Flex rushes to them , his heart in his throat , he almost fainted as he saw Hans on the floor barely breathing.

Bodyguards with bullet proof vest surrounded them immediately making it impossible for the sniper to take further shots.

Liam drops to his knees , his face pale in shock. He took Hans in his arms shaking him lightly.

” Don’t you dare die on me ” he mutters pulling him closer, not minding the blood stain.

The ambulance and rushes Hans to the hospital while police arrives , pushing reporters and onlookers back.

” Postpone the meeting with Mr Syine ” Liam mutters, his lips barely moving.

Felix bows , his gaze lingering on Liam’s calm demeanor.

” Yes sir “

He leaves.

Liam enters his car and zooms off at a high speed .

Roger hurries down the stairs clearly angry , he avoided the elevators not to attract attention.

He chose this high building hoping it will be a perfect spot to shoot his target but instead someone noticed and ruined everything.

” Why do I keep missing my shots uh, this is the second time I’m failing a mission, shit Boss and Tiger will be angry ” he mutters sprinting down the stairs.

[RYLAN’S PENTHOUSE]

Crystal and her parents with Rylan and his mom discuss plans for the wedding and also fix date for it .

Elira smiles holding Crystal hands ” you’re so beautiful dear even more than my son described

She blushes ” thank you ma’am”

” Call me mom ” .

“Thank mom ” she corrects smiling, to be honest she felt nervous of his mom not accepting her but now everything’s okay.

Greg chuckles smiling at his daughter, she really found the right man for herself.

” Mr man I believe you can take care of my princess, treasure her like she’s a diamond uh “

” I can do more than that father in law” Rylan replied looking at Crystal curdled up on the sofa with his mom.

Lilian clears her throat ” so for the wedding plans , I believe us the ladies should handle everything above the bride and the food # drinks also “

” I vouch for that ” Elira adds .

Rylan pouts ” hey mom , what about me the groom “

She scoffs ” you and your dad with your male friends can handle it with the wedding venue and decorations “

” Yeah whatever ” he grumbles cutely , eyeing laughing Crystal still in his mom’s arms .

Greg sighs seating up ” so we need to fix the date now “

” I suggest we leave it to the bride and groom, it’s their wedding after all” Lilian said smiling

He nods in agreement ” she’s right , so what do you guys say about it “

” Well ” Crystal mutters leaning forward .

” I would like it if it’s possible for the wedding to be held in two weeks time so we can prepare well for it “

Rylan smiles looking at her with puppy eyes , she looks so cute that he wants to snuggle into her .

” Anything you say sweetheart “

She looks down feeling her cheeks heat up , he is acting all lovey dovey in front of their parents.

Lilian squeals ” awwn so romantic ,I think we should give them privacy, Rylan will pass out if he doesn’t kiss my daughter”

” But take it easy , remember she’s pregnant ” Greg mutters smiling

” Yeah we don’t want baby number 2 so soon ” Elira adds chuckling

Crystal’s face turned beet red while his face was plastered with an annoying smirk .

” No no don’t — ” they leave smiling mischievously

She glares at Rylan still smirking ” will you stop making that face “

” No darling ” he catapults himself to her and pins her to the couch .

She gasps in shock ” Rylan….. “

He chuckles giving her neck a teasing bite .

She jerks holding back her moan .

” I really missed you , your time in the hospital prevented me from touching you uh ” he murmurs, his lips going up to hers and her silenced feeble protests.

Crystal pushes him lightly but he won’t budge , hands tangled in her hair while his tongue ravished her mouth.

The door opens and Elira barges in separating the two couple.

” Okay that’s enough, we need to go shopping with the ladies ” she said dragging Crystal away from Rylan .

Rylan groans dragging her back ” mum give me back my wife “

She scoffs ” she’s not your wife yet “

Crystal winks and blows him a kiss before leaving with his mom .

He groans leaning back on his couch , his phone rings and he picks absentmindedly.

Rylan : hello

Felix: *panicking* Hans is in the hospital

Rylan :*shocked* what ! What happened

Felix: there was an attempted assassination on Liam but Hans took the hit

Rylan : *speechless*

Felix: Hans is currently receiving treatment but I don’t know where Liam is , he just took off with a weird look on his face

Rylan : shit, he might do something stupid I’ll check for him at the base, just stay with Hans in the hospital *hangs up *

” Shit what is going on ” he mutters grabbing his car keys .

FASHION HOUSE.

The ladies : Elira , Lilian , Crystal and Sabrina went to the popular fashion house in the city to get Crystal measured for her wedding dress.

The fashion company is known for its extra ordinary outstanding designs which is mostly worn by celebrities .

Crystal sighed as the company’s CEO ‘Lovelyn’ took her body measurements, which was taking a long time and she was getting tired.

” Gosh ain’t you done ” she grumbles turning her back as Lovelyn continued her work

Lovelyn chuckles ” calm down miss , I take my time when doing my work especially for someone like me .

” Yeah let her do her work gurl ” Sabrina said from the chair they were seating down .

Elira nods sipping her tea, she was seating on the couch next to Lilian and Sabrina.

” Ah this gown will be my most exquisite work , made of pure diamonds ” Lovelyn said scanning her.

Crystal smiles ” that’s good , I want my wedding to be the talk of the town even though it won’t be extravagant “

” I hope I’m invited darl ” Lovelyn adds .

” Yes of course and infact I need bridesmaid like you that will clear way with the fashion vibe.

Lilian claps in glee ” exactly, a bridesmaid will be perfect for you while Sabrina will be her chief bridesmaid “

” It will be an honor to do that ” Lovelyn said smiling happily

Sabrina gives her a thumbs up ” I trust you will give him hints on my dress too , yes “

She grins ” yes of course and I have the perfect design for you “

” Is ours included ” Elira adds referring to her and Lilian

Lovelyn laughs. ” of course, everyone is included *claps* I’m so excited this is going to be the best wedding ever “

” Totally ” Crystal said smiling, her mind filled with happy thoughts.

After the measurements, they leave the fashion house heading to a shoe boutique.

Crystal yawns tiredly resting her head on Sabrina’s shoulder as they stepped out of the building.

” I’m really craving for a cupcake” she mutters drooling.

Sabrina chuckles” pregnancy cravings “

” Exactly, this is just the beginning sweetheart ” Lilian adds

Elira chuckles ” but don’t worry , we’re here for you , the pregnancy journey will be long and stressful but you gat us “

” Thank you ” Crystal said smiling, her heart filled with happiness.

” SCARLETT!!! ” a loud shrill voice screamed from the back .

They turn towards it , flinching from the scream .

” What the hell ” Elira mutters confused as she watches a tattered haggy woman running towards them crying.

Lilian shields Crystal and Sabrina thinking it was a mentally disabled woman .

The woman falls to her knees crying bitterly ” pls have mercy on me , I beg you “

” Who are you and I do want go by that name anymore” Sabrina mutters peeping from Lilian’s back while Crystal hugs her .

The woman cleans her tears ” it’s me Mary”

Sabrina eyes widens in shock and she steps forward ” Mary ?? What happened, why are you looking like this “

” I decieved your biological father when he came looking for you ” she mutters looking down .

” How ? “

Mary sniffs and blows her nose loudly in her dirty skirt , they shift back in disgust.

” When he asked for you , I lied to him that Yvonne was his daughter and I thought he believed it cause he took Yvonne away and she spent a lot of his money . Now that the truth is out he made us slaves in the army base cause we’re unable to pay him back his money we spent “

They stare at her in shock

. Sabrina scoffs in disbelief ” I can’t believe this , you guys deserve every punishment you’re receiving and I have no intention of telling my dad to free you guys “

” Totally, she’s has no plans of doing that , now run along before we call the security ” Crystal adds smirking.

Mary panics pleading desperately ” pls I beg you , my husband has already fallen ill and Yvonne is no longer in her right mind, she keeps talking to herself and behaving strangely “

” You guys really maltreated me , who knew that this day will come when you will be on your knees begging for forgiveness which I won’t give you ” Sabrina said staring at her coldly.

She keeps on pleading. ” pls I beg you , have mercy “

Elira sighs turning to them ” pls let’s go we don’t have all day here “

” Yeah that’s true , we still have a lot of malls to visit ” Lilian adds and they leave.

Mary panics and chases after them but the bodyguards blending in the crowds stop her and drags her away ignoring her screams that attracted passerbys.

Crystal hugs Sabrina as she cries quietly, it was really hard for her putting on that hard face without breaking down .

” It’s okay dear , you’ve been through a lot” Lilian said patting her back .

UNDERGROUND BASE
LIAM’S LAYER.

Rylan hurries into the training room , the guards told him that Liam arrived with a horrifying aura that scared them off , he locked himself away in the training room since he came.

He sighs in relief as he sees Liam raining blows on a punching bag, the aura still there but why the fuck will it scare Rylan away.

” Do you have something to tell me ” he said watching him closely.

Liam smirks throwing another punch to the bag , he was still in his work clothes but his suit and tie was discarded elsewhere.

” I have a lot actually ” he mutters

” Good , I’m listening” Rylan said handing him a bottle of water .

Liam seats on the bench , eyes on the floor. ” This morning, Sabrina’s dad told him about the cause of the bomb explosion in the outskirts of the city “

” Okay ….. ” Rylan said still not getting it

” He suspects a coup d’etat and the president has a hand to it ” he mutters.

Rylan sighs getting more confused ” I really don’t understand, a coup d’etat that the president is involved in….. How is it connected to you “

” I believe I’ve a common enemy with the general that’s what I know for now ” Liam said standing up.

” What are we going to do ” Rylan asks feeling his head pounding

Liam sighs and pats his shoulder ” you do nothing brother , just focus on your wedding plans and protect Crystal, I’ll handle the rest “

He scoffs ” do you think I’m going to let you fight this alone, forget about excluding me from helping you I’m doing that”

Liam sighs ” I don’t want to endanger Crystal or —— “

He cuts him off .

” My Crystal is safe , I’ve eyes on her 24/7 now after what happened I’ve learnt my lesson so don’t use that as an excuse “

” Thank you ” Liam said sincerely.

Rylan grins ” anytime, so so you have any plans for this “

He nods ” yeah , I’m meeting with my dad and the general first thing tomorrow morning “

” Alright, I will come with you , let’s check up on Hans first ” Rylah said leading him outside.

Liam nods ” yeah , Felix told me his condition is now stable “

” Oh no wonder you didn’t do anything stupid ” Rylan adds smirking.

” You know me well, anyway don’t tell Sabrina about this , I don’t want her worrying ” Liam said

Rylan shines his teeth ” off course I won’t “

PRIVATE HOSPITAL.

Liam sighs in relief as he comes out of Hans ward , he was still unconscious but his condition was stable like the doctor said.

Rylan left few minutes ago after getting a call from his father in law to get a tux for his wedding.

” I need to call my flower ” he mutters bringing out his phone.

Liam : hey flower

Sabrina: bae , what happened… I’ve been calling your line since but you weren’t answering and I also went to your office, it was empty and everyone was acting weird.

— Liam made the reporters not to spread the news of the assassination and hushed anyone from talking about it.

Liam : everything is fine flower

Sabrina: so where are you

Liam : in a hospital

Sabrina: *shocked* hospital what do you mean hospital

Liam : don’t panic flower, I’m —

Sabrina: shut up, which hospital are you in

Liam: st Louis private hospital but seriously bae I’m *she hangs up*

He sighs rubbing his neck ” this is why I did not want to tell her ” .

Within 30 minutes Sabrina arrived with Aiden in her arms .

” Daddy !! ” He yells and jumps on him .

Liam smiles happily and catches him pouring kisses on his face. ” How are you”

” I’m fine daddy ” he said smiling.

” Good ” Liam mutters looking up to see Sabrina’s deadpanned gaze on him.

He chuckles nervously ” err darling, nothing happened to me seriously”

” Oh really then why are you in the hospital and what the hell am I hearing from Rylan uh a f+king assassin is after you which is connected to a coup d’etat concerning my dad and why was I in the dark uh ” she said dragging his ear.

Liam yells in pain , struggling to save his poor ear … That betrayal Rylan ratted him out .

Aiden giggles watching his mom scold his dad , what a lovely sight to behold.

Later Liam sat at the back seat of the car driving smoothly, fast asleep on Sabrina’s shoulder while Aiden was also sleeping in her arms .

They left the hospital after confirming from the doctor that Hans was okay and also his parents and girlfriend were with him .

She smiles watching the two identical faces cuddling her body , sighing she leans back on the car seat closing her eyes .

BOSS EMPIRE.
PAVILION

Boss smirks leaning back on his chair , eyes cold and fixed on Roger kneeling on the ground.

” So you failed again “

Roger bows his head clearly ashamed ” Boss I really don’t know why people take bullets for other people, that’s why I keep failing the mission”

” Victor won’t be pleased on bit *looks at his watch *I believe he would be on his way soon “Boss said calmly

Roger stands up ” I’m not going to give up , I’ll try again tomorrow”

” No “

” What “

” This careless move you made has given Liam a hint that he is being targeted, so there won’t be a next time “

Roger looks at him confused ” so we’re not ending him again “

” Oh you will end him but when he least expect it ” Boss said a sly smile on his face.

The door opens and Victor storms inside visibily angry.

” I now know you are a failure”

Roger glares at him ” it isn’t my fault , his stupid bodyguard took the bullet for him “

” Ah that same excuse, thankfully Sabrina wasn’t there to take it this time around cause I would have killed you ” Victor said smirking.

He hisses ” I’m not a failure, this mission wasn’t just right for me “

Victor chuckles dryly ” since when did you start selecting missions Mr failure.. I believe you shouldn’t partake in anything we do cause you will rub your bad luck on us “

He looks at him , his eyes turning red with anger ” don’t call me a failure “

Boss sat there calmly watching them with an amused expression on his face not making a move to stop them.

” I will say it a billion times Roger , you are nothing but a failure ” Victor spats angrily.

In an twinkle of an eye , a gun was pressed to Victor’s forehead .

” Call. Me .That . Again” Roger said his eyes glowing red.

” FAI-LU-RE “

Roger pulls the trigger .
