Ruined Beauty

A maid rushed in with the first aid kit. Quickly, she opened it and Myra began to treat her wounds. Freya hissed at the touch of each substance on her face.

“It’s gonna hurt but you’ve got to endure.” Freya said softly.

“Myra,” Freya called.

“Mm-hmm.”

“I wanna go home.”

Myra paused for a while, but then continued treating her bruises. “Why would you want to go?” She asked.

“I’m tired of her, I just want to live my life without her stepping in.”

“What about Mr Vincenzo, what do you think about his feelings when he finds out you are gone.”

“I’m leaving this mansion doesn’t mean I’m leaving his life. I know Vincenzo, he’s gonna come back for me.”

Myra saw reasons to her words, she nodded her head. “I’ll talk to the driver after this. You really need some space and a free life too.”

“Oh please, don’t preach to me like today is the end of the world. You’re coming with me. I can’t stay alone there, and two, it’s not like you do want to stay here either?”

Myra chuckled. “I was waiting for you to say that.”

“Really?”

“I wanna make it up to you, Freya, since I couldn’t stand by your side, I need to be with you.”

“You’re sounding romantic right now. Geez, if only I was gay.”

“Fuck you, Freya!” She laughed and Freya joined her. “Why would you say that?”

“Because it’s the truth, Myra and we both know it.” She raised her eyebrows, “Seriously, I love how you do care about me and I appreciate every thing.”

Myra blushed. “Thank you so much.”

“It’s nothing.”

“No, seriously, it is to me. I’ve never heard any one say those words to me. I don’t even know if I exist to them. But today, you proved to me how special I am.”

Freya smiled. “Come here.” She pulled Myra into her embrace, hugging her tightly. “I love you, Myra, you’re the best friend I have ever had in my life. Thank you so much for walking into my life, I really appreciate it. A lot.”

“I appreciate yours too.” She broke the hug. “Come on, let’s get you going or that bitch does the worst.”

They began to pack a few things of their property. Myra had already talked to the driver about taking them to Freya’s home, which he agreed to do.

Kelly watched from the window as Freya and Myra packed their stuff into the car. She smiled in victory, finally her plans had finally worked out, she can now have Vincenzo all to himself.

She was sure they had left the compound before leaving her room for the sitting room to address the rest of the maids. When she called them all together, while talking to them, she noticed they weren’t fully giving her attention.

She was angry at them. “I am talking to humans and not animals. I should get a reply to every question I ask.”

“I’m sorry, ma’am, but we aren’t taking orders from you.” The chef spoke with a full chest.

“What… is that supposed to be me?” Kelly questioned, her face stained with anger.

“We only take orders from the boss. And since he isn’t here, we do not take orders from any one except him.” She said without retaliation.

“Oh, I see where the boldness is coming from.” She said, walking to her direction. “I am the master’s girlfriend, so whatever I say, you must do regardless. Now he is away, I am in full charge of the house, understood?”

“Then you’ll have to force me to do your will. While I still breathe, I will obey no man.” Kelly dashed her a resounding slap not minding she was older than her.

“How dare you talk to me in such a manner? How dare you? Have you got no respect, or should I help train you with that?” She stormed.

“If you lay a finger on me, then you’ll be sorry for your sake. Don’t test me.” She fumed.

Kelly smirked, about to land another slap on her face when the chef held her hand halfway, using her other hand to return a harder slap on Kelly’s face. Kelly’s face turned red, her eyes bulged open in surprise.

How dare she?

“I warned you, don’t test me. I’ve been quiet doesn’t mean I am a fool with no right, no one here is a fool, Kelly. So get that at the back of your skull.” She walked out on her, leaving for the kitchen.

With her bold step, the other maids departed to their duty position. Kelly was speechless, she wasn’t expecting such from them. She knew she had lost her right, her prestige to them. But today wasn’t the end of it. She always has her way of doing things.

Meanwhile, Freya and Myra safely reached her home. The driver helped take their bags into the apartment. Myra had already brought Freya’s wheelchair to wheel her to the building but Freya insisted she can use her legs.

Myra refused she should walk but Freya, being the stubborn lady she is, assured her she would be fine with using her legs. Myra walked by her side just in case she lost her balance.

To Myra’s surprise, Freya was walking well, although the effect of the accident could be noticed in the way she walked. “Seriously, you don’t need the wheelchair any more.” Myra said excited to see her friend walking properly.

“Thanks. I’m sick and tired of sitting there all the time. Gosh, it’s almost a week and two days, I think I should be walking by now.” Myra laughed at her.

“Mr Vincenzo will be happy to see you walking.”

Freya’s mood changed immediately. Myra noticed it and decided to ask. “What’s wrong, Freya?”

She shook her head, forcing a smile on her face. “It’s nothing serious.”

Myra knew she was lying, but didn’t want to go too further asking. “Wow, you have a nice home.” She complimented.

“Thank you.” She blushed. “There’s no food in the kitchen, but I can send for a pizza.”

“Don’t worry, I can go to the market and buy some thing better than the pizza.”

Freya shrugged her shoulders. “Hand me my purse.” Myra gave her purse to her. “Here, buy whatever that needs to be in the kitchen.”

Myra took the money from her and left for the market. Some how, Freya felt happy to be back home. An aboard safer than that of Vincenzo. Not because Vincenzo’s wasn’t safe, but with Kelly around, nothing feels safe any more.

She thought of calling Vincenzo, but on a second thought changed her mind. She didn’t want to bother him with any thing, he’d definitely find her when he returned. She trusts him, believing Kelly’s stay in that mansion was only for a short while.

Myra returned sooner than expected. She went to the kitchen to begin preparation. In no time, she was done cooking. She brought the meals, serving it on the table.

“Thanks.”

“You don’t have to keep thanking me, you’ve got me.”

“I still think I need to. I mean, who would do all these for me? Thought I’d lost every thing, but with you and Vincenzo, I have it all.”

A moment for Kelly to feel victorious 😂
