Students resumed eating their dinner, the buzz of chatter slowly returning after the brief tension that had filled the hall.
โSeriously, why did I even come here?โ Hugo muttered under his breath, shoving his hands into his pockets as he walked out of the dining hall.
Dawnโs eyes followed him the entire time, her food completely untouched.
โGirl, stop. Stop it already, heโs not worth it,โ Desiree said, shaking her head with a sigh.
โSee you guys later,โ Dawn said abruptly, standing up just as Hugo disappeared through the doors.
โThat girlโฆ she never listens to me.โDesiree groaned, watching her rush after him.
โPeople in love never listen.โSergio smirked slightly, stabbing a piece of steak with his fork.
Desiree turned her head toward him with a teasing look. โLike you.โ
Sergio froze for a second before looking up โ just in time to see Hyce walking past their table, a chef following behind him with a cart of food. Their eyes met, the air instantly shifting between them.
Sergio gave him a playful wink, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
Hyce only rolled his eyes, muttering something under his breath before turning sharply and walking out of the hall.
Desiree raised a brow, watching the silent exchange.
โYou two will really look good together.โ Desiree mumbled.
โI’m glad you think positively yoo. Heโll come around soon,I know it.โ Sergio chuckled softly, gaze still fixed on the door Hyce had walked through.
Just as Hyce left, Gomez stormed into the dining hall, his jaw tight and eyes dark with fury.
โSergio!โ He barked, his voice echoing through the chatter of the students.
Sergio barely looked up from his plate, one brow arched lazily. โWhoโs that dog barking?โ
Before Sergio could react, Gomez was already at their table. He grabbed Sergio by the collar and yanked him up, his knuckles white with rage.
โWhat the f+k do you want from Hyce?!โ Gomez growled, his face inches from Sergioโs. โWhy are you all over him?โ
Sergio chuckled darkly, unfazed.
โAll over him? Please. Maybe youโre just jealous Iโm doing better at being what you failed to be.โ
โShut up.โ Gomezโs grip tightened, veins bulging on his arm.
โOh, come on, donโt act like you still have a claim on him.โ Sergio sneered, brushing off Gomezโs hand.
โYouโre past tense, man. Youโre the ex. Hyce moved on, and guess what?โ He leaned closer, smirking. โIโm going to make him fall for me. Iโll give him everything you couldnโt.โ
Gomezโs chest heaved, his fists clenching hard. โYou think this is some kind of game? Stay away from him, Sergio..!! I’m warning you.โ
โOr what? Youโll cry about it?โSergio tilted his head, mocking him.
โHyce is mine!โ Gomez roared, slamming his fist into the table.
The entire hall went silent, students staring in shock.
Sergio only smirked wider, leaning back casually.
โKeep dreaming, Mr ex-boyfriend. He stopped being yours the moment you fucked up by screwing a girl.โ
Gomezโs fist tightened. His eyes burned with the kind of anger that didnโt fade easily.
Desiree stood up quickly, stepping between them.
โBoth of you, stop it. Gomez can you just get out of here?”Desiree said.
Gomez glared at Sergio one last time before leaving.
“That bastard!”Sergio scoffed.

It hadnโt even been five minutes since Hugo returned to his dorm when the door slid open and Dawn stepped in without hesitationโshe knew his passcode by heart.
โHugo,โ She called softly, scanning the dim room for him.
He turned from the window, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.
โItโs the first day and you already canโt wait to see me?โ
โYou donโt know how much Iโve missed you, Hugo,โ She whispered, her voice trembling with want before she closed the distance and pressed her lips to his.
He didnโt kiss her back, not immediately. He just stood there, letting her pour all that desperate emotion into the kiss while he stayed still, his hands still shoved into his pockets.
When she was about to pull back, Hugoโs hand gripped the back of her neck, dragging her closer instead.
His lips crashed against hers with sudden force โ a deep, claiming kiss that stole her breath and left her trembling.
Dawn melted into him, her hands clutching his shirt, desperate and wanting. The taste of him made her dizzy, and when he finally broke the kiss, her lips were swollen and she could barely catch her breath.
โYou missed me that bad?โHe leaned closer, his voice low and rough against her ear.
She nodded, her pulse racing. His gaze burned down at her, a wicked smirk tugging at his lips.
โThen prove it,โ Hugo murmured, his tone dripping with challenge as he stepped back, watching her with dangerous intent.
She dropped to her knees and her hands flew to his belt as she unhooked it, yanking it down his legs and took out his c+k.
She let the tip slip into her mouth and she gave it a long tease before taking his entire length deep down her throat.
“F+k!”Hugo groaned pushing her head deeper to take more of his c+k.
She was gagging uncontrollably as he hit deeper into her throat and she held his thighs trying to push him off.
“Bi+ch!”Hugo pulled her hair backwards.
“Oh my God!!”She gasped for air.
Her hands flew to her shirt, fumbling to take it off, but Hugo stopped her. She looked up at him, confused and breathless.
โWhat? Donโt you miss me? Iโm so horny right now.โ Dawn groaned in frustration as he zipped his trousers back up.
โIโm not in the mood,โ Hugo said lazily, brushing past her toward the wine cellar.
Dawn frowned and followed, her feet padding across the marble floor until she wrapped her arms around his torso from behind.
โHugoโฆโ she murmured, resting her cheek against his back.
He let out a long sigh, prying her arms off him before turning to face her.
โWhat did I tell you, huh? This is just s+x, no feelings attached. Youโre only hurting yourself, Dawn.โ
โI donโt mind,โ She said softly, her lips trembling as she tried to smile. โAs long as I get to be with you always, thatโs enough for me.โ
Hugo stared at her for a moment, then exhaled and poured himself a drink. The ice clinked in the glass, echoing the tension in the air.
โIโm curious.โ Dawn said, stepping closer again. โAre you competing in the Acesโ upcoming tournament?โ
โNah. Itโs Morgan and Hades this year.โ
โWhat?โHer brows knitted.
โShe asked him cause she needed the points to level up and he agreed.โ
โIs Morgan okay?โ Dawn blinked, disbelief flashing across her face.
โWhy do you say that? Sheโs not weak,โ Hugo replied, smirking faintly as he swirled his drink.
โI know, butโฆ this is Hades weโre talking about. And he actually agreed?โ
โWell,โ Hugo said, taking a long sip.
โ…..thatโs their business. Iโm just gonna sit back, enjoy the show, and pretend like I donโt already know whoโs going to win.โ
โBut if she actually wins, you’re going to drop to top 5, you know that right?โ Dawn said.
โWhatever happens tomorrow, I’m 100% sure that I’m not going down to top 5 and that’s it.โHugo said, gulping his drink.

โ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ- ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ โ
Hades finally set Bluey down once they reached his suite in the Spades Dorm, though he didnโt let go of her hand for even a second.
His grip was firm, almost possessive, as if daring her to even think about running.
He pressed his thumb to the sleek black scanner beside the door. A soft beep followed, and the locks clicked open. With a gentle but unyielding tug, he pulled her inside.
Blueyโs eyes widened the moment she stepped in.
โThis place isโฆ massive,โ She breathed.
The suite looked nothing like a student dorm.
It was more like a luxury penthouse โ walls lined with dark marble, a panoramic glass window overlooking the academy grounds, and lights that shimmered with crystal reflections.
The air smelled faintly of alcohol and smoke and something else โ him.
She was still looking around, her eyes tracing every detail of the luxurious suite when she bumped into something solid.
Her breath hitched. She looked up slowly and froze.
Hades stood in front of her, that dangerous grin carved across his face, his black shirt clinging to his frame, tattoos peeking faintly from his collarbone.
โBluey, right?โ His voice was low, rough, and deep .
A shiver ran down her spine. She nodded quickly, eyes darting away from his intense stare.
โIt was you that night, wasnโt it?โ She murmured. โYou saved me from those thugs.โ
โHowโd you know it was me? I was wearing a mask that night.โHades tilted his head slightly, studying her face.
โUmโฆ your scent. You smell like lavender.โ Bluey bit her lip, her voice barely above a whisper.
Hades froze for a second, then his grin deepened โ sharp, amused, and undeniably intrigued.
โLavender, huh?โ He said, stepping a little closer. โGuess I made more of an impression than I thought.โ
The doorbell rang, echoing through the suiteโs wide, marble-floored space.
Hades turned his head slightly, then strode over to open the door. Loci stood there, pushing a small cart of food.
The moment he spotted Bluey standing awkwardly in the living room, his eyes widened.
โHey,โ He said cautiously.
Hades brushed past Loci, his presence filling the room like static.
โBe right back,โ He said to Bluey before heading upstairs, his heavy steps fading into silence.
As soon as he disappeared, Bluey hurried toward Loci, whispering urgently.
โGirl, what did you do?โ
โNothing! Iโve been with you guys all day,โ She said, her voice a nervous rush.
โThen why did he suddenly kidnap you?โ Loci hissed.
โKidnap?โ She blinked, confused. โIs thisโฆ kidnapping?โ
โWell, I canโt find a better word for it. Hades doesnโt bring anyone here without a dark reason, Bluey. Like ever.โLoci muttered, placing the plate of seared fish on the table.
Before she could reply, heavy footsteps echoed from the staircase. Lociโs eyes widened.
โBye,โ he whispered quickly, slipping out the door just as Hades appeared at the landing.
Hades descended the stairs and headed to the dining.
He pulled out a chair and Bluey looked at him. He arched his brows, and she quietly sat on it.
He sat opposite her and dished out food for her.
โEat,โ He said, and she flinched at his deep voice.
He arched his brow, watching her hesitate before she finally picked up the fork.
She began eating but then, set aside the fish in the food.
โYou donโt like fish?โ Hades asked.
โIโm allergicโฆ toโฆ seafood.โ Bluey murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
โNoted,โ Hades replied simply, his tone unreadable.
She started eating slowly, almost carefully, her eyes flickering up to him every few seconds.
Hades placed his elbows on the table, resting his chin on his clasped hands, his gaze fixed on her like a hunter watching his prey.
Bluey shifted in her seat, her pulse rising. She could feel his eyes on her, heavy, consumingโlike he could see right through her.
She bit her lips hard, trying to steady herself, and his eyes instantly fell to the small movement. His thumb brushed over his own lips, almost unconsciously.
He wondered how soft her lips would feel against his.
“How are you so pretty?” Hades said suddenly, his voice deep and ice cold.
Bluey flinched so hard her fork slipped from her hand and clattered against the plate.
He frowned, his expression darkening.
“The f+k you always doing that for?” He snapped, his voice sharp enough to make her tremble.
She looked down instantly, gripping her hands together.
“Look at me,” Hades said, but she didnโt move.
“Fucking look at me, Bluey!!” He yelled, louder this time.
Her head jerked up, tears spilling down her cheeks before she could stop them.
โWhat theโwhy are you even crying?โ He asked, his tone caught somewhere between confusion and frustration.
Bluey didnโt answer. She just kept crying, silent and shaky.
โAnswer me, God damnit!โ Hades barked again.
โYouโre scaring me,โ she whispered.
He froze.
โWhat do you mean Iโm scaring you?โ
โYour voiceโฆ itโs so scary, and you keep looking at me like that.โ She said between small sobs.
Hades leaned back in his chair, the anger on his face as replaced with shock.
How the hell did she even register in this school? If sheโs crying because of my voice, then I wonder if sheโs going to survive this place. Hades muttered, half to himself, half in disbelief.
โYouโre barely going to survive this school if youโre this weak.โHe scoffed and leaned back in his chair.
Bluey bit her lip hard, her hands trembling under the table. She didnโt look up, didnโt speakโjust stared at her plate.
Hades pushed his chair back, the legs scraping against the marble floor.
โYou can go back to your dorm when youโre done eating,โ He said flatly, grabbing his phone from the table.
Without another glance, he turned and walked toward the stairs, his footsteps echoing until the door to his room shut.
Bluey let out a long, shaky sigh, staring at the untouched food in front of her. The silence of the suite pressed in around her, heavy and cold.

โ ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ- ๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐จ๐ซ’๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ โ
Trevor leaned over the billiard table, lining up his shot while Morgan leaned lazily against the cue stick, her attention fixed on the next move.
The door opened and Juniper walked in, balancing a plate of fried chicken.
โAre you guys seeing whatโs happening in MIA?โ Juniper blurted, setting the plate down on the nearest table.
Morgan didnโt even look up.
โWhat now?โ Morgan asked, eyes following the rolling cue ball as it clicked against another.
โHades is attracted to that new player, 090. Bluey? I think thatโs her name.โJuniperโs voice carried a little excitement.
The cue ball missed the pocket. Morgan froze. Slowly, she straightened, her face hardening.
โWhoโs Bluey?โTrevor looked up, curious.
โThat pest my dadโs offering charity to. What about her?โMorgan gave a scoff.
Juniper smirked slightly, pleased to finally have their attention And to give out the full gist.
โApparently, during dinner, Hades stormed into the hall like a madman demanding for her. Then he carried her outโon his shoulder. In front of everyone, it was like…’uh….I’m obsessed and I can’t hide it’ kind of stuff.โ
โWait….Hades? Carried a girl out?.โTrevor paused, cue in hand, his brow lifting in surprise.
Morganโs grip on her cue tightened.
โHe what?โ She asked slowly, her tone calm but cold.
Juniper nodded. โEveryone saw it. It was crazy and the whole school’s talking about it. The girl looked terrified though.โ
โThat girl seriously doesnโt know her place.โ Morgan muttered, resting her cue stick against the table and folding her arms.
โShe has the audacity to talk to that boy when weโre enemies with him. “You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng” She seriously needs to learn where her loyalty lies before I actually ask my dad to kick her out.โ
โYou know damn well, once you’re in MIA, you’re not going anywhere unless you’re expelled, graduated or dead.”Juniper said.
Trevor leaned back against the table, watching her with mild amusement.
โWhy did Hades pick interest in her anyway?โ He asked.
Juniper popped a piece of chicken into her mouth, smirking.
โObviously another f+k toy. I mean, the other girls he used are….wellโdead. Sheโs only ruining her life getting involved with him.โ
โPathetic.โMorganโs jaw tightened.
Trevor tilted his head, eyes narrowing slightly.
โWhatever you plan to do, do it after the tournament. You need maximum focus right now.โ
โYeah, youโre right. Before I deal with her, Iโll focus on tomorrow. Hades is a tough one and a lot is on the line.โMorgan sighed but nodded.
โWhat do you think the games will be?โ Juniper leaned on the pool table, curiosity glinting in her eyes.
Trevor rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
โItโs probably not going to be gambling, so cards and chess are off the charts. You should be expecting a duel.โ
โA duel?โ Juniper blinked. โIsnโt that dangerous? Sure you can do it, Morgan? I hate to admit it, but that guyโs a beast.โ
Morgan smirked, confidence radiating through her every move. โI can handle it. Spot number four, here I come.โ
โYou sound too sure of yourself.โTrevor chuckled.
โI donโt plan to lose.โ She grabbed her jacket from the chair and headed toward the door.
. โWhere are you going?โJuniper asked.
Morganโs smirk deepened, her tone dripping with calculation.
โTo go to bed. And figure out how to find out what the gameโs going to be tomorrow.โ
โAnd I know exactly who to ask.โ She said, her eyes glinting coldly before walking away.
—-
Bluey stepped into the main dorm hallway of Spades, and the air shifted immediately. Conversations faltered, laughter died down, and the steady rhythm of chatter was replaced by low murmurs.
Every gaze followed her โ curious, judging, whispering. The echo of her slippers against the marble floor was the only sound that filled the silence.
She didnโt look left or right, just walked straight through the rows of students parting to make way for her.
Natalie was leaning against the wall outside with Zayne and Nia when she spotted her.
โGirl, what happened?โ Nia asked, pushing off the wall, worry clear in her tone.
Bluey didnโt answer. She brushed past them quietly, her eyes lowered as she reached for her dorm door.
The keys jingled softly before she unlocked it.
Without a word, she stepped inside and shut the door behind her.
When Natalie, Nia, and Zayne entered Blueyโs room, they found her sitting on the edge of her bed, her head slightly bowed, fingers fidgeting with the hem of her sleeve.
Her eyes were red-rimmed, the traces of tears still faintly visible.
โBlueyโฆโ Natalie said softly, stepping closer. โWhat happened in Hadesโ suite?โ
Bluey looked up slowly, her voice small.
โNothing really happened. He justโgave me dinner, and we talked a bit.โ She swallowed hard, trying to steady her tone.
โBut I think I pissed him off. He was kind of angry that I was crying.โ
โCrying? Why were you crying?โ Nia asked, moving to sit beside her.
Bluey stared down at her hands.
โI donโt know. I justโฆ felt overwhelmed. Everything was too much.โ She hesitated before whispering.
โAnd his voice when he spoke, it was scary. Like he wasnโt even trying to sound calm.โ Bluey added.
The room went silent for a moment.
“Are you for real? I won’t blame you though. His voice is kinda scary,” Nia said, crossing her arms.
“What else did he say?” Zayne asked, leaning forward.
“He… he called me pretty.” Bluey mumbled.
They all froze, exchanging uneasy glances.
“Um, Bluey. You might want to stay away from Hades,” Natalie said carefully.
“What… why?” Bluey frowned.
“If he’s interested in you in that kind of way, it’s not good. Especially if you start developing feelings for him.” Nia warned.
“Huh? Feelings? I donโt have feelings for him,” Bluey said quickly.
“You will eventually if you keep going close to him,” Nia muttered.
“Want to know what happened to the previous girls that were Hadesโ flings?” Natalie asked quietly.
“What?”Blueyโs eyes widened.
“They died,” Natalie said, her voice low. “All of them.”
Blueyโs eyes widened as her lips parted slightly.
โDied?โ She repeated in disbelief.
Nia nodded slowly, glancing at Zayne before lowering her voice.
โEvery single one of them. Some were found dead, dome disappeared, some commited suicide.โZayne said.
“But why is that?”Bluey asked.
“Cause they fell in love with him. Look, Hades is THE GUY. He’s so perfect up front that girls can’t resist his charms. He’ll make you fall deeply for him, use you, make you do what he wants and discard you like trash and move over to the next bitch.”Natalie said.
“And you won’t survive the heartbreak that will eventually lead to your death.”Nia completed.
โThatโs not funny.โBlueyโs breath hitched, her heartbeat quickening.
โDo we look like weโre joking?โ Natalie said, her tone flat.
โItโs not just rumors, Bluey. Hades isnโt the kind of guy you want attention from. Once he sets his eyes on someone, itโs like he owns them. And when he gets bored… it’s over.โ Nia trailed off, letting the silence speak for itself.
Natalie sighed and sat beside Bluey on the bed.
โI know you think he might be different with you at first, but trust me, thatโs what all of them thought too. He gives attention, they fall, and then it ends badly.โ
Bluey stared down at her hands, her fingers trembling. The image of Hadesโ piercing eyes flashed in her mind again, the way his voice had dropped low when he called her pretty.
It wasnโt soft. It was commanding. Possessive. Like a warning.
โI donโt understand him.โ She whispered. โHe was calm… but scary. Like he could be gentle one moment and dangerous the next.โ
โThatโs Hades for you.โ Zayne muttered. โHeโs not normal. Heโs the kind of guy you donโt figure out until itโs too late.โ
โBut he… didnโt hurt me, he actually saved me once.โBluey swallowed hard, her voice barely audible.
โIt doesn’t matter….!!โ Nia, Zayne and Natalie yelled at once.

โ ๐๐๐ฑ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ – ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐โ
Robert walked down the stairs, already dressed for work. His steps were calm but steady, the weight of another busy day on his shoulders.
He sat at the dining table just as Iris came out of the kitchen, three maids behind her carrying trays of food. She dismissed them after they set everything down, then walked over with a small smile.
โGood morning, darling,โ she said, leaning in to kiss him.
โMorning,โ he replied, kissing her cheek before taking his seat.
โYouโre leaving already?โ she asked, watching him pick up his coffee. โYou just came back yesterday, Robert. Donโt tell me youโre going to be busy all week again.โ
He gave her a faint smile. โYou know how it is, Iris. Meetings, briefings, paperworkโฆ it never ends.โ
โYou make it sound like Iโm competing with the whole country for your time.โShe sighed, folding her arms.
He chuckled softly, reaching for her hand. โYou know thatโs not true. Youโre the only one Iโd rather spend every minute with.โ
โThen spend this one with me,โ she said, half teasing, half serious.
Robert leaned in and kissed her again, slower this time. โIโll make it up to you when I get back.โ
โYou said that last week too.โ
โAnd I still mean it.โHe smiled.
โDora called me last night. Hades is participating in a tournament at the opening frat party at MIA,โ Iris said quietly as she poured coffee into Robertโs cup.
โAnd?โRobert looked up from his wristwatch.
โAnd?โ she echoed, setting the coffee pot down.
โNot like heโs going to lose, is he?โRobert gave a faint smirk.
โDarling, you know how much I worry about him,โ She said, her tone softening. โYou shouldnโt have let him study there in the first place.โ
โNot like we had a choice, do we? Besides, MIA made us stronger. Itโs not all roses, but the thorns are worth it.โ He leaned back in his chair.
โI know, but I just feel really down knowing Hades will go through everything we went throughโฆ or worse.โ Iris said, looking down at her cup.
โSighsโฆ Iโll be leaving now.โRobert exhaled and stood, fixing his cufflinks.
โJustโฆ try talking to him every now and then, please. You know he won’t tell me anything..โIris fixed his tie, her fingers lingering on his collar.
โIโll will,โ He said quietly. โI promise.โ
She followed him to the door, watching as the guards opened it for him. He turned back one last time, giving her that same reassuring smile.

Robert entered his office, the guards saluting as the heavy doors shut behind him. Anthony and Corazon were already seated, waiting.
The scent of polished wood and coffee lingered in the air as Robert set his briefcase down and straightened his tie.
โYouโre here early,โ Robert said, glancing at them with mild surprise. โI donโt remember having a scheduled meeting with you.โ He took his seat behind the mahogany desk, flipping open a folder.
Anthony leaned forward with a practiced smile.
โI know, Mr. President, but this couldnโt wait. Weโve been reviewing the progress on the Southline Development Project, and weโre requesting additional funding to accelerate construction.โ Anthony said.
Corazon nodded in agreement, her tone smooth and formal. โIf weโre able to secure the new funds, we could complete the main infrastructures ahead of the annual conference. It would reflect positively on your administration.โ
โI just recently approved a substantial fund for that same project not even two months ago. And from the last report I received, it isnโt anywhere near completion yet.โRobert tapped his pen on the desk, eyes narrowing slightly.
Anthony shifted in his seat, attempting a calm laugh. โYes, but the cost projections changed. Labor, materials, andโโ
Robert raised a hand to silence him.
โIโm aware of the cost changes. Iโm also aware that your team hasnโt finished phase two of the initial blueprint.โ He looked from Anthony to Corazon.
โYou donโt ask for more when you havenโt justified the use of what was already given.โ
Corazon clasped her hands neatly. โMr. President, with due respect, the delay wasnโt due to mismanagement. Weโve had unforeseen circumstancesโweather issues, supplier shortagesโโ
โThen focus on resolving those,โ Robert interrupted firmly.
“But…”
โMy no means no. Until I see tangible progress from the funds already allocated, there will be no additional approvals.โ Rover cut Corazon off.
โOf course. Typical Robert. Always acting like youโre above everyone else.โAnthony let out a humorless chuckle.
โWhat is that supposed to mean?โRobert blinked slowly.
โIt means that every time you say no, itโs never just business with you. Itโs always a reminder that youโre still the golden boy โ the one who made it to the top while the rest of us were left chasing your shadow.โ
Anthony said, stepping closer
โYou still think that? After all these years?โ His tone softened slightly but carried an edge of disbelief.
โWhy do you people keep taking everything I do as some attempt to make you feel inferior? Itโs been decades, Anthony. MIA was a lifetime ago.โRobert gave a dry laugh, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
Corazon crossed her arms, eyes narrowing. โEasy for you to say. Youโre the one sitting behind that desk, wearing the title Mr. President. Some of us had to fight harder for the scraps you left behind.โ
Robert looked between them and shook his head. โYouโre still living in that rivalry, arenโt you? God, itโs like none of you ever grew up.โ
โAlways the righteous one. Maybe that act works for the public, but I know the kind of man you were back in MIA and still are. Cold, manipulative, and hungry for power. Seems nothingโs changed.โAnthony rose as well, his voice low and bitter.
โAnd I know the kind of man youโve always been….. jealous and desperate to be relevant. You never beat me then, and you wonโt now.โRobert smirked faintly, though his eyes burned.
โYou must think youโre better than us. Youโve always been that way.โAnthony scoffed.
โI donโt think Iโm better,โ Robert said. โI just donโt let the past run my life. Maybe thatโs what separates us.โ
โCareful, Robert. Pride makes people blind.โ
Corazon smiled tightly.
โAnd bitterness makes people foolish.โ He met her gaze evenly.
“Bitterness?”
“Yes ! You’re so damn bitter that you lost to me, and you’re still damn bitter because you know that you’re always going to keep losing to me for the rest of your sorry lives.” Robert snapped at them.
A heavy silence fell. Anthonyโs lips curled into a dry laugh before he turned for the door.
โKeep your damn funds. Weโll finish the project without your approval.โ
Corazon followed, her heels clicking sharply on the marble floor.
โYouโll regret undermining us, Robert,โ She said without turning back.
โNot as much as youโll regret crossing me again,โ Robert replied quietly.
The doors shut behind them, leaving Robert alone in the office. He stood still for a moment, then exhaled deeply, staring at the city skyline through the glass โ the past, it seemed, was never truly buried.
-๐๐๐ง๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ’๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐-
Anthony stormed into his office, his suit jacket slung carelessly over one shoulder. Corazon followed quietly, closing the door behind her before walking over to the desk.
She placed a steaming cup of coffee in front of him.
โHere,โ She said softly. โBefore you break something.โ
โThat Robert, he thinks because heโs president, he can talk to anyone however he wants.โAnthony exhaled sharply and sank into his chair.
Corazon leaned against the edge of his desk, crossing her arms. โYouโre letting him get under your skin again. Donโt.โ
He looked up at her, irritation still flickering in his eyes.
โYou heard him, didnโt you? Acting like Iโm the one stuck in the past. Like heโs some saint who outgrew all of us.โAnthony grabbed the mug reluctantly and took a sip, shaking his head.
โHeโs not worth the headache,โ Corazon said calmly. โYou have bigger things to worry about, the project, our investors. Robert isnโt the center of the world.โ
Corazon stepped closer, her eyes never leaving his. The room seemed smaller, the noise from the outside fading into nothing as she wrapped her hand around Anthonyโs neck, sitting on his thigh.
Her touch was warm, deliberate, a quiet command that drew him in.
โItโs been far too long,โ She whispered, her lips hovering just above his.
Anthonyโs breath hitched.
โYeahโฆ too long,โ He admitted, his hands tightening around her waist, feeling the familiar weight of her against him.
Slowly, almost teasingly, she pressed her lips to his. At first, it was gentle, a soft brush that lingered. Anthony responded cautiously, letting the kiss deepen, tasting the warmth he had missed for long.
Their bodies pressed closer, the heat of their longing igniting between them.
Corazonโs fingers threaded into his hair, tugging him a fraction closer, and Anthonyโs hands traced the curve of her back, pulling her against him as if he could make up for lost time in a single embrace.
She broke the kiss just slightly, resting her forehead against his.
โI never stopped thinking about you.โ She murmured, voice low and intimate.
Anthonyโs lips brushed her temple, his thumb stroking her cheek.
โAnd I never stopped hoping youโd come back to me. Why can’t you just leave Gael.”Anthony ssid.
“Calm down, you know very well that’s not going to happen. Besides, if I leave him, he’s going to pull out his investments in your campaign.”Corazon smiled, kissing him again.
“But…. We love each other. I’m tired of always pretending.”Anthony huffed.
“Me too, but it’s better this way. Besides, think about Morgan and Trevor, they’re friends and you wouldn’t want to ruin their friendship.”Corazon said and He nodded before kissing her again.

Morgan knocked lightly before pushing open the glass door to Miss Doraโs office.
The principal looked up from a stack of papers, her sharp gaze landing on Morgan immediately.
โMorgan Sinclair.โ Miss Dora said, setting her pen down.
โWhat brings the Heartโs 2nd top player to my office this morning? You should be in class.โ
Morgan smiled politely and stepped in, the scent of jasmine trailing behind her.
โGood morning, Miss Dora. I just came to ask a tiny favor.โ
โA favor? And you’re being polite? That’s new.โMiss Dora leaned back in her chair.
Morgan nodded, clasping her hands behind her back.
โYes. I was wondering if you could tell me what tomorrowโs game will be for the tournament.โ
Morgan sat elegantly across from Miss Doraโs desk, legs crossed, her blazer buttoned to perfection as the principal adjusted her glasses.
โYou know damn well that cheating can get you expelled,โ Miss Dora said, her tone stern and deliberate.
โItโs not cheating. Iโm only curious, Miss Dora. Curiosity isnโt a crime.โMorgan smiled faintly, resting her chin on her hand.
โCuriosity becomes a crime when itโs about confidential information,โ Miss Dora replied. โThe tournamentโs structure will be announced tomorrow so just wait.โ
โCome on, Miss Dora. Youโve known me for years and you know me so well. Iโm not asking for answers, justโฆ a hint.โMorgan tilted her head, her voice soft yet sharp.
Miss Dora gave her a long look, unimpressed.
โYouโve always had a clever mouth, Morgan. But clever mouths get people in trouble here, you should know better.โ
Morgan tilted her head with a soft smirk. โSo, no hint at all? Not even a little one? You wouldnโt want me walking in unprepared, would you?โ
Miss Dora gave her a long, unimpressed stare.
โIf youโre as good as you claim to be, you wonโt need preparation. Now get back to your training arena before I decide to deduct points from you for skipping classes.โ
Morgan sighed and gave a mock salute. โUnderstood, Miss Dora. But donโt be too surprised when I win tomorrow.โ
โOut, Morgan.โ Miss Dora said, picking up her pen again.
Morgan turned, her smirk never leaving.
โHave a good day, Miss Dora.โ She walked out gracefully, her boots clicking in rhythm.

Bluey entered the class with Zayne, Natalie, Nia, and Loci.
“I hope we’re not learning anything boring today. I am so not in the mood,” Nia groaned.
“I perceive failure,” Loci teased.
“Babe,” She hit him playfully.
“Bluey, are you okay? You’ve been quiet since we left the dorm,” Zayne asked, glancing at her.
“I’m fine. I’m just thinking about what you guys said yesterday. It’s still giving me chills,” Bluey murmured.
“No need to worry about it. Just ignore meeting him,” Natalie said calmly.
โUnless he actually asks for you,โ Loci added teasingly, earning a sharp glare from Nia.
โLoci,โ she warned.
โWhat? Iโm just saying the truth. You donโt get to ignore Hades if he wants you.โ He raised his hands in mock surrender.
โYou and your mouth.โNia rolled her eyes and hit his arm playfully.
They all sat down as other students filled the room, flipping through the textbooks assigned for class.
Natasha walked in with Bryan and Aris, her eyes immediately landing on Bluey.
“There she is,” Aris muttered, smirking.
Natasha strutted toward Blueyโs desk, Bryan and Aris trailing behind her like shadows.
The chatter in the room dimmed immediately, everyone knew what it meant when Morganโs lackeys cornered someone, it means Morgan is pissed.
โWell, well,โ Natasha began with a smirk, crossing her arms. โIf it isnโt the little charity case who caught Hadesโ attention.โ
โWhat?โBluey looked up, confused.
โDonโt play dumb,โ Aris chimed in. โYou think itโs cute talking to him when Morgan’s family including her clearly hates his guts?โ
โMaybe sheโs trying to climb the ranks the easy way.โBryan leaned closer to Blueyโs desk, his grin smug.
Blueyโs fingers tightened around her pen.
โI didnโt do anything wrong. He justโโ
โSpare us the innocent act,โ Natasha snapped, slamming her palm on Blueyโs desk, making her flinch.
โIf youโre trying to impress Hades, youโre digging your own grave.โ
โBack off.โ Natalieโs voice cut sharply shoving at Natasha.
โPick on someone else, Natasha.โShe stood, eyes blazing as she stepped between Natasha and Bluey.
โAw, defending her now? How sweet.โ Natasha rolled her eyes. โYou really want to fight me for her?โ
โIf I have to,โ Natalie shot back.
โYou three should leave before you embarrass yourselves.โZayne leaned casually against the desk beside Bluey.
โOr what?โBryan scoffed.
โOr Iโll make sure you find out the hard way.โ
Loci stood up too, cracking his knuckles with a grin.
โYou think you three scare people just because you run errands for Morgan? Pathetic.โNia crossed her arms, stepping closer to Blueyโs side.
โAnd you think talking to Hades makes you someone important, huh?โ Natasha sneered, stepping closer to Bluey.
โNatasha, I donโt want trouble.โBluey tried to stay calm.
โToo late for that,โ Natasha hissed before shoving her hard. Bluey stumbled back, nearly hitting the edge of the desk.
The sound of the slap that followed echoed through the class. Natalieโs hand came down across Natashaโs face, sharp and furious.
โDonโt you ever touch her again.โ
Gasps filled the room as Natashaโs head snapped to the side. She blinked, stunned for a second then retaliaed.
The twins collided. Desks screeched, papers flew, and students scattered out of their way.
Natasha grabbed a handful of Natalieโs hair, and Natalie shoved her back, landing another hit on her arm.
โSay youโre sorry! Apologize to her.โ Natalie shouted, trying to push her off.
โNever!โ Natasha spat, swinging back.
They crashed against a desk, sending books tumbling to the floor. Their breathing grew louder, ragged, angry.
Then the speaker above crackled to life.
๐ โPlayer 053 and Player 055, violence isnโt allowed in learning lecture halls, take your shit elsewhere.โ
Both girls froze, still breathing hard, faces flushed and eyes burning with defiance as the room fell into stunned silence.
Immediately, the classroom door creaked open and a boy stepped inside. Everyone turned toward him.
He scanned the room before speaking. โPlease, whoโs Bluey? Player 090?โ
โUmโฆ thatโs me.โBluey hesitated, her voice quiet.
โHades is looking for you. He said you should meet him at the Aces training arena.โThe boy said.
A wave of murmurs rippled through the class. Natalie leaned closer, trying to lighten the air for Bluey.
โGirl, youโve got to give us a full gist when you return. And remember, just try and stay calm, okay?โ
Bluey managed a nervous smile and nodded.
โLetโs go,โ The boy said simply before turning toward the door.
Bluey grabbed her bag and followed him out, feeling every pair of eyes on her.
As she reached the door, Natasha folded her arms with a scoff, still rubbing her cheek where the slap had landed.
โThere she goes, Hadesโ victim number 21.โ
