Sky was still under the shower when Nancy sat on the edge of the hotel bed, the room dim except for the lamp by the nightstand.

Steam curled from beneath the bathroom door. She picked up her phone and dialed a number. It was answered on the first ring.

โ€œHello, maโ€™am,โ€ Danzo said.

โ€œI need you to do something for me,โ€ Nancy replied calmly.

โ€œWhat is it, maโ€™am?โ€

โ€œI want you to look into Skyโ€™s scandal,โ€ She said, her voice steady.

โ€œThe deepfake video. And the explosion at his apartment. Not many people know where he lived, which means this wasnโ€™t random. I need to know whoโ€™s behind all of it.โ€

โ€œUnderstood, maโ€™am,โ€ Danzo said without hesitation. โ€œIโ€™ll start immediately and report back once I find anything.โ€

She paused for a second. โ€œYou know what to do when you find them, right?โ€

โ€œYes, maโ€™am.โ€

โ€œGood.โ€ She ended the call and let the phone rest in her palm, her gaze drifting toward the bathroom door.

Someone is really going to feel pain, she thought.

The door opened moments later and Sky stepped out, already dressed, his hair still damp, his face calmer than it had been all night but still carrying the weight of everything heโ€™d survived.

He stopped when he saw her looking at him.

โ€œHey,โ€ he said quietly.

She smiled, soft but unreadable.

He hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. โ€œUmโ€ฆ thanks again. And about earlierโ€ฆthe kiss…โ€

โ€œYou mad that I kissed you?โ€ she asked, arching a brow.

He didnโ€™t answer, just looked at her, searching.

โ€œIโ€™m not going to apologize,โ€ she added.

โ€œI didnโ€™t ask you to,โ€ He said, stepping closer. His voice lowered. โ€œAs a matter of factโ€”โ€

He leaned in, instinct taking over, but she turned her face at the last second, his lips brushing past her cheek instead.

โ€œNah,โ€ She said lightly. โ€œYou think I kissed you because I like you?โ€

โ€œButโ€”โ€

She chuckled and suddenly looped her arms around his neck, close enough for him to feel her breath, close enough to make his heart stumble.

โ€œYouโ€™re going to have to earn it, Sky,โ€ She whispered, eyes glinting. โ€œI wonโ€™t make it easy for you.โ€

She winked, slipped out of his hold, and picked up her bag.

โ€œCall your manager,โ€ She said, all business now. โ€œTell her what happened. You need to go to your agency. Theyโ€™ll be worried about you.โ€ She moved toward the door.

โ€œIโ€™m checking out.โ€

Before he could respond, she was gone, the door clicking shut behind her.

Sky stood there alone in the quiet room, her words echoing, his chest tightโ€”not with pain this time, but with something dangerous.

What was that all about?

Kai and Emma were both lying on his bed as he stroked her hair.

โ€œYouโ€™re sure that Skyโ€™s dead?โ€ He asked.

โ€œHundred percent,โ€ Emma said without blinking. โ€œThereโ€™s no way he made it out alive. Iโ€™m sure of it.โ€

His jaw tightened. โ€œDo you know if they found his body?โ€

She shrugged lightly, like it meant nothing.

โ€œThe fire spread to a few other houses. The firefighters havenโ€™t been able to recover any bodies yet. The damage is bad.โ€ She stepped closer, voice softening.

โ€œBut donโ€™t worry. Sky isnโ€™t a problem anymore.โ€

She kissed him then, slow and deliberate, sealing the lie with her lips.

Kaiโ€™s hands went to her waist immediately, gripping hard as he turned them and rolled, shifting until he was on top.

He pulled back just long enough to drag his shirt over his head, tossing it aside without looking.

A dark smile curved his mouth as he leaned back down.

โ€œLooks like youโ€™ve done a good job,โ€ He murmured. โ€œAnd good girls get good rewards.โ€

He captured her mouth again, in a rough kiss this time while she did nothing but moan into his mouth.

Sky sat quietly as Billie placed a bottle of water into his hands. Her movements were careful, her eyes scanning him like she was afraid he might disappear if she blinked.

โ€œIโ€™m so glad youโ€™re safe,โ€ She said softly. โ€œWhat happened? How did your apartment blow up?โ€

He stared at the bottle for a second before twisting the cap open.

โ€œI donโ€™t know,โ€ he answered honestly. โ€œI have no idea who would do this to me. Iโ€™m justโ€ฆ glad I left when I did. I canโ€™t believe I almost died.โ€

Billieโ€™s jaw tightened.

โ€œSky, I think itโ€™s better you stay put. Or at least move around with a bodyguard whenever you leave this building. Iโ€™m not going to be happy if you get hurt.โ€

He nodded, taking a slow sip. โ€œI promise. Iโ€™m going to be careful.โ€

โ€œGood.โ€ She exhaled, some of the tension leaving her shoulders.

โ€œIโ€™ll be at the office if you need anything.โ€ With one last concerned look, she turned and walked out.

The room felt too quiet after she left.

Sky stood and walked into his bedroom, closing the door behind him before dropping onto the bed.

His body sank into the mattress, exhaustion finally catching up to him, but his mind refused to slow down.

Nancy.

The image of her face rose uninvited, clear and vivid. The way she looked at him. The way she didnโ€™t hesitate to kiss him.

His fingers brushed his lips unconsciously.

โ€œShe really kissed me,โ€ he murmured, the words barely louder than a breath.

A pause.

โ€œThatโ€™s the second time now.โ€

He didnโ€™t even realize he was smiling until his cheeks started to ache.

The thought sent a strange warmth through his chest, something light and unfamiliar pushing against the heaviness heโ€™d been carrying all day.

โ€œSo if she kissed meโ€ฆ does that mean she still likes me?โ€ he muttered to himself, staring up at the ceiling.

โ€œSheโ€™s not in any sort of relationship with Leviโ€ฆโ€

The smile faltered as the thought fully settled.

โ€œFuck,โ€ he whispered.

His heart was already racing again.

Levi sat on the edge of the couch in his room, tightening the laces of his sneakers. When he was done, he pushed to his feet and headed for the door.

โ€œWhere are you going?โ€ Gingerโ€™s voice stopped him.

He turned.

She was coming down the stairs slowly, bare legs first, wearing his shirt. It hung loose on her frame, stopping high above her thighs, the fabric shifting with every step.

Her hair was slightly tousled, like she hadnโ€™t bothered fixing it on purpose.

โ€œSkyโ€™s around,โ€ Levi said, eyes flicking over her before he could stop himself. โ€œThought Iโ€™d go check on him. You heard what happened at his apartment, right?โ€

She nodded. โ€œYeah.โ€

โ€œI might step out too,โ€ she added casually. โ€œGet some fresh air. The night seems cold.โ€

Leviโ€™s gaze dropped again, this time more openly, from her legs back up to her face. โ€œIsnโ€™t that a little too short?โ€

She smirked and walked past him toward the dining area, completely unbothered. โ€œItโ€™s just you.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m a guy,โ€ he said, following her. โ€œYou should cover up.โ€

She glanced over her shoulder, eyes amused. โ€œI donโ€™t want to.โ€

Levi stepped closer, slow and deliberate, until the space between them shrank enough for her to feel his presence at her back.

โ€œSo,โ€ He said quietly, voice dipped low, โ€œ…youโ€™re telling me itโ€™s okay for you to walk around half-naked in front of me?โ€

Ginger stilled.

He leaned in just enough for his breath to brush her ear. โ€œIโ€™m still a guy, you know. And I donโ€™t exactly have that much self-control.โ€

โ€œYou…โ€

“So, it’s okay if I do touch you, right?โ€ He smirked.

Her shoulders tensed. Heat rushed to her face before she could stop it. She turned slightly, expectingโ€”half bracingโ€”for his hands to touch her waist, her thighs, anywhere.

Instead, he just stood there, watching.

Her cheeks burned. Her heartbeat went wild.

Levi chuckled softly.

โ€œLook at you,โ€ He said, amused. โ€œAll red already.โ€

She opened her mouth to say something, anything, but he was already stepping back.

โ€œSee you later,โ€ He added lightly, grabbing his jacket.

And then he was gone.

The door closed behind him, leaving the room too quiet, too warm.

Ginger stood there for a moment, one hand gripping the hem of the shirt, her heart fluttering in her chestโ€”annoyed, and very aware that heโ€™d made her feel this way without laying a single finger on her.

โ€œIt’s really unfair that you only think of me as a friend.โ€ She mumbled.

Derek stood patiently outside Biancaโ€™s room, hands clasped behind his back.

The door creaked open and he looked up just in time to watch her step out and turn slowly, deliberately, giving him a perfect, unapologetic three-sixty.

โ€œWell?โ€ She asked. โ€œHow do I look?โ€

She wore a black crop top that clung to her curves and showed just enough to be distracting, paired with an extremely short skirt that hugged her hips like it had been tailored for trouble.

Loafers grounded her feet.

Derek let out a low breath.

โ€œHot,โ€ He said, then corrected himself with a crooked smile. โ€œNoโ€”dangerously hot.โ€

Her lips curved, satisfied.

โ€œSo,โ€ she said, reaching for the door behind her, โ€œ… you promised me a tour.โ€

โ€œSure,โ€ he replied, stepping aside. โ€œYou first.โ€

She closed the door and walked ahead of him down the corridor.

Derek followed, swallowing hard as his brain short-circuited at the sight of her swaying stride. He forced his eyes forward. Forced being the key word.

Theyโ€™d already driven through the islandโ€”private roads, guarded docks, secluded villas tucked into cliffs and now Derek was showing her the heart of it all: the main building.

Marble floors echoed under their steps as they entered the wide hallway. Men stationed along the walls lowered their heads in respect the moment Derek appeared.

Bianca noticed everything.

โ€œSo,โ€ Derek said casually, though his attention kept drifting back to her, โ€œHow are things with the Yakuza?โ€

โ€œThey know somethingโ€™s coming,โ€ Bianca replied without missing a beat. โ€œThey just donโ€™t know when. Right now, they see the Italian Mafia as their biggest threat.โ€

Derek glanced at her. โ€œAnd when do you think is the best time to attack them?โ€

โ€œOne month,โ€ She said.

He stopped walking. โ€œWhy?โ€

She turned to face him, expression sharp, mind already ten steps ahead.

โ€œTheyโ€™re still uncertain about the war and I think they’ll try to reach out to the other syndicates in China, Russia, Korea. They also donโ€™t have intel on your strategy yet, which means they canโ€™t move.โ€

She continued walking, and he followed, listening closely.

โ€œIf you prepare for a month,โ€ She went on, โ€œ…thereโ€™s the general Mafia summit in Asia. All the leaders will be gathered in one place. That kind of exposure doesnโ€™t happen often and it’ll give you an upper hand.โ€

Derekโ€™s interest was fully captured now.

โ€œA general summitโ€ฆโ€ He nodded slowly. โ€œThat might be the perfect place to strike.โ€

โ€œIt is,โ€ Bianca said simply.

He studied her for a moment, impressed. โ€œWhen you get back, give me everything you have on that summit. Names. Locations. Security. Weโ€™ll stay in touch.โ€

โ€œSure,โ€ she replied, calm and confident.

As they continued down the hallway, Derek couldnโ€™t get his mind off how dangerously hot she looked.

Derek opened the door and they stepped into the office.

โ€œWhat is this office?โ€ Bianca asked, her eyes scanning the sleek, intimidating space.

โ€œThis is the main office of our clan. Wait here for me. Iโ€™ll be back.โ€ Derekโ€™s voice was calm, controlled. He left, the door clicking shut behind him.

Bianca lingered, letting her shoes echo softly across the floor. Her gaze swept over the roomโ€”desks immaculate, walls lined with files. She exhaled slowly.

โ€œNowโ€™s a perfect opportunity. I need to find something,โ€ she whispered, stepping closer to the nearest desk.

Drawers…nothing. Tables…empty. Files were just bureaucratic paperwork, no important information here. She moved to the shelves, her fingers brushing against a row of books.

One rolled slightly under her touch. A soft click sounded.

Her pulse quickened. She crouched, inspecting the shelf, and discovered the outline of a hidden vault.

A digital keypad blinked at her, letters glowing softly in the dim office light.

โ€œF+kโ€ฆ what could the password be?โ€ She muttered.

Her fingers hovered over the keys.

D E R E K P A R K E R โ†’ Error
M A T T E O P A R K E R โ†’ Error

She paused, biting her lip, then let out a small, frustrated sigh.

Almost joking, she typed deliberately:

P A S S W O R D

Beep.

The vault clicked and swung open slowly. Bianca blinked, incredulous.

โ€œThe passwordโ€ฆ is literally โ€˜Passwordโ€™? So lame,โ€ She muttered, shaking her head with a smirk.

Inside, a single box rested. She lifted it carefully, anticipation coiling in her stomach. Opening it, she revealed a rolled-up paper…blueprints.

Not just any blueprintsโ€”the detailed layout of the entire island, every building, every corridor, every security checkpoint meticulously mapped.

โ€œI am indeed a lucky lady,โ€ She whispered, her lips curling into a sly, victorious smile.

___

Derek was on his way to his fatherโ€™s suite when he met him coming out, already dressed in his crisp suit.

โ€œDad.โ€ Derek greeted.

โ€œHmm. You look happy, whatโ€™s the catch?โ€ Matteo asked, arching a brow.

โ€œWell, I told you that I have our plans in motion and guess what, Bianca is already here.โ€ Derek said with a grin.

โ€œWhoโ€™s Bianca?โ€ Matteo asked, curiosity piqued.

โ€œSheโ€™s in The Ryukai and sheโ€™s my spy in the Yakuza, sheโ€™s given me useful Intel that’ll aid in my raid against the Asian Mafia.โ€ Derek explained, eyes gleaming.

โ€œMm. Bianca, where is she? Iโ€™d like to meet her.โ€ Matteoโ€™s tone carried a mix of intrigue and amusement.

โ€œSure, sheโ€™s in the office.โ€ Derek nodded.

โ€œYou look unusually jolly,โ€ Matteo remarked, studying his son.

โ€œWell, I like her. F+k dad, sheโ€™s f+king hot.โ€ Derek said bluntly, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Matteo chuckled, shaking his head.

Meanwhile, Bianca was in the middle of using the photocopy machine in the office, printing out a copy of the blueprint she had just retrieved from the hidden vault.

She carefully folded the copy and tucked it into her loafers, leaving the original secured in the vault.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed down the hallway, and a familiar voice approached.

โ€œCrap!!โ€ she muttered under her breath.

The office door swung open.

Derek and Matteo walked in to find Bianca sitting stylishly in a chair, calm, poised, almost untouchable. Her posture screamed confidence, every move deliberate.

โ€œI take it you must be Matteo Parker?โ€ Bianca stood, extending a hand with a cool smile.

โ€œThe one and only.โ€ Matteo replied, amused.

They all sat down, the air tense with anticipation.

โ€œMy son already told me all about how you became his spy. Now I want to ask you, about your mysterious boss, Romeo.โ€ Matteoโ€™s eyes bore into her.

โ€œWhat do you want to know about him?โ€ Bianca asked, her voice even, measured.

โ€œEverything.โ€ Derek added.

Bianca leaned back slightly, her dark eyes gleaming.

โ€œHeโ€™s a really cold and dark persona guy, very unbothered. Emphasis on unbothered. Fighting close combat with Romeo is like fighting death. Heโ€™s brutal. Heโ€™s barely in any mission, so heโ€™s not the type of person you can predict what he thinks, or what his next move will be.โ€

Matteo nodded thoughtfully. โ€œAnd how are you even here? Isnโ€™t Romeo suspicious?โ€

โ€œPerfect timing,โ€ Bianca said. โ€œRomeo is in California for three days. I have to be back before he suspects anything.โ€

The conversation shifted naturally to strategy. Derek outlined the plan to attack the summit, taking out the leaders all at once.

โ€œWhy not sabotage their meals? I mean, what better way to just kill them all at once.โ€ Derek suggested.

โ€œHmm. I think Iโ€™ll see what I can do,โ€ Bianca said, a sly smirk crossing her lips.

Matteo leaned forward, his tone more probing. โ€œWhy are you helping? Whatโ€™s in it for you?โ€

โ€œDerek promised to make me his woman.โ€ Bianca turned to Derek, her gaze sharp.

โ€œYou can have this hottie if your plans succeed. Iโ€™ll do my part, and you do yours. Succeed, and make me the first Lady of the Italian Mafia.โ€ She said it like a declaration, her confidence radiating danger and allure.

Derek licked his lips, a slow smirk spreading across his face. โ€œI sure will.โ€

Bianca chuckled darkly, her eyes flicking between the two men.

โ€œFools,โ€ She murmured to herself, the word dripping with both warning and amusement.

The muffled sounds of laughter and splashing drifted in from outside, a reminder that everyone else was enjoying the night while Sasha sat on the edge of the bed in the Villa, knees pulled to her chest, staring at nothing.

Rias had left a while ago. The room felt too quiet now. Too tight.

She didnโ€™t want to see Hunter.
Had been avoiding him on purpose.

The door suddenly swung open.

Sasha flinched.

Hunter stood there, chest rising fast, jaw clenched like heโ€™d been holding this in all night. His eyes locked onto her immediately.

โ€œHunter, I want to be alone,โ€ She said, her voice tired.

โ€œLook, Sasha, enough with this craziness already,โ€ He snapped, stepping inside and shutting the door behind him. โ€œCan you fucking stop ignoring me?!โ€

โ€œCanโ€™t I ignore you? Come on, Hunter, just let me be for now. Iโ€™ll talk to you when I want to.โ€ She exhaled sharply and stood up.

She moved to walk past him.

He caught her elbow.

Hard.

โ€œLet me go!โ€ She yelled, instinctively trying to pull away.

โ€œNo!โ€ His grip tightened. โ€œIโ€™m not gonna leave until we settle our issues.โ€

โ€œThe only way weโ€™re going to settle it is if you leave me alone!โ€ She shouted back, her chest rising rapidly. โ€œJust give me space!โ€

โ€œSpace?โ€ He laughed bitterly. โ€œYou want space? Not like I cheated on you or anything. It was Billie who purposely tried to make me get her pregnant, cโ€™mon!!โ€

Her face hardened, eyes burning. โ€œAnd Iโ€™ve heard you. I heard everything. Now let me go already. I want to be alone.โ€

She tried to yank her arm free again.

His fingers dug in deeper.

โ€œSashaโ€”โ€

โ€œHunter, will you let me go or not?โ€ she asked, her voice strained, panic creeping in.

โ€œYouโ€™re being really stubborn right now,โ€ He snapped. โ€œYouโ€™re just finding ways to get rid of me, right? If youโ€™re thinking of breaking up with me, itโ€™s not gonna work!โ€

โ€œOkay, now youโ€™re getting me angry!โ€ She yelled back, chest heaving. โ€œYou know what, if you keep this up, weโ€™re really gonna break up!โ€

That was it.

His fist released her elbow only to clamp around her chinโ€”hard. Too hard. Sasha barely had time to gasp before her feet left the floor.

She was light, always had been, and he lifted her like she weighed nothing, fingers digging into her jaw.

โ€œHunter, youโ€™re hurting me,โ€ She choked out, her legs wobbling helplessly as they dangled.

Pain shot through her face, her skin burning as her vision blurred. Her cheeks flushed deep red, breath coming out in broken gasps.

โ€œI already told you, Sasha,โ€ He roared, eyes wild, unrecognizable. โ€œThe only way weโ€™re going to break up is if you kill me. Now if you donโ€™t have the balls to do that, you better get your fucking act together!โ€

He slammed her against the table.

The sound was violentโ€”wood scraping. Everything on the table crashed to the floor.

So did she.

Sasha hit the ground hard, air knocked clean out of her lungs.

โ€œHunterโ€ฆโ€ she whispered, terror finally breaking through as she looked up.

His shadow loomed over her as he squatted down, blocking the light, swallowing the space. Her body instinctively curled inward, trembling.

โ€œListen to me, Sasha,โ€ He said calmly nowโ€”too calmly. โ€œIโ€ฆ loveโ€ฆ you. Iโ€™m not fucking gonna cheat on you. So you should let go of the incident with Billie, understood?โ€

The sudden softness made her stomach twist. This was worse. The switch. The way his voice smoothed out like nothing had happened.

โ€œIโ€ฆโ€ Her throat closed.

โ€œI said do you understand?!โ€ He shouted.

She flinched violently, tears spilling down her cheeks without permission.

โ€œYesโ€ฆ yesโ€ฆโ€ she nodded rapidly.

His face softened instantly.

There it was again.

He cupped her chin gently, thumb brushing her cheek as if he hadnโ€™t just crushed it minutes ago.

โ€œDonโ€™t cry,โ€ He murmured. โ€œIโ€™m not going to hurt you.โ€

But Sasha knew the truth now.

This manโ€”this man was a monster wearing a loverโ€™s face.

Her whole body shook as she stared at him, fear locking her muscles in place.

โ€œWant to sleep in my room tonight?โ€ He asked casually, like he was offering comfort.

She didnโ€™t want to.

God, she didnโ€™t want to.

But the thought of what would happen if she said no made her chest tighten in panic.

Slowly, numbly, she nodded.

โ€œGood girl.โ€

He lifted her with care this time, almost gentle, and placed her on the bed like she was fragile porcelain. She sat there stiffly, eyes unfocused, heart racing.

Hunter bent down and began arranging the things on the floor back onto the table, humming under his breath, as if nothing had happened.

Sasha hugged herself tightly, nails digging into her arms.

This relationship wasnโ€™t just hurting her anymore.

It was going to kill her.

Romeo walked out of his room, steam still clinging faintly to his skin, black tank top molding to his torso, sweatpants hanging low on his waist.

His hair was damp, strands falling into his eyes as he scrolled through his phone, moving down the hallway with slow, distracted steps, one hand shoved into his pocket.

He stopped when he felt it, that subtle shift in the air, and looked up to find Rias leaning against the doorway at the end of the hall, arms crossed, eyes fixed on him like she had been waiting.

โ€œMove aside, Rias,โ€ He said flatly.

โ€œRelax, Romeo. I just want us to talk. You always act like Iโ€™m some plague or something. Canโ€™t we have a little chat?โ€ She replied, pushing herself off the door.

He locked his phone and slid it into his pocket. โ€œWe have nothing to talk about.โ€

โ€œReally? Come on. I came all the way here just for you and youโ€™re going to ignore me? Donโ€™t do that. I donโ€™t like it,โ€ She said, lips pushing into a pout that didnโ€™t soften him.

โ€œRias, what exactly is your problem?โ€ He asked, voice sharpening. โ€œLetโ€™s hear it. What is it?โ€

She inhaled slowly, like she was bracing herself. โ€œIโ€™m hurt.โ€

โ€œDid I hurt you?โ€ He asked.

โ€œYes, Romeo. You hurt me.โ€

His brow lifted, unimpressed. โ€œHow.โ€

โ€œI understand the marriage didnโ€™t work because we hated each other at first,โ€ She said quickly, words spilling now.

โ€œBut I was willing to make amends. I was willing to try. I was willing to make it work. And you just dumped me, just when I started taking a liking to you.โ€

โ€œWell, I dumped you because I got bored,โ€ He said without hesitation. โ€œAnd as you know, I have a woman. I donโ€™t two-time.โ€

She laughed sharply, almost hysterical.

โ€œThen why did you marry me in the first place? Donโ€™t start with the crap about honoring my grandpaโ€™s wish. You couldโ€™ve said no,โ€ She snapped.

โ€œYouโ€™re right,โ€ He said, taking a slow step closer.

โ€œI did say no. But thenโ€ฆโ€ his voice dropped. โ€œโ€ฆyour stubbornness got me intrigued. I wanted to tame it, Rias. I wanted to break that fire in you.โ€

Her breath hitched. โ€œThen why did you stop? Why didnโ€™t you finish what you started? It shouldโ€™ve been us. Me and you. Not Bianca,โ€ She said, grabbing his hand.

He yanked it away instantly. โ€œDonโ€™t mention her when you talk to me. Put some respect on that name.โ€

She laughed again, bitter this time. โ€œWhy her? Why not me?โ€

โ€œYou really want to know why?โ€ he asked.

โ€œYes!โ€ she shouted.

โ€œBecause your mentality is shallow,โ€ He said coldly. โ€œYou really think you can take whatever you want just because you want it. You even went as far as using my own mother against me.โ€

โ€œI did it because I love you!โ€ She yelled, voice cracking. โ€œI love you, Romeo. I want you. I canโ€™t think of anyone else anymore. Iโ€™ve never wanted someone as much as I want you.โ€

โ€œF+k, you’re so damn annoying..!!โ€ He muttered, raking a hand through his damp hair, anger flashing hard across his face.

Before he could step back, Rias grabbed his tank top by the collar and yanked him down, smashing her lips against his in a desperate, forceful kiss, pouring every ounce of obsession and frustration into it.

Romeo reacted on instinct. He shoved her back hard enough to put distance between them and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand like her touch had burned him.

โ€œWhat the f+k, Rias,โ€ He snapped, eyes dark with disbelief.

She laughed, slow and unhinged, dragging it out before licking her lips. โ€œEven your lips taste perfect.โ€

The sound grated on him. Something ugly twisted in his chest as he stared at her, really stared.

The audacity of her, the lack of shame, the way she looked at him like he was something to conquer instead of a person.

What kind of girl was this? How far did her entitlement go?

โ€œWhat do you want from me?โ€ He demanded, anger cutting sharp. โ€œS+x? Is that it? Because if thatโ€™s all youโ€™re after, I could fuck your brains out right now and be done with it.โ€

She shook her head, eyes gleaming.

โ€œI donโ€™t want just s+x. I already told you that I want you, Romeo. And Iโ€™ll do anything to get you. I always get what I want. You and me are meant to be together, not that woman.โ€

His jaw tightened.

โ€œI get why you need her,โ€ She continued, voice turning cruel.

โ€œYour childhood trauma. You canโ€™t do without s+x, can you? You need someone to keep you on a leash. Youโ€™re a s+x freak, and I donโ€™t mind that. I like it. But that doesnโ€™t mean Iโ€™ll let you be with that whoreโ€”โ€

Everything stopped.

It wasnโ€™t her mocking his past. It wasnโ€™t her calling him a s+x freak. One word echoed in his head, loud and violent, drowning out everything else.

Whore.

His gaze locked onto hers, so cold and dark it sliced straight through her bravado. For the first time, a shiver ran down her spine, but she lifted her chin anyway.

โ€œSay that again,โ€ He said quietly, his voice low and lethal. โ€œI dare you.โ€

She swallowed, then forced a smile. โ€œBianca is nothing but a whore!!โ€

The slap cracked through the hallway.

Rias stumbled, vision blurring, but before she could fall, Romeo caught her by the neck and slammed her back against the wall.

The impact knocked the air from her lungs. Rage burned in his eyes, raw and uncontrollable.

Blood touched the corner of her mouth, metallic and warm.

And she laughed.

She laughed like she was drunk on it, like his fury fed something broken inside her. That only made his grip tighten.

โ€œYes,โ€ She breathed, voice shaking with excitement. โ€œThat. I love that side of you. When youโ€™re like this, it makes me want you even more.โ€

He stared at her like she was a stranger. โ€œHave you completely lost your sanity?โ€

โ€œYes,โ€ she answered without hesitation. โ€œIโ€™m losing it over you. Bianca must be insane to think she can have you all to herself.โ€

She leaned into his grip, eyes blazing.

โ€œSo go on,โ€ She taunted, voice rising.

โ€œHit me..!! Hit me some more, Romeo..!!โ€
