk with a unnerving smile like she had been waiting for him to come which is actually true.
She intentionally delayed the funds.
“Here you are, Costa.” She relaxed on her swivel.
“You tell me why the starting day funds hasn’t been issued and sent! I kept calling, and you kept declining like you knew what you were doing!” Acosta shouted at her face.
“I needed to remind you who’s in charge after the shit you did to me in bed last night.” Kimmy shrugged.
“You’re intentionally stressing me cos I didn’t f+ck you good last night?” Acosta’s eyes widened.
“You know damn well what I can do, so you shouldn’t have triggered me!” Kimmy stood suddenly.
“If I fail to deliver my quota at the site today, you know your dad’s gonna chew me out!” Acosta spat.
“And how is that my problem?” Kimmy chuckled. “I’ve always been the perfect Chief Finance Officer, so this is your shit to fix!”
Acosta angrily gave her shoulders a push, and Kimmy fell back on her chair, getting overpowered.
Instantly, Marley entered, catching Acosta by surprise.
Marley came straight for him and threw a lethal punch to his mouth.
Acosta lurched back with a bursted bloody lip, and Marley nearly threw him the second punch, but Kimmy quickly stood and blocked it.
“Dad, no!”
“He pushed you! I saw it!” Marley glared hostilely. “If assault is his talent, then there’s no need being here shamelessly mooching off my family! I knew marrying a black nigga was risky, but you didn’t listen!”
“Dad, I’ll talk to him.” Kimmy tried again, still covering Acosta.
“In thirty minutes, get back to the construction site, or I kill you!” Marley threatened.
“I will,” Acosta nodded.
Marley stormed out of the office, and Kimmy faced Acosta, reaching for his face to touch…
He moved away, wordlessly walking out of the office.
Kimmy sat back, sighing. “Shit.”

[Savior’s Alive Church]
At 7pm, Saint’s bike stopped in front of the Church gate with a screech which nearly bore holes on the tar.
He didn’t come alone on the bike.
He came with Grimm who sat in front of the bike while he drove.
Grimm jumped down from the bike immediately it stopped, and Saint smiled intentionally, looking at the Church gate which is wide open.
“Go on it, Grimm. Go get your owner inside. You deserve to stay with him.” He said with a head tilt.
The black dog followed his words, running into the Church fast.
Saint got back on his bike, wearing his helmet before grinning.
“The Sisters and Brothers better be wearing underwear. This assy dog is as wicked as it’s owner.”
He drove off.
—
[Dean’s Estate]
At 8pm when Dean arrived from work, Seraphina isn’t in, but the house ain’t as silent as it should be.
It’s not silent cos her sisters are here.
Kimmy and Dora.
They sat in the expensively designed living room, and they look like they’ve been waiting for a while now.
“Our in-law is finally here,” Dora stood, chewing from an apple she took from the kitchen.
Kimmy kept sitting. She’s eating a really big long cucumber.
Dean looked elsewhere for Seraphina. She’s nowhere.
“Oh, your wife? She ain’t here,” Dora came closer with a cocky lift of her slim shoulders.
“We came to say hi as we missed our middle sister, but too bad she ain’t in.” Kimmy smiled.
Dean nodded.
He clearly told her to always get back home before 7pm.
Now at 8, she’s still out?
“What are you gon’ do to her when she arrives? Kiss her for being a good wife?” Dora stood in front of him.
“Let’s hear it, in-law.” Kimmy stood behind the two of them.
Dean’s hand went to his belt buckle, undoing it smoothly. He pulled out the belt, hung it on his shoulders, and began rolling up his sleeves.
“I’m killing her.” He stated.

Dora and Kimmy’s eyes met instantly.
While Dora smiled roughly,
Kimmy sat back, crossing her legs…
“Can’t f+ckin wait.” She said, biting threateningly into her cucumber.
TBC.
