Later that night the lights were dim in Ana’s room.
Ana had changed into one of her oversized T-shirts and was adjusting the pillows behind her back while lying on the bed.
Mr. Kings walked out of the bathroom in just sweatpants, drying his hair with a towel.
She watched him silently for a moment, then let out a dramatic sigh.
He looked at her. “What?”
Ana turned to face him fully. “You irritated me today, you know that?”
He blinked, a bit amused.
“Me? What did I do now?”
She gestured toward him lazily.
“You just had to interrupt when I was talking to Ryan. What were you trying to do? Mark territory like a lion?”
Mr. Kings chuckled as he tossed the towel aside.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot I was supposed to stand in a corner while you two exchanged goodbye hugs and apologies in slow motion.”
Ana narrowed her eyes at him. “Don’t be sarcastic. I was being nice.”
“You were being dramatic,” he replied, climbing into the bed beside her.
She shifted to give him space,.
Then sniffed the air dramatically and scrunched her nose.
“Also, what is that perfume you’re wearing? You’re choking me. You smell like like ego and expensive mistakes.”
He laughed, his eyes lighting up with amusement.
“It’s Clive”
“Well, tell Mr. Clive to calm down,” she muttered, waving a hand in front of her nose.
“My baby are doing backflips because of it.”
Mr. Kings raised an eyebrow.
“Is that your subtle way of saying you missed sleeping next to me?”
Ana gave him a look. “It’s my not-so-subtle way of saying your cologne is disrespectful.”
He leaned closer, teasingly. “You sure you don’t secretly like it?”
“Don’t test me, Charlie. I’ll kick you out of this bed.”
He leaned back, laughing. “I forgot how feisty you are at night. It’s good to have you back.”
Ana smiled despite herself, then turned away with a small huff.
“Just turn off the lights before your scent starts peeling the paint off the walls.”
He smirked, turned off the lights, and whispered,.
“Good night, Mrs. Kings.”
She rolled her eyes in the dark but smiled. “Good night… walking perfume bottle.”
***
Mr. Kings checked the time.
It was already 2 a.m., but he couldn’t sleep.
His chest felt heavy with fear.
What if he closed his eyes, only to wake up tomorrow and she was gone again?.
He couldn’t bear that.
He turned to look at her.
She still looked beautiful..no, more than beautiful.
Pregnancy suited her.
Her body, her face, her glow… she was breathtaking.
His hand moved gently to her belly, rubbing it softly.
She was sleeping naked, and the sight of her bare body next to him had him hard in seconds.
But he didn’t touch her.
Not without her permission.
He groaned softly, turning slightly to try and calm himself.
But his thoughts went to Ryan.
Two months.
They had stayed together for two whole months.
Did they really just live like friends?
Did he touch her?
The idea made his jaw clench.
No one was allowed to touch her.
She was his.
Only his.
But despite his jealousy, he was still grateful to Ryan for taking care of her he just prayed that it had stayed innocent.
He looked back at Ana.
Her lips were slightly parted, breathing softly.
Then, slowly, her eyes opened.
Mr. Kings smiled.
“You’re awake,” he whispered, brushing hair from her face.
She placed her hand on his lips, the other going protectively to her belly.
“My babies are hungry,” she said in a low voice.
He raised an eyebrow. “What?”
“I said I’m hungry,” she repeated, now louder.
She tried to get off the bed, but he pulled her gently back.
“Baby… it’s 2 a.m. You want food now?”
Ana glared at him. “Do I look like I care what time it is? I want to eat. And if you’re not going to help me, leave my house right now.”
He burst into soft laughter, shaking his head. “Okay, okay. What do you want to eat?”
“I’ll figure it out in the kitchen,” she muttered.
“Can I carry you?” he asked.
“I’m too heavy.”
“You’ll never be too heavy for me. And you’re carrying my babies, so I have every right.”
He paused, then asked, “Are you… carrying twins?”
Ana looked at him, lips parting, then slowly nodded.
Mr. Kings stared at her in awe, as if he hadn’t heard her right.
“Twins?” he whispered.
Ana nodded again, slower this time, as her hand gently rested on her belly.
“Yes… I was going to tell you. But I didn’t know how. I thought you’d hate me for keeping it from you.”
He blinked hard, as if fighting back a flood of emotion.
His hand slid over hers, resting protectively over the bump.
“Hate you? Ana, you’re carrying my children. Two of them,” he whispered, the disbelief still settling in.
“You have no idea what this means to me.”
She looked up at him, her expression softening.
“Then why do you look like you’re about to cry?”
“I might be, f+k” he admitted, letting out a shaky laugh.
“I’ve been through hell thinking you didn’t want me anymore… thinking I’d lost you. But you were here, creating life… our life. And I wasn’t there for any of it.”
Ana leaned in and kissed his cheek again, slower this time.
“But you’re here now.”
He smiled, his voice low and rough. “And I’m not going anywhere.”
There was a small silence as they looked at each other.
Then Ana suddenly frowned and groaned.
“But seriously, Kings… if you don’t get me food right now, I might cry.”
He laughed. “Okay, okay. What do you want?”
“Boiled eggs… toast with strawberry jam… and maybe some pickles.”
He blinked. “Together?”
“Together,” she confirmed with a proud nod.
“Pregnancy cravings are terrifying,” he muttered as he slid out of bed.
“You’re terrified but turned on,” Ana teased with a lazy smirk.
He paused and looked at her. “I’m not gonna lie… it’s deeply confusing.”
As he walked out,.
Ana giggled, shaking her head, her hand resting on her belly again.
“Your dad’s officially crazy,” she whispered to the babies.
“But he’s ours.”
Mr. Kings returned a few minutes later,.
Balancing a tray with toast, boiled eggs, jam, pickles, and a tall glass of milk.
“I swear,” he said, setting it on the bedside table, “this combination should be illegal.”
Ana grinned, sitting up and fluffing the pillow behind her.
“But I love it. Smells perfect.”
He handed her the tray, then climbed back into bed, propping himself beside her, watching as she took a bite.
“I don’t get it,” he said, raising an eyebrow as she layered jam and pickles on the toast.
“How does that even taste good?”
Ana gave him a look. “You wouldn’t understand. You’re not the one carrying twins.”
He chuckled. “You’re right. I’m just the father of these future food critics.”
She chewed thoughtfully, then looked at him. “You know… your perfume is irritating.”
He blinked. “What?”
She sniffed the air dramatically. “It’s too strong. Smells like you bathed in the whole bottle.”
Mr. Kings laughed.
“Excuse me? This is Clive. It’s expensive. Sexy, even.”
“Well, right now it smells like cologne and ego,” she teased.
He faked offense. “Ego? Baby, I’m hurt. This is the scent of fatherhood and midnight snack delivery.”
Ana grinned, licking jam from her finger.
“I’m just saying, tone it down. These babies don’t like it.”
He leaned closer, lowering his voice.
“What about you? Do you like it?”
She rolled her eyes but smiled.
“I used to… when you weren’t irritating me.”
Mr. Kings laughed again, reaching to brush her cheek.
“God, I missed this. Missed you.”
Ana looked at him, quieter now. “I missed you too.”
They stayed like that a moment, her eating, him watching her like she was the only thing that mattered in the world.
Then he whispered, “I still can’t believe we’re having twins.”
Ana glanced down at her belly, rubbing it. “I still can’t believe we’re doing this together.”
“You’re not alone anymore, Ana,” he said. “You’ll never be again.”
She met his eyes and nodded softly.
Then passed him a bite of her ridiculous toast.
He took it, made a face, and muttered, “Still disgusting.”
Ana laughed, full and free. “You’re stuck with me now.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
********
“Good morning, lovebirds!” Clara called out, walking into the kitchen.
She stopped dead in her tracks, eyeing Mr. Kings with a smirk.
He was standing behind Ana, arms wrapped tightly around her waist while she stirred something on the stove.
He wasn’t even trying to help just busy kissing her neck and whispering something into her ear like she was the last woman left on Earth.
“You guys… I hope you’re not about to do anything in front of me,”Clara said, dramatically covering her eyes.
“I’m still young and innocent, okay?”
She pulled out a chair and sat down at the kitchen island, grinning.
Ana giggled, glancing over her shoulder.
“Good morning, Clara.”
“Morning! You look so pretty, by the way. Oh God, this pregnancy suits you. I’m actually jealous,”Clara said, eyeing Ana’s glow.
Ana laughed as she tried to nudge Mr. Kings away.
“Can you stop it?”she said to him, blushing.
“What? I’ve been missing my wife for six months,” Mr. Kings said with a lazy grin.
“Now that I finally have her, I’m allowed to kiss her as much as I want. Right?”
He tightened his arms around Ana and kissed her neck again.
“Clara, you should still be in bed,” he added.
“Like you said you’re young. Kids are supposed to sleep at this hour.”
Clara rolled her eyes. “Whatever. I’m going to see my friend anyway before we leave Paris. So today is all I have. You two will survive a few hours without being glued to each other.”
Mr. Kings let go of Ana and turned to face Clara.
“Friend? What kind of friend?”
Before Clara could answer, Ana chimed in.
“Don’t be jealous. Maybe it’s a girl.”
“It’s a boy actually. But he’s not my boyfriend. Just a friend from college,”Clara said quickly.
Mr. Kings narrowed his eyes.
“You’re not going to do that. Don’t go around calling boys your ‘friends’. Do you understand me?” His tone was sharp.
“Oh, come on!”Clara groaned.
“We just went to school together. There’s nothing going on. He’s literally just a friend. Innocent, harmless, and boring even.”
“Men and women can’t be just friends,”Mr. Kings muttered, looking sideways at Ana.
Ana raised her eyebrows, already knowing exactly where this was going, but said nothing.
Clara let out a loud breath.
“Okay, okay, I get it. But can I just go? I swear, it’s not a date or anything. I’ll be back in a few hours.”
“I said no, Clara and why are you dressed up like you’re going for dinner with the Prince of England?”
Clara stood up abruptly, annoyed. “Whatever. I don’t even understand why you’re so protective of me. I’m fucking nineteen, for f+k ‘s sake. You treat me like I’m fucken five!”She stormed out before he could respond.
Mr. Kings turned back to Ana, a bit stunned.
“Did she just curse at me?”
Ana smirked. “You kinda deserved it. You’re being way too extra. She’s nineteen, not nine. She’s allowed to have friends. And boyfriends too, if she wants.”
Mr. Kings sighed.”I’m just worried about her, okay? I don’t want her to get hurt like Samantha did.”
Ana turned back to her pot.
“She won’t. Clara’s smart, and she’s grown. You need to give her space to live her life. Stop being such a helicopter brother.”
Mr. Kings groaned dramatically, then wrapped his arms around Ana again from behind, kissing her neck gently.
“Okay, fine. I’ll let her go. But she’s not just going to be roaming around Paris like it’s Disneyland. This isn’t our city. I need to set some rules.”
Ana smiled. “Fair enough. Just talk to her, not at her. And by the way, Paris is safer than New York. Trust me.”
Mr. Kings turned her around to face him, cupping her face.
His lips brushed against hers, and his hand slid down to the small of her back.
“You always win, huh?”
Ana smirked. “Because I’m always right.”
***
“F+k, I missed you, baby,” Mr. Kings groaned as he tried to slide into her but she was just too tight.
He paused, looking down at her.
Her eyes were closed, lips parted, breath shallow.
“You’re tighter than ever,” he murmured, kissing her neck as he tried to stay in control.
Then, with a slow but firm thrust, he pushed inside.
Ana winced.
“It… it hurts,” she whimpered.
Mr. Kings stilled, pulling back slightly before easing in again deeper this time.
“That’s what happens when you keep your husband waiting for so long, baby doll,” he whispered against her skin, voice husky with desire.
He began to move, his hips finding a steady rhythm, each thrust making her gasp as the pain slowly gave way to pleasure.
Ana’s clit throbbed with every motion, heat building inside her as her body started to welcome him in completely.
Her hands reached out, fingers clawing at the wall for support as he drove into her, hitting every sensitive spot with precision.
“Oh… oh my God… I…” she moaned, her voice breaking.
Her p+sy clenching around his thick cock.
“That’s it,” he growled, gripping her hips tighter.
“Take me, baby.”.
“F+k, you feel so damn good,” he groaned, grinding into her as if trying to melt into her body.
“I’ve dreamed about this… about you.”
Her m+ans grew louder, raw and needy, echoing off the walls.
Her nails raked down his back, pulling him closer, urging him deeper.
“Don’t stop… please, don’t stop,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
His thrusts grew harder, faster her slick heat pulling him in, squeezing him tight.
He grabbed her leg, lifting it to his waist, angling her just right and when he thrust in again, she cried out, the tip of him brushing right against that sensitive spot that made her legs shake.
“Oh my God, right there,” she gasped, her thighs trembling as waves of pleasure rolled through her.
“You like that?” he growled, his voice strained with control.
“This p+sy is mine, Ana. Say it.”
“It’s yours,” she breathed.
“All yours, Charlie.”
Hearing her say his name like that, wrecked and begging, made him lose it.
He pounded into her relentlessly, her walls fluttering around him as her orgasm built.
Her body tightened, her moans breaking into gasps.
Then she shattered crying out his name as her climax hit her hard, her walls clenching around him, milking him.
He cursed under his breath, gripping her tighter as he came right after, his release surging deep inside her, filling her up completely.
****
Mr Kings held Ana close, her body tucked against his chest.
She rested her head on his shoulder, her eyes half-closed, glowing with that peaceful post-love warmth.
He wrapped his arms around her protectively, one hand resting on her belly, his thumb tracing slow circles.
“You okay?” he whispered against her hair.
Ana nodded lazily.
“More than okay. I feel like I’ve just… come home.”
He kissed the top of her head.
“You are home. Right where you belong.”
There was a long, warm silence.
Then he looked down at her belly, placing both hands gently on it.
“Hey…”he whispered, voice softer now, talking to their babies.
“I know I’ve missed a lot. But I’m here now. I swear, I’m not going anywhere.”
Ana smiled, watching him, tears pricking her eyes.
“You feel that?”he asked, pressing his cheek to her belly.
“That’s your mom’s heartbeat. The strongest, most beautiful sound in the world. And I’m going to spend the rest of my life protecting it. Protecting both of you.”
Ana’s hand slid through his hair gently as he kept talking.
“I hope one of you has her smile,”he said, chuckling softly.
“And maybe the other gets my stubbornness. But no matter what you look like, you’re ours. And I already love you more than life.”
Ana sniffled, laughing lightly. “You’re going to make me cry.”
He looked up at her with a warm, boyish grin.
“Then I’m doing my job right.”
She leaned down, brushing her lips against his forehead.
“They’re lucky to have you.”
“I’m the lucky one,”he said, pulling her closer.
