Mr. Kings didn’t say anything at first.

He just stood there, .

Hand slowly rising to touch the side of his cheek where her slap had landed.

His jaw tightened, eyes burning with something Anna couldn’t quite read..not just anger..no…

Conflicted.

Intense.

She opened her mouth, then shut it again.

Her chest heaved with emotion.

She hadn’t planned to hit him

It just happened.

The pressure.

The confusion.

The pain.

The betrayal.

It exploded out of her.

“You had no right to touch me,” she said, trying to keep her voice firm, but it cracked slightly.

Mr. Kings stepped closer.

His voice came low, but controlled.

“And you had no right to leave without hearing me out.”

Ana shook her head, her breath catching.

“I waited for you, Charlie. I gave you everything. My time, my heart, my trust. I waited. And you chose her. Publicly. You made your choice.”

“I didn’t choose her!”

he snapped, his voice rising for the first time, but immediately he forced it down.

“You think this is what I wanted? You think marrying Fatima is what I planned? I’m doing this because…”

He stopped himself, his chest rising heavily.

Ana’s voice was almost a whisper.

“Because what, Charlie?”

Silence.

She stepped back,.

Hurt flooding her again.

“You can’t even say it, can you? Because the truth is, you made your decision. And now you’re here acting jealous over someone else. You lost that right the moment you said yes to Fatima.”

His voice came, broken but sharp.

“You think I don’t feel something every time I look at you? That it doesn’t kill me when I see you walking away like you mean nothing to me? I tried to stay away. I thought… maybe if I let you go, it would hurt less. But it doesn’t. It never does.”

Anna’s eyes filled with tears she refused to let fall.

“Then why didn’t you fight for me, Charlie? Why didn’t you choose me?”

Silence again.

He couldn’t answer her.

What the fuck would he even say anyway.

Fuck, he felt like a useless person.

” You clearly don’t know what to say, so goodbye, I wish you all the happiness Mr Charlie Kings “

Without saying anything or waiting for his response, she turned around and walk away her heart heavy.

Mr Kings watch her walking away his, heart clenched and he swallowed hard…

Does loving someone hurt like this.

“F+k” He cursed under his breath.

✨ Alison and Joyce’s ✨

“I’m not going to answer that call,” Joyce said as she ended the incoming call from Juliet.

Alison, who had been watching her quietly, leaned back on the couch and asked,.

“Then why did you give her your number, babe, if you weren’t going to talk to her?”

Joyce sighed and tossed her phone onto the coffee table.

“I don’t know… maybe I just felt bad. She’s still my sister, no matter what.”

Alison stood, walked over to her, and gently pulled her into his arms.

“Come here,” he murmured, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Joyce rested her hands on his chest, avoiding his eyes.

“She hurt you, Joyce,” he said softly, brushing her hair back.

“You keep trying to be strong, but I see it. You’re still carrying that pain.”

Joyce looked up at him, her eyes a little glossy.

“It’s just… Juliet and I were inseparable growing up. I never thought she’d turn on me like that. I still don’t understand what I did wrong.”

Alison tilted her chin up so she’d meet his gaze.

“You didn’t do anything wrong. Sometimes people hurt the ones they’re closest to because they think forgiveness is automatic.”

Joyce let out a shaky breath.

“I’m tired, Ali. Tired of being the one who always has to understand, the one who’s expected to pick up the pieces.”

He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.

“Then stop picking them up. You don’t owe her your peace. You owe that to yourself… and to us.”

Joyce closed her eyes, melting into his chest.

“But what if she’s calling to apologize? What if she finally regrets it?”

“Then she can regret it,” Alison whispered against her hair.

“But she doesn’t get to break your heart twice.”

She nodded slowly, her arms tightening around him.

“I’ve got you,” he said, pulling her even closer.

“You don’t need to carry her anymore. Let her go, Joyce. Stay here..with me.”

She finally smiled.

“I’m trying. And being in your arms makes it easier.”

“Good,” he whispered.

“Because that’s exactly where you belong.”

Joyce lifted her head slowly, meeting Alison’s eyes.

There was heat there, but also something tender.

Protective.

The way he looked at her made her feel seen cherished even now, especially now.

“You keep looking at me like that,” she murmured.

“Like what?” he said, a teasing smile curling at his lips .

As his fingers traced slow circles on her lower back.

“Like I’m the only woman in the world.”

He leaned down, brushing his lips just near her ear, his breath warm.

“That’s because you are… And carrying my baby? That makes you even more irresistible.”

Joyce’s breath hitched.

His hand slid down, resting gently over her slight still flat bump.

“Do you have any idea how sexy you look right now? Glowing… full of life. Mine.”

Joyce bit her bottom lip.

“Ali…”

He dipped his head, kissing her neck slowly, deliberately.

Letting his lips linger on her sensitive skin.

Her eyes fluttered shut.

Her cunt throbbing with need.

“You’ve been so strong,” he whispered, voice husky.

“Let me take care of you tonight.”

She nodded, her voice almost a whisper.

“Please.”

Without another word, he scooped her up in his arms, making her squeal softly, and carried her toward the bedroom.

She clung to him, giggling and flushed.

Once inside, .

He laid her down carefully,.

Like she was the most precious thing in the world.

His hands moved slowly, reverently, over her body.

“Every curve, every breath,” he whispered,as he moved his hand down her thighs

“It’s all mine.”

Joyce gasped as his lips moved lower,.

His hands moved in sync with every motion he made until he was nestled between her legs.

“Open up for me, babe,” Alison whispered.

Joyce whimpered as she spread her legs wider for him.

She could feel the wetness dripping down her thighs, dangerously close to her ass.

“Umm… oh… good God,” she moaned as she felt his tongue flick over her sensitive nub.

Her hands gripped the sheets tightly as Alison’s mouth devoured her like she was his favorite meal.

“Oh… oh… oh God, please… f+k,” she cried out, her hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer into her p*+y as he ate her like he couldn’t get enough.

Alison groaned against her clit, and she shuddered, feeling her climax building fast.

His tongue moved up and down over her folds, slow and deliberate, licking her like he was savoring every drop.

*F+k*, she tasted so damn good.

“I’m gonna c+m… ohh… f+k,” Joyce screamed, her body tensing as she came undone in his mouth.

Alison grinned and moved up to her face, his lips crashing into hers in a rough, hungry kiss.

Joyce moaned, tasting herself on his mouth, her body still trembling.

“F+k,” Alison groaned, tugging his pants down.

He thrust inside her in one deep, smooth stroke, and Joyce gasped as she arched into him.

“God, you feel so good,” he growled against her ear, his voice thick.

Her legs wrapped around his waist instinctively,.

Pulling him deeper.

Every stroke sent shivers through her spine,.

His hips grinding into hers with purpose.

“Alison… oh..don’t stop,” she moaned,.

Her nails dragging down his back.

He gripped her thighs tighter,.

Driving into her with slow, hard thrusts.

The room echoed with the sound of skin against skin,.

Mixed with her breathless.

Whimpers and his low groans.

“You’re mine, Joyce,” he whispered against her neck.

Before biting down gently, making her cry out.

Her body clenched around him,.

Every nerve on fire.

“I’m so close again,” she gasped.

He looked down at her, sweat on his brow, eyes wild with desire.

“Then c+m for me, baby. Let me feel you lose it.”

She shattered beneath him seconds later, crying out his name, .

Body trembling as waves of pleasure crashed through her.

Alison followed with a deep, guttural groan, burying himself inside her as he spilled into her warmth,.

Holding her tight like he never wanted to let go.

*****

The next Day Joyce walked into the restaurant.

Her eyes scanned the room before they landed on her aunt.

She smiled and made her way over.

Damn, it had been months since she last saw her.

“Auntie Rosa!” she called.

Rosa looked up, a wide smile spreading across her face as she stood.

“Oh, I’ve missed you so much, my darling,” Rosa said, showering her cheeks with kisses.

Joyce giggled, gently pushing her away.

“Auntie! You’re going to smudge your lipstick all over my face with those kisses. Gosh,” she laughed as she sat down.

Rosa rolled her eyes.

“You’re glowing,” she commented with a grin.

Joyce smiled, but before she could respond, the entrance bell chimed.

She glanced over
and froze.

Juliet.

Her smile faded instantly.

Joyce turned slowly back to her aunt.

“Wait… did you call Juliet here?”

Auntie Rosa hesitated, then gave a small nod.

“Yes, sweetheart. I just thought…”

Before she could finish, Joyce stood up.

“No, Auntie. I can’t do this. Not today,” she said, her voice low but firm.

“Joyce, wait….”

But she was already walking toward the door, her heels clicking sharply on the floor,.

Her jaw clenched tight as Juliet approached the table.

Juliet opened her mouth to speak, but Joyce didn’t even look at her.

She pushed the restaurant door open and walked out, .

Juliet looked at Rosa not knowing what to do.

Rosa sighed, she just wanted them to talk but it looks like Joyce, wasn’t ready for that.

” You can follow her outside, I will be waiting for you here” She said.

Without thinking twice Juliet run outside.

“Joy! Joy! Joy, please, listen!” Juliet’s voice trembled as she ran after her, .

Joyce ignore her walking briskly toward her parked car outside the restaurant.

Juliet reached out, grabbing Joyce’s hand to stop her.

“Please… just hear me out. Can we talk?”

Joyce jerked her hand away,.

Spinning to face her sister, eyes blazing.

“What do you want, Juliet? Why did you have to drag Auntie into this? This is between us!”

“I… I thought maybe you wouldn’t come if I just called. I thought bringing Auntie would make you listen,” Juliet said, her voice shaking.

Joyce scoffed sharply.

“So what? That means I don’t want to see you. That should have been obvious! Why do you keep bothering me? I told you I don’t want to talk to you, so why do you keep showing up, trying to force this?” Her voice rose,.

Juliet swallowed hard, seeing the anger blazing in Joyce’s face.

“Look… I’m sorry, okay? I shouldn’t have involved Auntie. I just want to talk. I just… I want to apologize. Please. Can we leave everything behind….?”

“Leave everything behind?” Joyce’s voice cut her off like a whip.

“Do you think it’s that easy, Julie? Do you think I can just forget everything? Do you?”

Juliet’s hands trembled as she reached out again, .

Desperation dripping from every movement.

“I’ll do anything… even kneel if I have to. I’m so sorry, Joyce. I’m sorry for hurting you. I’m sorry for betraying you. I’m sorry for breaking your trust. I’m sorry for leaving you behind. Please… can we just talk? I miss my twin. I miss you. I miss everything we used to do together.”

Her voice cracked under the weight of her emotions.

Joyce looked at her, lips trembling,.

Fists clenching as anger warred with the ache in her chest.

She swallowed,.

Swallowing her pride,.

Fighting the urge to run.

“Why… why did you do it? Why hurt me like that?”

Juliet exhaled shakily, finally letting a hint of relief escape.

“I know… I’m sorry, Joy. I was scared. Scared of telling you… that Kelvin and I… we’ve loved each other for a long time. And when the wedding day came, I couldn’t go through with it. Because even if I had to marry Charlie, I would still see him… I couldn’t stand it. I couldn’t bear seeing him with you. I’m so sorry.”

Joyce’s eyes blazed, voice sharp, cutting through Juliet’s words.

“You’re so foolish! You could have just told me! You watched me, watched me loving a man you knew you loved. I slept with him, thinking he was mine… and you were there, knowing what was happening behind my back, pretending to be happy. We went dress shopping together, talked about the wedding, and all the while… you were lying. Every night, every moment, you were sleeping with the man I loved. And you think I can just forget that? You think I can just forgive that?”

Juliet flinched, her hands trembling as she tried to reach out.

Joyce’s voice cracked, tears spilling down her cheeks.

“Why did you choose yourself over me? Why lie? Why pretend to be happy when you knew the truth? You could have told me, explained your feelings for him. Maybe then… maybe I wouldn’t have been this furious. But instead… you played me. Both of you. Every smile, every word, all a lie. Do you even understand how much that hurts?”

Joyce ran her hands through her hair, frustration and heartbreak raw in every movement,.

Tears streaming freely now.

“How could you be so selfish, Julie? How could you just… choose what was easy for you and leave me to deal with the rest?”

“I’m sorry, okay? I’m so sorry, Joyce. I never meant to hurt you. I was just… scared to tell you. Scared to hurt you,” Juliet said, her voice trembling.

“But you already did,” Joyce snapped, her eyes cold.

“You had me within reach—and you still lied. You say you were scared, but you still hurt me. How do I just forget that? How do I forgive that? You think it’s so easy?” Her voice rose, sharp and shaking

“It’s not that f+king easy. Do you understand?”

She took a step back, distance growing between them.

“I didn’t mean to hurt you,…I was.. just confused and…” Juliet whispered again.

“Because you were f+king in love with them all. You were in love with Charlie. And at the same damn time, you were in love with Kelvin .You might not want to admit it, but that’s the truth.”Joyce cut her off.

Juliet looked down, conflicted.

“I don’t know what I felt. Maybe I was. Maybe not. But Charlie… he was controlling, he was messed up, he was just obsessed with me and….”

“No..he did love you. Charlie did love you. You were just too blind to see it,”

Joyce snapped, cutting Juliet off.

“You were f+king his best friend, Juliet. How could you even know how he really felt about you?”

Juliet flinched, her expression twisting with guilt.

“Do you even realize how many friendships, how many relationships, you destroyed because of your affair with Kelvin?” Joyce continued, her voice cold and biting.

“I never meant to hurt anyone, Joyce,”Juliet said, her voice trembling.

“I just chose myself… and the person I loved.”

Joyce scoffed, stepping back.

“Then keep choosing yourself, sister. But stop dragging me into it.”
She turned around to leave, .

Her heels clicking sharply, but Juliet’s voice stopped her.

“You’re getting married to your boyfriend… while you still haven’t let go of your past.”

Joyce let out a bitter chuckle.

“That’s none of your damn business.”

“You forgave Kelvin,” Juliet said, desperation seeping into her voice.

“Why can’t you forgive me? Huh? I’m sorry, okay? I’m so sorry for everything. Do you think I’ve been happy living with what I did? I haven’t. I miss my sister. I miss my best friend. Please, Joy… please.”

Joyce closed her eyes, her chest tightening.

She wanted to scream, to cry, to run.

“I’m sorry, Julie… but it’s not that easy.”
Her voice was quiet now, strained.

She opened her eyes just in time to see tears rolling down Juliet’s face.

And for a moment… she almost felt sorry for her.

But as she turned to leave, something stopped her.

A sharp pain stabbed her in the stomach, like a knife twisting deep inside.

“Oh… f+k..oh God!” Joyce screamed, doubling over as she clutched her belly.

“Joyce? Joyce! Are you okay?”Juliet cried out, rushing to her side.

Joyce whimpered in pain, her body suddenly drenched in sweat.

She felt something wet between her thighs.

Her hand reached down instinctively.

When she pulled it back, her fingers were trembling… and stained with blood.

“Oh God… my baby…” she whispered, her voice cracking.

Juliet’s face turned white, panic gripping her.

“I..I’ll take you to the hospital, hold on!”

Juliet’s hands trembled as she fumbled to unlock her car,.

Joyce groaning in pain beside her.

“Stay with me, okay? Breathe… just breathe,” Juliet said, trying to keep calm, but her voice was cracking.

Joyce clutched her belly tighter, her face pale and contorted.

“It hurts… it hurts so bad,” she whimpered, tears falling freely now.

Juliet helped her into the car seat, buckling her in as gently as she could.

Then she ran around to the driver’s side and started the engine with shaking hands.

The ride to the hospital was a blur of red lights and frantic prayers.

“Just hold on, Joy… please don’t do this now,” Juliet whispered, glancing at her sister in the passenger seat.

Joyce’s breathing was shallow, her hand pressing harder to her stomach.

“I can’t lose this baby… I can’t…”

“You won’t, okay? You won’t. I swear,”*Juliet said, speeding through the night.

When they arrived, she ran to get help, shouting for nurses as Joyce started to black out.

Within seconds, a team rushed her inside on a stretcher.

Juliet followed behind, her heart pounding.
