Stacy’s two hands flew up, fingers spread like she’s giving objections.

She ain’t moving, ain’t touching him, but his tongue is already touching her throat.

His hot breaths are already soaking her up in the face.

Her eyes kept growing bigger.

Her fingers refused to fold.

This ain’t the first time he kissed her, but it still felt new, still felt foreign.

His teeth tightened slightly around her bottom lip. He gave her a slight bite.

Her gasp was treacherously loud, and her fingers finally folded, both landing on his shoulders.

But she still wasn’t reciprocating.

Her eyes are blinking now, and her fingers on his shoulders are paused like they’ve been gummed there.

His second hand joined the first one on the curve of her tiny waist, both circling to meet at the center.

He roughly pulled her close even when there’s no existing space between them.

Her feet went up.

She stood on her toes, and the arms on his shoulders crawled slowly to his neck, wrapping over there.

She opened up completely, leaving herself wide open and shutting her eyes tightly.

She kissed back gently.

She’s not able to give as much as he’s taking cos she couldn’t match his pace, but she still tried, clinging between his heavy breaths and manly heaves.

He took control completely, so right now—her whole lips is in his mouth, mashing as he kissed her breathless.

Her toes are shaking inside her flops, but her arms around his neck kept locking like he’s her stronghold.

His thumb pressed her neck, and her air got restricted, amidst dirty desires, thick need and something else that’s so hard to pinpoint.

What’s going on?

Seriously, what’s happening?

Brain, what’s occuring?

She was finally close to matching his pace, but he pulled away, letting go of her lips.

He moved down her neck, shoved his face into the crook and planted kisses on the spotless skin, sniffling her in like his aphrodisiac and kissing again…

Her body flared, and fear kicked in as her breaths poured out fast and reckless. She hyperventilated.

“Cove,” her small voice came up, but his face stayed buried in her neck, lips working her skin.

“I need to…pee….” She lied breathlessly.

He didn’t stop instantly.

It took one more second after that statement before his head came up.

He’s sweating slightly now, and the v-neck of his hospital wear has pulled down more than it was.

Now she’s seeing the second tattoed word.

“Quod volo…”

That was all she could read before Cove himself pulled down the v-neck completely, baring the dark glaring collarbone tattoo.

Her mouth opened.

“Meum est.” She whispered the rest, her eyes going back up to meet his own.

“What I Want Is Mine.” She translated slowly, the ward feeling cold.

Maybe cos of the dead criminal on the floor, or cos of Cove himself.

His eyes are still on her lower lip, staring at the bite he gave to it.

It’s red on that spot, and she doesn’t know, but there’s a hickey on her neck, too. He left them intentionally.

His lips parted, slow and deliberate.

Stacy’s eyes won’t leave him.

She’s obviously expecting explanation on his tattoo meaning.

But he instead turned away from her and groaned, touching his tummy.

“What’s wrong!” Stacy quickly held him.

He released himself from her grip and went to the bed.

He sat and lifted the shirt from his stomach, revealing his carefully plastered stitch.

Thankfully, it’s not open, so the plaster is still clean.

The pain he felt just now must be as a result of the inner response.

He looked up, his eyes catching the little doll by the wall.

She’s still there, just there.

“You seem like you can actually take care of yourself. I’ll leave now, and you should explain to the hospital how you stabbed the man to death with a needle for self-defense.” She said, picking her mace bottle from the floor.

She went for the door.

“Don’t touch the door,” he warned, gritting, but what wasn’t enough to make her stop her stroll.

“Stacy!” He snapped.

She opened the door anyways, but before she could step out, he was already with her.

He shut the door back, then pulled her roughly by the wrist.

“Let go!” She pinched his veiny arm, but that’s like beating a tree.

He dragged her up to the bed where he pushed her to the mattress.

He knew she’d try to stand, so he held her knees together with his hands, so she could only wriggle.

“I was asking what’s wrong when you suddenly groaned, but all you could do was shake me off like a stranger? And I know what your issue is. You think me seeing the part of you that feels pain will tarnish your godlike, egoistic image, but I don’t really care, we’re all humans anyway even though you’re very sick mentally.”

“I was worried all night and I couldn’t even sleep cos I thought the doctors here might not do your stitch well and this morning I had to rush over to check on you, and the first thing you do is kiss me after killing the killer doctor who—”

Cove smiled dryly, and she stopped talking, still so serious.

“You hate it? The kiss?” He muttered, steadying his hold on her knees.

He caressed her laps.

“Nutjob, I saved your life” she muttered back.

“If you didn’t come, I’d still kill this fool,” he replied, looking at the dead man on the floor.

“What do you mean?” She blinked.

“I woke up since 3am, I only remained down cos I knew the sixth one would still come, so I knew when you come in and I knew when you began struggling with him. Propofol…. sodium chloride?” His voice went low.

Stacy went silent .

He let go of her knees and stood.

Matteo entered immediately.

Seeing the dead body on the floor, he gasped, holding his chest.

“What is this!”

“A dead body,” Cove muttered nonchalantly, sitting beside Stacy.

Stacy stood.

“He’s the sixth member of the attackers last night. He came to inject him with SC, acting like a doctor, but I caught him. Cove happened to wake up and they engaged in a scuffle before he was able to inject him instead, so yeah, he’s dead.” She explained clearly.

“But who are they? Why are they after Covey? What’s going on?” Matteo asked fearfully.

Stacy looked at Cove, expecting an answer, but he just stood by the window of the ward.

No answer.

The hospital management were contacted, and the body was cleared.

It’s all recorded in the ward camera footage, so both Cove and Stacy only had to answer few questions with the cops before they left.

Matteo received a call and left the ward, so once again, it’s just Stacy and Cove in the ward.

He’s still standing by the window despite the doctor’s instructions to sit.

“Who’s HER?” Stacy asked. “I heard you saying he should go wait in hell and you’ll send HER to him. Is HER the person who sent them? What blood feud do you both have to the point of sending killers after you?”

“If I tell you even a bit, she’ll start coming after you too. I’m enjoying the game alone. Involving you would ruin the fun.” He replied, his back still on her.

“Would ruin the fun? Or you’re worried I’ll get hurt?” She replied.

That made him turn, so fast.

“I’m not even worried about myself, so don’t insert yourself into that category. Worry?” He smirked.

“Liar,” she muttered.

And this is when he came back to her. She stood her group till he arrived and went his figure to her level.

“She definitely has spies around this city who’re working for her, and the six she sent this time are only just the beginning. More will still come, and even if your dad hires the whole CIA company for you, you still won’t be safe. Leave it!” He spat.

“Did you forget my father is the richest man? I’ll be fine,” she muttered.

“The more I hear that, the funnier it gets. Richest?” He meaningfully smirked.

“What do you mean?” She frowned.

“I won’t sit you down and tell you about who the SHE is. I hate talking, but you’re hell-bent on breaking my limits. Know your place.” He groaned.

“You’re not scared of this person, it shows in your eyes that you don’t even fear anybody, so why aren’t you telling me?” She said.

“And you are?” He demanded, looking pissed already.

“I can’t believe you’re saying this after kissing me like that,” she muttered.

“Is this like trade by barter? I kissed you, and now you’re pissing me the hell off. People kiss, now don’t take it personal. And you aren’t the first one I fed too. I fed a cat once… You’re pushing this button annoyingly.”

“I was wondering where you kept your sharp tongue and obnoxious attitude since you woke up, and here it is. I shouldn’t have come here at all.” She said and stepped back.

Then she rushed out.

Matteo rushed inside.

He has been by the door, listening.

“You damn crap boy! You fed a cat? You hate cats! No…you hate animals in general and that’s why you don’t eat their products. You fed her only, so why saying you once fed a cat?”

Matteo hit his arm.

Cove didn’t reply, he just kept staring out of the window.

Matteo sighed.

“You can’t continue like this. You should really find a way to get rid of your Avoidant nature. Anytime someone tries to get close, you hurt them to make them stay away. You did that to all the street guys, and that’s why they stay away from you. You did it to Dorian and you both turned enemies. Now Stacy is next? You’ll grow old alone!”

“You and Trevor have to be extra careful. I’m not in the mood to bury anyone.” Cove replied off topic, jaws tightening.

“Now,” Matteo muttered. “Who’s HER? The one who sent killers to you?”

“She’s someone you don’t wanna cross,” Cove faced him slowly.

Matteo frowned, but knowing Cove, he’ll keep talking in parables, so he decided to give up on questioning.

“How did Stacy know the injection wasn’t propofol but sodium chloride?” He asked.

“Her mum was a chemist, owmed a chemical industry. She probably learnt one or two.” Cove shrugged.

“She learnt from her mum? The mum died several years ago and it’s still in her head? Meaning she’s got retentive memory, so why is she not doing well in school?” Matteo blinked.

“She’s too lazy to study,” Cove replied.

Matteo smiled.

“It’s expected, she’s a spoilt heiress, but I thought you wanted to give her tutorials the other time.”

“Close her discussion chapter,” Cove frowned hard.

“As if you’ll stay still if she hooks up with Dorian,” Matteo scoffed.

“She’s not a hooker, watch your mouth Matteo.” Cove glared, his eyes glinting like medieval swords.

Matteo cleared his throat.

Trinidad and Kane entered, and they both smiled immediately they saw him up on his feet.

“Where’s Trevor?” Matteo asked.

“I told him to remain in school since he has a test this morning. He’ll come see Ice prince at noon.” Trinidad replied.

“Who says I’m staying here till noon?” Cove’s brows arched.

“Hello, captain America, you got nine stitches last night. Naturally, you need rest.” Trinidad rolled eyes.

“I’ve been sedated since last night, I woke up at 3, meaning I slept for more than six hours, if that’s not stupidity.” Cove complained.

“Sleeping for six hours is stupidity?” Kane grinned. “The more I get to know you, the weirder you get.”

“I heard what happened from the nurses. Stacy was even here. I thought I told the nurse to not let her in?” Trinidad said.

“She’s the reason the killer was caught, so I guess we should be thankful to her,” Kane commented.

“So who are the men? Who sent them? Or is that also under the list of things you can’t tell anyone?” Trinidad asked.

“Don’t bother asking, he won’t even tell me,” Matteo said.

“You’re one mighty ball of mystery, Pyro.” Kane shook his head.

Cove called the doctors for discharge, saying he’ll heal completely at home.

The hospital uniform is the first thing he took off.

He dislikes the fabric.

In three more minutes, he’s back in his baggy jean and jacket on ash singlet.

He’s now wearing his boots.

“Today is lecture-free so you don’t have to go to campus. It’s the last practice for tommorow football match. Also, today is the rehearsal for the ice skating. Skaters are sporting tomorrow too.” Trinidad said.

Cove looked up.

“The school claimed they wanna know the overall best game between F-ball and skating. They’re gonna take the winner into The Hall of Fame. Now it’s not only about winning in your team alone, it’s also about how many students each game can pull as crowd.” Kane said.

“Dorian got paired with Stacy, so he’s definitely on top of the moon now,” Trinidad sighed.

A tweak shook Cove’s lashes.

He finished tying his boot lace, pulling the last tying step too hard.

Kane noticed and smiled discreetly.

[Young Mansion]

Scott expected Kane home throughout last night, but he didn’t even see a shadow, so he closed his mind off Kane completely and just decided to dress up alone and go for his last practice today.

He’s in his room, buttoning up his shirt when he heard footsteps behind himself, and he quickly whipped around.

Silas is right there behind him, and he didn’t allow a word out of Scott’s mouth before he got a hold of his neck, squeezing hard.

Scott grunted, struggling to get his father off himself, but Silas did worse by slamming his son’s back on the closet door, nearly breaking his backbone to two.

Scott fell, coughing and panting high.

“You’ve been going astray these days, and I can’t help but think you need to be set straight,” Silas sighed, squatting in front of his son.

He looks like a cheating abusive husband in a county series with his glasses resting on his nose.

Scott continued coughing.

“Kissing Kane in school?” Silas grinned. “You seem to be forgetting that he’s Owen’s son, and I’ll be getting married to Owen next month,, do you need a reminder?”

Scott looked up, still panting and caressing his red neck.

“When you both started that madness, I thought of overlooking it and give you space to come back to your senses, but that’s obviously never gonna happen. You must miss your punishments…the same one your wretched mother suffered from me till she died like she deserved!” Silas laughed at his face.

Angrily, Scott leapt at him, punching him straight in the face.

Silas fell flat, and Scott came over him, hands on his neck.

He began choking him.

Silas stayed still.

His glasses has fallen off, now lying somewhere around.

He grunted in pains as Scott’s choking climbed up to the next level.

Scott kept pressing, imagining his mother’s face in his head…

Thinking of everything his mother went through…

He pressed harder.

Silas intentionally allowed him to dominate, till Owen barged in.

“Scott!!” She gasped, seeing son choking the father. “Scott!!!”

She tried to tear him away from Silas, but Scott was too adamant.

Silas’ eyes are already closing.

“Scott!!” Owen kicked him.

Scott fell away from Silas, and now it’s Silas turn to start coughing.

“Silas!” Owen went down beside him. “Oh my gawd!” She gasped, seeing his brutally red neck.

She faced Scott.

“Were you gonna kill him? Just the way your dead mother tried to kill him? Now I understand you’re mad like your mother, we should send you to the psychiatric hospital too!”

Scott wanted to talk, but then he saw Silas’ face.

Silas is smiling sickly. He’s enjoying this—making him the villain just the way he made his mother the villain and painted himself the best unrivaled husband alive.

“I’ll kill you, with my own hands… I’ll kill you!!!” He yelled, going for him.

And this is when Kane entered.

He blocked Scott, but Scott still tried to push through obstinately, body tense with anger that needs to be let out.

“Scott!” Kane cautioned.

Merely hearing his voice, Scott’s hard bones lessened.

He looked at him, breathing out as if a hitch got lifted from his air.

“Kane,”

Kane saw his red neck, but when he looked back and saw Silas’ redder neck, his eyes darkened.

“Let’s go,” he pulled Scott by the wrist, and Scott followed.

Silas pushed Owen off and stood by himself, picking his glasses.

He was grinning as he walked out of the room with his hands pocketed.

Owen followed, limping on her foot.

[Elite2 Hotel]

When Cove arrived with Matteo straight from the hospital, Matteo gasped out, blinking.

They’re just coming out of Matteo’s old car, and Matteo couldn’t even move away from the car.

His eyes stayed fixated on the otherworldly hotel skyscraper.

Elite is the most luxurious hotel in America with the main branches here in Los Angeles.

Elite1 and Elite2.

There are over 20 Elites, but 3rd and above are scattered around the other cities are states of America.

“Are you gonna keep standing there?” Cove’s voice came from the front, and Matteo gasped again, moving forward.

“What are you doing? Do you know how much it costs to stay in any of the Elite hotels per night? Millions! And you’re saying we’ll be staying here for a month?”

“Would you rather go stay under a bridge?” Cove glared, his lips still partially dry.

He held his tummy with his left hand as if guiding the stitch.

“Now I’m starting to get really scared,” Matteo shook his head. “Days ago, you still gave me a million to rebuild the garage. A million! Now we’re gonna start staying in the most luxurious hotel in the country? You’re the same person who’s being hunted by strange killers and you kept talking about HER. Who’s HER? You won’t tell me.”

“I’m not daft, so I knew from the start that you’re not from the Bronx, you don’t even look like someone from there. Are you royalty or something? Maybe you ran away from home cos people are after your life?”

At this point, Cove entered the hotel without replying him.

“Covey!” Matteo rushed after him.

“Matteo!” Trevor’s voice came from outside, and Matteo looked back to see the young boy getting down from the a taxi in his school uniform.

“You have a test, don’t you?” Matteo said, surprised.

Trevor joined him with a run.

“My teacher postponed it cos I told him my brother is sick.” He said.

“Who’s sick?” Cove asked from the front, and Trevor smiled, rushing to him.

“I knew you wouldn’t last few hours on that bed! You’re indeed a Wizard. Who’d know you’re the same person who got stabbed yesterday? You even insisted on getting discharged? Are you metal? I need to start working out like you and grow some muscles!” He happily said.

“You talk too much,” Cove muttered, giving him less attention.

His thought is partly on the pairing he heard about from Trinidad.

Stacy and Dorian on the ice?

Skating?

The imagination made him smirk, and his jaws grinded habitually.

Trevor was wowing with Matteo, both behaving like local folks as they entered the hotel rotating doors.

Golden chandeliers, shinning black walls, velvet-draped polished staircases, gold and pearl-lined railings, insanely polished floors you can see your reflection as you walk. Black ceilings with detailed ornate constellations displaying around the surface.

And that’s to mention a few of the luxury.

It’s insanely vainglorious with the richly dark aesthetic.

Matteo even fell at a point, and Trevor had to help him up.

“Elite is really the best hotel in the world, look at it. Gazillions was spent on building this place, I swear.” He said in great awe.

“Why did we enter through the front door though? I thought they have an underground park?” Trevor wondered.

“You want us to enter their underground park with my old jalopy car? I bet the cars we’ll meet there will make me crawl in shame.” Matteo replied.

“True,” Trevor nodded.

Cove walked up to the concierge desk, and he received bows from the three respective ladies over there.

They wore blue uniforms.

“Three Ultra Elite Suites.” Cove said.

Their mouths widened.

They ran their eyes down his body, then back up to his face.

Ultra? It’s the most expensive package in this hotel, and him?

He’s getting three?

“For a month,” he added.

They blinked.

“A…a month? Three Ultra Suites?”

Even Matteo and Trevor exchanged shocked glances behind.

“I swear this crap boy is royalty, here’s the proof!” Matteo said.

“Three Suites? Meaning I’m gonna be having my own personal?” Trevor gasped. I better go open an IG account! The girls in my class are in trouble!”

“Are y’all retarded? You suddenly lost your wits?” Cove said, pissed when the concierges kept staring shockingly.

“Oh… sorry sir!” They snapped back. “Of course, three Ultra Suites for a month, that’ll be….1.2B.”

“I’m making a transfer,” Cove got his phone out.

“We only work by card payments, sir.” They quickly said.

Cove turned around immediately, signalling at Matteo and Trevor to let’s go.

“Sir! Sir!!” The concierges rushed after him quickly.

“We’ll just check you into your suites now, so when the Manager arrives at night, he’ll arrange how to process your transfer pay sir.” They quickly said, and that made him stop.

“You both go check in without me. I need to get to campus,” he told Trevor and Matteo.

“Campus with your stitched stomach? Are you kidding?” Matteo frowned.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea, Wizard.” Trevor said.

But Cove is already walking out of the lobby, and Matteo sighed.

“He doesn’t listen to anyone.”

“This way, sir.” The concierges pointed at the elevator.

Trevor and Matteo followed, both smiling with excitement as they entered the rich elevator that’d be taking them up to their floors.

[RIDE University, Stadium]

Scott looks like he regained his calmness as he came in with Kane right beside him.

They didn’t talk throughout the drive to campus, and Scott has been wondering why.

Initially, he was moving mad about his father, but now he has switched to worrying about why Kane isn’t talking to him.

Normally, Kane loves teasing, so why hasn’t he teased even once?

Immediately they entered the stadium, Scott grabbed his arm, and Kane faced him.

The passing footballers and cheerleaders began gossiping in whispers…

• The Young stepbrothers are at it again!

• I can bet it with you that Scott has sucked Kane’s dick already.

• Are you real? Scott is definitely the top! Have you seen his dick in the bathroom before? Machine gun!

• Yeah, so Kane has sucked Scott’s dîck? He’s his junior for fûcks sake (laughter)

• Heard Kane once ran from school for one year, so he’s behind cos of that. Normally, he should be in second year too.

• This campus has to be the sickest place anyone could be. RIDE Psychiatric University.

Another round of laughter echoed down the bleachers.

But Scott didn’t care.

“You’ve been quiet, did I do something wrong?” He asked, his eyes searching Kane’s eyes.

“Why the fûck are you keeping the fact that your dad is an abuser?” Kane glared.

His fists are folded inside his leather jacket pockets.

“My dad ain’t an—”

“I’ll take you to the washroom and have you submerged in the sink bowl if you keep lying!” Kane snapped.

Scott’s face fell.

“Your mother died, your sister went lost last year, but still, he married my mother this year? And people are praising him, but your mother’s name is in the mud? Some fuckers are even saying your sister Lynn eloped with a man! But here you are, being a coward!” Kane snapped.

Scott swallowed saliva.

“I’ll make sure Cove will goalkeep for your team tomorrow like I promised, but after that, there’ll be nothing like Kane from your mouth again or I’ll kill you!” Kane threatened.

He was already storming out when Scott grabbed his jacket.

“After the march tommorow, I promise to tell you everything about the case. I’ll tell you everything in Las Vegas during the trip” He muttered.

Kane didn’t say a thing.

Scott let go of the jacket, and Kane walked out.

Scott stayed there, like he’s drowning, till Trinidad and Max joined him.

They’re both in their sports jersey already.

“What’s up Kane’s baby!” Trinidad teased, but Scott isn’t even in the mood to vibe.

“Keep the romance blossoming,” Max scoffed. “We’re all here to watch.”

Scott faced them.

“We’re going to talk to the Chancellor for Tania remember? Let’s go before the remaining team members will come” Trinidad said.

Scott didn’t say anything.

He just led the way.

[Ice Skaters Wardrobe Suite]

Stacy is in front of the mirror, eyes very wide when she saw the painting on her neck.

A hickey?

The lip bite isn’t enough, but a hickey??

When she got home earlier, the girls were gone, so she had dressed up for school hurriedly.

She didn’t even wear makeup, so she didn’t look in the mirror before coming.

She didn’t wanna miss the start of the rehearsal.

Each pair will do their rehearsal before they’ll skate for the coaches to see and make corrections later.

She’s the first one to get to school in the Glitz, so she screamed freely, rubbing the hickey with her fingers as if that’d make it wipe off.

After kissing her, giving her a hickey and a lip bite, he asked who she was?

He said he fed a cat before her?

She expected anything from his sharp mouth, but this one still hurts somehow and it’s strange.

His words hit deeper than they should. Same with when he called her a dullard and she had to start studying because of it.

But he’s too twisted she doesn’t even what to categorize him as.

He can’t be human.

He can’t have a heart.

She shook her head. She has to cover this hickey with makeup to avoid suspicions from the girls.

She grabbed her makeup bag and unzipped it, but that was when the girls entered.

She gasped.

“Where did you go so early in the morning? Bîtch, you left us in your bed!” Kehlani said.

“Oh my gawd is that an hickey on your neck?” Tasha gasped.

Stacy cussed herself inwardly.

“Did you go to Dorian’s this morning?” Tania smiled. “You both stay in the same estate, it makes sense. So…did he kiss you again?”

“Stop asking about it, please…” Stacy covered her ears with her palms.

“So why am I just hearing about Elmira’s crime of coming to your closet to steal!” Kehlani said.

Stacy gasped.

“I was gonna tell y’all, trust me but—”

“But what? Are we keeping small secrets now?” Tania interrupted. “Her dad came with her to your house for a visit and she stole your dress? We should be the first people you’d tell! I’d tear her face off!”

Stacy felt tired.

Elmira didn’t come to her house with her nonexistent CEO father.

Elmira is the daughter of her housekeeper.

It’s hightime she came clean, so she cleared her throat.

“Guys, actually—”

And that was interrupted by the entry of the other girl skaters who’re chatting loudly.

The HURRY alarm sounded around the building, and the girls started putting on their skating stuffs.

Tania left for the stadium immediately.

Stacy’s dress is pin-under like a bikini, just that she wore pink blinging leggings under it.

She tied her hair up perfectly in a bun and picked her shoes, leaving for the rink with Tasha and Kehlani.

It’s already full of their co members.

Each began looking for their partners.

It didn’t take long before Tasha found Remo. They started rehearsing immediately, arms over their bodies.

They didn’t even share a glance.

It’s professionalism over familiarity.

The rink is wide enough for everybody.

Kehlani found Frank too, and they got on the ice next.

No words.

Roxy and Kane climbed the ice next.

Elmira is with a unpopular boy.

Stacy was already wondering if Dorian is here cos she has been searching for some minutes now.

Her skating shoes fell from her when someone nudged her from behind.

She turned, and her eyes widened when she saw Kaylee.

THE Kaylee Wesley?

Dorian’s mother?

She stood there like she controlled the air everyone breathed, her red dress hugging her perfect figure, hair curled to fall on a shoulder, and a half fur coat is on her shoulder. Her heels are moderately tall, makeup flashy like everything about her.

Now everyone has stopped skating and faced her, staring amusedly.

• Kaylee Wesley?

• My gawd! She’s murderously gorgeous!

• I know, I know.

• Her pointed nose! She definitely had a nose job!

• The fashion sense! She could pass as Stacy’s mum!

• Now don’t talk like Dorian isn’t killing fashion too. Stacy might be the best fashionable female but Dorian dominates the male category.

• Then they should date already!

Elmira shifted close to Roxy with a mischievous smile.

“Look at her acting all tall and mighty like Remo’s mouth wasn’t between her legs yesterday,” She whispered.

“People can pretend, it’s sick to watch.” Roxy grinned.

“Hey, your slut is here,” Frank whispered close to Remo.

Remo’s eyes are on Kaylee, so he didn’t bother replying.

Kaylee’s eyes met him, and she looked away professionally like he’s nothing.

She faced Stacy.

“A talk with me?” She smiled sweetly.

Stacy followed her out of the rink in confusion, and they met Angela outside. Angela stayed behind, frowning while they talked.

“First time I’m seeing you very up close, and gawd… you’re beautiful, and your waistline is perfectly carved. Why aren’t you modelling like Rian!” She smiled again.

“Why…are you here, ma?” Stacy asked straight to point.

“I want you for my son, so I won’t cut through corners. I know we’re both busy people.” Kaylee said.

Stacy blinked, her bare face looking so different—babyish.

It’s the first time she’s not wearing makeup, so the delicate features she hides with makeup are all out.

“I and Dorian are friends,” she said respectfully.

“More than friends won’t hurt anyone, my dear.” Kaylee touched her shoulder gently.

Behind them, Angela cringed.

Stacy looked at the hand on her shoulder, then at Kaylee.

“You’re busy, so I’ll give you my business card. I’m inviting you to dinner when you return from your Las Vegas trio next week.” Kaylee said, looking back at Angela.

Angela handed her an exclusive card which she gave to Stacy.

Slowly, Stacy took it.

“I’ll see your beautiful face next week, Stacy.” Kaylee smiled brighter, signalling at Angela.

Angela led her out of the place.

Stacy kept standing there, staring at the card on her palm till it blurred.

“Stace!” Dorian appeared, and she turned, folding her palm on the card she’s holding.

“Heard my mum took you, are you ok? Did she say anything upsetting? Where she?” He asked breathlessly.

“Calm down,” she frowned. “She didn’t eat me. She talked about girl stuffs, so you don’t have to know, and why did you come late?”

“I’m so sorry, tomorrow is my single release, and it’s the first release in a year so I was busy making sure everything goes smooth.” He apologized quickly.

“Apology accepted,” she smiled.

He nearly returned the smile, but he saw the hickey on her neck and the bite mark on her lip.

“What are those—”

“Let’s go start rehearsal! We must win against footballers and enter the Hall of Fame tommorow!” She cut him off without planning to.

She led the way back into the rink, and Dorian followed moodily.

His mood is ruined.

From the cut corner of that frontal, Cove came out, steps silent, phone in right hand and left hand in his pocket.

He has been there, listening.

He heard it all, and he looks like a disaster waiting to happen as he remembered the words Kaylee said.

Want her for his son?

Oh this is the reason he burns people.

But the fact that Stacy took the card is more interesting.

How dare she?

He clicked his phone on, and Zendaya and her father’s movement records yesterday appeared on his screen

How they went the workshop…after they kidnapped Stacy.

He’s only waiting for Stacy herself to figure it out.

She’s smart enough to have it figured out. When she does, then he’s gonna proceed to make Zendaya and her father beg her.

Beg like a dog—a fuckin starved dog.

He swiped Zendaya and her father’s records away, and now he’s looking at Roxy’s information.

As his landlady, he hasn’t been paying so much attention to her, but she dared to pull that move?

Not like he liked the studio apartment. He hated it with his soul. That place isn’t even as big as his bathroom in the past, so it’s like an insult, but he stayed there to hide, and she threw him out at his lowest moment—just when his enemy discovered him.

Impressive.

Roxy has somehow entered his list, and it’s cool.

The Las Vegas trip might be her last trip alive.

He pocketed the phone when Trinidad appeared.

“You actually came to campus? Whoa, you amaze me, Ice prince.” She clapped, nodding.

“I hate nagging, a lot.” He muttered.

She scoffed, following him. “I went to the Chancellor’s office to speak to him. Tania is playing. Her new punishment will be community service for a month.”

“You should join her,” he said.

She hit his shoulder, and he groaned.

“Kane was saying he’s trying to make you goalkeep for our team tommorow, and I nearly laughed. I can’t picture you goalkeeping.” She said freely.

“I’m goalkeeping,” he replied.

“What!” She stopped.

He gave her a blank look and just walked off.

“He’s harder than mathematics, fûck. I haven’t told him I helped him clear the bodies of the five thugs he killed in front of the studio apartment.” She muttered, sighing.

“But he’s goalkeeping for the team?” She smiled, picking her phone.

“But his stitches. Darn, I don’t even know what’s happening in in head.” She muttered.

She nearly texted Scott about it, but Kane joined her, smiling.

“Oh I’m guessing you heard the conversation. He’s goalkeeping suddenly.” She smiled.

“Yeah, I’m too lucky,” Kane nodded, chuckling .

“He’s goalkeeping? Cove?” Scott appeared from the side.

Tania followed behind him.

“Cove? Goalkeeping?”

“Yes! It’s really happening,” Scott said, raising his fist energetically.

“Great news, I’m eagar to see what he can do.” Tania shrugged.

“I’m eager to see what you yourself can play tommorow.” Trinidad said with intentional scorn, and Tania moved closer.

Trinidad towered above her despite her own height.

“Don’t be too confident. I’m thankful you spoke to the Chancellor and I’m now in the game, but that won’t make me go easy on you.” She said.

“I like that,” Trinidad smiled, so full of malice and heated rivalry.

Scott got in their middle, holding the two of them by the shoulders.

“Let’s go practice,” He started dragging them away.

“Arse!” Trinidad cussed.

“Bastard!” Tania cussed too.

But Scott didn’t let them go. He looked back slowly at a point.

His eyes met with Kane’s who’s still there.

He smiled, but Kane didn’t return it. Instead, his gaze lingered on Scott’s arms that are on the girls shoulders….

Till Scott and the girls went out of sight completely.

He returned into the rink, strapped his shoes back on and joined Roxy.

“Where the fûck have you been! We can’t fûck things up tomorrow!” She glared poisonously.

Kane just tendered his hands, and she took it with a hiss, but he intentionally let go.

Roxy fell, hitting her head on the ice with a loud cry.

Kane smiled disturbingly.

Remo’s phone beeped, and he brought it out with an hand.

“You’re so not serious with this rehearsal it’s infuriating!” Tasha shouted.

“I’m still the king of ice skating in this campus. Even if I don’t rehearse, I’ll still ace it. I’m only here cos I wanna sync with you so stop barking.” Remo rolled eyes badly.

“You’re spitting on me, motherfucker,” Tasha glared.

Remo ignored her and checked his phone. As expected, it’s from Kaylee.

Saved as ‘Horny Widow’

Horny Widow: Tonight. Same Hotel. Same Time. All Night.

Remo smiled.

Frank and Kehlani are the second serious people on the ice. They’re so focused and in sync, majorly because Frank is currently high.

They align a lot.

Elmira is on a break with her partner. She’s sitting on the ice, watching Kehlani hatefully.

The fact that she aligns with Frank right now is even more annoying.

She hates her to hell.

She pulled out her phone, clicked on Kehlani’s XX videos and nudes.

She blurred Max’s face in everything.

She pasted them on the gist group, scheduling it for thirty minutes.

In thirty minutes, the videos and pictures will upload, and the campus with shatter.

Dorian and Stacy are the most aligned pairs on the ice.

They’re doing it effortlessly, and most of the others are stealing glances at them as their bodies shared moves fluidly, shoes smooth on the ice surface, fingers threading, slipping, communicating.

But Dorian’s mind is not entirely here. Most of the time, he stares at the deep hickey on her neck, and the bite on her lips.

Concentration is hard.

He’s barely holding on to life.

A guard rushed to him on the ice when they were about to finish that routine, and they had to pause.

He whispered into Dorian’s ears….

“It has just been found out that the tyre prints behind the workshop belongs to a Maserati. Zendaya’s father drives a Maserati, sir.”

Dorian’s fists clenched.

“Where’s Mr. Brown right now?”

“He’s on his way to Outright Medias to see Mr. Montana.” The guard said.

“I’ll be right back, Stace. I’ll come back before the coaches arrive for the main rehearsal.” Dorian rushed and left the rink with the guard.

Stacy stopped, breathing hard and wondering what rattled him this much for him to leave suddenly.

But as she wondered, she remembered the hickey on her neck!

She didn’t later cover it with makeup!

What the….

She ran back into the wardrobe suite with wide eyes, getting in front of the mirror.

The hickey glared at her.

Even the bite on her lip.

“F+k it!” She cussed, wanting to get her makeup bag, but it’s nowhere to be found at all.

She rummaged through the wardrobe.

“Looking for this?” A deep bass voice made her look up sharply.

Cove stood by the inner wall of the wardrobe, holding up the empty unzipped makeup bag.

There’s no makeup inside.

He held it with only his index finger inside the big hole in the zipper.

“What are you doing in a females wardrobe suite? And what did you do to my makeup!” She hurried to him, eyes wider than before.

“You really thought you could wipe off my masterpiece from your skin? You’ll carry that hickey to your grave, and each time it naturally wipes off, I’ll create another one.” He said, cold and dry at a time.

Now she’s finally with him. He pulled Kaylee’s card out of her small leggings pocket, and before she knew it, he broke it into three.

“Cove!!” She yelled, stunned, but his hands grabbed her small shoulders suddenly.

One hard move after the other.

He pushed her into her own personal wardrobe.

It’s tight inside, but he doesn’t care as he had to bend his head to fit in.

She marched his boot, but he pressed her shoulder. She whimpered.

She could feel his breaths everywhere in the small wardrobe. She could feel his scent,…the vetiver made her held her breaths.

She felt cocooned.

“Taking that card is a sin on it’s own. You will not go to Dorian’s Mansion, and you will not skate with Dorian tommorow. It’s very easy to bury people you know.” He whispered.

“What are you gonna do if I skate with him?” She scoffed.

“You’re not gonna enter the Hall of Fame cos I won’t let you win with him. I’m gonna enter football and make them win. And secondly, I’m going to make you regret even climbing the ice!” He threatened.

“Madman, you’re the same person who said I was nothing earlier, and now I mustn’t skate with Dorian? You should be in a rehab you piece of irredeemable—”

Her words died.

He literally killed it when his lips pressed madly on hers.

The small wardrobe door closed.

But it only closed.

Someone is beside the wardrobe, soundlessly.

Zendaya.

She’s right beside the wardrobe, listening to the sound of the kiss.

Her head made a loud noise.

[Outright Medias]

Mr. Brown looks clean in his rich brown suit as he climbed out of his brown car, smiling at the colourful skyscraper.

Today is finally the day.

He’s not letting it slip by.

Today, his chase after Albert will start, and in a months time, he’s gonna achieve his aim of destroying him.

The journey of a thousand miles starts with a step after all.

His guards escorted him inside.

He has booked an appointment before now. He didn’t need checks, he was led into Albert’s spacious, organized office.

When he entered, Albert is on his feet, eyes wide.

Coincidentally, he has just received details about the gun.

The investigation is complete, and it has been found out that the gun is registered under Mr. Brown’s name.

And now that Mr. Brown is coming in?

“It’s been a while, Albert.” The fat man smiled brightly, extending an hand even when he hasn’t gotten to Albert.

“A while in hell you motherfucker!!!” Albert roared, bolting to him.

Mr. Brown stopped on his tracks, unplanned shock settling on his face.

He surely didn’t expect this.

Albert jumped, but before he could land on him, Dorian entered the office, furious as a crazie.

He pounced on Mr. Brown, and the fat man fell.

Not even his guards could save him from Dorian cos right now, the oceanic shade in his eyes is darker again, and he looks different.

All he could visualize is the hickey on Stacy’s neck and the bite on her lip.

He got angrier, throwing blazing, death punches at Mr. Brown.

Left, right, center.

They were killing.

Mr. Brown bled.

Mouth, nose, face.

His blood wet Dorian’s fist, but Dorian is too far gone to look at that.

The sounds of his incessant punching filled the office.

Heavy. Brutal.

Mr. Brown breathed blood till he couldn’t breathe anymore.

He gagged, gasping for breaths, but Dorian’s punches were nonstop.

Albert called his guards in, but they couldn’t hold him away.

“Dorian!” Albert himself pulled him.

But in blind anger, Dorian threw a violent punch back at Albert’s face.

Blood spilled from Albert’s nose, and he went down flat, fainting.

TBC.
