HOSPITAL — MORNING
The first light of morning crept through the blinds, casting slanted stripes across the hospital room. Evelyn stirred awake, her head heavy, her body aching .She didn’t feel alive.
Her face was ruined.
But then she saw him.
Leonard. Standing silently by the window, arms crossed, looking every bit as cold and animalistic.
She could swear her soul left her body , his presence sent chills down her spine, Not again, she muttered.
Leonard stared at her feasting on her fear , so diabolically good .
His lips curled into a predatory smile.
He was bored , but when he heard that Evelyn was admitted to the hospital cos of him , he decided to inflict more PAIN .
“I didn’t hire him,” she said suddenly, the words spilling out. “I swear I didn’t—”.
“I didn’t hire him,” she blurted out before he could say a word. “I swear, Leonard… I wasn’t the one who sent the man after Giselle.”
Leonard’s eyes narrowed. He had a gift—a dangerous, infallible talent. He could see lies. And right now… he could tell she wasn’t lying.
“You expect me to believe you?” he said, his voice low, sharp like a knife. Not a trace of softness.
“I… I’m telling the truth!” she pleaded.
Leonard eyes turned dark , how could he had made such a mistake? A big mistake.
Someone was definitely playing him .
He walked out slamming the door so hard that Evelyn’s heart jumped.
Evelyn smirked deviously.
She didn’t send that guy to shot Giselle but whoever sent or hired that guy is her new favorite person.
An enemy of your enemy is your friend.
” But wait!” Evelyn muttered putting the pieces together.
No f+kin way!!!!!!.
Outside , Leonard furiously opened the car door then he stepped in still fuming , still angry at himself.
Just when he was about to ignite the engines , his phone rang.
He smiled when he saw the caller’s ID.
SHORT WITCH CALLING.
Just the soothing remedy he needs.
He answered without a second thought.
” You left me alone on the bed!! Not fair ” Giselle protested ” Am not going to talk to you for a month .”
“Okay,” Leonard said, his tone purposely nonchalant, like the threat barely registered.
“Just okay? Leo!!” Giselle snapped, frustration mixing with amusement. “I’m making it two months then!”
Leonard’s smile deepened, teasing now. “Two months… hmm. Brave of you to try.”
Giselle disconnected the line immediately .
Gawd! she looks like the witch which she is when she’s angry.
She probably looked cute.
He ignited the engines and drove away to his construction site.
Whoever is responsible for harming his Short witch would feel hell on earth .
Promise.
GISELLE’S MANSION
Giselle is standing outside her mansion , she has been trying her best to reach out to to Bruce but he’s not picking up any of his calls.
MTV award show is tonight .
Where is he ?
She strolled towards the door , the driver has already opened the door for her .
Her phone buzzed with a text message from Eleanor.
Eleanor: In for shopping?
Giselle sighed then she replied back .
Giselle : NO .
A Fuckin capital ‘NO’
She texted again.
Giselle : Please tell your husband ,the president that I’m no longer interested in being his step daughter. I only agreed to pay Aimee back . To be sincere I haven’t met parents like you in my life , you didn’t teach your daughter any values, since you couldn’t change her , you expected me to .LOL .
She texted again.
Giselle : I enjoyed the moments we spent together .
Giselle smiled coldly as she stepped into the car .
Leonard’s cold attitude is rubbing off on her .
HIGH WAY
Many luxurious care on the road.
In a red Ferrari car , Aimee is seated on the driver’s seat , hands on the wheel calculatively.
She’s on her way to Leonard’s construction site , It’s been long , she fuckin missed him a lot .
Just hours and Leonard will belong to her .
When Giselle’s truth is out , not just Leonard will turn against her ,the public will .
She laughed ghastly.
Her eyes darted to a girl ( Jemimah ), judging by her looks she looked tangled , rough , dirty and smelling .
For a moment their eyes met but Aimee drove in full speed.
Gawd! how could she had looked at that poor thing , ridiculous.
Her car finally halted at the Construction site , she stylishly stepped out breathed in and out then she cat walked towards the entrance.
She smiled as she felt all eyes on her , they weren’t staring at her but her ass.
It’s obvious , so f+kin obvious .She did BBL yesterday.
She’s still recovering from the procedure.
Leonard would literally run crazy when he sees her new ass.
She took a deep breath , without knocking she stepped in with confidence.
That was a mistake she did , cos a knife was aimed straight at her face ,
she quickly bent down ,the knife stabbed the door instead.
He quickly composed herself ,her eyes met Leonard’s dark excruciating gaze .
She quickly looked away intimidated by him , she stared at her skin. F+kin goosebumps.
She swallowed nothing down her throat , It’s been long she had met Leonard . his gaze alone made her terrified .
Who cares ? She loves him like that
” Leo …”
” Finish that statement and I’ll cut off your tongue!!” Leonard dared , his voice deadly and sharp as he leaned on his chair.
Her presence hit him like a cold splash of water, and not the refreshing kind.
“But Leo,” Aimee purred, smirking as she did a little spin, making her BBL impossible to ignore. “I did this just for you.”
Leonard’s expression didn’t change. Not a twitch. Not a flinch. He looked like someone had just asked him to solve world hunger in three minutes. Pure irritation radiated off him.
Aimee sashayed closer, slowly, deliberately, like a cat who knew it owned the world. Leonard’s glare cut through the air, stopping her mid-step.
“Leave, Aimee! Just… leave!!!” he said, his voice calm but sharp, skeptical enough to make her second-guess every step.
Aimee froze, fake shock painted across her face. “Oh come on, Leo! Don’t be like that…”
Before she could continue, the door creaked open. In stepped Giselle, eyes narrowing the moment she saw Aimee.
“Really?” Giselle’s voice dripped with dramatic disdain. “Really?”
Leonard smirked ,the drama his short witch was gonna deliver would be pure cinematic.
” What the hell are you doing in my Leo’s office ?” Aimee snapped.
Giselle stepped forward, eyes locked on Leonard with a fire that could melt steel.
“Leonard is MINE,” she declared, voice loud, confident, and dripping with possessive triumph.
Leonard raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips. “Oh? Is that so?”
“Yes. That is so,” Giselle replied, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Before Leonard could respond, she strode past Aimee, who was still standing frozen, mouth open like she’d just seen a ghost.
With effortless confidence, Giselle slid onto Leonard’s lap, making him pause for just a fraction of a second—enough for his smirk to widen ever so slightly.
Leonard opened his mouth, maybe to protest… but then Giselle leaned in and kissed him—a quick, deliberate kiss that left the room spinning.
Aimee’s face turned pale. Her mouth opened, then closed, then quivered. Tears welled up instantly, and she let out a high-pitched squeal.
“You… you—” Aimee stammered, flailing slightly, “I—this isn’t fair! Not fair! How—how can she—”
” Grab a boob baby .” Giselle whispered naughtily to his hearing .
Leonard obeyed instantly , he grabbed one boob , fondling and squeezing it , their lips reconnected again.
Aimee forgot how to breath ,tears welled up in her eyes and she ran out .
PRIDE HIGH — LIBRARY
The library was quiet, the only sounds the soft rustle of pages and the occasional squeak of a chair. Jeremy sat at a corner table, nose buried in a thick textbook, trying to focus.
But he knew someone was coming.
Sure enough, Lionel appeared at the doorway, striding in like he owned the place, eyes scanning until they landed on Jeremy.
Jeremy froze for a fraction of a second, then went right back to his book, pretending his world contained nothing more than chemical equations and footnotes.
Lionel raised an eyebrow. “Hey,” he said, casually, as if nothing had happened earlier.
Jeremy didn’t even look up. His finger traced a line of text with exaggerated focus, a silent message in itself: I see you, but I’m ignoring you.
Lionel frowned, stepping closer. “Jeremy…”
Still nothing. Jeremy flipped a page deliberately, slower than necessary, making it painfully obvious he was choosing not to acknowledge Lionel.
Inside, Lionel’s pride stirred. He had ignored Jeremy earlier, and now… now Jeremy was giving him a taste of his own medicine.
“Oh, really?” Lionel muttered under his breath, his tone sharp, almost amused. “We’re doing this today?”
Jeremy finally glanced up—but only enough to glare subtly, then went back to his book, as if to say: Yes. I see you. But you’re not worth my time.
Lionel made to speak but his phone buzzed with a message from Eva.
Eva : Stay away from Jeremy!!.
Lionel sighed , he stood abruptly making his way to the door.
” Stop Lionel ” Jeremy went after him hugging him from behind.
” You’re really hurting me , one moment you’re nice to me then the other you’re mean . Did I do anything wrong ?” Jeremy asked tears already welling in his eyes .
Lionel heart softened but he pushed Jeremy away and walked out .
He forced a smile when he saw Daniel approaching him .
Jeremy hiccuped.
LIAM’S MANSION — ROOM
The mansion was silent except for the faint hum of the air conditioner. Tate stood in the middle of the sitting room, fists clenched, eyes blazing.
“You… you didn’t even ask me!” she shouted, voice sharp and echoing against the high ceilings. “You made the decision… for me! For my health!”
Liam ran a hand through his hair, jaw tight. “Tate… I didn’t want to hide anything. I—”
“Didn’t want to hide anything?!” Tate interrupted, stepping closer, anger making her voice tremble. “We both knew what could happen! But you… you decided it all! You let them… abort it! And I couldn’t do a thing
Liam’s chest tightened. “I only wanted to protect you. The doctors—”
“I didn’t need protecting!” Tate snapped, cutting him off. “I know the risks! I can make my own decisions, Liam. You made it for me!”.
He swallowed, trying to find the right words, but she wasn’t done. Her hands shook slightly with frustration. “Do you even understand what I went through? The doctors… the procedure… the pain… the—”
“Enough,” Liam said softly, though his tone was firm, controlled. “I know, Tate. I know exactly what you went through. And I’m sorry… truly. But I couldn’t lose you. I couldn’t risk your life.”
“You just lost me, Liam. It’s over,” Tate’s voice rang sharp, echoing in the high ceilings of the mansion. Her hands gripped the railing as she climbed the stairs, every step deliberate. “You can go back to Paris now. I still have some unfinished business… for Leonard.”
Liam’s world shattered in that instant.
“Don’t worry,” Tate added, never turning back. “I’ll leave your mansion myself.”
He didn’t move. He couldn’t. The words echoed in his head, each syllable hammering like a drum. She wants to end us… just because I prioritized her life… her health…
Liam clenched his fists so hard his knuckles whitened. Rage, disbelief, and heartbreak collided inside him. FUCK HER! he thought, teeth grinding.
He had poured his time, money, everything into her. Every decision, every plan, every sacrifice… and she called it stupid. She didn’t even see the intention behind it, didn’t even consider why he had acted the way he did.
Stupid… crazy… ungrateful… the thoughts swirled in his mind, furious, unrelenting.
Liam stalked to his phone, slammed his palm on the desk, and dialed his PA line with a sharp, deliberate press.
“Catch me the next flight to Paris. ASAP,” he said, voice low, dangerous, every word dripping with frustration. Without another word, he grabbed his coat and left, the door slamming behind him like the punctuation mark on their relationship.
Meanwhile, Tate descended the stairs slowly, chest tight, stomach twisting. Gawd… she actually broke up with him out of anger.
Her mind raced. How could she? After everything? He saved me, and I—
She sank into a chair at the bottom of the stairs, arms wrapped around herself, shaking. Her heart screamed at her, but so did her pride. She had let anger speak louder than sense, and now the consequences were staring her in the face: Liam… gone.
MTV AWARDS NIGHT
The bright lights of the MTV Awards reflected off the glossy floors of the red carpet, illuminating every designer gown, every tailored tuxedo, every camera flash. The air buzzed with anticipation, laughter, and the faint scent of perfume.
Giselle emerged first, stepping out of her sleek black car. The crowd’s attention snapped instantly. Every eye turned, every camera lens aimed at her. Her dress shimmered like liquid starlight, hugging every curve perfectly, glittering under the lights.
She paused for a moment, letting the flashes capture her flawless entrance. Her heels clicked softly against the floor as she walked, her confidence radiating in every step. She smiled at the cameras—charming, elegant, untouchable. Tonight, the spotlight was hers.
Reporters scrambled toward her, microphones thrust forward. “Giselle! How does it feel to be here without Bruce?”
She tilted her head, a small, knowing smile curving her lips. “I’m here for the music,” she said, voice steady, composed, dripping with subtle defiance. “Bruce? He’s somewhere else. I’m here… living my moment.”
Flashes popped like fireworks as she continued along the carpet, waving, posing, owning every step. Every whisper, every look, every camera captured her unapologetic presence.
And then, just as the crowd was marveling at her, a hush fell over the red carpet. A ripple of excitement swept through the attendees.
The massive doors at the entrance swung open, and Leonard made his grand entrance.
Tailored tuxedo, perfect posture, that signature smirk. Cameras swarmed him instantly, microphones thrust forward. Reporters shouted, “Leonard! Who are you here with tonight? “
Leonard smirked as he moved closer to Giselle.
“She is…” Leonard’s smirk widened, eyes flicking to Giselle as she approached, “…my oxygen. O. Just like oxygen, she keeps me alive, keeps my world spinning. Without her… nothing reacts. No fire, no life, no spark.”
Giselle’s lips twitched into a small, amused smile, her eyes sparkling with delight and disbelief.
He didn’t stop there. Leonard’s hand swept toward the cameras, commanding attention. “She is my carbon, my hydrogen, my nitrogen—every element I need to exist, to react, to… ignite.”
Flashes erupted like fireworks. Whispers filled the air: Did he just…?
“And let me be clear,” Leonard said, lowering his voice, letting it drip with teasing possessiveness, “she is not available to any other reaction. She belongs only in my equation.”
Giselle’s heart fluttered.
A tear drop fell from her eyes.
