“What’s going on Pis..?” He asked walking up to her. His eyes was filled with shock, she looked crazy. He held her on the shoulders.

“Hey, you look awful.” Katie taunted. “Were you chased by hoodlums?”

“Uh..” Pispa brushed off his hands, she looked up at him with a forced a smiles. “Babe, I uh..”

August looked over her shoulder and saw hickeys, his eyes widened. “H — Hickeys? H—How did it appear on your shoulders?”

“Hickey?” Pispa breathed.

She should have known that lunatic did that.

“Uh.. the hickeys…? Uh I think that’s uh.. a grease from someone I ran into.” Pispa lied.

August shot her an awkward stares. “You sure cause that looks like hickeys.”

Pispa smiled, she isn’t ready to let him know what she was doing on right now.

“And that reminds me.. your phone was switched off since last night. What’s wrong Pi’s..” August grabbed her hands again looking in her eyes.

There was a hint of fear in his eyes. Well.. he and Pispa met some months ago. She was his tutor to be precise and slowly August felled—he felled harder.

And since then, he doesn’t want to let go of her. “You looked so bad.. are you going through some hard days?” He added again.

Katie sighed. Her heart tingled the moment she saw how worried August was, she wished he was for her.

Pispa sighed. “Look..” she placed her both hands on August shoulders, looking him in the eyes. “I forgot my phone at my mum’s store and I left it switched off.” She flashed in a wild smile, adjusting his collar.

“Do you by chance walked past my house?..”

August shook his head. “I was afraid your mum would scold you again.”

“What’s wrong Pispa? You looked so panicked and Mr. Wreker was so worried you didn’t come to class.” Katie chipped in.

“Uh.. I will talk to you guys tomorrow okay?” She gave the two a lopsided smiles. “I will tell you everything okay?” She added rushing off.

He instinct wouldn’t stop telling her that Hazard might come looking for her—maybe in her house of so.

“Isn’t she acting weird?” Katie folded her arms.

“She is.. something could be wrong.” August said thoughtfully as she watched Pispa running along the crosswalk.

“Okay. Maybe you should leave her for a while.” Katie shrugged as she turned towards August.

He nodded. “But not longer.”

Shirin, Ronnie and her children were heading outside of the alleyway, went they met Pispa in a mess, she was on bare foot, her white Flora gown was stained with blood.

Her bleeding hands weren’t left out.

As Ronnie spotted her, he left Shirin heading towards her. “what’s wrong? Are you okay?”

Pispa sent him a dagger stares pushing him off her as she rushed towards Shirin and hugged her tightly. The tears in both their eyes rolled off.

“We are so worried. Where have you been since last night? And your clothes..?” Shirin asked quietly. Pispa was mute, her mind went back to the time she was with him.

“Are you three okay? Hope no one came last night attacking? How about Dad? Did he returned home last night?” Pispa breathed when she disengaged from the hug as she scrutinized their body one after the other.

Mel stared at her doubtfully. “Is anyone after you?” Her hand slowly clung around her chests. “And you are bleeding hope you didn’t cause trouble again?” She added.

“Look guys, we need to relocate, I think someone is trying to hurt us, mum.” Pispa panicked.

“A relocation?” Shirin asked surprisingly. “Remember we recently got this apartment because of the nature of your dad’s job, we can’t leave.”

“And who is hurting us?” Dulcie chipped in.

“We should be talking about the reason you didn’t return home last night and your phone was switched off.” Shirin interjected.

Pispa sighed as her eyes felled on Ronnie who was watching them quietly—he is the only that knows what she is going through right now, she licked her lips.

“Okay, I will do that if, we first of all relocate… There is not time left for us mum.” Pispa grabbed Shirin’s hands.

Ronnie walked in, he took her to a corner. “Why don’t you tell her the truth? She deserve to know.”

Pispa yanked off his hands. “Don’t touch me. You caused everything that’s happening.” She half-yelled, looking. Him in the eyes. The tears had formed already.

Shirin, Mel and Dulcie were surprised as they watched the two of them.

“If I hadn’t met you that morning, I wouldn’t have known that devil.. all this wouldn’t be happening. I hate you Mr. Wreker.” The tears in Pispa’s eyes rolled off, she sucked in air turning towards her mother.

“We need to leave, I promise to tell you everything that’s going on—he is dangerous.”

“Who are you talking about?” Dulcie arched his brows.

“Dulcie get into the house and pack everything we are leaving this morning, mum, Mel do that as well.” Pispa screamed peevishly.

Like Harzard’s voice d’ came from the shadows, low and menacing. “You’re mine now, Pispa. And you’ll do exactly as I say.”

Pispa’s heart sank as she realized she was trapped, at the mercy of a madman. But she refused to give up. She would find a way out, no matter what it took.

And she would make Harzard pay for what he had done.

She was so worried about her innocent family.

“Look Pispa we aren’t making an inch if you don’t tell us who is after you..”

A slap plastered on Mel’s cheek, it went red immediately, everyone was so shocked.

“What?”

“Yeah. Everyone thinks I’m crazy right? Well I don’t want to entangled my family and any one around me.. into this mess with me…” Pispa paused fighting back the tears in her eyes.

“I don’t want him to hurt any of you.. Dad, mum, Mel and Dulcie.. he is dangerous.” She added in sob.

“Pispa, you are still confusing us.” Shirin placed a hand on her shoulder and she looked up at her mother with tears in her eyes.

Pispa hesitated. “The DeHavilland..”

“What?” Mel narrowed her eyes. “You are joking? You mean you were in his custody all these while?”

“C’mon..” Dulcie gasped.

“See..? I don’t want any of you to get hurt okay. Just stay away from home for a while and return when things die down.”

Shirin sighed. “I’m so confused right now.. why is he after you?” She shrugged doubtfully.

“I will tell you everything if we leave this place.” Pispa said. “That man could be so cruel.”

Shirin sighed again. “It is fine. What about your dad? What do you think he will say? And where exactly are we going to?”

“Casino.”

“Casino?” Mel and Dulcie exclaimed together. “Why are we staying in gambling house?” Mel asked.

“He won’t have any motive of looking for us there.. And my friend’s Dad owns there, he could rent us a room for a while.”

“Maybe outskirts of the town would be better?” Dulcie suggested.

“Hey, just go get things ready, I will figure out a place to stay for a while.” Pispa said.

“This whole thing is crazy.”

“I know mum but we just have to leave.” Pispa said.

Shirin and the kids left to get their things ready, Ronnie held Pispa slowly and her blazing eyes felled on him.

She doesn’t want to see right now—the least she was expecting.

“Pispa, you know.. I’m sorry for all of this mess.. but you all can stay with me, I don’t mind.” Ronnie offered.

“I don’t need any craps from you Mr. Wreker.” Pispa breathed stepping a bit away from him. “I will be fine without your fucking help… I rather stay in the casino than to stay in your house.” She glowered.

“Hey, what are you saying?”

“Oh.. I’m being so serious to stay far away from you and that devil.”

“You know quite well.. he will still come back for you, why don’t you just stay with me?.” Ronnie said.

Pispa chuckled darkly, she snobbed him trying to head inside the house but she met Shirin, Mel and Dulcie with their bags.

Just few things from house.

They aren’t leaving forever.

“We aren’t leaving forever. Just a little break from home.” Mel said. “Sure. That’s it.” she assured herself.

“And I’m gonna miss my friends.” Dulcie pouted.

“Just forget it. Friends can’t save us right now.. in the mess.” Pispa said.

“But it is your mess, you do it alone.” Dulcie muttered.

Pispa casted him a dagger stares. “Mum ready?” She turned to Shirin.

Shirin nodded.

“Don’t think you can run away from me, feisty one.. because you are mine. And mine alone.” Someone bloodily said from behind and Pispa’s breathes hitched.

For a while she couldn’t get herself, she remembered that voice, so gravely and dangerous.

Hazard.

he lingers?
