The murderousness in Dean’s expression thickened, extending behind his lids immediately he heard that. He dashed for the tree.

Hearing his approaching footsteps, Seraphina broke into another run, scurrying out from behind the tree, but her luck seems to have dried out.

Dean caught her by the back of her neck before she could even go two steps beyond the tree.

Thanks to the sweat on her skin, she was able to slip away from his hold.

Her race resumed.

Again, her luck was insufficient. Dean’s knife met her arm from behind. The cut tore across her skin, down to the elbow.

“Ahhh!…hh!! Ahh Dean!!”

Her voice sounded strangled, choked.

Her toes staggered into the dirt, bringing her to her knees. She grabbed the bleeding arm with her other palm, but it wasn’t enough to cover the cut. Blood trickled out of the spaces between her fingers.

The Estate ate her cries for late dinner, gulping it down.

“Seraphina, Seraphina….” Dean chanted, crouching in front of her, eyes sheening with craziness. “Those who touch my marked territories, don’t live to tell the story.”

“You tricked me,” Seraphina’s broken voice came. “Y…ou…you…”

“Mm-mm!” Dean placed the knife blade in the middle of her lips, shutting her up. “Don’t talk to me, your voice makes my ears itch too much. Tell me why a blessed man like me—Dean St. Graves, should have a stammerer as a wife.”

Seraphina gulped, her eyeball staring hurtfully at his own. She has been hearing this hurt from her parents and sisters for years, and she got used to the pain, but hearing it from a man she had loved for years broke something different inside her.

She felt scarred, all-over again.

And it might feel like they’re the only two here, but around them, she could feel the presence of the Priest.

From her peripheral vision, she could still see him standing there, gazing like a creep who belongs in the pit of the hottest hell rather than the sacred altar of a church.

He’s still there, watching.

“You realize I run an Investment Empire, right?” Dean’s voice found her ears again. “Now imagine if my First Lady is told to give a speech after a successful contract, you’d probably be like….I…ba…ba…ma…”

Dean couldn’t say more before laughing out derisively, the sound mockingly loud.

Unable to take the mockery anymore, Seraphina’s bloody palm flew up his face, but before she could smack him, he caught her by the wrist, brought that hand down into the dirt, and slapped her.

“Imbecile!!!” She cried.

He slapped her again.

“F+cka$s!!!” She wailed.

He slapped, again.

Then she plugged her teeth to his chest, biting into his flesh.

Roughly, Dean pushed her head off, smashing it to the ground before kicking her in the belly.

She rolled all the way back, clutching that tummy and groaning.

Dean rose, checking out his chest. The wound from her bite drew blood which soaked his shirt in a small circle.

“Cursed Stammerer!” He cussed, getting his phone and dialled his guards.

They stay in the Estate, too. They only moved to the back tonight at his orders, but now, this bi+ch here needs to be bundled.

Three hefty, heavily-built men appeared in black pants and blue shirts, all carrying guns.

“Take her to the mansion. Put a duct tape on her mouth and wrists and ankles, and wait for me.” He ordered.

“Yes Sir!” They echoed, tucking their guns in their holsters.

One of them threw Seraphina unto his shoulders with an hand like she weights a paper piece.

Her hair dangled messily as she was taken away in her weak state.

Then, Dean faced Tobias who’s STILL standing by that road.

He stalked to him like he’d jump into his head, but right in front of him, he stopped walking.

They’re both giant, but Tobias is taller by a notch, obviously.

His hands are still by his sides, palms nonchalantly open, gait straight.

“Now tell me, p+ssya+s, what the f+ck are you doing in my Estate?” Dean questioned.

“I wasn’t home when you built this estate and hosted housewarming party. I think it’s gentlemanly to come take a look.” Tobias said gently.

Dean scoffed.

“Gentlemanly? Can you stop this annoying facade? It’s making me wanna kill everyone related to you including myself! You enjoyed what I did to the Stammerer just now, didn’t you? I know you intentionally showed me her hiding place cos you knew I’d do that to her and you’d enjoy watching it! You still enjoy watching violence, and you still enjoy creating it!” Dean spat.

Tobias eyes went down, looking like the lashes would cover the eyes for a while before he suddenly grabbed Dean by the shirt—just the way Dean grabbed him by the stole of his vestment earlier in front of the Rectory.

An unintended grunt escaped Dean’s throat, but he swallowed it.

“I missed you, twin brother. Too bad you still didn’t grow taller than me. I’m disappointed.” Tobias whispered to his face, then he released him as suddenly as he grabbed him.

Dean was still wondering what that meant when Tobias walked down the road without looking back till he disappeared into the shadows.

“Sickas+!” Dean threw his fist, exhaling before heading back to the mansion.

When she arrived, Kelly was sitting on the armchair.

She treated her arm by herself with stuff from the first-aid box since the fork stab wasn’t very deep.

She bandaged her shoulder.

Now, she held up her glass of blue wine, cross-legged.

On the ground, Seraphina lay flat.

Her mouth is duct taped.

Wrists, wrapped with duct tape too.

Same with her ankles.

But her eyes are open. Her makeup is half-wiped, and now the bruises from the fight she had with her sisters yesterday are showing.

“Babe!” Kelly spranged up the moment she sighted Dean.

She threw her arms around him, and when she saw the little bleeding on his chest, she gasped.

“What the f+ck!”

“The bitch bit me, bit it’s ok… she’s got higher tortures to endure.” Dean said.

“Don’t worry, I’ll rub it with my p+ssy juice tonight, and it’ll heal. You know your skin loves my pussy too.” Kelly hung her arm on his neck.

“Nasty ass,” Dean smiled.

“Exactly,” she laughed. “By the way, we about to make it bigger from the newly signed contract with Redd Holdings. It’s hot.”

Kelly is the Analyst of Wrath Investments Empire. Apart from being his fiancee, she also works diligently in his company.

“I signed that contract hastily for a reason. The pros are a lot.” Dean nodded, kissing her shoulder bandage deeply.

“And I heard he is back,” Kelly suddenly frowned, disengaging from him. She dropped her wine glass.

“He?” Dean frowned too.

“C’mon you you who. Your bloody ass twin brother. The cultist turned Priest. He officiated your wedding with this Stammerer?” Kelly said.

“I didn’t wanna tell you cos you have no have no business with him, Kelly.” Dean cleared.

“You’re forgetting I was also a student of Hollow University,” Kelly parted her hair. At a spot on the scalp, there’s a big cut scar sitting there.

“He did this, Dean. Night of the faculty dinner, he didn’t only slash you with the cutlass, he also f+ckin slashed me!” She glared. “And you said I have no business with him? He’s paying every blood debt!”

“Sure he will,” Dean nodded. “You damn know he will, but for tonight, can we stay high? No Tobias talk.”

“Ok!” Kelly shrugged.

Together, they faced Seraphina who has been on the ground all along.

“Listen good, Seraphina. I married you for a reason known to only me, and torture is your sole purpose in this house. You listen to orders, your torture lessens, you disobey, you cry blood. The first rule is the curfew rule. Meaning; no matter where you go, by 7pm, you should be back to this estate and lock yourself in your room. If you come back by 7:01, I’ll kill you, and you’re aware that your family don’t care about you, so they won’t even ask for your body.”

As the words left Dean’s mouth, Seraphina couldn’t even react.

She’s still a bundle of duct tapes, helpless and hopeless.

“Take her to her room. Her duct tapes aren’t leaving her till tomorrow morning.” Dean continued.

The guards came back—two of them this time.

They bundled her on a shoulder again, and Kelly slapped her ass.

Seraphina struggled, and Kelly grinned.

“You don’t deserve that ass,I do.”

“Babe, you’re a ten. Your hourglass body is enough for me.” Dean’s palm stuck her own a$s.

“I knowww,” she drawled, chuckling.

[Redd Estate – Second Floor]

This floor belongs to Kimmy, her kid, and Acosta the husband.

Acosta is a live-in husband anyways. He’s the one who took Kimmy’s surname, going from Acosta Simpson to Acosta Redd.

At 9pm, the Skyscraper lights are still brightly on.

Peach is in her room, reading her textbooks after writing her assignments. But the noises from her parents room is distracting.

“F+ck! Costa!”

“My p+ssy is so sweet!”

“Yeah give me that black c+vk!”

“Right on the spot!”

“That damn place!”

Peach plugged in her headphones, playing one of her comfort piano tunes—Gibran Alcocer Idea 22.

Thankfully, that blocked out the noises.

Inside the parents room, Kimmy is under Acosta, taking his c+vk with a dog leash looped around his neck.

Whenever he doesn’t hit the right spot, she pulls the belt, and he gags and increases his pace.

For an hour now, he has been laboring on her, slashing like she’s a rock that’s unaffected by his efforts.

Her greedy pussy kept sucking him in, spitting him out, then asking for more and more.

“Ohh….” She fondled with her own breasts, rolling the n+pples between her fingers. “F+ck me harder!”

She pulled the leash on Acosta’s neck, and water flowed from his eyes at the insane tightness.

He tapped the bed, gagging, stopping.

Kimmy pulled, again.

“Kkkk….!!!” He choked, tapping again.

Kimmy let go of the leash finally, and he slid out of her hotness, angrily unstrapping the belt from his neck.

He threw the belt to the room corner. “You were on a mission to kill me?” He widened his eyes.

“What are you talking about? You didn’t even f+ck me good!” Kimmy swept her hair back, getting a weed roll and a lighter from the drawer.

“You nearly choked me to death with the leash!” Acosta spat.

“And you deserve it for not f+ckin me good!” Kimmy stood to him, blowing smokes to his face. “We got the surest investment today, tonight should be a night of celebration, and you should f+ck me so good till I pass out, but you failed! Why? Acosta, I know it’s because of Peach! Cos I made her go to school in the morning? What silly husband holds a grudge against his wife only because she made their daughter go to school!”

Acosta pointed a finger at her. “I can’t believe you’re proud of sending our sick daughter to school and pressuring her unhealthily!”

“Costa, I want you to get that finger off my face!” Kimmy glared, standing up to him. Nakedness stroke n+kedness.

“Ma’am, Sir, dinner has been set.” The maid announced at the door.

—

[Topmost Floor]

This floor is the penthouse of the skyscraper, and it’s where the heads of the building—Genevieve and Marley stays at.

Breakfast happens for everyone in this building on their individual floors, but dinner is where everyone bonds over food, so they must have it with their parents at the top floor.

Genevieve and Marley are already seated, but not eating yet as they’re waiting for the rest to join them.

“Congratulations to us as we sent off a bad luck today, and as we secured our biggest contract of the month.” Genevieve raised a toast.

“Cheers,” Marley clinked his glass with hers, and they drank to it.

“When are you wrapping up the shoot of the show you’re on?” Marley asked, dropping the glass.

“Should be done by next week, just few scenes left. Three sex scenes inclusive.” Genevieve muttered.

“Cancel it, you damn know my views about s+x scenes, Gene,” Marley held eyes with her briefly.

“What do think? I got a body double for the scenes. Ain’t no way I’m letting another man see what’s meant for just you, Marley.” Genevieve replied without looking at him.

“I found peace the day I found you, Gene,” Marley smiled.

“And you’ve been expanding, getting richer. I blessed you with brilliant kids except the one bad luck which we’ve finally cast out.” Genevieve raised her shoulders proudly.

Marley inched close, attaching their lips in a deep kiss.

The clearing of throats interrupted them as Kimmy and Acosta entered with Peach who’s holding her teddy.

They settled around the table too.

Kimmy made sure Peach sat beside Genevieve on the table.

“Hey, grandbaby,” Genevieve stroked her hair slowly.

Peach hid her shaky hands under her teddy bear before smiling warily. “Grams, Granps, I…I got full marks in my math tests today again.”

“Of course you did, you’re my grandbaby after all.” Marley stroked her hair too, and that made her gain some confidence.

She smiled widely.

Across the table, Kimmy smiled too.

Acosta is the only blank one. He still has red bruises around his neck from the insane leash.

“And why is Dora not here?” Genevieve asked.

“I know y’all wouldn’t eat your late dinner if you don’t see the crackhead of the family!” Dora said loudly, coming in looking drunk.

“What’s up family!” She raised her two hands in the air.

“Dora, the hell…” Marley sighed. “You drank, again?”

“It’s not an abomination for her to drink, Marley. Shake it off.” Genevieve replied.

“I’ll get her to her room,” Kimmy stood, getting a hold of Dora who’s still swinging herself.

“Kim! By tomorrow evening! Exactly 7pm, we have to go visit Talentless Frump in her new house. I wanna beat her ass, I miss beating her.” Dora said after belching, her arm going over Kimmy’s shoulder.

“Of course, but for now… inside!” Kimmy nodded, taking her upstairs.

The dinner started without the two, and Acosta felt really suffocated with only his wife’s parents here with him.

But they don’t even acknowledge him. They never do, unless it’s about work at the company.

So, they ate.

“About Valhalla Club,” Genevieve talked suddenly.

“Gene, can we not talk while eating?” Marley cut in with a smile.

“You know best,” Genevieve smiled back, returning to her meal.

[Caravan Road]

Street lamps. Bike headlights. Chants. Screams. Girls. Boys. Fun.

That’s the order of every fuckin night in this place. This is a government road, but Asphalt Kings seized it anyways, so at nights like this, the road gets blocked, and they race however they like around the city.

Asphalt Kings is the most popular bikers society in this city.

The bikers aren’t only madly good, but also madly handsome.

Rumours say it’s run by a powerful secret organization to launder money, and that’s why they could snatch the road from government.

But who cares?

The boys just want to race.

Here, Saint St. Graves is the top racer. Most girls come here only for him.

In bed, he’s A+, and on top of the bike, he’s A++

Saint rules the road here.

Like right now, everyone on the road is screaming his name except the jealous boys in the society.

Girls are topless—br+asts out. They only covered their n+pples with a star-shaped nipple cover.

They jumped, cheered.

“Saint St. Graves!”

“S.S Graves!”

“S.S Graves!!!!!”

Among the five bikes on the asphalt, he’s the first to arrive at the finishing spot, screeching hard.

He swung his leg over the bike, getting down energetically.

He took off his singlet soaked with sweat, and the girls snatched it from him, inhaling the scent of his sweat.

The rival societies nearly went feral with anger as they watched him.

Him again?

The second person to arrive on the asphalt was Tino.

Tino is the second best racer here, also Saint’s best friend.

He joined Saint, but the girls won’t let them pass through.

“S.S, heard you have a new Priest brother. Where’s the Church? I’d love to go worship there!”

“He’s really got blue eyes like they say? Gawd, Dean is hot, you’re sexy, I can imagine how hotter the Priest would be!”

“Drop the motherfuckin’ bombshell Saint! The Church name!”

Saint slanted his head, giving Tino a look which made Tino grin.

“Calm down, bi+çhes,” Saint faced the girls again. “It’s Savior’s Alive Church.” He dropped the bomb.

“Yes!”

“I’d suck your c+vk to compensate for this info!”

“Let’s go worship on Sunday!”

Saint was finally able to move to the side of the road with Tino.

Though, girls still followed them, but they’re lesser now.

They got themselves beers from the roadside bar, then they leaned on their bikes to drink.

“You just sold your brother out, bastard.” Tino laughed.

“I can’t call it selling him out. It’s more like supporting his ministry,” Saint grinned. “I don’t believe he changed. I don’t believe shit. He’ll wolf out soon, I can feel it.”

Tino frowned.

[Daybreak, Dean’s Estate – Seraphina’s Room]

The room felt less suffocating when Seraphina stirred awake. The duct tapes on her are all gone.

She’s free, but the spots where the tapes were wrapped are all red and brown. Results of overtime.

She stood from the floor, and she nearly staggered back cos of weakness that bored through her.

They couldn’t even get her to bed? They left her on the cold floor all night, and the AC is on too.

Her body aches. She feels cold.

She stepped out of the room.

Silence wrapped around the house like snakes.

The silence means Dean is out already. She heard Kelly’s m+ans last night till midnight. They must have f+cked each other till insanity.

It was hard to listen to.

And just like that, her life met another wreckage—worse than the one she was in at her parents house.

She’s stranded here in the hands of a evil man who has a fiancee.

Her only person is Allison, but she’d never depend on Allison who’s working hard to build herself.

Allison is from a poor family, but she’s living fine and comfortably because she works hard.

So she won’t burden her.

But the Priest—the Priest from last night. The one who couldn’t keep his mouth shut and ratted her out.

She’d confront him.

She has to.

She looked at the arm Dean tore with the knife last night. It hurts.

A car honk sounded outside, and she immediately recognized it as Allison’s Bugatti. She quickly returned to her bedroom and changed to long leggings and a long sleeve.

Then, she rushed back out.

Allison already entered the living room, right below the staircase.

“Girl, what….” Her face twisted immediately she saw Seraphina’s face with the bruises.

“These?” Seraphina pointed at her face bruises. “They’re from the fight with my sisters.”

“I know, but why do they look like they spread than before?” Allison came closer, holding her face delicately to check out.

“It’s because I got shagged so hard last night I’m so fuckin sore,” Seraphina lied through her teeth.

“Mmm!” Allison slanted back, cackling. “Of course you’re sore! I mean…. it’s Dean! Best D!”

“Exactly,” Seraphina chuckled.

“Mrs. St. Graves! You better go to the clinic to get the bruises treated and not rely on first aid.” Allison nodded.

“I’m about to go get soaked in the tub, wash up and go get it treated.” Seraphina cleared.

“Good, and Dean is where? At work? You got a workaholic husband.” Allison teased.

“You know that, but he got me breakfast in bed, left me a sweet note and mixed my bath before leaving,” Seraphina replied.

“Ou,” Allison poked her inner cheek with her tongue, and they laughed shortly while leaning on each other.

“Yesterday, you talked about hunting for connections to Valhalla Club….” Seraphina said. “Who are these Valhalla people?”

“You don’t know the most secretive wealthy men club in this City?” Allison gasped. “Shit, you’ve been cuffed up so long in that Redd Estate, so much you don’t even know what’s happening in the outside world.”

“Wealthy men Club?” Seraphina blinked.

“Yeah, and secretive. That’s why no one knows any of the members, but if you by any chance get to know any of the members and get connected through them, believe me, you’ve gone far.” Allison explained aptly.

“Seriously? They’re that powerful?” Seraphina replied, unable to blink as her interest piqued.

Allison’s phone bleeped, and she quickly checked, gasping. “F+ck, I’m late for my event! I’ll call you!”

“Careful!” Seraphina pecked her cheek.

“And don’t forget to go to the clinic! Get your bruises treated.” Allison shouted as she rushed out.

“Will do!” Seraphina shouted back.

Immediately Allison’s car drove out, Seraphina went back to her melancholy, but not for long.

She needs to get to the clinic, and she needs to get herself a job.

Most importantly, she needs to go confront the Priest.

She rushed upstairs.

[Graves Memorial Estates]

The St. Graves family major business is Graveyards.

Elite Graveyards.

They’re in charge of conducting the burials of elite wealthy people in this country. Even rich corpses from outside the country are flown into this place, just so they could rest in richness and sweet peace among the graves of other rich people.

The estate has acres of land that’s not advisable to count if sanity is still valued. It has been in use for years, and it kept getting expanded.

Black mausoleums for VVIP corpses.

Black private yards for VIPs.

And special black paradise for the rest of the rich corpses.

Rare black flowers and black roses that can’t be found anywhere else were grown on the rich soil, dragging vines of hell-bound beauty above and across the place. Tall peaceful trees with black leaves cast a devilishly glorious canopy everywhere.

Strange black birds lined the trees, grounds, grave tops. The security guards surrounding the property wore all black with black balaclava over their faces, leaving only their eyes out for seeing.

Everything is strange and gothic here.

The St. Graves brothers parents ran it before their deaths, and now Uncle Will is the runner.

Saint is dedicated to his race.

Dean is dedicated to Wrath Investments Empire.

And Tobias is now a Priest.

So…

Uncle Will is here, managing this dark chunk of business together with his Foster Home.

“How many hours left before the next corpse arrives?” He asked, standing in front of the incinerator in the incineration room with his workers.

The incinerator fire would burn anyone within even reasonable inches, so they stood far.

Certain people want their corpses incinerated and stored in a urn, actually. There’s also room for that.

“Next corpse arrives in two hours, thirty minutes.” A worker replied behind Uncle Will.

He didn’t respond.

He stared on, as if the words just flew over his head.

Now, he doesn’t look like the lively, generous Uncle Will that runs Kindred Foster Home.

He looks like a different, underworld Uncle Will, the CEO of this place.

“And Dean?” He finally talked back.

“It’s just like you suspected, sir. He married Seraphina for his own personal reasons. He’s still with Kelly.” Another worker said.

Uncle Will left the room.

[Savior’s Alive Church – Nuns Convent]

Confession period is going on with the Priest and members in the Church, and very soon, it’ll be communion time, so the nuns are busy praying for forgiveness.

They’re on their knees in front of the white cross, palms hugging in front of their faces, eyes closed as they prayed in silent whispers.

But Nun Estelle couldn’t even pray as properly as she should.

Her mind is filled.

She never knew this period would come. A period her faith would be shaken to its roots.

And the cause is the new hot Priest.

Father Tobias.

The night before last night, she dreamt of kissing him.

Yesterday, she saw him shirtless by his Rectory window.

Last night, she dreamt of kissing him, again. He even squeezed her br+àsts.

And since then, her n+pples has refused to soften.

They’ve been so painfully hard.

She’s so deep into this.

“So…” One of the other nuns started. “I heard the new Priest was a cultist in University. A brutal, wicked one.”

The eyes of the remaining nuns opened, including Estelle.

“We’re in prayers time, Nuns. We can’t get distracted by gossips.” Another nun—Grace, replied.

Grace is the most religious here.

“But this concerns the Church!” The gossiper said adamantly. “How can a former cultist become a Priest just because he went to seminary school? He’s not worthy of—”

“Shut up!” Estelle snapped. “He’s already Father Tobias. If you think he doesn’t deserve to be a Priest, then ascend to heaven and report to God!”

“Nun Estelle!” Grace cautioned.

Estelle stood and left the hall, angrily waltzing out of the convent.

She proceeded to the Church, and it was at that same time Seraphina’s Lexus drove into the premises.

Estelle stopped, awaiting who’s gonna come out, and at the sight of Seraphina, she looked surprised.

“The….bride?”

Seraphina came closer, unsmiling.

She went to the clinic to get her arm face treated already, now the face looks better.

Job hunting can start next week since tommorow is Sunday.

Now is confrontation time.

“Yeah, Miss Seraphina.” She responded to Estelle’s words. “I’m here to see the Priest.”

“Miss?” Estelle asked surprisingly.

This is a woman who got married yesterday. Miss???

But she minded her business and just answered her second sentence.

“Father Tobias is in the middle of the confession service right now with members, and—”

“I’ll wait,” Seraphina cut in.

—

[Inside The Church – 2hrs Later]

There are different sections to the sanctuary. Different room, different purposes. There’s the confession room, counselling room, donations room, and whatnot.

The confession room has been milling with members coming in and going out with smiles on their faces.

They’re mainly women.

The men are like five in the midst of twenty other people, and Tobias ears are full to the brim with their so-called sins.

Women can be funny.

“My husband isn’t treating me well, Father. What do I do?”

“My marriage is failing, Father.”

“My home is falling apart, Father.”

“The s+xual life of me and my husband is so poor, Father, and I don’t wanna sin by cheating. What should I do?”

And several others.

Is this not supposed to be confession of sin moment? Why are they wailing about their marriages?

The men are the only serious ones who actually confessed heavy sins.

As Tobias sat at the other side of the box separating the sinners from him, he has a dry smirk on.

People are boring.

He can’t see their faces cos of the box in the middle, he can only hear their voices, but by the voices, he could picture what their faces look like.

Thirsty women.

The man at the other side of the box right now is the last confessor today.

“I haven’t been attentive to my son, I spent my time on my woman, and now my son joined a cult, and—”

“Come back tomorrow for this confession.” Tobias cut him off harshly. It sounded cruel.

The man didn’t argue.

He stood and left the box.

Tobias got up and left his own box, too. He’s not in his vestments.

Today, he wore smooth black dress-shirt and slacks.

Coming out of the confession room, he met a visitor inside the church.

On the front row, Seraphina sat.

But she stretched to her feet immediately she saw him emerge.

She waited for two hours, and she has been preparing for this moment with those two hours.

She moved, steps fast but silent.

Tobias didn’t stop walking.

He didn’t act like he saw her.

She’s a breeze anyways.

He’d have bypassed her, but she blocked him with her palm ready.

That palm raised and flew to his face, smacking him across the cheek.

Tobias eyes changed color.

It was instant—too instant.

Hell and it’s inhabitants came to play in his eyeballs. Beastly and ruthless.

Wicked.

“You don’t deserve to be a Priest. How could you do that to me last night!” Seraphina accused angrily, looking like she’s gonna burst.

She’s literally looking up at him.

Height is insane. He’s huge.

For a second, the silence in the Church was loud, deafening, weird.

Seraphina’s heavy breaths couldn’t even puncture through it.

It was nonexistent.

Till the silence was punctured—by Tobias himself.

His left hand went up, and the back of his palm came down, meeting Seraphina’s cheek like thunder.

It wasn’t once.

Twice.

His backhand slap met her twice.

Seraphina’s nose bled out, and she fell to the chair beside her.

“Damnit, you unlocked me.” Tobias muttered darkly, stroking his wrist.

TBC.
