Since Stacy left to meet Shelby, the girls stayed with Louis.

He’s busy with his diary, and they’re busy on their phones.

Any sane person in the country would be on their phones or be watching the news right now.

Evidences and Allegations kept flying, everyone wants to keep up.

“Never knew today would turn out this way.” Kehlani said.

“It started from the reunion when Remo posted the video.” Tasha said.

“Why would you remind me!” Tania slapped the couch backrest, laughing so hard the girls joined her.

“When they were trying to get Max’s thing to enter Zendaya? I died!” Kehlani coughed as she laughed.

“They were legit struggling!” Tasha grinned. “And now she’s Wanted?”

“It’s not shocking that she was part of the orchestrators. She a bitch who’d do anything for dick.” Kehlani said.

“She’d fuck an animal. Someone needs to check up on her parrot!” Tania laughed.

“Very soon, she’d join her potbellied dad in prison. Let’s wait and see how long she’s gonna hide,” Tasha shrugged. “But Anita? Anita was a mother-like saint back then when we came for sleepovers here. She spent time with us and told us stories!”

“People change, babe. The most candied part is that her son was a big part of her downfall.” Tania said.

“President Kaylee is finally curbed like dirt! The nerves of that pedophile to arrange engagement between Stacy and her son!” Tasha added.

“Her interrogation is gonna be broadcasted tonight without delay on every media. We’re watching…”

“And Dorian?” Kehlani stood, holding her throat dramatically. “Gawd, I’m gonna puke! Fifty victims?”

“Fifty-one, actually.” Tania corrected. “We all know who the last person is.”

Kehlani sat back, body softening.

“Do you think she’ll be able to tell Trevor about it?”

“I hope so. It’s not gonna be easy,” Tania sighed.

“There’s something here!” Louis suddenly stood.

He’s holding Tania’s phone.

“When did you even pick it, smartass!” Tania took the phone.

“You should check the freshest news…” Louis told her.

“What fresh….” Tania muttered, lifting the phone to her eye level.

Her eyes brightened, not with the screen flash, but with shock.

“Girls!” She gasped.

They joined her, reading the latest. A whole new chaos about Trinidad.

“No it’s not real!” Kehlani shouted, eyes wide. “She only got raped, she’s not HIV nonsense! Who posted this shit???” She swallowed.

“It’s everywhere,” Tasha muttered.

“I think you should post that she was one of Dorian’s rape victims. That’ll bring down the drag. She probably contacted from Dorian.” Louis said.

“You know too much, Louis.” Tania responded.

“But he’s right,” Tasha said, looking at the two for approval before she went ahead and posted the new update.

—

At some minutes to 9pm, Jeremy was on his way to the police station.

He has been summoned.

As he drove, two cars containing cops accompanied him behind.

He heard Remo has been summoned too, even Stacy.

Since the chaos is political, every conformation has to be immediate for the country’s safety.

It starts tonight.

He connected his earbuds when he received a call.

It’s Reid again.

“Hey Reid…”

“Check the freshest news, now!” Reid said ahd hung up.

Jeremy drove with an hand and picked his phone with the other. He didn’t scroll long before he saw what Reid wanted him to see.

The news about Trinidad, updated three minutes ago.

She’s the 51st victim of Dorian. And the most shocking one from ten minutes ago…

She’s HIV positive???

Jeremy’s car screeched violently when he suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.

He opened his drawer and pulled out the one laptop key in a zipped paper.

He was planning to dig out whoever it was after the suppression of this chaos, but she came out even before he started searching.

But the HIV positive shit?

Dorian was HIV positive?

“It better not be…” He shook his head. “Damnit!” He punched the wheel.

—

[Ice Cream Shop]

Ten minutes after he saw the news, Trevor is still there.

He felt his verbal ability disappearing and he staggered two steps, matching the cream on the floor.

He looked at his phone again, understanding Trinidad’s fear.

Her anxiety.

Her unsure state and why she had requested for ice cream.

His heart was jumping wildly when he ran madly out of the ice cream shop. He got in his car with a leap.

He turned the car engines over, and it screamed as he drove out of the park, his chest screaming too.

Trinidad.

Trinidad.

Trinidad.

Tears slid out of his eyes, but he didn’t let it fall. He blinked the liquid back, nodding.

It’s nothing.

He was squirreling on the road, driving past every car that climbed the tar before him.

The closer he got to Trinidad’s mansion, the closer his heart got to splitting into two.

“Condom.” Her voice hit his head, and he shook his head.

So this is why.

He kept shaking his head, and when he drove back into her compound, he was staring at another update on his phone. Trinidad is the only living victim of Dorian Wesley.

She…was raped???

His head rang in different languages, and he nearly fell. He grabbed the head with an hand and held his car door with the other, groaning.

Is this how people run mad?

He’s not feeling his brains.

Where’d they go?

He imagined what Trinidad must have been going through for those twelve years, and the thoughts wrecked him so much that he shed the tears he has been keeping from falling. He cried bitterly.

He rushed into the house, but he arrived at emptiness. No Trinidad.

Kitchen. Living Room. Bedroom. Every other room.

“T-girl,” his voice started calmly, almost pleading.

No sound of her.

“T-girl!” He shouted, devastated.

Still no sound of her.

The laptop missing one key is now sitting on top of the bed, staring at him. On top of the laptop, there’s a very short note.

He grabbed the note and the laptop together, but he focused on the note.

• I’m so sorry, Trevor. Sorry I couldn’t tell you or even my friends. I was afraid, cos the only former friend who knew about my positive condition was threatening me with it, and I’m sure she made that post. I’m sorry I even existed in your life at all, but don’t worry, I already got my revenge, so I’ll just disappear. But I love you. I swear, I do.

Trevor’s tears already soaked the note even before he finished reading.

“No…” His voice trembled as he threw the laptop back down and got his phone to dial her line.

It’s switched off.

“No!!!!” He cried, rushing out of the room. “No don’t do it… don’t leave me. Don’t you…dare… T-girl…”

He was muttering and sobbing as he jumped the staircase, phone to his ear. Her line is still off.

He threw the door open, and he was met with Investor Brooke himself by the door. The man is crying.

“Where’s she?” He asked in a broken voice.

Trevor shook his head.

Investor Brooke barged inside, pulling Trevor by his collar, locking him in a chokehold.

“Why!!!” His voice was branded with grief. “Why didn’t she tell me anything? I’m her father…why didn’t she tell me two disastrous things happened to her? Why did she keep it all to herself and still remained a brilliant student in school? How was she able to….to survive all alone why….Why would she deal with everything alone? Just why!!! She’s aware that I love her so much so why would she suffer it all alone? Why!!!!”

He broke to pieces all in front of Trevor, and Trevor couldn’t even console him cos he himself is shattering too … To smithereens.

“Where is my daughter…” Investor Brooke Brooke mumbled, letting go of Trevor. He fell on the floor and sat there, crying hard.

“Why would she do that!!!”

The roar of engines filled the compound as the girls drove inside in one car. They brought Louis along.

Merely seeing the sorrowful, broken condition of Trevor and Investor Brooke, they were gagged.

“It’s not true…” Tasha shook her head in denial. “I still refuse to believe.”

“She ran away. I think she’s going to hurt herself.” Trevor muttered.

Kehlani covered her mouth with her palm, muffling her tears.

“Not Trini….not her…” She sobbed.

“Why her?” Tania cried, moving her legs slowly to the door. “Why didn’t she tell anyone? Why did she … Ca..carry all the weight alo..ne…”

Surprisingly, Louis was shedding tears too. He cried but said nothing.

“So this is the reason why she said she was indebted to Stacy’s late mum. I guess Stacy’s mum gave her pills.” Kehlani muffled.

“She took the pills twice in my presence six years ago, kept saying it was for flu,but I didn’t suspect cos she always kept them in flu pills bottle.” Trevor said, tears entering his mouth.

He tasted salt before he pulled his phone out at a buzz.

It’s a text from his mother.

Mother: Told you you were gonna regret ever chosing her over me.

That told Trevor everything he needed to know.

He rushed to his car without speaking to anyone, and the speed he drove out with?

Mad.

Investor Brooke stood from where he sat on the bare floor, and as he walked out like a forgotten ghost, the girls followed him, hoping he’d have an idea of where Trinidad went.

“She’s never that readable, and that’s why she lived with HIV for twelve years, got raped since twelve, and I didn’t know. I have no idea where she might hide at…I’m so useless.” He bit his tongue, spitting blood.

“Mr. Brooke!” Tasha quickly held him. “Kaylee is still alive, and she abetted all of her son’s crimes. This ain’t the time to hurt yourself. We’ll surely find Trinidad. She’s a strong one.” She said.

Investor Brooke nodded, but his tears never seized.

—

[Shelby’s Place]

Stacy has been sitting alone in a room that looks like an interrogation room since twenty minutes ago.

She sat alone, looking unwelcomed, but the sky could fall today and she’d still achieve what she came for.

She relaxed on her chair, not even looking around the room.

She didn’t come here to study aesthetics.

She doesn’t care about Kaylee and Mr. Brown’s arrest.

She still wants this evidence—a clear copy of her father’s last moment no matter how gruesome it’d be.

The door of the room is structured in such a way that the person inside can’t see the person outside, but the person outside can see the inside.

Mio and Shelby are outside, looking at her studiously.

Nathan left the house five minutes ago for his own mission, so it’s just the two females.

“What do you think about her?” Shelby asked.

“Poised. Composed. Looks like she knows what she’s here for, and I think she has backup. This boldness is suspicious.” Mio explained.

“This bi+ch has always been annoyingly bold like that. Her mother was worse.” Shelby sighed.

“Any news from Eleven? Why isn’t he giving updates since we landed in this city?” She asked.

“He’s probably tangled with Thiago’s watchful eyes. Must be looking for a opportunity to send a message. But do you think he’s still trustable?” Mio asked slowly.

“Cos he couldn’t tell us when Thiago gave us a fake flashdrive? Thiago made him and Ten believe the flashdrive was real. You saw it in the text he sent after the lab destruction.” Shelby said.

“We should be careful though,” Mio unfolded her fists. “It’s the grand mission time, we can’t afford to miss any detail.”

And with that, she entered the room with Shelby.

Stacy straightened, hoping Reid will be hearing their conversation from the earbuds.

“You really came, Stacy Montana.” Shelby smiled with a shallowness that marked it as fake.

She took her seat in front of Stacy, across the table.

Mio stood behind them.

“When humans want something, desperateness becomes a weapon.” Stacy replied, unshaken.

Shelby smiled again, and Stacy cringed. Can she stop smiling?

She’s seeing her for the first time, and she’s just like they described.

Fake, blind, heatless and hard to see through cos right now, she has no idea what’s going on in her head.

But she payed less attention to her though. Her eyes kept going to Mio—he world best Sniper she originally came here for.

Why is she not seeing her rifle anywhere though?

Silly…

She can’t be carrying a sniper rifle everywhere, right?

Calm down, Stacy. Calm.

“I love when people sound poetic,” Shelby’s voice brought her back.

“What plans do you have to take Cove out? How’s he gonna die?” Stacy asked, straight to the point.

“You’re eagar! That’s a good start!” Shelby grinned. “And you’re calling him Cove? He must be mad anytime he hears that from you. You see, my late father gave him that disguise name, and he has always hated it.”

“Get to the point, Shelby.” Stacy pressed impatiently.

“You’re gonna pretend to have forgiven him, and you’re gonna invite him to your house for dinner tomorrow night. Tell him to come with his father.” Shelby said.

“His late father?” Stacy scoffed.

“Nathan was never dead…In fact, he’s on his way to meet him.” Shelby blanked, and Stacy’s mouth nearly widened, but she pulled back.

“And the country is experiencing too much chaos right now. I’m sure a state of emergency is gonna be declared tommorw while the investigations proceed.” She said.

“Why do you think I messed with the electrical connection of almost every part of the globe especially this country? I lost billions to do that. There’ll be a state of emergency, but who cares? The government is too busy solving the problems I created. When would they have time to arrest law benders?” Shelby smirked.

Again, Stacy’s mouth nearly widened, but she stopped it.

She’s the one? The hell??

But she stayed calm.

“Invite him to dinner, tell him to come with his father, poison him to make him weak, and I and Mio and his father and even his Granduncles would finish him off together. Almost every member of the X Family is in this country right now, and that’s just to show you how much his death is wanted.” Shelby continued.

“I get it,” Stacy sighed.

“You’re too agreeable,” Shelby drew in. “Are you planning to fool me?”

“Why the fûck are you trying hard to find fault?” Stacy stood. “I came here risking my life despite knowing how dangerous you are, and that’s because no one hates him as much as I do, but you still doubt me?”

“I was pulling your legs, young lady. Sit!” Shelby glared like she could see.

Stacy sat back, hissing.

“And I’ll give you a tip,” Shelby inched forward. “How many hallucinations have you gotten since you birthed your son?”

Stacy frowned. “Just one, why ask?”

“And that one hallucination was probably because you’ve been taking the pills that’d fight hallucinations, so your brain made you believe you hallucinated just once so you’d think the pills are actually working.” Shelby whispered.

“What are you talking about?” Stacy muttered, confused.

“Women getting hallucinations and committing suicide after giving birth in our family was a false tale weaved by our gandfathers who hated women, and when Nathan became the Boss, he carried the system too.”

“He’d impregnate women for no reason, inject them to have hallucinations just to watch them suffer during pregnancy, and after a few months, he kills them and frames it as suicide. He only allowed few of the women in our family to give birth before killing them, but once they put to bed, he’d plant a disability in the child. Just like lead in my eyes and chemical in Thiago’s ears.”

Stacy stood slowly, her eyes blurring and resetting fast.

“Wh… what!” Her eyes widened.

“It’s the first time you sounded shocked since we started talking. Now I’m glad I said this.” Shelby sighed, relaxing.

“And that is to tell you your womb has been damaged for nothing. For totally nothing. It’s all fake!” She bursted into a scornful laughter.

Stacy staggered out between the chair and table, eyes blurring once again.

“I heard your family doctor predicted the possibility of hallucinations when you were pregnant, and he advised you to abort cos the baby’s brain was developing too fast. He possibly heard of our fake family system too, so he gave you predictions based on that, not based on his own tests.” Shelby clicked her tongue.

By now, Stacy is already walking towards the door.

“Invite that motherfucker to dinner tomorrow by 7! We see by then!” Shelby shouted after her.

Stacy left, and Mio immediately sat beside Shelby.

“Why would you tell her the truth about the family system!”

“Cos I don’t want her alive after all these, and somehow…I don’t wanna be the cause of her death cos she has a child, and I hate killing young mothers, so I told her Nathan’s secret, and I’m gonna tell Nathan that I told her. Nathan will be the one to end her life.” Shelby said.

“I’m mystified by the way you think,” Shelby nodded. “And did you see the buds in her ears?”

“That’s probably her investigator listening,” Shelby rasped. “One more person for Nathan to kill.”

Outside, Stacy is just getting into her car, and she still looks spineless she’s not even touching the wheel.

She’s just staring into space like an idiot, and the buds in her ear kept booming with Reid’s voice.

“Stacy!”

“Stacy! Stacy can you hear me?”

“Reid…” She sniffled eventually, wiping her nose.

“Stacy I’m so sorry you had to lose your womb fertility for nothing. I’m so fuckin sorry…” He said pitifully.

“You heard,” she sniffled again.

“Everything. I heard everything.” He replied calmly.

Stacy wiped her nose again, and her eyes…”I didn’t even try to steal the rifle camera.”

“Didn’t they say tommorow is the game? I’m sure Shelby is gonna want Mio to finish him off with the rifle so Mio is gonna bring it for sure. For now, calm down, relax. But are you sure you wanna do this? Thiago might really, really die.”

“I’m not a killer like their family people, and I’m not gonna suddenly become one.” She said, tears subsiding. “I’m gonna invite him to, but I’ll tell the bastard everything before he’ll come, so he’ll know what he’s up for.” Stacy explained.

“Damn, never have I ever met a family like this. They’re really highly dysfunctional cos the hell? Nathan is alive? I’m gonna lose my mind.” Reid muttered, stressed.

“You can call him to invite him to the dinner tomorrow, but for now, you have something else to attend to.”

“The cops?” Stacy gasped. “I forgot! I have to go give my statement too!”

“No…it’s Trinidad,” Reid’s voice dropped low.

“Wait, what’s up with Trinidad?” She frowned deeply.

“Stacy, Trinidad contacted HIV from the rape. She’s…she’s positive.”

Stacy’s arms fell.

“It’s a lie!!”

—

[Private Hotel]

Madame Morano expected Kazuma to show himself after the chaos she added online with Roxy’s help, and she was right about it, cos by the time she got back, Kazuma was seated powerfully in her lounge.

He’s not smoking tobacco, and that’s his signature for seriousness.

She pretended not to see him as she walked past, but she talked though.

“Are you here to kill me, Kaz?” Her Italian was too clean.

“Why the hell would you announce her HIV status to the whole country? You shattered her life goal!” He stood.

“Then she should have stayed off my heir!” She snapped.

“He’s my heir too, but you don’t see me controlling his life decisions!” Kazuma clapped back angrily.

“Are you telling me you’d have allowed him to continue his relationship with a positive girl? Kaz? What rotten mindset is that!!”

“The mindset of a father who understands!” He yelled. “I don’t mix business with family, and I lived this long cos of that! She has been living with the virus since she was 14, and no one got infected by her. She looks good, fleshy, healthy cos she stayed punctual to her medications! She’s living, surviving! She didn’t even get it cos she was wayward, she got it cos she was raped! It was beyond her control!” He explained hotly.

“I don’t care!!!!” She yelled back heatedly. “Now that it’s over, she’s gonna kill herself, and everybody will go get some rest!”

And the door barged open, letting a livid, angry, unforgiving Trevor into the lounge, gun stretched.

He didn’t wait. He aimed for the person he came for, and he shot…

At his mother.

Madame Morano was stuck with the cold bullet on her leg.

The moment she lurched sidewards and held the bleeding leg, her two guards who’re inside the lounge with them aimed to gun Trevor down too, but Kazuma was faster.

Two guns. He pulled them out of his coat inner, and he fired them at the same time, bringing the guards down.

Trevor paused, lowering his arm as his mother wailed and cussed on the floor. “How dare you plant a bullet in my body!!!”

She held her bleeding leg tighter.

“You f+kin’ deserve it for daring to even hurt what’s mine!!” Trevor yelled, eyes bloodshot.

“I love you, boy.” Kazuma smiled.

Trevor looked at him.

“Go on, son.” He said.

Madame Morano’s tears stopped flowing for a second.

“Wait…” She looked up.

“Yeah, you failed.” Trevor smirked. “I spent too much time in No Sleep Garage with Wizard, you don’t expect me to be a daft doe! I made researches, and I found out he was my father, and we’ve been communicating in secret!”

“You betrayed me!” Madame Morano stood, folding her bleeding leg.

She stood with a leg. “You betrayed your mother!!!”

“If breaking the chains of your control is betrayal, then so be it!” He yelled back. “You only tried to ruin her, you didn’t succeed cos she’ll live. She’s gonna live for me!”

He barged out, and the woman fell back, screaming his name.

“Trevor! Trevor!!!”

Kazuma smiled, placing his weight on the couch in front of her.

“He was doing everything he wanted when he lived as Trevor Wolfe. Then, he began doing everything you wanted when you took him to Italy to live as Trevor Morano. Now,”

Kazuma smiled wider, leaning closer to her. “You crossed the line, and you lost him forever. He’s gonna start living as who he really is; my son, Trevor Ryuzaki!”

“Thief!!!” Madame Morano snarled, grabbing his hair.

He flipped her off without effort, and she slumped.

At the hotel park, Trevor opened his car door with a yank, determined to go find Trinidad’s whereabouts.

He’s still trying her line.

Switched off.

He was about to enter the car when a rogue appeared behind him.

He turned.

It’s Ten, holding a stainless lidded can.

“You’re Wizard’s man,” Trevor said.

Ten just pointed the can at him.

“T prepared this for Kaylee, but I heard the news about Trinidad on my way to get on my red-eye Washington flight, so I came to lend you some. I know Roxy’s skyscraper.” He said.

Trevor’s jaws clenched, resembling Thiago’s habit.

—

[Thiago’s Castle]

Ten is off on a mission, so Eleven is the only one here with Thiago.

He hasn’t been able to form a word since he saw Ten alive again.

What would he say when his game has been revealed.

He could only walk on eggshells around Thiago, but Thiago himself isn’t even seeing him right now.

He’s sitting on a low chair expectantly. Nathan should be here any moment from now.

He needs to verify if it was really him on the phone or prank.

So… he waited.

But he’s not one to lose all sense of his surroundings completely, so he was secretly looking at Eleven too.

Thinking Thiago’s attention is not with him, Eleven secretly got his phone and went to the chats that are locked away with super lock app.

Super lock belongs to Shelby…one of her really good apps.

He clicked on the app to delete, but Thiago snatched the phone.

“T!” He gasped, staggering.

Blankly, Thiago clicked the app and forced Eleven’s thumb ti unlock it.

He saw Eleven’s texts and communication with a girl.

And a woman is the profile picture on the account.

Thiago clicked the picture, and he immediately recognized it.

“She was a maid in the Castle in Australia. I remember I killed her cos she spilled my tea.” He said, looking up. “So you’re his son? You came for revenge? You’ve been sharing everything with your sister on this silly app? Goddamn, you’re the one who messed with my car…”

Eleven shifted back again.

Thiago’s eyes returned to the screen to continue reading the chats.

“You joined the family rogues for revenge, and you allowed Shelby to castrate you just so you both would fool me to into thinking you’re loyal to me. That’s very stupid,” Thiago sighed. “Your plan is to use Shelby to takeover the Syndicate for yourself, and that’s why you only gave her half information.”

At this point, Thiago chuckled, looking up again. “Who drew this plan for you? F9 parallel.” He breathed harshly. “If I was this easy to humble and defeat, I’d have died long ago, bastard.”

“Even if you don’t mean it, at least pretend to be sorry, Thiago. It won’t kill you!!! Pretend to be sorry!!!” Eleven yelled, crying.

“I don’t know how to pretend, not sorry.” Thiago smirked.

“She only wanted to work and provide for my sister and I. She did nothing wrong but you killed her because she spilled tea on you? I should have killed you when it was just me and you in the middle of the sea in Australia.”

“Yeah, you should have killed me, cos now, the kill is not yours to do anymore…” Thiago muttered.

Sensing the danger coating his words and the darkness, Eleven pulled a death pin put of his hair and thew it at Thiago with precision.

Thiago dodged.

The pin fell, and he picked it up.

Eleven rushed out of the room, escape on his mind, but he wasn’t lucky. Tentacles of death stuck him when Thiago caught up and stabbed him with the pin from behind…

On the neck.

“Next time, to kill me, just set me on fire….oh my bad, there’ll be no next time.” Thiago whispered in his ear as he breathed his last.

Then…he let go of the body.

Immediately the body hit the ground, Nathan stepped on the pavement, and Thiago’s eyes lifted.

Their eyes met.

Madness mirrored Madness.

A combination of something primally obscure. Too thick.

“Father?” Thiago repeated, forehead squeezing with questions.

“Gawd, Thiago…” Nathan widened his arms, walking up to him.

The hug was tight like his former hugs, and that cleared all doubts. This was indeed Nathan X, the most feared man in Australia.

His dead father.

The man he mistakenly killed with his car and spent a month in jail for.

“I’m gonna be needing a story.” He said in a mutter.

Nathan broke the hug, sighing as he held his son’s shoulders, looking into his eyes directly.

“You didn’t see my body before you were sent to jail, did you?” He said with a nod. “Shelby saved me. My head injuries took years to heal, but they healed anyways, and she kept me hidden. I was too weak to fight for freedom, but just yesterday, she said she was coming here to ruin you, and I was her grand plan, so I had to come with her. She wants me to kill you, but the reverse would be the case. Let’s kill your sister together and return to Australia to claim our throne.” He smiled.

But Thiago couldn’t return the smile.

He just stared at the man who feels too good to be true.

Feels like his father, but at the same time he doesn’t feel like it.

—

[Roxy’s Skyscraper]

Roxy is on another art. She draws better when high, but tonight, she’s not even high on drugs.

She’s high on happiness cos Trinidad’s dirty little secret is finally out for all eyes.

She couldn’t be happier.

She was smoking a blunt and adding colour to the canvas of a crying woman with tattered clothes.

The woman represents Trinidad, and the tattered clothes represents how her clothes looked when Dorian was fuckin her that night.

Her patrons would love this.

She dipped the brush in the color bowl and was about to colour the last past of the tattered clothes when she received a visitor.

Thinking it’s her staff, she turned…

“I clearly said no entry, I’m too busy to—ahhhhhh!!!!!!”

Her words changed to a painful, charged scream very quick.

Smokes rose in the office from her face that’s currently burning with acid from Trevor’s can.

Trevor stood right there, holding the can gingerly. His eyes are still bloodshot, even more now.

Ten is behind him.

Trevor placed the lid back on the can and returned it to him.

Ten left the office without waiting.

As Roxy rolled on the floor with burnt, scarred face that’s even still burning, Trevor picked up the canvas board and smashed it on the wall.

It shattered.

[Bel-Air Police Division]

It’s a procedural shit tonight.

The station is silent—not with grief, but cos it’s required for what’s going on—the interrogation and taking down of statements.

The Washington DC Division and FBI are currently interrogating Kaylee too, and since they can’t take everyone to Washington tonight, they chose to communicate with Kaylee on screen, but Kaylee kept denying the charges boldly.

But Anita and Mr. Brown have no words to say.

They could only keep their heads low and answer questions silently.

Jeremy gave his statement already. Stacy gave her statement too.

Kaylee kept denying on screen from Washington.

But then… Remo was brought in.

He bursted into tears the moment his arse touched the chair.

“I’ll start with my palms…” He raised his palms. “Dorian nailed me to a cross cos he found out I had a video of his mother and I, but is it really my fault?” He sniffled.

His tears are falling so much it’s soaking his suit. Like he was payed for cry here tonight.

On the screen, Kaylee stayed blank, just watching him with the FBI agents and cops surrounding both rooms.

“I was only nineteen, but this evil woman deceived me and said she was s+x-starved. Said her husband was long dead and she needed someone to service her!!” He cried harder.

Outside the room, Jeremy and Reid and Kane are still there, watching through the glass.

“What’s wrong with this guy?” Reid muttered, covering his mouth with his palm so he won’t laugh. “Tonight is too bitter for laughter but he’s too unserious I can’t not laugh.”

“I agree that I was a gigolo who fucked older women back then, but I only f+ked 30+ women. But her? She was 40+ and still bewitched me! I was just a boy… just a little, naive boy… She even told me to tie her to the ceiling like you saw in one of the videos!” Remo continued inside.

“Wrap it up, I’m done here…” Reid said, rushing outside to go and laugh.

“Remo is too crazy,” Jeremy muttered.

“I know, right?” Kane smiled.

And at each word, tears would roll out of Remo’s eyes.

A paid actor.

“He payed me millions for the ten sessions.” He continued, nodding with a sniffle. “And I bought a yatch with it. I named it K-p+xxy.”

“It’s AI,” Kaylee said on screen. “All the video you saw. They’re AI.”

“Gawd… you’re such a liar!” Remo pointed at the screen.

Remo was taken out of the room after he finished answering his questions, and the last person entered the room at 2am.

It’s Angela.

She entered willingly.

No push.

No shove.

On screen, Kaylee froze.

“Name,” the interrogator asked.

“Angela Degraw.” She replied.

“Relationship?”

“Manager to the late Dorian, and best friend to Kaylee Wesley, also her uni schoolmate.” Angela said.

Then…

“Kaylee has been pedophilic since university. She chased after elementary school kids, and her son inculcated that habit too but in a worse way…” Angela continued.

“Dorian started raping since he was 15. He even once raped a year old baby, and Kaylee covered all of it with my help. Kaylee had always wanted to use Albert as a ladder to become President, so she planned his death with Mr. Brown and —”

“Angela!” Kaylee stood when she couldn’t take the dishing anymore. “Angela how dare you! Angela!”

“I have video evidences, Kaylee.” Angela said. “You killed Lynn in an accident and forced Jeremy Wolfe to act as him, then you eventually framed him for Lynn’s death and Dorian’s impersonation.”

Kaylee slumped back to her chair, but this time, she lost breaths.

She fell off, passing out.

[Next Day, Thiago’s Castle]

It was 10am when Thiago received the text from Stacy, and he had to check twice to be sure it was really her. Stacy inviting her to dinner?

He told him to come with his father.

A make-up dinner.

He was staring at the phone screen when he received an additional text.

This one is longer.

• Shelby is involved. She wants to to weaken you with poison. Be prepared. Take Neostigmine before you come, so the poison won’t work.

Thiago smiled slightly, and Nathan appeared behind him.

He has been here with him since he arrived yesterday.

He made sure Nathan didn’t see the text before he turned around.

Nathan stood by the door, leaning on the frame energetically.

“We have a dinner by 7,” Thiago announced stiffly.

“Just we?” Nathan entered.

“At Stacy’s,” Thiago nodded.

“The bî+ch who birthed your son?” Nathan smirked.

Thiago folded his fists, controlling himself from retaliating to that sentence.

“I’m gonna go look for my best friend who’s in hiding since yesterday. Give me two hours.” He said and strolled out easily, past his father.

—

[A Junkyard, 7PM]

The yard smelled like grease, gasoline and oil with broken, dented cars parked around on top of each other.

No other presence here except for Trinidad who’s inside one of the broken busses.

She came here since yesterday. Somewhere that won’t be easily though of, and she chose this place.

She has cried so much her lysosome now lack tears to spring. Now, she can only stare blankly at the white powder on a paper on front of her.

She feels sick, miserable, unwanted. She feels like all the weight of the world is resting only on her shoulders. She feels irritable.

She’s hot, shivering, and her tongue is so bitter she wants to cut it off.

But she’d rather cut her life off.

There’s a lollipop in her mouth—the last sweetness she’d taste in this short life of hers.

She pulled the pop out of her mouth and placed it on the powder on the paper in front of her.

It’s poison. Potent poison.

She knew this day would eventually come, so she carried it everywhere.

Preparing to take her last words, she pulled out her phone and turned it on. With shaky thumb, she dialled Trevor’s number.

It barely rang before he picked.

“Trevor, I’m…

“I love you,” Trevor words interrupted hers, and her lashes fanned as they blinked slowly.

“Huh?”

“I love you, Trinidad Brooke. I love you so much even HIV won’t be a barrier. Spend the rest of your long life with me and don’t hurt yourself, please. Please stay with me I promise to always cherish, love, respect and care for you. I don’t care about the world when you exist, I just want you… I still want you.”

“Allow me to pick the broken fragments so I can piece them together and sieve out your bad memories, kiss you every night before you sleep and cuddle you while you sleep. I made that decision when I was sixteen, and it didn’t change, Mia Cara. You’re turning 26 next week, and you have no idea what I have planned already.”

“Please tell me where you are, I’ve been crying around since yesterday, looking for you. Tell me where you are, and I’ll come get…”

“You still want me?” She cut in, tears soaking her eyes again.

“I madly do. Your dad does too, and your friends..” he sniffled, obviously crying. “Please, just… just tell me where you are.”

“I love you too, Trevor. I love you so much I thought you wouldn’t want me anymore. I thought you were gonna hate me…” She sobbed emotively, loudly.

“Where are you?”

“The junkyard in The Streets,” she replied, smiling.

She wants to wipe her tears with her second hand, but the lollipop is there, so she inserted it back in her mouth, forgetting the poison on it.

She was wiping her tears as she came down from the car…

“Don’t cut the call till I find you. I love you.” Trevor said.

She smiled again, rushing to the entrance of the junkyard to wait.

[7:05, Roads]

In ten more minutes, Thiago would be at Stacy’s place.

He’s the one driving with his father beside him on the driver’s seat.

They both wore black suits to match the mood of the make-up.

State of emergency has been declared since last night, but even the government isn’t so grippy about it cos they’re busy solving too much.

The streets are dry though. Companies didn’t open. Shops, stores, cafes…no cars nor bikes.

No bus.

The road is dry except for Thiago’s car driving without hitch.

“Did you grow affection for her or something?” Nathan suddenly asked.

Knowing who he’s talking about, Thiago just kept quiet.

“I’m talking to you, T.” Nathan pressed in persistently.

“And if I said yes?” Thiago said without looking at him.

“That’s blasphemy! A taboo!!” Nathan yelled suddenly, and another car suddenly skid out of the side road.

Thiago didn’t see it coming, but at the last minute when he sighted it, he swerved, going in zigzags till his car slammed into a roadside shop.

Glasses shattered, engines hissed, smokes formed, rising.

But there’s no time to waste, cos more and more cars drove into the road, as if planned. They circled.

Through the broken windows, Thiago and Nathan came down from the car.

Thiago’s sight thinned when he saw what was going on.

From the array of cars, Shelby got down with Mio and like fifty other members of the family and syndicate.

Blood and loyalty merged.

“Of course Stacy would tell you about our plan cos……she might hate you, but she has no murder intent.” Shelby said, smiling poisonously. “And you definitely made plans around Montana Mansion already. In fact, Stacy herself might make additional plans too. We enter that mansion, we step on the trap.”

She was taking slow steps close as she talked. “So I made a plan B. Why not let’s settle our scores on this road? Give me your apps, and you can go free. Remember you’re wounded on the tummy, so fighting back is useless.” She smiled again.

“I always knew we’d end up tearing each other apart,” Thiago responded, nose flaring. “You sent Eleven to mess with my car, I ran into father, and I was sent to jail, but all along, father was alive? You deserve to be burnt alive with your followers!”

“I knew you’d chose the wrong way. You’re very welcome.” Shelby sneered, removing the band in her hair. The moment she let it down, the men behind her surged.

Roars, screams, threats.

Their rage were all directed towards one person; Thiago.

His body was overcharged for this, so in the first second, he already sent two of them down with blows.

And as they landed, Ten jumped in, right beside him.

“Told you to go to Washington and give Kaylee the acid!” Thiago spat.

“I knew you were gonna kill Eleven. I couldn’t leave you alone!” Ten replied, and their eyes went back to business at the same time.

Shelby and Mio joined the fight, and it became a death duel.

Thiago moved like a beast unchained, his merciless fists cracking through flesh and bone.

One man flew violently into a pillar in front of the shop.

Another dropped with a shattered jaw to the glass shards.

Blood soaked through the bandage on Thiago’s stomach. The old wound ripped wider with every twist, but rage kept him standing.

Shelby came for him like a phantom, her blind eyes empty, deadly.

Her insanely long hair whipped through the air like black snakes, wrapping around Thiago’s throat and arm. She yanked hard, dragging him back, but he roared and tore free.

He grabbed a fistful of her hair and slammed her face-first into the floor.

She laughed.

Actually laughed.

Then she spun low.

Her hair coiled around his ankle and jerked him down.

Across the car, Ten fought like death spirit itself.

He stabbed one man in the neck and shot another in the chest.

He jumped in-between and took a blade meant for Thiago before driving his own knife through the attacker’s skull.

“T!” Ten shouted, but…

Mio tackled him mid-turn, and they crashed hard.

Mio was feral, punching, biting, stabbing, but Ten was relentless.

His blows kept coming, but Mio looked immune to pain.

Ten managed one last shot into her shoulder before Mio buried her blade deep in his ribs.

He froze breathlessly.

Then dropped lifelessly.

Thiago’s scream shook the air.

With blood in his mouth, he tore through the last men, snapped Mio’s wrist and slammed her unconscious, then grabbed Shelby by the throat and smashed her head repeatedly into concrete till she stopped moving.

Silence.

Thiago staggered as blood dripped from his tummy. His dwindling eyes swept over the bodies on the ground till his eyes landed on Ten.

He was dragging his feet to Ten when a gunshot exploded.

Pain ripped through Thiago’s back.

With a groan, he looked down at the blood blooming through his chest, then he looked back.

Nathan stood behind him… holding the gun. He’s the shooter!

“You shouldn’t have had an heir. You promised you’d never had an heir!!” Nathan yelled psychotically.

“I knew your coming wasn’t normal…” Thiago grunted out blood, and his knees met the ground. “But I still hoped I was wrong. I carried the guilt of your death for years, and it haunted me so much I got headaches anytime I entered a car. I was branded a criminal, but you survived, and you came back to kill me?” He grinned, facing the sky as pained, sickly streaks of red decorated his eyes.

“I can’t believe I once respected you the most in this world. I can’t believe I once honoured you…”

“Promises are meant to be kept! I taught you that! But what did you do? The moment I died, you had an heir? You broke your promise first so don’t ever talk about respect! And you dared admit to my face that you grew affection for the mother of the child?” Nathan laughed dryly.

“I’m going to kill the mother and take that child, and the child will replace you! I hate stray dogs, and you’re already one! You went astray!”

“If you dare….touch….my….Son ….” Thiago’s voice choked with the blood he kept vomiting. “I’ll burn—”

He couldn’t finish, cos another gunshot sounded.

This time, it’s from Shelby who’s just standing from the ground with Mio.

Thiago hit the ground so hard his head peeled, and it bled heavily as his breaths left his body.

“Are you sure he’s not wearing bullet proof vest?” Mio asked.

“The blood I’m seeing is his own, not animal blood from a bulletproof vest.” Nathan replied.

“And the apps?” Mio asked.

“All his app ownership entries are connected to his heartbeat. He’s dead, so the ownership is free.” Shelby said.

“Clear the bodies, Mio.” Nathan ordered, looking around.

Mio stepped back.

Nathan and Shelby threw Thiago’s body into a car trunk, and Nathan drove them off the road.

“He was fond of saying he wanted to get his body burnt if he died, but I’m not about to give him that satisfaction. Even in death, he’ll be dishonored. I’ll bury him in a nameless grave.”

He drove them to The Streets, inside the woods. Digging tools were ready in the car, so he just took them out and got to work, digging a grave.

Shelby sat on top of a fallen tree trunk, praying thankfully to Mother Mary and also wiping her bloody head that’s still bleeding from the concussions she got.

It took thirty minutes for Nathan to dig a shallow grave.

Thiago was thrown inside, and Nathan began pouring sabd back into the grave with the shovel.

The first shovelful of sand landed on Thiago’s face. The second shovelful followed almost immediately…

Then…

The third and fourth.

TBC.
