-๐–๐ก๐ข๐ญ๐ž ๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž- 8 AM

Iris was lounging on the relaxation chair by the poolside, sunglasses sliding down her nose as Robert sat dutifully at the far end of the bench, massaging her feet like a devoted servant.

A maid pushed in a trolley stacked with platesโ€”fresh fruit, pancakes, omelettes, pastries.

โ€œMaโ€™am, sirโ€ฆ breakfast is ready,โ€ the maid announced politely.

Iris lifted her head instantly.

โ€œDarling, youโ€™ll feed me, right?โ€ she asked with an exaggerated pout.

โ€œYeah, sure,โ€ Robert replied, already adjusting himself.

โ€œYay!โ€ she squealed like a child, clapping softly.

Robert coaxed her into sitting properly before picking up a fork and feeding her bite after bite.

Nagging.
After nagging.
And even more nagging.

Ever since Iris got pregnant, it had been an endless rollercoaster of mood swings, demands, cravings, and crying spells.

Yesโ€”pregnant. You heard right.

When Hades found out, he nearly fainted. Not out of joy, but pure fury. He had made it very clear he didnโ€™t want any sibling.

But when the gender reveal was held and livestreamed, the entire country practically exploded with excitement.

Everyone was counting down to the babyโ€™s arrivalโ€ฆ honestly, even more than Iris herself.

Iris chewed slowly, her lips trembling.

โ€œDarlingโ€ฆ do you think you can talk to your son? He barely visits us. Does he hate me? Doesnโ€™t he want to meet his baby brother?โ€ Her voice cracked, and then came the tears.

Robert instantly wiped her cheek with his thumb. โ€œShh, shh. Our son is just busy with a lot of stuff. He doesnโ€™t hate you.โ€

โ€œBut he doesnโ€™t visit,โ€ she sobbed, sniffing dramatically.

โ€œAlright,โ€ Robert exhaled. โ€œHereโ€™s what Iโ€™ll do. Iโ€™ll call him and see if he can visit tonight.โ€

Iris gasped, clutching his arm. โ€œReally?!โ€

โ€œYeah,โ€ he nodded, kissing her temple. โ€œSo stop stalkingโ€”โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t stalk him!โ€ Iris snapped.

Robert raised a brow. โ€œBabyโ€ฆ you installed a tracker on his car.โ€

โ€œWell Iโ€™m his mother!โ€ she yelled.

โ€œAnd you hacked his security cameras.โ€

โ€œI needed to make sure he wasnโ€™t drinking those horrible energy drinks or loading on junks! Theyโ€™re bad for his health!โ€

โ€œAnd you paid a private investigator to follow him around for a week.โ€

Iris rolled her eyes. โ€œUgh, you men are so dramatic.โ€

Robert fought a laugh. โ€œAlright, alright. Iโ€™ll call him. Just relax, okay?โ€

โ€œFine,โ€ she mumbled, wiping her tears. โ€œFeed me again.โ€

Robert picked up the fork.

She opened her mouth.

โ€œWhoโ€™s acting like a baby this morning?โ€ Corazonโ€™s voice floated into the pool area, amused and affectionate.

โ€œCorazon! Thank God youโ€™re here,โ€ Iris sighed dramatically as Robert stood up.

โ€œIโ€™ll leave you ladies to chat,โ€ he said, leaning down to kiss Irisโ€™ head before walking off.

Corazon pulled a chair closer and sat beside Iris. โ€œSoโ€ฆ howโ€™s our mommy doing?โ€

โ€œThis baby is giving me a worse headache than Hades ever did,โ€ Iris groaned, rubbing her temples.

โ€œI bet he is,โ€ Corazon replied with a laugh. โ€œYour kids have a habit of coming in strong.โ€

Iris let out a deep pouty breath. โ€œBy the wayโ€ฆ howโ€™s Bluey? Any news on her return?โ€

Corazonโ€™s smile softened. โ€œShe hasnโ€™t said anything yet. Sheโ€™s so busy these days, sheโ€™s never in one place. Sheโ€™s hopping from one country to another with Noah. I can’t even visit her if I wanted to.โ€

Irisโ€™ face fell a little. โ€œI really hope she comes home soon. I miss her so much.โ€

โ€œYeah,โ€ Corazon nodded gently, placing a hand on her shoulder. โ€œMe too.โ€

Iris sniffed, leaning her head against the chair. โ€œItโ€™s like everyoneโ€™s leaving me.โ€

โ€œOh, sweetheart, no oneโ€™s leaving you,โ€ Corazon said, squeezing her shoulder. โ€œBlueyโ€™s just living her life. And trust me, sheโ€™ll be running back home soon enough.โ€

โ€œYou think so?โ€ Iris looked up with big, hopeful eyes.

โ€œI know so,โ€ Corazon smiled.

Irisโ€™ eyes watered again. โ€œUgh, why am I crying over everything?โ€

โ€œBecause youโ€™re pregnant.โ€ Corazon laughed. โ€œAnd alsoโ€ฆ because youโ€™re dramatic.โ€

โ€œI am dramatic,โ€ Iris admitted with a giggle, wiping her cheeks. โ€œBut Robert loves me for it.โ€

โ€œHe really does,โ€ Corazon said. โ€œNow come on, tell me what this new baby has been doing to you this morning.โ€

Bluey groaned as she peeled her eyes open, the hotel curtains letting in soft morning light.

The first thing she saw was Noahโ€™s face hovering barely an inch from hers, his messy hair sticking out in every direction.

โ€œRise and shine, sleeping beauty,โ€ Noah said, voice low and annoyingly cheerful for someone awake this early.

Bluey blinked, unimpressed. โ€œIs it morning already?โ€ she muttered, dragging the covers over her head.

โ€œYes it is.โ€ Noah tugged the blanket down gently, grinning. โ€œAnd before you complainโ€”againโ€”I already ordered room service.โ€

โ€œMhm.โ€

She finally sat up, hair tousled, eyes half-closed. Noah watched her shuffle off toward the bathroom like a zombie, shaking his head with a quiet laugh.

When she returned, she looked slightly more alive. The dining table was setโ€”pancakes, eggs, fruit, everything she liked.

Noah was already seated, phone in hand, but he put it down when she approached.

He pulled her chair out without thinking. She plopped onto it.

โ€œSoโ€ฆโ€ Noah leaned back, stretching his arms behind the chair in that casual, relaxed way he always had around her. โ€œWhat are your plans today? Want to go anywhere?โ€

Bluey stabbed a strawberry with her fork. โ€œYh. I want to go shopping.โ€

โ€œSure,โ€ he replied immediately, no hesitation, like it was obvious heโ€™d go with her.

She nudged his leg under the table. He nudged backโ€”gently, like it was a reflex.

โ€œAfter shopping,โ€ Noah said, eyes on his food but smile tugging his lips, โ€œwe can get ice cream. Or whatever you want.โ€

Bluey rolled her eyes lightly. โ€œI wasnโ€™t asking for a date.โ€

โ€œI didnโ€™t say it was one,โ€ he said, leaning forward and flicking a crumb off her cheek with his thumb. โ€œYouโ€™re just messy.โ€

She swatted his hand away, cheeks warming. โ€œShut up.โ€

He chuckled and took the plate closest to her, slicing her pancakes the way she liked themโ€”small pieces, because she hated when they soaked up too much syrup.

โ€œYouโ€™re welcome,โ€ he teased.

โ€œI didnโ€™t say thank you.โ€

โ€œYou didnโ€™t have to.โ€

*

Noah was sitting comfortably on the bed, already dressed, scrolling through his phone while waiting for Bluey.

The bathroom door opened.

“How does this look?” Bluey stepped out, twirling lightly. The short black gown clung to her curves, showing off miles of legs.

Noah slowly lifted his gaze, eyes dragging all the way up before meeting hers.

โ€œDamnโ€ฆโ€ he muttered under his breath, then cleared his throat.

โ€œI meanโ€” itโ€™s nice. But donโ€™t you think itโ€™s a little too short? Youโ€™re showing a lot of skin.โ€

Bluey smirked. โ€œThatโ€™s the point. I like it. Itโ€™s sexy.โ€

He stood and walked toward her, stopping just close enough for her to feel his breath on her cheek.

โ€œWellโ€ฆ if you like it,โ€ he said softly, โ€œ…then itโ€™s perfect. You look good in anything. But you look dangerous in this.โ€

Blueyโ€™s cheeks warmed.

โ€œDangerous?โ€ she repeated with a grin.

He nodded, brushing a strand of her hair to the side. โ€œYeah. The type of dangerous that makes people stare.โ€

โ€œThen maybe you should stay close,โ€ she teased. โ€œYou knowโ€ฆ to protect me.โ€

โ€œOh, I plan to,โ€ he murmured.

His phone suddenly rang, breaking the moment.

He checked the caller ID and sighed before answering.

โ€œAnnyeong, Yuna.โ€ Noah said flatly.

โ€œNoah-ya, eodiya? Oneul mannalkka?โ€
(โ€œNoah, where are you? Can we meet today?โ€)

โ€œUmโ€ฆ anim. Na geunyang sanggwan eopseo.โ€
(โ€œUmโ€ฆ no. Iโ€™m just not interested.โ€)

โ€œWae geurae Noah? Nawa hang-aetgo sipeojanha?โ€
(โ€œWhy, Noah? Donโ€™t you want to hang out with me?โ€)

โ€œYuna-ya, manyaegihaetji. Naneun jigeum yeonae hal saenggak eopseo.โ€
(โ€œYuna, I already told you. Iโ€™m not thinking about dating right now.โ€)

โ€œGeuraedoโ€”โ€
(โ€œButโ€”โ€)

Noah hung up before she could finish.

Bluey raised a brow. โ€œYuna. The girl you hooked up with last week?โ€

โ€œYeah.โ€ He slipped his phone into his pocket. โ€œNo idea why sheโ€™s still calling.โ€

โ€œYou done?โ€ she asked, grabbing her purse. โ€œBecause I want to shop.โ€

โ€œYeah, Iโ€™m done.โ€

He reached for her hand without thinking twice, fingers lacing with hers.

โ€œCome on,โ€ he said, tugging her gently toward the door. โ€œLetโ€™s go before someone else calls me and ruins the moment.โ€

Bluey smiled and let him lead her out.

The living room was a disaster zone of scattered toys, blocks, and stuffed animals. In the middle of the chaos, Morgan sat cross-legged on the soft carpet, an action figure in each hand.

Across from her, Mason, who was barely 2 years old, waved his tiny arms around, gripping his own set of toys with a fierce little determination.

โ€œOkay, Mason! Captain Thunder is gonna take down the evil Dragonon!โ€ Morgan declared in an exaggerated, playful voice, crouching low so her action figure could โ€˜jumpโ€™ at his.

โ€œNuh-uh! Dragony nooo! He fite Captain Thun-da!โ€ Mason squealed, his toddler voice thick with excitement, his little fists banging his toys against hers.

โ€œWhoa, careful! Watch out for his fire blast!โ€ Morgan gasped, leaning back as though she was avoiding an invisible flame, making Mason giggle uncontrollably.

โ€œFireโ€ฆ nooo! Boom! Boom!โ€ he shouted, making his toy jump on hers.

Morgan deliberately let her figure fall dramatically, letting Masonโ€™s toy โ€˜win.โ€™

โ€œOh nooo! My heroโ€™s down! You did it, Mason! Youโ€™re the strongest warrior ever!โ€ she cheered, clapping her hands and bouncing slightly to keep the energy high.

Mason threw his head back and laughed, squealing, โ€œI win! I win! He no moโ€™ strong!โ€

โ€œYes, yes! Youโ€™re super duper strong, Mason! Captain Thunder goes bye-bye!โ€ Morgan laughed, using her toy to tap Masonโ€™s gently, letting him declare the victory.

โ€œAgain! Again!โ€ Mason insisted, flopping onto his belly and reaching for the toys on the floor.

โ€œOkay, okay, letโ€™s battle again! But this time, Mason, you have to use your super jump powers!โ€ Morgan said, raising her eyebrows in mock seriousness.

โ€œJump! Jump!โ€ Mason repeated, his little arms flailing, as he made his action figure leap high, knocking over Morganโ€™s carefully posed figure.

โ€œAhhh! Nooo! Heโ€™s flying! Mason, youโ€™re unstoppable!โ€ Morgan exaggerated, letting him cheer like a true winner, her own laughter mixing with his.

They continued like this, back and forth, Morgan speaking in her best toddler voice to match Masonโ€™s babbles, using silly words like โ€œboom-boom,โ€ โ€œzappy zap,โ€ and โ€œuh-ohie,โ€ encouraging him at every move.

By the end, Mason was rolling on the carpet, laughing so hard he could barely breathe, while Morgan sat back, grinning, letting him feel like the hero of the day.

โ€œYou the best, Mason! Bestest fighter ever! I’m gonna go tell Daddy and mummy how strong you are!โ€ She said, ruffling his hair affectionately.

โ€œYeah! Mason strong! Uh-oh! Boom!โ€ he giggled, throwing a block into the pile of scattered toys, completely content with his victory.

โ€œArenโ€™t you guys tired?โ€ Maureen walked into the living room, smiling at the mess of toys scattered everywhere.

โ€œYou bet I am, Mom. Masonโ€™s like a little hurricane,โ€ Morgan groaned, flopping onto the carpet with her phone still in hand.

โ€œMommy, big sis so fun to play with!โ€ Masonโ€™s baby voice bubbled, and he wiggled happily in her direction.

โ€œI know, big boy! But itโ€™s time to wash upโ€”youโ€™re all sweaty and sticky,โ€ Maureen said, scooping him up.

โ€œOkay, Mommy!โ€ Mason planted a quick kiss on Morganโ€™s cheek before following Maureen out of the room.

Morgan exhaled, resting her head on her arm. She grabbed her phone and tapped Trevorโ€™s name, starting a video call.

โ€œHey, whatโ€™s up, my love? Miss me already?โ€ Trevor asked, his shirtless torso coming into view, a grin spreading across his face.

โ€œMiss you? Never,โ€ Morgan replied, smirking, though her cheeks flushed just a little at seeing him.

โ€œIโ€™m hanging up,โ€ he teased, raising an eyebrow.

โ€œDonโ€™t you dare,โ€ she shot back, reaching out to tap the screen playfully.

Trevor giggled, his eyes softening. โ€œWanna hang out?โ€

โ€œMmmโ€ฆ nah, Iโ€™m wiped. Might just take a nap. I just wanted to see your face,โ€ she admitted, her voice quieter, more intimate.

Trevor leaned closer to the camera, his expression tender.

โ€œWell, lucky for me, I get to see it everyday. Look at you, all tired and cute. Makes me wanna be there to hold you.โ€

Morgan bit her lip, smiling shyly.

โ€œYouโ€™d better not start making me fall in love with you all over again over the video. I want to kiss you.โ€ she whispered, her heart fluttering.

โ€œMe too,โ€ he said softly, his voice low and warm. โ€œBut no, I don’t think I want to.โ€

Morganโ€™s breath caught, and she leaned back against the couch, staring at him.

โ€œYouโ€™re so full of yourself,โ€ she murmured, but there was no real anger in her toneโ€”only affection.

Trevor grinned. โ€œIโ€™ll take that as a compliment. Now, try to rest a little, okay? Dream of me.โ€

โ€œHmmโ€ฆ maybe I will,โ€ she whispered, letting her eyes soften as she watched him smile.

For a few quiet minutes, they simply looked at each other through the screen.

“See you later.”She winked and ended the call.

Hugo was buttoning his shirt in the bedroom when Dawn walked in, her expression sharp and eyes narrowed.

โ€œHugoโ€ฆ whatโ€™s going on between you and your secretary?โ€ she asked, her voice low but edged with hurt.

Hugo froze, tilting his head. โ€œWhat do you mean?โ€

Dawn walked closer, holding her phone up.

โ€œI mean this,โ€ she said, showing him a picture of his secretary leaning close to him, laughing at something he said, her hand almost brushing his arm.

Hugoโ€™s brow furrowed. โ€œAre youโ€ฆ spying on me?โ€ he asked, a hint of disbelief in his tone.

โ€œSpying?โ€ Dawnโ€™s voice cracked slightly.

โ€œNo! Iโ€ฆ I just want to know if youโ€™re cheating on me!โ€ She paused, taking a shaky breath. โ€œI canโ€™t help but notice the way she acts around you.โ€

Hugo softened immediately, stepping toward her.

โ€œDawnโ€ฆ I swear, nothingโ€™s going on. Youโ€™re the only one I care about. You always have been. Dawn, come on. Itโ€™s work. Sheโ€™s doing her job.โ€

โ€œDoing her job?โ€ Dawnโ€™s voice wavered, her lip trembling. โ€œYou laugh at her jokes, you let her sit too close. And I canโ€™t help but notice it!โ€

Hugo sighed, running a hand through his hair. โ€œYou really think Iโ€™dโ€ฆ I donโ€™t know, cheat on you? Is that it?โ€

โ€œOf course I donโ€™t think that,โ€ she whispered, voice breaking slightly. โ€œI justโ€ฆ I hate seeing other women hover around you.โ€

Hugoโ€™s expression softened instantly. He closed the distance, cupping her face in his hands.

โ€œDawn, look at me. Youโ€™re more than enough. Youโ€™re everything to me. Donโ€™t let a little insecurity ruin what we have. You’re my wife, aren’t you?โ€

Tears spilled down her cheeks, and Hugo pulled her into his arms, holding her tight. She clung to him, burying her face in his chest.

โ€œI hate when we fight like this,โ€ she murmured.

โ€œI hate it too,โ€ Hugo whispered, pressing kisses to her temple, then to her forehead.

โ€œBut I promise, when I get home from work, Iโ€™ll take you out. Okay?.โ€

Dawn tilted her head back slightly, meeting his eyes, still shimmering with tears but now softened by affection.

โ€œOkayโ€ฆโ€

Hugo smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. โ€œYouโ€™re mine, Dawn. Always.โ€

She melted into his embrace again, her heart finally settling as she whispered,

โ€œI know, Hugo. I know.โ€

“I’m leaving now.”He said.

“Okay, don’t let her flirt with you.”Dawn pouted.

Hades was already ten minutes into his run, the treadmill humming under his feet as sweat rolled down the line of his spine.

His headphones drowned out the world, loud enough to make the floor vibrate. He didnโ€™t even notice his phone ringing until the screen lit up insistently on the table.

He slowed the treadmill, ripped off his headphones, and grabbed a towel.
The moment he put on his glasses and checked the caller ID, he sighed.

He answered anyway.

โ€œWhat is it?โ€ he said, still breathless.

โ€œBro, where are you?โ€ Trevorโ€™s voice came through immediately, loud like he was yelling over music.

Hades frowned. โ€œIโ€™m at home. Where else would I be atโ€”โ€

Trevor didnโ€™t let him finish. โ€œOkay, well, weโ€™re at the club right now.โ€

Hades blinked. โ€œGood for you?โ€

โ€œYou should come join us!โ€ Hugoโ€™s voice jumped in like he was snatching the phone. โ€œYou havenโ€™t stepped outside in days, no Weeks. I donโ€™t know. Youโ€™ve become a myth.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m good,โ€ Hades muttered, reaching for his water bottle.

โ€œDonโ€™t be a killjoy,โ€ Sergio said, his tone dramatic. โ€œGet your ass here before Trevor orders another bottle we donโ€™t need. Heโ€™s already acting like heโ€™s celebrating something.โ€

โ€œI am celebrating,โ€ Trevor called from the background. โ€œI found my favorite charger after three days. This is a big moment.โ€

โ€œBroโ€ฆโ€ Hades rubbed his forehead. โ€œThatโ€™s not a reason to be at the club.โ€

โ€œEverything is a reason if you try hard enough,โ€ Hugo replied.

Then a calmer voice slipped in.

โ€œHades,โ€ Hyce said. Just his name. Nothing else.

Hades closed his eyes. โ€œDonโ€™t do that.โ€

โ€œDo what?โ€ Hyce asked, innocent.

โ€œThat quiet disappointed tone. Like Iโ€™m rejecting a family dinner.โ€

โ€œThen stop rejecting a family dinner,โ€ Hugo said.

โ€œWe literally ordered wings,โ€ Trevor added. โ€œReal ones, not your healthy nonsense. The kind that could stop a manโ€™s heart. You love those.โ€

Hades internally winced becauseโ€ฆ yes, he did.

โ€œGuys,โ€ he said slowly, โ€œI just want one peaceful evening. One. Iโ€™m begging.โ€

โ€œYou can have peace when youโ€™re dead,โ€ Sergio said cheerfully.

โ€œThatโ€™sโ€ฆ not comforting,โ€ Hades muttered.

โ€œCome on, man,โ€ Hugo insisted. โ€œWeโ€™re bored. Trevor is starting to ask philosophical questionsโ€”โ€

Trevor yelled in the background, โ€œWHAT IF DOORS ARE JUST LAZY WALLS?โ€

Hades sighed so deeply it shook his ribcage.

โ€œFine,โ€ he said at last, grabbing his shirt. โ€œWhatever. Iโ€™ll come.โ€

โ€œAtta boy!โ€ Sergio cheered.

โ€œBring your wallet,โ€ Trevor added.

โ€œWhy?โ€

โ€œBecause mine is missing. Probably with my charger.โ€

Hades hung up.

He stared at his reflection for a second, shook his head, and grabbed his things.

โ€œI canโ€™t have my own peace of mind anymore,โ€ he muttered, walking out of the gym. โ€œGeez.โ€

—–
-๐‚๐ฅ๐ฎ๐›-

Hades walked into the club adjusting his glasses, the bass thumping through the floor as the lights washed over him.

The boys had taken over one of the VIP booths, already loud and chaotic.

โ€œHades my man!โ€ Trevor yelled the moment he spotted him.

Hades raised a brow. โ€œTrevor, are you drunk?โ€

โ€œMe? Drunk? Naโ€ฆโ€ Trevor slurred, waving a hand like a malfunctioning ceiling fan.

โ€œRight.โ€ Hades took the empty seat beside him and reached for the whiskey, pouring himself a glass without asking anyoneโ€™s permission. He really needed it.

Hyce leaned forward, elbows on the table. โ€œGuys, Gomez emailed me his wedding invitation yesterday.โ€

โ€œWedding what?!โ€ they all screamed at the same timeโ€”except Hades, who just sipped his drink.

โ€œYou donโ€™t look surprised,โ€ Sergio said, narrowing his eyes at him.

โ€œHe told me,โ€ Hades replied casually. โ€œHe proposed to Natasha last week. Cute proposal. He even sent me the video.โ€

Trevor groaned. โ€œOf course he did. Dude falls in love like itโ€™s a sport.โ€

โ€œTalking about marriageโ€”Hugo, howโ€™s Dawn treating you?โ€ Trevor asked, poking Hugoโ€™s arm.

โ€œManโ€ฆโ€ Hugo rubbed his face. โ€œItโ€™s war every day. I canโ€™t get a rest. Women are so needyโ€ฆ but I love her, Iโ€™m not complaining.โ€

โ€œOf course you must love her,โ€ Sergio said. โ€œYou cried on your wedding day. A grown ass man.โ€

The table burst into laughter.

โ€œStop teasing me!โ€ Hugo whined. โ€œIt was a rare moment. My baby was so pretty.โ€

โ€œYeah, yeahโ€ฆโ€ Sergio waved him off. โ€œTrevor, youโ€™re the only one left who hasnโ€™t gotten married.โ€

โ€œWhat do you mean Iโ€™m the only one?!โ€ Trevor protested immediately.

Hyce leaned back with a smug look. โ€œWhen are you going to propose to Morgan? You two have been in love the longest. Literally since middle school.โ€

โ€œAunt Maureen said I’m too immature to be a family man.โ€Trevor wailed.

โ€œI support her,โ€ Hades said, raising his glass.

Trevor pointed at him. โ€œLook whoโ€™s talking. You single freak.โ€

“I never told you that I wanted to get into a relationship, did I?” Hades muttered, swirling the whiskey in his glass.

Trevor blinked at him, already flushed. “And why is that? You’re not interested in anyone yet?”

Hades made a face like heโ€™d just smelled something foul. “Can we not talk about my love life? It gives me the ick.”

“Sure, whateverโ€ฆ” Hugo chuckled, leaning back and stretching his legs out under the table.

Trevor suddenly raised his glass like he was making some grand announcement. “Here’s a toast to a long life friendshipโ€ฆ cheers!!”

“Cheers!” everyone echoed, knocking their glasses together.

One hour later, Sergio and Trevor were goneโ€”absolutely gone.

Trevor was slumped across the booth, dramatically humming some love song off-key, while Sergio argued with an empty bottle about how it โ€œdidnโ€™t pour more drink.โ€

Hades looked at them like they were stray animals he refused to claim.

“Guys,” he said, standing and adjusting his glasses, “I need to go. Dad called, said Mom wants to see me.”

Hyce nodded, the only one still remotely sober. “Sure, man. Be careful while driving.”

“Yeah.” Hades grabbed his jacket. “See you idiots later.”

Trevor lifted his head weakly. “Hadesโ€ฆ tell your mom I love herโ€””

“Go to sleep, Trevor,” Hades said, already walking away.

๐Ÿ”Š โ€œFlight 6A2 from Osaka has arrived. Passengers may now proceed to the baggage claim.โ€

Bluey stepped through the automatic doors, dragging her suitcase behind her. For a moment, the airport noise softenedโ€”heads actually turned.

Three years had done more than change her.

She wasnโ€™t just beautiful now. She was sexier and even hotter than boiling point.

She was dangerously breathtakingโ€”the type that made strangers look twice and still feel it wasnโ€™t enough.

Outside, a sleek black car was already waiting. The driver quickly took her suitcase and placed it into the trunk.

Bluey slipped into the driver sear, the door shutting with a quiet thud as she pulled away from the airport.

The city faded behind her, replaced by long stretches of quiet highway. The route leading to the Prestige Villa was always lonelyโ€”endless trees, empty road, the wind brushing against the windows.

Thenโ€”

Thud.
The car jerked violently.

“What the hell?” Bluey muttered, sitting forward.

Another sputter, louder this time, and the car slowly rolled to a stop on the shoulder of the deserted highway..

Bluey exhaled, annoyed.

โ€œPerfect. First day back and my stupid car wants to act up.โ€

She pushed the door open and stepped out onto the empty road, her hair whipping around her face as she glanced at the smoke faintly rising from the hood.

Bluey tried to call Trevor, but the screen only flashed No Signal.

She groaned and lowered the phone. โ€œSeriously? Now?โ€

A distant engine hummed. She looked up.
A car rolled toward her along the empty stretch of highway before pulling to a slow halt right in front of her broken-down vehicle.

Two guys stepped out.

โ€œPretty miss, what happened?โ€ Boy 1 asked, his eyes already doing a slow, shameless scan of her legs.

โ€œUmโ€ฆ my car broke down,โ€ she said, hugging her jacket tighter. โ€œCan you guys please give me a lift to the main city? Iโ€™ll pay if you charge me.โ€

โ€œNo need to pay, s+ร—y lady,โ€ Boy 2 said, licking his lips. โ€œYouโ€™re payment enough.โ€

Their eyes dropped again to her outfitโ€”a tiny mini skirt hugged at the waist with a belt, sneakers, and a white crop top under her leather jacket.

Too revealing for the middle of nowhere. She instantly regretted not wearing something longer.

Boy 1 stepped closer, smirking. โ€œDonโ€™t be shy. Weโ€™re friendly.โ€

โ€œBack off.โ€ Her voice shook but stayed firm. โ€œYou both better leave me alone.โ€

Boy 2 chuckled darkly. โ€œDonโ€™t resist. Itโ€™ll make things easier.โ€

He reached for her wrist.

She stepped back, resisting the urge to hit them.

Just then, the low growl of another engine approached. A sleek black car slowed as it neared the scene.

Inside, Hades narrowed his eyes.
โ€œโ€ฆAre they harassing that lady?โ€

He pulled over immediately.

The moment he stepped out, the air changedโ€”calm, cold, controlled danger. He walked toward them, glasses glinting, expression flat.

โ€œHey,โ€ Hades called, voice deep. โ€œWill you keep your hands off her?โ€

Boy 1 snorted. โ€œAnd if we donโ€™t?โ€

Hades didnโ€™t answer.

He simply grabbed Boy 1 by the collar and slammed him against the car door. Boy 2 lunged, but Hadesโ€™ fist met his jaw first.

A sharp kick to the ribs sent him stumbling back. Another punchโ€”clean, efficient, merciless.

Within seconds, both men scrambled away, tripping over themselves as they ran to their car and sped off in pure panic.

Bluey stood frozen.

Hades.

But not the guy she rememberedโ€”this was a man now. Taller, broader, sharp-jawed, hair slicked back, glasses framing his cold eyes.

And Godโ€ฆ he was handsome as ever.

Hades turned to her, breathing steady as if he hadnโ€™t just manhandled two grown men.

โ€œMiss,โ€ he asked quietly, โ€œ..are you okay?โ€

โ€œUmโ€ฆ yes I am. Thank you so much,โ€ Bluey said, offering a small, grateful smile.

Hades felt a strange feeling tightening in his chest. Wowโ€ฆ she was stunning, hot and for a moment, he couldnโ€™t focus on anything else.

Then he squinted, trying to place her face. โ€œHold onโ€ฆ you look familiar,โ€ he said, voice low, cautious.

Bluey straightened, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

โ€œIโ€™m Bluey, Trevorโ€™s sister,โ€ she said, calmly.

Hades blinked, a slow smile tugging at his lips.

โ€œYeahโ€ฆ youโ€™re even prettier in person,โ€ he admitted, and the words sounded almost foreign coming from him.

โ€œHuh?โ€ Bluey asked, eyebrows raised in surprise.

โ€œNothingโ€ฆ never mind,โ€ Hades murmured, clearing his throat. Then, his tone softened, more considerate.

โ€œI can give you a ride home.โ€

Bluey hesitated for a moment, then nodded. โ€œSure, Iโ€™ll just get my things.โ€ She reached for her suitcase, struggling slightly with the handle.

โ€œLet me help,โ€ Hades said, stepping forward.

He lifted the suitcase with ease, his hands brushing hers for a second that lingered longer than necessary.

They moved toward his car, the night air cool around them.

Bluey slid into the passenger seat, adjusting herself as she watched him close the door and get behind the wheel.

Hades started the engine, the low rumble filling the quiet night.

*

The drive was quiet, the kind of silence that felt thickโ€”charged.

Bluey sat with her cheek leaned against the window, watching the blur of trees and streetlights, but her mind was nowhere near the view.

Hades kept stealing glances at her. Quick ones. Careful ones. Ones he hoped she didnโ€™t notice.

But she did. Every single time.

โ€œTrevor didnโ€™t say anything about you coming homeโ€ฆ to Sweden,โ€ Hades finally said, his deep voice breaking the silence.

Bluey smiled faintly. โ€œMy return was supposed to be a surprise.โ€

He nodded, lips pressed into a line, glancing at her again.

Bluey turned her gaze from the window to him. And oh Godโ€ฆ seeing him up close, seeing how much he changedโ€”how broad his shoulders were now, the neat trim of his hair, and the tattoos stretching across his hand and forearm.

She wanted to hug him, to crawl right into his arms, to hold him like she didnโ€™t lose three years.

Hades cleared his throat. โ€œWeโ€™re here.โ€

โ€œOh.โ€ She blinked, snapping out of her thoughts. She got down quickly to hide her fluster.

Hades stepped out too, lifting her suitcase from the trunk with zero effort. He handed it to her gently.

โ€œThanks,โ€ she said softly.

โ€œSure.โ€

Bluey turned and started walking into the estate. Her heart was racingโ€”she could feel his eyes on her back.

Thenโ€”

โ€œBlueyโ€ฆโ€

She turned, suitcase wheels stopping.

Hades stood there, hands in his pockets, looking like he was fighting himself.
He still couldnโ€™t remember.

Not the way he once held her like she was fragile glass. Not the way he kissed her like she was the last person on Earth.

But Trevorโ€™s words lingered in his mindโ€”

โ€œMy sister? Trust me, you fell in love with her at first sight. You got so gagged. Even if you donโ€™t remember anything about her or your love story with her, when you meet her again, itโ€™ll hit you all over.”

“Youโ€™ll fall for her again. Trust me.โ€ Trevor said.

*

Hades swallowed. His heart was doing that annoying pounding thing again.

โ€œTomorrowโ€ฆ are you busy?โ€ He asked.

Bluey shook her head slowly. โ€œNo.โ€

โ€œUmโ€ฆ then can we hang out?โ€ His voice dipped, almost shy. โ€œI meanโ€ฆ just to get to know each other.โ€

Bluey stepped closer, eyes slightly narrowed.

โ€œAre you asking me out on a date? When we just met?โ€

Hades felt his throat tighten.

Damn.

Why was he nervous? Since when did he ever get nervous?

โ€œYeah,โ€ He forced out.

โ€œWhy?โ€ she asked, hands on her suitcase handle, leaning in just enough to make his brain go blank.

He froze.
Paused.
Thought.

Then, voice low, almost a whisper..

โ€œCause I….โ€ He paused.

She arched her brow.

โ€œI thinkโ€ฆ I like you, Bluey.โ€

Instantly, her face, her ears, her cheeks, even her neck…. flushed bright red. It worsened when he reached out and held her hands in his.

โ€œI want you…..Bluey.โ€Hades’ voice dropped to an insanely low pitch.
