The steam from the two bathrooms wafted out to the doors, meeting them at the threshold as they both stood there, staring speechlessly at each other, not daring to look down at their transparent midsections.

Lucia literally doesn’t care.

All she’s thinking is why Ares would be here in the North and in this same abandoned inn with her at the same time she’s here.

As for Ares, it’s not because of what might follow if he looks. It’s not because of his morals since he has none to protect.

What moral would a killing machine like him who kills for fun have left?

But he’s holding himself back cos he’s not all about that body. He’s not all about the skin or the beauty.

But temptation is a devil who resides in hot lava, and it kept pulling at his strings, wanting to force him the look down at her transparent midsection, but he pulled himself away from the claws of temptation by wrapping his fists into tight balls.

His throat bobbed.

Up.

Down.

Two serpent-like sweat lines snaked down his Adam’s apple, teasing his restrains.

He almost snapped.

But he balled his right fist tighter, grabbing the doorframe quickly with his second hand.

His lips parted as his eyes stayed on her ruthless, lifeless face.

Lucia’s shock only lasted a second. She’s a statue with barely any emotion left in that chest, so he’s used to her coldness.

His words nearly penetrated the suffocating silence, but his brain wouldn’t load the right words, and that was when he got the idea that things aren’t supposed to be like this.

Lucia isn’t supposed to be here, unless Bones sent her on this same mission too, and if she sent her on the same mission, it means…

A test?

If this is a test, then they’re probably not alone in this house.

Bones definitely has spies in this house and around the forest to watch their mouth and body languages.

Given Bones personality, he probably has spies hiding inside the wall of this inn too.

But initially before he tried to form alliance with Lucia, he used to try to talk to Lucia, but Lucia never replied, so that should naturally be the protocol right now.

He moved from that door, letting his smirk sharpen the corner of his lips. “His Majesty’s favorite Minister is on this one too? Interesting.”

Lucia left her door too, but instead of replying, she walked off like she always did, and he had to hold his breaths as her jasmine gagged him.

He wants to turn around and stare at her back view in those underclothes, but he couldn’t.

He dare not ruin this.

So, he stood there, keeping the smirk alive before entering his room at the other side of the balcony.

He pulled a long robe jacket on his shoulders and stood in the middle of the room, looking around and trying to decipher where spies might hide in this kinda settings.

The floor of this inn might be old, but it’s controlled by hydraulic metals, so no one will hide there.

The walls are stones, so there’s no way anyone would hide there too.

He looked up, and immediately his eyes caught little cracks on the black ruby ceiling, his smirk fell.

They’re there—in the ceiling.

Bones spies.

—

[Lucia’s Room]

Lucia dressed up in a red robe with black pomegranate designs when she returned, and she sat in front of the mirror, check-ng herself out like she doesn’t care about the spies in this inn or Ares in the next room.

She knew Bones would be hard to fool. In fact, she knew he was going to find out about her foolery later, but she didn’t expect it to come this fast, and she didn’t expect this immediate reaction from him.

But when a player meets master players, the chessboard tightens.

She zoned her attention back to the mirror and inserted a comb in her hair, brushing. She did for few minutes before tying it in a ponytail.

She stood, walking to the closest window which she pushed open to have a view of the rainforest thrumming and rapping outside.

Bones spies hid well, but not enough to hide their little shakiness. She could see them shaking with the leaves of the greenery.

Her face stayed emotionless as she swung the window shut.

Food has been made ready in the inn kitchen even before they got here, so she entered the kitchen for some lychee desserts, and at the same time, Ares entered for some roasted duck.

They nearly collided between the kitchen walls, but Lucia avoided that fast, slipping behind that column.

The tension resting in the air could kill hellfire. It was too cold, and at the same time too hot, but all of it?

It’s on Ares.

He’s feeling it in every breath, every inhale and exhale. Every move of his shoes and bob of his throat.

Every blink.

He carried it all like a curse as he gathered his roasted duck on his plates and dished the soup too, plus the small jar of plum wine.

Lucia left the kitchen with her desserts first, and she noticed Ares’s fingers beside his tray.

His right fingers have three stretched ones, and his left one has two stretched.

She understood and slipped through the door.

Area followed behind to the balcony.

There are two tables facing each other, and he already placed his sword on the first one.

Lucia walked past that one and went for the other one, setting her desserts down and placing her knife beside her tray.

She began eating.

Ares went down on his own table, right beside his sword.

He began eating too.

As each soft piece of meat entered his lips with the chopsticks, he counted the minutes, and at the second second minute, he looked up.

As each bite of cake fell in Lucia’s mouth, she counted the minutes too, carefully. At the third minute, she looked up.

Her eyes met with Ares’s across the room.

They communicated secretly with their eyes. Lashes, eyeballs, lids and eyebrows.

And they understood.

As they communicated, they ate.

The spies on the roof alerted the ones around the forest through Bones errand cat. They brought the cat for this mission actually.

The black cat rushed down inaudibly to meet the forest spies, dropping the note for them.

Their frontman checked the note…

★ Send the first pigeon. No unusual communication or attempts. Ares tried to initiate a conversation, and as usual, she ignored coldly.

The frontman squeezed the note away immediately and sent the first pigeon to Somara City for Bones.

—

[Zura – Somara City – Bar]

The sidekicks were out of the bar by the time Lothar was able to get Doja out of his way.

Meng? Qui? Falcon? Limon?

They’re all gone.

Like they vanished.

Disappointment settled too deep in his being, and he squeezed his brows, staring deeply at the chair Qui was sitting on as if he could conjure her back there with his mind.

“General?” Doja called behind him.

He turned slowly.

“Are you looking for someone? I can help you look.” She smiled widely, reaching for his arm.

He shifted away.

“She’s gone, you don’t have to worry. Have a good day.” He said softly.

“She?” Doja blinked. “It’s a female? Is she a friend?”

“Nevermind,” Lothar did a smooth turn and went for the exit, but Doja rushed after him again…

“General! Gene—”

Lothar stopped by the door, facing her. His face shows he’s exhausted from her prying already.

“I heard His Majesty refused to restock the military ration and told you to manage, but that’s unadvisable since there’s a war tommorow. So I’m going to help.” Doja smiled again.

“Help?” Lothar frowned.

“Yes!” Doja nodded, bringing out a bank ledger with her fingerprint.

“Look! I’ve been working for His Majesty, treating Lucia’s mother since I was ten, and I’ve earned a lot which I didn’t touch. Gold, silver, jade, ruby and sapphire. It’s all in the treasures bank. You just have to take my fingerprint ledger to the bank, and you’ll be given the treasures. Sell them and feed the armies for a whole year with it.” She tendered.

“What!” Lothar frowned.

“Just take it!” Doja pushed it forward, but Lothar’s frown just deepened.

“I’ll never borrow money to sustain the army, Miss Doja.”

“I’m not borrowing you, I’m giving you!” Doja shook her head.

“Miss Doja!” Lothar snapped.

She blinked twice.

“General…”

“Don’t do this again, it’s degrading.” Lothar muttered, offended, then he walked out on her.

Doja remained there, entranced till she got back to her senses and ran out, rushing after him.

He was already on his horse, galloping away, his cape blowing with the breeze.

Doja stood there, clutching her ledger in her two hands.

“But he likes me, why is he so shy?” She muttered.

—

At the backyard of the bar, the sidekicks are all present, except Falcon who’s at the entrance of the yard, watching as Lothar’s horse rode away fast. He came back to meet the rest, his arms folded over his chest.

“He’s gone,” he said.

Qui looked up.

She’s helping Meng treat and bandage her shoulder stab.

Limon the stabber sat at the back, looking so grim.

“Why was General Lothar coming to you anyways?” Falcon asked.

“Why the hell would she communicate with you?” Meng responded, standing and pulling her robe to cover her shoulder.

“Cos we’re all sidekicks, and we might work for different masters, but we’re still servants who should work together and also make our masters collaborate cos that’s the only way they can start this stuff!” Falcon yelled at Meng’s face.

“I and Qui wanted peace before, but you and Limon were too hard to tame, so I had to join the violence, and I’m sure that’s why Qui joined too!” Falcon continued, giving Qui a soft but resolute look.

Qui nodded.

Meng rolled eyes, and Limon stood from where he sat, his eyes refusing to soften even the slightest.

“Now, what’s your point, Falcon?”

“My point is we need to walk the same path. We’re on our way to look for the origin of the anti-venom. We even have the pill.”

“You guys have the pill?” Qui blinked, too interested.

Falcon revealed his palm, revealing the pill Lucia gave them.

“We’re tasked with looking for the origin of the gun.” Qui said.

“Then we’re good to go. Anything to make Horror get what she wants,” Falcon nodded.

“Anything to keep Calamity going.” Qui smiled sweetly, adjusting her quiver of arrows on her back.

Falcon snapped his fingers, smiling too, and they both walked out of the yard side-by-side.

Limon looked at his bloody dagger, then at Meng who’s still glaring at him.

He walked out too.

Meng went last.

The four head towards the Medicine Valley of Somara to investigate the pill.

—

[Zura Army Camp]

“My premonition came true. We’re going to war tommorow with empty stomachs!” A comrade barked.

“We can manage hunger as we’re already old here, but look at the new youths!” He pointed at the hopeless youths on the campground. “It’s enough that they have inadequate trainings, but hunger too?”

“We’re losing the war tommorow, it’s very sure. For the first time in years, we’ll lose to Fenxi!”

The comrades couldn’t stop talking of probabilities.

Words borne out of fear and anxiety.

They should be on their final warmups from now till midnight, but they can’t even do that.

They’re all going to be dying tommorow anyways, but that theory changed when Lothar suddenly galloped into the camp with several other errand horses behind him, carrying bags of rice, oil, meat, flours and all other kinds of foodstuffs.

They’re much, and when the horses stopped coming in, headless carriages rolled in too, full to the brim with food they nearly didn’t see anywhere to stand in the lot.

The comrades stared, stunned, and the youths turned, staring with shock too as Lothar directed the stuff into the granary.

“General Sir!” The comrades ran to him, breathless. “You actually loaded the granary with your own money?”

“Carry the salt next!” Lothar directed the carriers, ignoring his comrades whose shocks are still chunky.

They kept staring at him like he’s some deity, lost for words.

“Ge-ne-ral!” One of them suddenly raised his fist to the air.

“Ge-ne-ral!” Another one raised.

They continued raising one by one till every army in the camp are chanting his name happily.

“Ge-ne-ral!!!”

Lothar didn’t know when he started smiling, grinning even.

The youths all hugged him, trapping him in the middle even when lots of them couldn’t touch him at all.

They were too filled with gratitude they couldn’t even say anything useful than chanting.

Lothar’s grinned loudened, but unknown to him, the fairy’s earring in his pocket is gone.

Someone stole it.

[Void Palace – Empress Sally’s Chambers]

Sally didn’t get the news of Lucia’s bloody kiss with the Emperor till she returned this morning.

But her anger didn’t even swell like she expected it to do.

After all, she has a goal she’s currently chasing. Once her plans fall in place, Lucia will be as easy to remove as a little stain.

That whore doesn’t even deserve to die in this Empire. She’ll have her trafficked to the Brutal Territory and have her enslaved there alone.

Lucia deserves all the pain in this world.

Everything.

Sally sat dignified behind her meal table, writing slowly, addressing it to her special spies in Aloof Dessert.

★ Kill Fadey, and Destroy Devora’s face, then thriew her body in a forgotten cave to rot. Leave no traces of me in the killings. His Majesty mustn’t find out that I’m behind it.

She folded the note and sent it out through a maid.

Princess Ina entered.

“Daughter,” Sally’s face lit up.

“Mother, your lip!” Ina gasped, rushing forward to check.

“Your father is a sadism freak, Ina. You shouldn’t be surprised he did this to me during intimacy last night.” Sally sighed, unbothered.

“But it’s too much! It’s enough that he humiliated you! He has refused to let me enjoy my husband since we got married; it’s always one mission or another, but he’s now dragging you into his sadism? I hate him!” Princess Ina said stubbornly, settling down and taking the cup of tea to sip.

“You ordered Enya to crawl to your Palace on her knees?” Sally raised a long brow.

“She deserves it! For what her mother did, she should have been begging me for forgiveness daily, but she never showed. She knows I hold grudges, so she was testing my limit, and I’m willing to teach her a lesson.” Ina said proudly, dropping the cup.

“The mother is becoming my bi+ch too, very soon.” Sally smiled.

“What do you mean?” Ina frowned inquisitively.

Before Sally could push an answer out, Ina’s maids rushed in.

“Your Highness! Miss Enya is at your Palace. The crawl!” They reported.

Ina stood and followed them.

Empress Sally also followed, but she did it unnoticed.

When Ina arrived at the Palace of Darkness, Enya was really there with bloodied knees and palm.

She had crawled all the way from Duan residence to this place, and the only thing keeping her alive right now is the hope her mother gave her.

She’s going to become an adopted Princess soon.

She had to wear the wooden hand on her stump, and she’s sure the stump is back to square one now.

She could feel the bleeding inside the wood, but she made sure to keep the wooden hand inside her long robe sleeves, so only one palm is out, and that palm and her knees?

They’re unrecognizable.

Peeled, bruised, bloody, all from crawling.

Odessa followed her here, and she stood behind her daughter, rigid.

“Can she stand now, Your Highness?” She asked impatiently.

Princess Ina lifted Enya’s chin with her index, and when their eyes met, painful tears rolled out of Enya’s eyes.

Ina smiled.

“Very good, complete. Exactly what I want to see. Those tears, sweat, and blood.” She muttered evilly.

“I’m sorry I didn’t come to see you,” Enya sniffled, thinking about every brutal thing she’d do to Ina once she becomes an adopted Princess.

“Of course you should be sorry!” Ina spat, letting go of her chin.

Behind, Odessa looks on edge, hoping no one will notice that only one of Enya’s hand is out.

In the herbal garden not far from them, Empress Sally stood with two maids bowing behind her.

Her eyes are glued to Odessa, and her intentions are clearly murky.

“From now on, find someone to monitor Odessa’s period. I need to know when it stops so I can monitor her pregnancy.” She said.

“Y-es… Your Highness.” One of the maids bowed and stepped out.

Sally raised her chin, snickering.

[Third Hall]

The first pigeon arrived two hours ago, indicating that there’s no interaction, and that Ares didn’t get a reply when he talked to Lucia.

Now, the second pigeon note has arrived, and as Bones read it, he looks too calm for Minister Kai’s liking. Kai has been in this hall with Bones since daybreak, awaiting the notes, and it’s annoying that Bones isn’t getting annoyed.

Meaning, those two tricksters are tricking Bones well.

The same people who collaborated to cut off Enya’s hand?

The only reason he’s not telling anyone about how Ares cut off Enya’s wrist cos of Lucia’s mother is because Enya’s hand has to remain a secret.

No one would want to marry a handless woman, not even exiled Prince Fadey would do that, so it really has to remained buried.

Bones finished reading the note and passed it to him.

He took it and read…

★ They spent two hours in the inn before Lucia stepped out and entered the Northern tribe town. After few minutes, Ares stepped out too. Now they’re both in town, browsing.

“Ares is a womanizer who’d naturally want a woman to climb with his free-time, but Lucia? She hates crowd, so why would she leave first? Isn’t that suspicious?” Kai pointed.

“Lucia hates crowd, but she doesn’t hate rain. She likes the rain cos she used to play in it with her father as a kid. Naturally, she’d want to browse through the rainy town.” Bones said.

Kai relaxed, carefully.

Bones returned to approving the incoming tax register as Edwin sent them in through guards.

“About the exiled Prince,” Minister Kai started, and Bones brush stopped on top of the detailed register markings.

“Are you really going to let him and his mother die in Aloof? I know you hate him because he’s the son of a concubine, and you hate his mother because he’s a concubine, but they’re still a part of your—”

“One more word,” Bones cut in, raising his lids. “I’ll cut off your tongue.”

Kai went silent, but not for long…

“Your mother—the Empress Dowager, it’s been long since she made a public appearance. When is she going to come see you?”

“I don’t care about the Dowager, Kai.” Bones grunted. “She doesn’t have the ability to love anyone who’s not my dead father, she can’t even love me—her own son. Why should I care about her seclusion?”

Minister Kai nodded, deciding it’s best to go silent now.

—

[Northern Zura – Tribe Town]

After series of eye communication and secret codes and signs, the shadow Ministers were finally able to leave the inn one after the other.

They still have five hours before their missions, so there’s time to go around and sightsee.

Lucia wore her veiled hat to cover her face as she’s very popular in all parts of Zura, and she has enemies of people she has killed their families for Bones. Enemies she doesn’t want to attract to herself today.

Though, she’s in the mood to shed blood, but she prefers blood of people she choose to kill by herself, not people who choose to die by her hand. Even in her killings, there are standards and protocols.

That’s the point.

But Ares?

He wants to kill people today.

He’s thirty for blood. Red. Death.

So he walked with his face open and a old herbal pipe between his lips which he’s smoking slowly.

He was recognized immediately he stepped into the busy town, and women got shamelessly soaked.

Some even left their husband’s side to gawk at him without minding consequences.

• Lord Ares!

• What’s Lord Ares doing in the North?

• Is that important now? He’s already here!

• I want to be his wife so bad!

• Wife of a killer?

• Who cares? He’s handsome!

• I want to touch that face!

• gods are so unfair! How can a man be this sinfully… good-looking!

His unsheathed sword hung between his palm, and his robe got slightly wet from the light rain thrumming.

People of this tribe have braided hairs, tanned skin, dull robes with poor embroideries, and more muscular bodies than people in Somara.

That’s their distinction, so it’s understandable that they’re swooning over Ares so much.

Smokes from his herbal pipe followed him as he walked with his eyes on every part of him.

Lucia walked ahead of him, still veiled, enjoying the zero attention she got.

Bones guards are everywhere in the town cos they followed them secretly from the inn.

They’re waiting for them to have even the slightest interaction so they’ll have sweet news to report to the Emperor.

The noise of the town soon started drifting past them, and as Lucia walked past a restaurant, Prince Zaine came out of it, smiling. His golden coloured rich robe stood out in the clench of the dull town.

Lucia might be veiled, but he still recognizes her. He has her painting that he stole from Ruyi. Also, Lucia’s aura is unmistakable.

He was smiling in mystification as he stared at her perfection.

It’s his first time seeing her in person.

Though, he’s not seeing her face, he could already smell her.

Jasmine.

He inhaled the air sharply, and the smell intoxicated him so bad he nearly fell back, but then he saw the second person.

Ares!

Unveiled. Open. Nonchalantly smoking his herb as he walked past.

The killing tool himself.

Ares Merciless Hellion.

“No way, no darn way…” Zaine muttered, wanting to go after them immediately, but he was blocked.

Blocked by Bones spies.

Unfortunately for him, they sighted him ogling, and he was recognized as the Prince of Fenxi.

Zaine recognized the Zura badge on their uniforms immediately, and he moved back, but they’re also there.

He has been surrounded!

He reached for his sword, but the metal was kicked away from him.

Since he’s not trained, he easily staggered, and he was hit in the head.

He fell heavily to the ground.

Meanwhile, Ares and Lucia are still on their cat and mouse game, and now seems to be the right time as they’ve arrived in the middle of the town where the crowd is thick again.

Ares stopped naturally, bringing out a heavy purse of silver ingots from his robe pocket. He dropped his herbal pipe and smiled his seductive smile, melting more hearts and wetting more underwear.

“Who said I was going to pass through without blessing the women? I’m for the women!” He growled, throwing up the ingots.

And it happened.

The fight he anticipated.

The rush. The clamor.

The women rushed insanely to the middle, aiming for just one.

To them, it’s not the silver that matters.

It’s the fact that it belongs to Ares, and it’s definitely going to smell like him.

They want his scent, so they fought for it, and the shadows used the clamour to escape the guards.

They both met at the end of the town alley, and as they lunged for each other, there’s death and smokes from Hades in their eyes.

Destruction and Everything hot.

They slammed into each other, hands grabbing each other in the throat like long separated enemies who just met after years of simmering, marinating hatred.

“Why the heck are you on the same mission as me!”

“Why the hell did you kiss that scallywag on the throne last night!”

Their heatedvquestions came out at the same time, and Lucia smirked.

“I will kiss whoever I want, thick rascal!”

“And I will go wherever the hell I want! Bloody thing!” Ares spat back.

“The target is a female who loves both males and females—a bi×esual one. Watch how I trap her with my body, and kill her right in front of you.” Lucia whispered threateningly.

“You said bi×esual, so let’s see how wet she’s going to get when he sees my c+vk. I won’t kill her in front of you. I’ll kill her while she’s sucking my hood, and I’ll shove her body down your throat!” Ares snarled.

Their hands left their throats at the same time, and Lucia’s veil unwrapped from her head.

Two tribal men entered the alley, coming straight for them.

“You killed my father!” The first one yelled, lunging at Lucia with a spear.

“You killed my friend!” The second one lunged at Ares, swinging a spear too.

Ares leapt up, climbing the roof and escaping that alley.

The man went after him, leaving Lucia and the second one there.

Lucia didn’t bother getting her knife. She stood there till he arrived and threw the spear, but she tilted sidewards sideways the instant the spear sliced through the air.

The weapon grazed her sleeve before burying itself into the wall behind her. The man barely had time to curse before she closed the distance like a storm, her leg going up to crash into his throat—hard enough to stagger him backward.

He swung wildly with a dagger, fast and brutal, but Lucia ducked beneath it, drove her knee into his ribs, then spun behind him with terrifying accuracy.

The alley echoed with grunts, steel scraping stone, and the sharp sound of flesh taking blows as the tribal man fought with desperate fury, landing a cut across her arm that only made her eyes darken further.

He roared and charged again, but Lucia met him head-on. She caught his wrist mid-strike, twisted it until the dagger clattered away, then slammed her forehead into his nose.

Blood burst down his mouth. Before he could recover, Lucia seized the back of his neck and drove her elbow viciously into his jaw once…

Twice…

The second hit dropped him flat onto the ground like broken slab.

She stood above him breathing hard, blood dripping from her arm while her expression remained cold enough to freeze the alley itself.

From the last house in the alley, Bones spies watched.

They caught up with the shadows just one minute ago after they lost them at the middle of the town rush.

—

Ares ran with his own opponent to the forest.

He burst through the forest like a beast, branches snapping beneath his boots as the tribal man chased after him with murderous rage.

The moment they reached the clearing, the man lunged with his spear, forcing Ares back a step.

However, he caught the spear shaft mid-thrust and ripped it aside with raw strength.

The fight turned savage instantly.

Fists, knees, and blades flashed beneath the dark trees.

The tribal warrior was powerful, driving punches into Ares’s ribs, but Ares fought like violence itself had taken the form of human.

Every strike he delivered carried horrifying force.

The man roared and charged one final time, raising, but Ares sidestepped him at the last second and hooked an arm around his neck from behind.

Savagely, he drove his sword blade deep into the man’s side.

His ribs pierced his stomach, peeking out ghastly.

He cried out helplessly.

Ares kicked the back of his knees hard enough to force him down.

The tribal man choked on his scream, clawing weakly at Ares’s arm, but Ares only leaned closer, cold impatience burning in his orbs.

Then, he slammed one ruthless blow across the man’s throat, ending the fight and letting the body collapse lifelessly into the forest.

Finally, blood has been spilled.

Ares looked up at the pieces of the blue sky creeping in through the webbed leaves.

He cracked his neck side to side, lulling it in satisfaction.

From behind the leaves, the spies watched silently.

—

[Fenxi Empire Imperial Court]

Though, everything is set, and every motion is ready to roll, the disappearance of Zaine cast a fearful fog on the Empire.

Everyone’s restless.

Spy guards has been sent out of the city to Northern Zura to look for him, but there has been no news.

Ruyi has been trying to follow them in the search, but Empress Teyana has been holding her down tightly.

They can’t have two royals in the cage of Zura people.

Emperor Ashes sat restlessly with his officials in front of him, looking as disturbed as he has never been all his existence.

If Zaine gets caught as an hostage by Zura people, then it’s over.

If means they’ve lost tommorow’s war already.

Shakily, Empress Teyana entered the court, and Emperor Ashes got up.

“Your Majesty! Your Majesty please deploy more guards! More guards I beg you! My son is definitely in the hands of Zura people already! Zaine is definitely with them so—”

“Teyana,” Ashes said calmly.

“How can you be so calm when your Prince is missing! How can you be calling my name!!!” She yelled.

Ruyi rushed into the court too, breathing heavily, determined.

“I’m going to Northern Zura myself, and I’ll bring my brother back before tommorow morning and mangle the Zura tribal people!” She informed and turned around to leave…

“Stop her!” Emperor Ashes and Empress Teyana shouted.

Guards rushed in, surrounding her without leaving a space.

Ruyi pulled out her brass knuckles and wore it, gritting her jaws.

She went for them, slamming everyone who gets in her way to the ground professionally.

“Let me go!!!!” She screamed.

—

[Northern Zura – Inn]

It’s that time of the night.

Time to move.

The female target will be at the most popular brothel in town tonight.

The inn lanterns are still on when Ares came out in his fl+rty gauze robe—the type he wears to the brothel in Somara City.

Just that… This one is more s+ductive.

The fabric is hugely expensive and smells like pinewood naturally. His hair is in a buss down, falling on his back, and his lips are tinted.

The v-neck of his robe is fatally lower than his usuals, and his weakness mark is out, but he drew a temporary tattoo on top of it to cover it.

He drew a single bird wing on that chest, and it peeked out beautifully.

He got on his horse in one precise leap from the ground, but before he could urge the horse to move, Lucia came out.

Her robe isn’t her usuals, too.

It’s a short corset robe—colour purple, and the shoulder line is so low her bre+sts are pushed.

Pushed so high they popped like balls in their confines.

Her silky hair isn’t in a ponytail. She poured it down tonight, and it’s reaching her bum and beyond, decorated with thorny flowers.

Makeup is so heavy she looks like a different person—too tempting to look at.

A intoxicating venom.

Colourful jewels clung to her like a second skin—ruby and jade.

They winded around her legs, glimmering on her arms, circling her neck, and dripping from the delicate straps of her shoes and the slutty short flay of her robe.

On the weakness mark on her wrist, she drew the temporary tattoo of a single butterfly wing, its dark curves spreading elegantly enough to disguise what lay beneath.

Ares ran mad.

Yeah. His sanity fell in the mud.

He stared as though he had never truly looked at anyone before.

The rainforest noise around him faded into a distant hun, his eyes tracing every jewel, every line of her skin, every subtle movement she made.

For a fleeting moment, she did not seem human to him, but something dangerously unreal—like a vision dragged out of a dream and forced into the human world.

Even the cold ruthlessness carved into his soul paused, held captive by the sight of her.

And when she jumped on her horse?

Her bre+sts streamed s+ductively inside her corset robe cups.

Ares’s head cracked.

His manhood stretched underneath.

She gave him a intentional smirk before putting on her veiled hat.

She pulled the reins of her horse, and it sprinted off with a jump

Ares didn’t wait long.

With no sanity, he smirked.

He seduces best when he’s mentally unwell like this, so… tonight…

He’s going to give his best to the female target, seduce her, then kill her and shove her body down Lucia’s throat as promised.

Time to show her who the king of the brothel is.

“Go!” He pulled his horse reins.

The animal ran.

TBC.
