He removed the microphone from the stand and pointed it at the crowd. They sang the pre-chorus.

Crowd: ♪I bite my tongue, I lock the door, but silence screams your name once more!!!

I’m losing wars I never fight

When the world goes black—

♪At Night!

Dorian returned the microphone to himself, time to sing the chorus, but that was when it happened.

A louder roar slammed across the arena, nearly ruining everyone’s ears. Louder than the music.

It shook the grounds and everyone held their ears except Cove.

Even Dorian dropped his microphone and held his ears on stage.

Angela got on stage with his guards, and they covered him protectively.

“What’s going on!!” Trevor shouted beside Cove.

Then…the sound suddenly stopped, and four known figures jumped on stage immediately.

Tasha, Tania, Kehlani and Zendaya.

They definitely did it.

The crowd gasped.

• Glitz Society?

• The f+ck is wrong with these girls?

• Holy sh¡t!

Kehlani picked the microphone from where Dorian dropped it.

“This is what you get for being a helicopter show-off, Dorian Wesley!” She announced, passing the microphone to Zendaya.

“How about you go back to San Francisco?” Zendaya snarled.

Then she passed the microphone to the twins.

Tasha and Tania talked at the same time. “What she said!”

Then Tania threw the microphone into the crowd.

Everyone went down for the fear of getting hit by the microphone, but Trevor wasn’t fast enough.

It hit his head, but before it could fall, someone caught it.

Even as Trevor winced, the person only cared about the microphone.

It’s Stacy.

She lowered the hoodie on her head and zipped down. She took off the hoodie, leaving her in a thin singlet and belt-like skirt. So skimpy.

She’s nearly bare.

“Welcome me to your concert, Dorian Wesley,” She spoke lucidly, rhinestones shining on her well-drawn brows.

Her girls smiled on stage.

Dorian is already rushing down the stage to check on Trevor who got hit by the mic.

“Riri!” Angela followed Dorian.

Even the guards are already running down to contain the situation.

“I came here to congratulate you on your copter!” Stacy talked again, already moving forward.

But then… She got pulled back.

A cold hand held her arm, and she gasped as she turned. Her eyes met with Cove’s own.

“You should apologize to him,” he spoke, pointing at Trevor. “For the mic hit on his head.”

Stacy didn’t even hear him. Her eyes are on the spot he touched on her skin. Her precious skin!

“What the fûck!” She shook his hand off and sent her right hand to his face, dazing him with a slap.

“How dare you touch me with that hand!” She ranged.

Trevor gasped with everyone else in the hall. Everyone held phones, filming the chaos.

By now, Dorian and the guards are nearly with them.

The rest of the girls are already rushing down too.

“Dorian…” Trevor muttered, his eyes still madly wide.

Cove’s cheek burned bright red from the slap. Slowly, he looked up to meet Stacy’s furious face.

Before Stacy could get it, he snatched the microphone from her.

“Cove!!” Trevor shouted.

Cove brought the microphone down to Stacy’s cheek, slapping her back with it—brutally.

Stacy’s eyes widened, then it blurred as blood pooled in her mouth. She fell flat on the floor.

Dorian stopped, his eyes wide as the eyes of everyone else at the catastrophe that just happened.

Did someone just hit the Media Mogul’s daughter publicly?

“Stacy!!” The girls ran faster, jumping through the crowd.

Zendaya and the twins went towards Stacy, but Kehlani head towards Cove, intending to go attack him.

Cove raised the microphone that’s still with him to his lips, then he talked, his voice echoing through the whole arena deeply.

“If you as much as take one more step closer to me, I’ll strip you naked.”

CONTINUATION…

Kehlani paused, not daring to step closer to this strangely weird boy.

Seems everyone else in the hall paused too, and all attention snapped to Cove who’s just lowering the microphone from his lips.

Even Dorian is staring, wondering what kinda flesh he has in his body. He looks too ordinary, but still bold enough to hit a Ultra Elite?

For the fear of getting stripped, Kehlani stopped going closer to him, but the twins took over immediately.

“Damn, someone needs to smash this idiot’s face to the ground!” Tania ran forward, flinging her fist to his face.

Cove just took one step back.

The punch missed his face, flying beside his jaw, but he wasn’t so lucky.

His head rang cos e received a sudden hit at the back of his head.

Swiftly , he turned around to see the other twin—Tasha. She actually hit his head with another microphone, and she’s currently holding the mic tight, her eyes furious like her twin’s.

Kehlani and Zendaya are with Stacy by now. The medics rushed inside the space, and they gently lifted Stacy onto the stretcher.

Cove is already walking to Tasha, slowly and fluidly, but Dorian quickly blocked his way, stopping him from furthering.

“Guy, you look too ordinary to try this shit. Stop.” He muttered warningly.

Tania covered Tasha too, both staying at a safe distance from the new guy.

With just one single push, Cove shoved Dorian out of his way.

“Dorian!” Angela held him, handing him over to guards for protection before she faced Cove.

“You nameless rascal with your secondhand jean! Get him!” She yelled, maintaining scathing eye contact with Cove.

She hates this dude already. Cove looked behind her where the twins are standing, and Tania gave him two straight middle fingers.

Cops rushed inside. Five of them.

Cove stayed silent, and his eyes are calm now, but still holding that hot spark of unfriendliness. Even as he was handcuffed, he stayed mute.

“You can’t take him! He was only fighting for me!” Trevor stepped in.

“I dragged him to this concert with me cos I really like Dorian! You can’t arrest Cove!” He shouted.

He went to Dorian, but the guards didn’t even allow him to get close to the golden boy at all.

“Riri, please don’t let him get arrested!” He shook his head.

Dorian looked at Angela, and Angela shook her head too, meaning NO.

She faced Trevor.

“Young boy, the cops don’t belong to Riri. They belong to Stacy,” she explained.

“What!” Trevor’s eyes widened.

By now, Stacy’s stretcher is already getting wheeled out by the medics.

Her girls followed the stretcher, then Dorian got led out by Angela and the rest of the team plus guards.

Cove is still there, held down by the cops. His arms were folded behind him before he was cuffed, so he looks like a bloody criminal right now with his chest pushed forward.

It got worse when reporters entered, taking shots of him and worsening the situation.

The students in the arena did more than reporters. Their cameras flashed his handsome face aggressively.

• Who the hell… is he?

• Damn! He’s fine!!

• Heard he’s a RIDE student

• Student? He looks too ordinary!

• A scholarship student. He’s the second Special Transfer student. Computer Science.

• No no no! A scholarship student in RIDE?? Impossible!

He’s already getting taken away by now, and Trevor is running after him and the cops, begging hopelessly.

[No Sleep Garage, 9:30]

Matteo is alone in the garage, eating noodles from a small plate and at the same time making a call.

The shop is still open. In fact, it’s more active at nights like this.

Reason for the No Sleep name.

Matteo closed the bonnet of the car he’s checking and grinned.

“Your car is ready for pickup. Didn’t I tell you?” He said on phone.

“My best boy worked on it this evening. If Cove touches your car, be sure it won’t have problems again for life. But you’re paying double though,” he grinned again before sitting, ending the call.

He picked his plate to continue eating, but that was when Trevor rushed inside, crying like crazy.

Matteo spranged up, dropping his noodles plate on the ground.

“Trevor?”

“Wizard…he got arrested at the concert. So… someone threw a microphone at my face cos those bully Glitz Society Girls came to ruin the concert. Wizard told Stacy Montana to apologize, but she slapped him!” Trevor narrated.

“Let me guess, Cove did something criminal?” Matteo gasped.

“Yes, and she was wheeled out on a stretcher!” Trevor hiccupped.

“What! He dared touch that girl? To stretcher level? Geez! Cove is too headstrong and I can’t even….”

“He got arrested! We should do something!” Trevor shouted.

Matteo ran out instantly, and Trevor followed him up.

They raced down the street till they arrived at the next line of shops. There’s a equipments shop, a electronics repair shop, and several others beside each other.

They’re all closed for the night, but Matteo slammed their doors.

“Y’all, Wizard got arrested! Open your damn doors and let’s go get his arse out! Open up!!”

As he slammed and shouted, the shop owners came out.

Rugged, tough street guys.

“Wizard got what?”

[X Gym, 10pm]

Trinidad just finished her night gymnastics session, all sweaty.

It’s an Elite gym, so there’s a indoor bathroom to clean up before going home, but she’s not interested tonight

She wiped her sweat, threw on her waterproof jacket and hung her headphones around her neck, getting her bag and phone.

She walked out of the gym into the busy night.

Despite the fact that RIDE University is attended by rich kids worldwide, the school has no inbuilt school hostel, so students occupy the mansions in the street of Bel-Air.

They all live off-campus, extending beyond Bel-Air to Malibu to WeHo and Hollywood hills.

But this Bel-Air is worse cos it’s the main campus environment.

Nights like this are insanely bright and always full of students taking strolls, wasting their nights, partying, sinning, and riding rough.

No one asks them questions. No one would dare get tangled in the web of the rich families, so these students get away with any fuckin shit they spill.

The bright street lights made Trinidad grumble as she mounted her bike, checking her phone.

She’s still reading about the new Computer Science student.

Cove Fabio.

Trinidad is the most brilliant Computer Science student, but that was before this insane guy arrived.

5:00 GPA? Just how brilliant is he?

Worse, he’s a scholarship student. The first scholarship student in RIDE.

“F+k,” Trinidad muttered, finally pocketing her phone.

She kicked her bike to life and did a five minutes drive to a Studio Apartment.

Behind the studio apartment, there’s a small Atelier.

She carried her nonchalant self into the Atelier, and as expected, Roxy and Elmira are inside.

Her girls.

Roxy is a canvas painter—owner of this Atelier. She paints for fun whenever she’s not in campus.

Right now, she’s all covered in paint stains. A cigar stick is stuck between her lips as she painted a tiger.

She’s focused, but Elmira on the other hand is in front of a mirror, checking her breàsts out.

Her upper body is n+ked.

“You finally decided to come?” She looked back with a scoff, applying a dab of red lipstick on her lips.

“You both decided to ditch campus today?” Trinidad threw her weight on a sofa beside Elmira.

“Why the hell would we step campus on the first day of the semester? To listen to the boring orientation? Wear stupid Uniforms on the first day like we’re highschool peeps? I’m not stepping campus till tomorrow” Roxy remarked, pulling her focus from her canvas. She faced the girls.

“I went with Scott, we used Stacy’s airfield,” Trinidad smiled.

“Of course you went with your Captain Scott. If he wasn’t gay, I’d have said you both are hooked, but wait…. Stacy’s airfield? How are you still alive?” Elmira snickered, wearing her blouse.

“Don’t talk like Stacy is all that. She relies on her guards and cops for protection. She and Kehlani are the weakest of that bunch. The only fairly strong ones are the twins. They’re as cringe as Disney bullies.” Trinidad sighed, pouring herself alcohol from the bottle on the table.

“You didn’t mention the Buffalo Zendaya,” Roxy laughed, flinging her painting brush in the air.

She’s holding her cigar between her fingers now, the smokes curling.

“Why would that fat slût matter?” Trinidad replied, and they all laughed mockingly.

Elmira suddenly gasped, standing with her face buried in her phone.

“Update in my Major group! Dorian’s concert got ruined by Glitz Society! Cove was at the concert! He hit Stacy!” She announced.

“You’re kidding! Someone actually hit that whore?” Roxy threw off her cigar

Together with Trinidad, she checked Elmira’s phone.

The news was posted anonymously. Stacy’s name wasn’t even mentioned, but the poster used SM for her and used CV for Cove… their initials.

“It really happened, and TV stations aren’t rolling with the news? Even this one didn’t mention their names,” Roxy raised suspicious brows.

“Did you forget her father is the powerful Media Mogul? He controls the media so the news of his daughter’s humiliation can’t come out,” Trinidad said.

“Well….. we already know who’s SM and CF, so tommorow, we make it fill the campus, but damn…I love the Cove guy already. Is it weird that I get wet hearing his name? I can’t wait to resume tomorrow! Trinidad you’re in Computer Science with him you’re so lucky!” Elmira m0@ned.

Elmira and Roxy are English students.

“I don’t give a damn about his sassy boldness. I’m only concerned about how he’s now ahead me as the most brilliant coding genius.” Trinidad sat back, drinking her alcohol.

“You have Tania as your competitor in football, and now Cove is here to take your place in Computer Science too? Poor you.” Elmira said.

Trinidad stuck her tongue out as a form of cursing, and Elmira laughed, pouring herself alcohol too.

They clinked glasses.

“Why is there no conversation about Dorian?” Trinidad asked.

“Who said that? Go to every damn Major group chat. He’s all they’re talking about. We’re just not talking about him here, and I hope it remains that way,” Elmira snapped.

“You seem to have a personal beef with him,” Trinidad commented.

Elmira didn’t reply. She’s currently looking at Roxy who has been quiet.

Trinidad looked at Roxy too.

“What’s up?” They chorused.

Roxy sat in front of them, her face all colored from her canvas paint.

“My studio apartment in front of this Atelier, I told you both I rented it out last year, right?” She said.

“Yeah?” Trinidad frowned.

“That reminds me, we haven’t seen the occupant before. Is he some poor traveller?” Elmira said.

“You’d be shocked…” Roxy smirked.

Elmira and Trinidad stood at the same time, towering above Roxy.

“It’s not Cove, is he?” They chorused.

Roxy grinned, meaning yes.

Elmira screamed excitedly.

[Platinum Hospital]

A blue custom-made car hit the hospital private park at some minutes to 12am.

The engines didn’t go down before Albert Montana jumped out.

Stacy’s father.

A tall, good-looking man in his fifties.

Just like his daughter, his figure commands respect, and the guards who hopped down from the cars behind him followed him into the hospital as he made his entry.

Nurses moved out of the way, but some desperate ones looked up, making eye contacts and trying the art of seduction.

After all, Stacy is his only daughter. He refused to remarry since his wife died, so he could use a new wife.

Albert never looked at anyone. He focused on his destination, even as doctors rushed out to greet him.

The richest man in this city.

He entered Stacy’s private ward where she’s laying in bed with her girls surrounding her.

“Mr. Montana! Thank gawd you’re here! She has been demanding for your presence,” Zendaya stood.

She stepped aside with the girls, and Albert sat beside her daughter in bed.

Stacy’s eyes are open, but her left cheek is slightly swollen.

Seeing that, Albert’s eyes widened.

“So now I have to get hurt before you come see me?” She spoke clearly, holding his hand. “You’ve been on your trips since last week and wouldn’t come see me. Now I got hurt and you flew over from Malibu?”

“Stacy —”

“Your daughter got bullied by a Garage boy. Why the hell would a Garage boy even be in my Campus?” She muttered, looking at him with puppy pained eyes.

“Sweetheart,” Albert stated, stroking her hair. “The school chancellor didn’t inform me before taking in that riffraff, but trust me to put things in place. He’s in the police net? I’ll make him apologize on his knees.”

“That’s exactly what I want. Him in front of me, on his knees.” Stacy replied sharply.

Tania and Tasha chuckled.

“Yeah, Mr. Montana. That’s exactly what’s gonna work,” Kehlani supported.

“Let him eat sand!” Zendaya added.

“I should thank you girls for always being with Stacy” Albert smiled at them brightly.

Kehlani nearly said something else, but she received a text, and she gasped, reading it.

It’s from her boyfriend.

Max: Happy One year anniversary to us, Freckles. Come to the Elite2 Hotel?

He sent it at exactly 12am.

“F+k! My Max!” Kehlani gushed, rushing out of the ward.

Zendaya followed her immediately.

Stacy got down from the bed, not wanting to miss the show.

“Your cheek is swollen, sweetheart! You can’t leave!” Albert held her.

“I’ll be fine dad! I need to go witness Kehlani’s anniversary with the girls! Trust your sweetheart and just go handle that Garage Boy for me!” She blew him a kiss.

“Let’s go!” The twins pulled her, rushing out of the ward to join Kehlani and Zendaya outside.

They packed themselves inside Kehlani’s car, and it was Tania who drove this time.

The girls all have exotic car collections in different shades, but they’re obsessed with driving together if their location is one place.

“Max is such a romanticist I can’t!” Zendaya gushed.

“I was already planning to get mad at him if he forgot, but he texted at 12? I love him so much!” Kehlani shouted.

“What. Is. That!” Stacy and Tasha said at the same time.

They sighted it first—the billboard.

There’s a note for Kehlani on the billboard! It’s from Max.

Kehlani quickly winded every window down for better view.

It’s really there…on the billboard.

• Hey, Lani. I just wanna tell you that you’re the best thing that ever happened to me, and I love you so much it hurts. Happy One Year Anniversary to us, Freckles.

“Ok… Hot!” Tania grinned.

“Awww!!!” Zendaya and Tasha dramatically squealed.

“I’m so happy for you, Lani! Girl, Max is so into you!” Stacy praised.

“I’m driven to tears!” Kehlani sniffled.

“You deserve every good thing, baby,” Stacy moaned, and Kehlani laughed.

The car pulled up at the Elite2 hotel park, and Kehlani was the first to get out. She jumped inside the hotel.

The girls had to run after her to catch up, and everyone of them turned on their phone cameras, ready to film as the elevator reached the 24th floor.

All of that floor is empty cos Max probably rented it out.

The room door is ajar, and Kehlani pushed it open, peeping inside first.

Balloons, glitters, confetti, sparkling fire, cake, roses, I LOVE YOU notes.

They’re everywhere, and in bed, there are gifts—boxed and wrapped ones. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Versace…

Name the brand.

Three big teddy bears, mickey mouse fluffies, all in Kehlani’s signature colour burgundy.

“Aww! This is so cute! This is too damn cute!” Stacy got in with the friends, and Kehlani covered her mouth with her palm.

“Happy anniversary, Kehlani and Max!!” Tania and Tasha chorused.

“Go get your man, baby!” Zendaya screamed.

Max stood behind the bed, smiling wide. A tall, brown-eyed good-looking guy.

Kehlani flew into his arms, and they both fell in bed together, crushing the gift boxes slightly with their weight.

“I love you, Max. I’ve built my world around you so solidly. I’d just die if you jilt me. I love you…” She whispered, every breath slow.

“I love you, Freckles. You know my life revolves around yours. Can’t ever not love you.” Max smiled wider.

“Gosh, my sweet boy…” Kehlani pressed her lips on his.

He slid an hand at the back of her head, deepening the connection.

“I’m so jealous!” Zendaya chuckled, making sure she’s capturing the kiss from a good angle.

“Lani you owe us a party!” Tania shouted.

“I’m telling you! A anniversary party, or we have her head!” Tasha added.

“So what’s it gon be?” Stacy sat on a crib chair, mounting her legs.

“Yup, girls. There’s gonna be an anniversary party for I and Lani at the Plaza at night. All students of RIDE are invited…” Max replied after pulling away from Kehlani’s lips.

“That’s it!!! Stamped!!!” The twins screamed and stuck hands.

“So you’re telling me this semester is gonna start with a party? I knew we were in for a badass semester!” Zendaya sounded.

“If there’s gonna be a dress code, paste it on the group ASAP. I don’t go wrong with my outfits.” Stacy said.

“Ok, fashion queen.” Max laughed.

By now, Kehlani is checking out her gifts, opening the boxes one my one.

Expensive underwear, Hermes birkin, Van Cleef jewelries, exclusive makeup tools, gold bars, extension curls, designer wears, heels…

They’re much.

“What was that with the Cove guy?” Max suddenly asked. “I saw the post on the Major Group. SM and CF. You’re Stacy Montana so you’re definitely SM. Give me the gist?”

“Hunny, the Garage boy crossed his boundaries,” Kehlani said, spraying herself with one of the perfume gifts.

“We’re getting a public apology tommorow,” Tania said, spraying herself excessively with two perfume bottles at once.

“Public?” Max sat.

“Right, better prepare to feed your eyes,” Tasha nodded.

“Real remorseful shit. Who wouldn’t apologize after getting locked behind bars for hours?” Stacy said stylishly.

Her words have a way of coming out with a blended Latina accent.

Zendaya was silent.

She focused on posting the videos she recorded, and at the same time, she’s searching for Cove Fabio on IG.

Does he not have an account?

[Police Station]

When Matteo arrived with Trevor and the street boys, Cove has already been locked up in a holding cell beside their office.

As they tried to force their way inside, the cops pushed them back, cocking their guns.

“We’re respectful civilians, trust me, but you have our Garage genius. Agreed, he’s got serious anger issues, but he doesn’t come for people unless they come for him first!” Matteo said.

“One of the Glitz Girls threw mic at my head, and Wizard was telling Stacy to apologize, then the catastrophe happened!” Trevor said.

“Albert Montana has ordered that there’d be no release till he arrives here.” A cop said.

“What!” Matteo gasped.

“Yeah, even Dorian’s management said Cove must be punished before his release. If you don’t wanna aggravate things, just leave.” A cop explained shortly.

“We’re not leaving without Cove!” The street guys insisted, pushing the cops off the door.

They forced their way inside and easily spotted Cove who’s standing inside the holding cell.

“Cove!” Trevor went for him.

“Idiotic,” Cove muttered. “Now that you’re here, you’re gonna kill the cops to get the keys to open this cell?”

“But we had to do something!” Trevor replied with a sniffle.

“Get lost! And take Matteo and the boys with you!” Cove snapped crankily.

Trevor flinched.

A loud sonic snap of gunshot stopped the street guys who’re searching for the cell key. They turned around.

A cop actually shot the ceiling.

Matteo jumped down from the table he’s standing on.

“Get them all arrested! Throw them into the cells!” Another cop yelled.

And just when they’re about to get jailed, Albert Montana came in.

Silence fell in the station, cos the first person he came to was Matteo.

He slapped Matteo across the face, and Cove’s palms balled inside the cell he stood in.

The street guys nearly attacked Albert, but the cops aimed for them with their shotguns.

“Stop, y’all. Stop!” Trevor shouted.

The guys paused, all panting.

“My findings told me you’re the boss of this riffraff orphan inside the cell, and you couldn’t teach him to not to touch what he shouldn’t have touched? My damn daughter?” Albert grabbed Matteo by the collar.

Matteo’s face stayed on the floor for a minute, keeping his anger in check, then he looked up with a smile.

“It’s my fault for not cautioning him well enough. Forgive me.”

Albert’s eyes left him and went to Cove inside the cell.

Cove still stayed mute.

“He’s gonna apologize to my daughter in campus tomorrow, and after that apology, trust me I’ll make him get rusticated. He can’t stay in that school, not when Stacy is in.” Albert said as easily as he breathes.

“No! You can’t do that! Cove’s scholarship Sponsor is legal! He got in fairly with his brains!” Trevor spoke up.

“Yeah we’ll decide that after the board meeting. But for now, he’s to apologize to my daughter publicly tommorow.” Albert said.

“About the apology thingy, sir. Dorian’s team are demanding apology too, but Dorian made it clear he doesn’t need apology personally, he only said your daughter and her gang should to apologize to Trevor for throwing the microphone at his head.” a cop said.

“And why would my daughter apologize after she got hit in the mouth with a microphone which I’m sure was contaminated cos the hand of this Garage boy touched it! Do you know how much I spent in the hospital for disinfecting?” Albert glared at the cop.

“Forget I said that, sir. I’m sorry.” The cop quickly apologized.

“Tommorow, this riffraff apologizes to Stacy, and that’s final. Let him go!” Albert slammed and left the station.

Cove was released, and as he stepped out of the station with the others, he didn’t wait for them.

His walk was faster.

“Aren’t you gonna say a bit of thank you? Wizard!” Matteo shouted.

Cove turned, slowly.

“I never asked you to come. It’s stupid that you thought coming here to fight was the way out. Try not to think like that always,” he said bluntly.

“Look who’s talking, your incurable anger issue got you in this shit in the first place!” One of the street guys retorted sharply.

“I can’t with his bluntness. He doesn’t know how to talk, but I can’t even hate him,” another one muttered.

“Sorry…that we came to try our best for you,” Matteo nodded at Cove.

Cove raised his eyeballs.

“Are you…. really gonna apologize in campus tomorrow?” Trevor asked.

“It’s just apology, nothing to be stiff about,” Cove replied, detached.

Then he left them.

“Cove? Apologize?” Matteo said.

“I don’t believe him,” Trevor muttered.

[Dorian’s Mansion, 1pm]

Dorian found it hard to sleep, so he went to his inbuilt studio to do voice simulations for an hour.

He emerged by 1 and sat in front of the studio, feeling dehydrated.

He almost went for wine, but Angela immediately brought him wine on a tray. Two glasses, so they picked one each and clinked.

“It’s scary how you know even what I crave, Angela.” He said, sipping.

“Been your manager since you were 15, Riri. It’d be strange if I don’t. In this case, scary is better than strange,” Angela replied.

Dorian nodded, smiling a bit.

“I’m sorry your first day in LA got so chaotic. First was the reporters at the campus field, I don’t even know how your arrival news leaked out to them, but then your concert got ruined. I feel insufficient.” Angela said.

“Bull, you’re like my shadow, Angela. Self-blame is forbidden here,” he replied with a short frown.

“Albert said his daughter would not apologize. He might have kept the news from the public, but definitely not from your fans. Watch how they tear him and his daughter tomorrow,” Angela said.

“Stacy Montana, quiet an handful. I have a thing for spoilt brats, let’s see how it goes after I resume properly tomorrow,” Dorian mused, sighing.

“You should avoid her. Her father is more powerful than you think, Riri.” Angela touched his shoulder softly.

Dorian looked at her with a beautiful smile. “After she ruined my first concert in LA? I’m afraid no. And the Cove guy is interesting too. If only I could make friends with him.”

“Friends with a mechanic? Your mum would crash out if she heard that. Just stop.” Angela said.

“Yeah but mum isn’t here, is she? So I can try out new shit. Also, he’s not just a mechanic, he’s gonna be attending RIDE too.” Dorian added.

“But—”

“Trevor—the guy who got hit with the microphone is like a brother to Cove. Arrange a apology meeting with him. I could visit their repair garage and meet Cove too,” Dorian stood.

“No, Rian!” Angela shot up.

“Do it,” Dorian smiled and patted her shoulder before leaving.

Angela sighed. “Darn, he can be stubborn too.”

[Young Mansion]

It’s 2am on the dot, but Scott is just getting out of his home gym.

His jersey is soaked with sweat at the neckline, and his breathings are irregular as he made his way back to his room, but he couldn’t make a smooth journey.

His father—Silas, appeared from the cellar in front of him, and Scott’s countenance changed immediately.

He walked past him, but Silas wasn’t ready to let go.

“Scott, stop right there,” he said.

Scott kept moving.

“Scott Young, stop right there!!” Silas yelled angrily.

Scott stopped, turning back.

“What now? You banned me from using your airfield in the morning, are you gonna ban me from sleeping in my room too?” He glared.

“We’re the only two people in this house. If we can’t talk amicably, then it’s stupid! I told you I was gonna bring in my new wife this week, and you nearly punched me in the face! You nearly punched me, Scott! You should be glad I only banned you from using the airfield and not the helicopter too!” Silas shouted.

“And the point of this conversation is?” Scott scoffed.

“No matter the height of tantrums you throw, I’m gonna bring her in with her son, and you’re gonna respect her totally!” Silas snarled.

“Oh she has a son?” Scott laughed. “Your new wife has a son? Congratulations! You know since mum died, I’ve wished every single day that you’d follow her!”

“You’re crazy!” Silas slapped him.

“It takes crazy to know crazy, dad!” Scott laughed crazily, lip bleeding.

“How did you turn out this way, Scott? Is it your friends? Your good-for-nothing friends in the campus? Remo the gigolo, Frank the drug dealer, and Max who’s busy celebrating anniversaries on billboards!” Silas ranted.

“Do not drag my f+kin friends into this! Just warn your wife and her son to stay off my way in this mansion when they arrive, period!” Scott shouted at his father’s face and entered his room, slamming the door.

He could hear his father’s footsteps as they faded away.

He sat on his bed and eventually lay down, shutting his eyes.

When he opened them two minutes later, he pulled out his phone, and the first notification he saw on the campus gist is…

• Students are to wear the Campus uniform throughout this week.

He sat up.

“Are the authorities deranged? It was supposed to be just yesterday but now it’s throughout the week?”

“Nah…this is as$!”

[RIDE University, 8AM]

Lectures starts properly today, so those tangled with morning classes got to school early, but apart from them, students are eager to see the public apology cos it’s everywhere.

Tabloids, bulletin, school news.

Everyone knows Cove Fabio—the scholarship student is apologizing to Stacy Montana—the school queen.

Stacy and her girls are already waiting at the school biggest entrance. They came here directly from the airfield.

Trinidad and her girls are just climbing out of their cars at the park, and Trinidad is chuckling with mock.

She came in a bike, as usual.

“To think that you both ditched school yesterday cos of the uniform mandate, but it has been extended to a week. Poor you both.”

“Shut up, Trini.” Roxy rolled eyes.

“I just wanna fall, roll and die. I mean…i wore uniforms throughout highschool and now in college I have to wear it for every first week of the semesters too? So f×kin unfunny!” Elmira grunted out.

But then they noticed the frozen atmosphere, and they studied the environment to see what’s going on.

“Oh…the puxxies are around….” Elmira drawled, sighting Stacy and her girls not far from them.

They look too serious.

Several other students are close too, like they’re waiting for something.

“Wait…the news is real? Cove is gonna apologize? I wear if he does I’ll stop crushing on him” Elmira said.

“My tenant is tough, so I doubt it,” Roxy muttered, lighting cigar.

“Doesn’t matter what you both think. You don’t live in his mind.” Trinidad muttered, unsettled.

Dorian’s car drove into the park, and thankfully, no one noticed it’s him.

He decided against helicopter today cos he doesn’t wanna get suffocated again like yesterday.

Angela didn’t come with him.

He came with four well-built guards, and as the car stopped, he saw Stacy between her girls at the other side.

He nearly got down to go meet them, but a Uber also drove into the tall gate suddenly.

First time such abomination is entering the gate, and it’s obvious who’s gonna climb down.

Cove came out, carrying nothing.

No books. No pen.

The only student property on him is the campus uniform.

Gasps. Wide Mouths.

Those who didn’t get the chance to see him in person yesterday finally saw him, and nearly all the girls felt a clench in their stomach instantly.

• That’s him?

• Hell, he’s…

• Hot?

• No, hot is a weak word for him.

• Never seen a s+×ier guy in uniform. He’s effortlessly attractive.

Elmira couldn’t blink.

Even Zendaya is stunned. This is her second time seeing him, but she’s still affected electrically.

He’s ridiculously beautiful, especially that pointed nose.

“Imagine if I post on the campus blog that he lives in my Studio apartment?” Roxy said trickily.

“You’d make them go mad over there, girl.” Trinidad responded.

Dorian smiled inside his car, resting his knuckles on his chin.

“He’s got aura without even trying,” he chuckled.

Cove threw a short gaze around, and his eyes found the Glitz Society where they stood like gods.

He began walking coldly to them, and Stacy removed herself from their middle, stepping forward.

Her shoulders stayed high, her chin raised too, and her lashes danced over her eyes.

“I’m sure you were told to do it on your knees,” she said cockily.

Loud enough for everyone to ear.

“Oh…an apology?” Dorian muttered, witnessing everything from his car.

“Kneel, Garage boy!” Kehlani shouted at the back.

“Do you need help? We could kick you to your knees!” Tania added.

“I even want him to crawl,” Tasha folded her arms.

Zendaya was quiet.

Stacy tilted her head, her glitter makeup catching the faint glow of the morning sun.

“I’m sorry,” Cove said, still standing.

The frozen air shattered.

“No. He did not just say that!” Elmira gasped disappointedly.

“Sorry for?” Stacy went closer, looking up at him.

“For not breaking your jaw totally with that microphone.” Cove replied, flat with his straight face.

Stacy gasped, and Dorian bursted into laughter inside his car.

TBC.
