[ Leonard’s Private Villa – Bathroom ]

The bathroom was silent except for the faint sound of water.

Giselle sat inside the large marble bathtub, the cold water rising slowly around her skin.

She needed it.

Needed something to cool the heat still lingering in her veins.

Her head rested against the edge of the tub as she closed her eyes. The water was cold — almost too cold — but it didn’t quiet the memory.

The way Leonard had looked at her.

Not playful.

Not teasing.

Hungry.

Her fingers tightened slightly under the water.

“Why does he look at me like that…” she whispered to herself.

She sank deeper into the tub, letting the water brush against her shoulders.

It wasn’t just his touch.

It was the way he held back.

The way he stopped.

The way he whispered her name like it meant something.

Her heart betrayed her again, beating faster at the memory.

“Stupid Leonard,” she muttered softly.
She splashed water over her face, trying to steady herself.

She hated how easily he could unravel her.

Hated how her body reacted before her pride could catch up.

But what unsettled her most…wasn’t the touch.

It was the way she didn’t want him to stop.

Her breathing slowed gradually.

The cold water finally began doing its job, pulling her back into control.
Giselle opened her eyes and stared at her reflection in the mirror across the bathroom.

What could have happened if she hadn’t kicked Leonard in his groin ? actually, she is now regretting pushing him away . How would it feel to having his finger buried in her core ?

The mere thought of it made her puxxy water even more .

” F+k you Leo!” Giselle cussed with an eye roll .

She stood up slowly, wrapping a robe around herself and she stepped out of the bathroom.

She froze.

Leonard was standing near the window, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a cigarette. Smoke curled upward lazily, disappearing into the dim light above.

But there was nothing lazy about him.
His jaw was tight, his eyes — dark. Sharp. Controlled.

He didn’t look at her immediately.

He took one last drag before flicking the ash into the tray beside him.

Then he turned.

And the temperature in the room dropped.

Giselle swallowed.

He was angry.

And she knew why.

The memory flashed in her mind — her knee hitting him in panic before she rushed to the bathroom.

To her, it’s the effect of nervousness
.
To him?

Rejection.

“Uhm… Leo, I’m sorry,” she started pouting cutely.

Leonard lips curled into a satisfied smile , who was he kidding ? there was no way he would stay angry at his short witch .

“Am I forgiven?” Giselle asked, that mischievous smirk dancing on her lips.

Before he could answer, she stepped forward — closing the distance between them.

Her hands slid up, wrapping lightly around his neck.

Leonard’s brows lifted slightly.

” I wasn’t angry because you kicked me,” he admitted quietly.

Her smirk faded slightly. “Then why?”

He held her gaze.“Because for a second… I thought you didn’t want me.”

That vulnerability — small but real — caught her off guard.

Her hands tightened around his neck.

Giselle felt guilty instantly , what would be his reaction if he finds out that she was just playing him.

Leonard’s phone rang , the screen lit up revealing the caller’s ID.

AIMEE CALLING.

Leonard scoffed and he switched off his phone.

” She’s your girlfriend , you need to to answer her calls ” Giselle smiled intensely but mischievously.

” You mean my addition of problems ” Leonard corrected pulling her nose gently.

Giselle laughed.

” Are we supposed to be somewhere ?” Leonard asked staring lustfully at her lips .

he’s drooling… madly.

She noticed , then her eyes widened , the President’s ball is in a few minutes.

[ Outside Jeremy’s House – Night ]

Lionel pulled the car to a smooth stop in front of Jeremy’s gate.

The engine hummed softly before he turned it off.

“We’re here,” Lionel said casually, glancing at him.

Jeremy didn’t move, how could he go back into that house , to his mother and act like all was well when it wasn’t.

Lionel noticed immediately.
“You okay?” he asked, studying him.

Jeremy’s jaw tightened slightly.“I don’t want to go home.”

His words were quiet but heavy , then fir the first time in years he thought about Giselle and felt so guilty.

Lionel’s playful expression faded.
“What happened?”

Jeremy stared ahead at the dark house beyond the gate.“Nothing,” he muttered. “I just… don’t feel like being there tonight.”

A beat of silence.

Lionel didn’t push.

He simply restarted the engine.

“Where do you want to go?” he asked calmly.

Jeremy finally looked at him —surprised.“You’re not going to ask questions?”

” No ” Lionel replied.

The drive was now silent but Lionel occasionally glanced at the mole on Jeremy’s neck.

So fuckin s+xy.

” Where are we going?”Jeremy asked breaking the silence .

Lionel glanced at him briefly — eyes mischievous.“I’m taking you to your death.”

Jeremy froze.

“…What?”

Lionel kept his face completely serious.“Quiet place. No witnesses. Dramatic scenery. Very poetic ending”

Jeremy stared at him for two full seconds before smacking his arm lightly.“You’re insane!”

Lionel burst out laughing.“There it is,” he said. “That’s the reaction I wanted.”

Jeremy folded his arms. “I’m being serious and you’re joking about death?”

Lionel’s smile softened slightly.“I know you’re serious,” he said more quietly. “That’s why I’m joking.”

Jeremy blinked.

Lionel continued, eyes back on the road.“If I don’t tease you, you’ll sink into your thoughts and drown in them. And I’m not in the mood to perform CPR tonight.”

Jeremy rolled his eyes, but his shoulders relaxed just a little.

Lionel was mid-sentence when—
SCREEECH.

A black SUV swerved in front of them, stopping abruptly.

Lionel slammed the brakes.

Jeremy’s body jerked forward slightly.
“What the—?!”

Before Lionel could react—
Another car pulled up behind them.
Blocking the road completely.

Jeremy’s heartbeat spiked.“Lionel…” he whispered.

Lionel’s playful energy vanished instantly, his eyes sharpened.

Three more cars pulled up from the side streets.

Trapped.

The engine was still running, but there was nowhere to go.

Jeremy’s breathing became shallow. “They’re blocking us…”

Lionel’s jaw tightened. “Stay calm.”

Car doors opened.

One.

Two.

Three.

Men stepped out slowly, surrounding Lionel’s car.

Heavy boots against asphalt.
Jeremy recognized one face immediately.

His stomach dropped.

They’re the same men who beat him up cos if money , what else do they want from him again? be already paid up his debts.

A thug walked up and tapped on the driver’s window with something metallic.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

“Step out,” the man said coldly.

Lionel didn’t move.Instead, he locked the doors with a soft click.

Jeremy swallowed. “What are we going to do?”

“Trust me.”Lionel’s voice was calm.
Too calm.

The thug outside grew impatient and slammed his palm against the window.
“OUT!”

Lionel leaned slightly toward Jeremy.
“Seatbelt on tight.”

“What—?”

Suddenly—Lionel reversed hard.

CRASH.

Their car slammed into the vehicle behind them, pushing it slightly off alignment.

Jeremy gasped.

Before the thugs could react—
Lionel shifted gears and accelerated forward.

The SUV ahead wasn’t fully braced.
Their car rammed into its side hard enough to create a narrow gap.

Metal scraped.

Glass cracked.

“Hold on!” Lionel shouted.
He forced the steering wheel sharply and squeezed through the small opening.

A gunshot sound echoed behind them—
But it hit the back windshield,
shattering it partially.

Jeremy flinched.

Lionel didn’t slow down.

He sped into the main road, weaving into traffic.

“Are you insane?!” Jeremy yelled, adrenaline rushing.
Lionel’s knuckles were white on the steering wheel.“Probably.”

Another car tried to follow.
Lionel made a sudden sharp turn into a narrow side street.

The pursuing headlights disappeared.
Silence.

Only their heavy breathing filled the car.

Jeremy looked at Lionel in shock.
“You could’ve gotten hurt.”

“But I didn’t.”Lionel glanced at him.
“I told you I wasn’t taking you to your death.”

“dumbo,” Jeremy rolled his eyes.

” You knew those guys , didn’t you ?”

Jeremy hesitantly nodded.

THE MERCER’S ESTATE”

The President’s Private Ball
The Mercer Estate looked like a palace carved out of arrogance and old money.

Crystal chandeliers dripped from cathedral ceilings. Gold-lined pillars framed the grand ballroom. A live orchestra played something slow and classical, the kind of music that made conversations sound expensive.

Politicians. CEOs. Media moguls. Old-money families, Celebrities, Popstars.

Power didn’t just attend tonight.
It breathed here.

At the top of the marble staircase stood President Richard Mercer, tailored midnight suit, posture straight as authority itself. His presence didn’t need announcement.

Beside him, Eleanor Mercer.
Silver silk gown. Diamond choker resting perfectly against flawless skin. Her beauty wasn’t loud.

It was lethal.

Together, they looked untouchable.

” Dear husband , I don’t see Aimee around ?” Eleanor whispered to his hearing alone while she flashed a smile for the camera.

” I told her not to .” Richard replied nonchalantly.

” You told Aimee not to come and you think she won’t come , you’re underestimating Aimee as always.” Eleanor muttered , her smile didn’t falter .

Richard ignored her words .

From a little distance away Aimee was watching with an evil smirk curled on her lips , She’s disguised as a waitress in her father’s estate., Lol.

The grand doors opened.

A ripple of murmurs spread across the ballroom.

Bruce stepped in first.
Black velvet suit. No tie. Confidence effortless.

He didn’t try to impress the room.
The room adjusted itself to him.
He gave a lazy nod to a few familiar faces, already scanning the crowd like he owned half the charts — which he did.

Whispers followed him.

“That’s Bruce.”
“The VMA nominee.”
“Back to Hell?”

He smirked slightly.

He loved attention.

Another announcement stirred the room.

Liam entered calmly, charcoal suit, composed expression, eyes observant. He moved like someone who calculated everything before stepping forward.

Beside him, Tate.

Sharp black suit, silver lapel pin, posture relaxed but alert. His gaze swept the ballroom quickly — taking in exits, faces, threats.

They weren’t loud.

They didn’t need to be.

Influence followed quietly behind them.

Tate doesn’t look happy, she hates the fact that those bitches her drooling over her Liam.A Sharp hit her on her abdomen but she paid no attention to it like always.

The doors opened again.

But this time—

Silence fell.

Not murmurs.Not whispers.
Silence.

A sleek black Rolls-Royce had already been noticed pulling into the estate minutes ago.

And now—Leonard stepped inside.
Tailored black tuxedo. No unnecessary flash. Just precision.

Cold composure. Controlled dominance.

He didn’t smile.

He assessed.

The ballroom subtly shifted.
Because Leonard wasn’t just rich,
He was dangerous rich.

President Richard’s eyes narrowed slightly from the staircase.

Of course he was invited.

Power respects power.

But Leonard wasn’t alone.

A soft gasp rippled through the room as Giselle stepped in beside him.

Emerald green gown.
Gold-thread embroidery catching chandelier light like flames dancing across silk.

The train flowed behind her like royalty in motion.

Her hair fell effortlessly over one shoulder, makeup flawless but not overdone.

She didn’t look nervous.

She looked claimed.

Leonard’s hand rested lightly at the small of her back.

Possessive.

Bruce, across the room, stiffened slightly.

” The King …” Liam started smirking.

” And Queen has arrived ” Tate completed.

” Wasn’t Aimee dating Leonard?”.

“F+k Aimee , I prefer Giselle”.

” That’s harsh “.

” You ain’t seen harsh yet , Aimee’s a bitch!!!!!!”.

Aimee nearly dropped her tray ,her heart broke into a million pieces as she watched Leonard’s hand linger on Giselle’s waist.

He has never touched her like this before , what’s so special about Giselle.

Leonard and Giselle approached the top of the grand staircase.
The room seemed to hush as they reached the center of the ballroom.

President Richard Mercer descended slightly from the staircase, his gaze sharp as ever. Eleanor followed, elegance in every step.

“Leonard,” Richard began, voice smooth but carrying authority, “it’s… good to see you here.”

Leonard inclined his head slightly. “Sir. It’s an honor to be invited.”

Richard’s piercing eyes didn’t leave him. “Giselle,” he added, glancing at her with a faint smile, “you clean up quite well.”

Giselle dipped her head politely, hands clasped in front of her. “Thank you, Mr. President. It’s a privilege to be here.”

” don’t stare at her three much , I bite .” Leonard smiled daringly.

Eleanor let out a soft laughter .

” Stop laughing , don’t try to seduce me , am with my princess .She might get jealous ” Leonard chuckled then he pulled Giselle’s hand and descended the stairs.

It’s obvious he doesn’t want to talk to them .

” He is mad ” Richard confirmed.

” What you’re about to do tonight is madder!” Eleanor said.

[ Pride high— Science lab ]

The lab was dark and quiet — perfect for concentrating… or for trouble.
Daniel carefully measured a chemical into a beaker. “Eva, remember — precision. One wrong move and we ruin the project.”

Eva hovered beside him, notebook in hand, pretending to be serious. “Relax. I’ve got this. I’m basically a scientist now.”

Daniel raised an eyebrow. “Basically? That sounds… concerning.”

Eva grinned mischievously. “Exactly.”
She reached for a bottle of solution, squinting at the label upside down. “Okay, this one’s fine, right?”

Daniel leaned over. “Are you sure? That’s—”

Before he could finish, Eva shook the bottle a little too hard.

BOOM!

A roaring flame shot out of the beaker, licking the ceiling. Smoke curled aggressively, alarms blaring. Flames danced along the counters, and tiny sparks rained down like fireworks.

Daniel froze, eyes wide, foam from the extinguisher half-squirted on the counter. “EVA!!! WHAT DID YOU DO?!”

Eva raised her hands, innocent and panicked. “I… I thought it would just… bubble!”

The fire spread quickly — a small curtain of flame jumped onto the paper towels. Beakers rattled as if cheering the chaos on.

Daniel grabbed the extinguisher, hissing as he sprayed, but the foam barely touched the roaring blaze.

Eva ducked, laughing nervously. “Science is lit, Daniel! Get it? Lit!”

Daniel groaned, foam dripping from his hair. “You are literally trying to burn the school down!”

One of the Bunsen burners tipped over, sending another flare up the wall. Sparks flew everywhere.

Eva clapped her hands excitedly. “It’s beautiful! Look at it! Our project… on fire!”

Daniel groaned again, shielding his eyes. “Our project is literally on fire!”

The fire alarm screamed. Smoke filled the room. Both of them coughed and waved their hands frantically.

Eva peeked through the smoke. “Okay, maybe this is slightly… too much?”

Daniel glared at her, foam-covered and furious, but she couldn’t stop giggling.

“Next time,” he muttered, “I choose the chemicals. No more creative chaos.”

Eva faced Daniel seriously.

” If this school burns down ….” Eva started.

” There won’t be school for weeks , months .” Daniel’s eye lits up ” You’re a genius Eva!”.

” I know right!” Eva winked then both of them ran out leaving the fire to spread everywhere.

The Mercer Estate – Ballroom – Toast

The orchestra softened, and the murmurs in the room quieted as President Richard Mercer raised his glass.

“All right, everyone,” he began, his deep voice commanding attention. “If I may have your focus for just a moment.”

Conversations died down. Heads turned. Glasses were held mid-air. Even the orchestra paused.

Leonard’s eyes flicked toward the President, calm but alert. Giselle adjusted her posture beside him, sensing something big was coming.

Richard’s piercing gaze scanned the room before settling on Giselle.
“Tonight is not just a celebration of accomplishments,” he continued. “It is… also about family. And family is more than blood. It is about who you choose, and who chooses you.”

A hush fell. Giselle’s heartbeat quickened. Leonard’s hand lightly touched hers, subtle but protective.

Richard Mercer’s eyes softened ever so slightly, and then he dropped the bomb.“Giselle,” he said, voice steady and loud enough for every ear to catch, “I would be honored if you allowed me to adopt you as my daughter.”

The room froze. Whispers erupted. Glasses clinked nervously. Socialites and CEOs exchanged shocked glances.

Giselle’s jaw went slack. Leonard’s eyes narrowed, calm but calculating.
And then — the one person who had hoped to claim this moment for herself — Aimee.

She stood frozen for a heartbeat, then bolted. Tears streamed down her face as she fled the ballroom, running past guests and staff alike.

Leonard’s dark eyes followed her, recognizing her instantly.

He wickedly smirked as he watched her leave.

It’s only the beginning.

[ 4 years Earlier , Starlight College]

From a distance, Leonard slowly backed his black car into a parking space, engine humming softly beneath controlled precision.

Noah sat beside him, scrolling through his tablet, unaware of the shift in the air.

Then Leonard saw her.
Under the shade of a flowering tree stood a girl — fragile, trembling, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Giselle.

Her shoulders shook as she tried to hold herself together. Beside her, Aimee wrapped an arm around her, whispering something soft, protective.

Leonard’s hands froze on the steering wheel.

His sharp, dark eyes narrowed.
Something inside his chest tightened — not pity.

Possession.

The world around him faded into silence. Students walked past. Laughter echoed. But all he could see was her.

Crying.

Vulnerable.

Breakable.

And in that exact moment, something dangerous settled inside him.

This was not sympathy.

This was obsession.

“Sir?” Noah asked, noticing Leonard had stopped moving.

Leonard didn’t blink.

“Noah,” he called quietly.

Noah immediately straightened. “Yes, sir.”

Leonard’s gaze never left Giselle.
“I want everything about her. Name. Background. Family. Habits. Friends.” His voice was calm — too calm.

Noah nodded, already pulling up connections.

Leonard’s jaw tightened.

“And her friends?” Noah asked carefully.

A faint smirk curled on Leonard’s lips.
“Reward them.”

“And whoever made her cry…”His eyes darkened — cold, merciless.” I’ll inflict on them a slow but… treacherous pain”.

” Yes sir ” Noah nodded.
