*~~TWO WEEKS LATER~~*
[Street 130, Cooper Family House]The house and the hospital shares the same characteristics right now. The smell of medicine, injections, disinfectants and sickness.
Doctors and nurses exchanging duties, going in and out.
Erica and Leroy weren’t allowed to be at the hospital, so the doctors have to come for home treatment always.
Not like the clan took care of the bills, but thanks to the card Bacardi gave to Robert, they could afford the treatments and beyond it.
It’s a limitless card.
And the siblings are allowed to stay here for as long as they want since they all have the visitation card, but they rush back to the clan estate for emergencies and missions.
This morning is like the other mornings since two weeks ago—gloomy, slow.
The doctors just finished giving the morning treatment to the couple, and they headed out after the vitals of the couple balanced a bit.
They’re in different beds in the same room, still sick but much better than two weeks ago.
Their toes and fingers have healing patches, though there’s no assurance that it’d ever heal properly even if they grow another set of nails.
They’ve been ruined by Lissa, and the doctor even commented that Leroy’s hearing has been tampered with.
Hot oil was poured inside, so even if he gets well, he’d probably turn deaf.
As Ivanna sat on a chair between the two beds, she couldn’t stop her tears. Her legs are up on the chair, and her arms are wrapped on the legs. Her chin is on top of her knees.
Maybe she shouldn’t have been rash.
She shouldn’t have been a brave bîtch.
She should have declined the parcel when it was sent last year.
Through Nino, she found out it was Lissa who sent that parcel to call them into the clan so they’d be killed and their parents would also be finished in the hospital.
In the end, every predicament they’ve faced in this family comes from the Armando family.
Lissa and her goddamn parents.
Remembering how she threw heels at her head two weeks ago made her touch that head, and she sniffled.
She was reminded of the person Lissa went to Paris with for honeymoon, and she gulped, sniffling again.
She shifted her barefoot on that chair, giving slow glances to the two in bed.
Even as they’re still unconscious, The Outfit Jewelry is on their ankles.
The restriction electric chain… It’s called The Outfit Jewelry in the clan, so when they wake up, they can only move around the house.
New Year whiled past them like a breeze last week, and she wasn’t even aware it was New Year’s day if not for the fireworks that cracked in the sky of this street at night.
Even as it cracked that night, she only heard sounds, she couldn’t go out to watch since the one she watched on Christmas Eve was with a particular someone who’s now married.
She shifted on that chair again.
“Hey! Iva! You’re still here?” Robert entered the room.
“Where else would I be?” She muttered, powerless.
“You’ve been sitting there since
2am, and this is 8am… Six damn hours! Are you trying to get your ass flat?” Robert pulled her up.
She returned to the sit immediately.
“What’s up?” Nino came in, looking as impatient as Robert.
“Told you she’d still be sitting here like a figurine! Look at her! She hasn’t had her bath for two days! She’s either crying, sniffling, humming or spacing out!” Robert shouted.
“Stop shouting at my head,” Ivanna muttered, raising her legs again.
“You don’t wanna do this, Ivanna. You can’t annoy the Padrino. You can’t!” Nino said with concern.
“Annoy him? How?” Ivanna frowned.
“Did you forget? There’s a summit today at the estate, and every member of the mob has to be there!” Robert shouted.
Ivanna spranged up.
“It’s today?”
Nino and Robert kept quiet, and Ivanna quickly wiped the tears on her face, shoved her feet into her slippers and left the room.
As she’s going out, Hilda came in with a pot of red roses which she placed by the window.
“I heard it speeds up recovery, too.” She said sweetly, smiling at the two.
“Thank you, Hilda. Mum will be so grateful to you when she wakes, and dad will want to go on his knees. You’re too much.” Robert said.
Hilda looked at the bedridden couple.
“I hope Erica regains her beauty, and I hope Leroy regains his hearing. I won’t stop praying.” She muttered.
“Ginny and Tierney didn’t come with you?” Nino asked.
“No. Ginny was too scared to leave the clan cos of the upcoming summit, so she’ll come after the summit” Hilda replied.
“Where’s my baby girl?”
“Ivanna? She’s cleaning up. Wait for like twenty minutes, she takes long.” Robert replied.
They waited together, and just as predicted, she came out after twenty minutes, dressed casually.
No crop top. No leather pants, just jean trousers and a big shirt.
“You look pale, and you lost a little flesh.” Hilda noticed.
“My parents are barely breathing, it’s normal I stay like this till they’d be fine at least.” Ivanna nodded.
Hilda stroked her hair, and she gave her a tight smile.
She eventually left with Nino and Robert while Hilda stayed back with the unconscious couple.
—
[Crimson Cave, Hayden’s Room]Hayden just returned from the gym, all sweaty and slimy, but he paused by the door when he saw Moo sitting on his bed, legs mounted.
“I told you! Stop intruding my space without permission! This is my room!” He went closer.
She stood before he could knock her away from the bed.
“Hayden, your door is lockless. You’re the lowest member of the top three and no matter how many feats you achieve, you have to spend at least a year in here before earning a lock. You have no space of your own yet!” She spat, raising the side of her face tauntingly.
He walked past her, going for the second attached door where his bathroom is.
“Why is Leo still alive?” Moo asked the question she came to ask.
Hayden stopped.
“Leonardo Esposito is still alive and well in Paris. He’s even partying and going on dates with Lissa according to the reports that just came in with pictures as evidence. He’s still healthy, but you said you poisoned him during the fight in Britain.”
Hayden stayed there, silent and unturned.
Moo went closer, staying right behind him, her voice slapping his back.
“You came back here to report to Leader that you poisoned him, but you didn’t actually poison him, did you?” She said.
Hayden turned back, their eyes meeting.
“You’re always so interested in my business, and it’s tiring.” He muttered.
“I’m only poking cos I brought you here! I’m your second boss! How dare you do that? Do you know the intensity of what you did? Do you know what Leader is gonna do to you next? Fuckin your arse was being nice, you’d be destroyed this time around!” Moo shouted.
Hayden said nothing.
“Why would you even fail to poison him when you had the chance? He’s the same person who took your girl from you!” She shouted.
Hayden just left her and entered the bathroom, shutting the door.
“Hayden!” Her voice followed him inside, but he closed it out and bared himself, stepping under the shower.
His eyes are closed as he stayed there, allowing the water to cool him.
He really didn’t poison Leonardo.
He couldn’t.
Yes. He hates him to the core, hates him the most in this world, but if he’s really as heartless as they say, then he’d have killed Ivanna and her siblings the day they entered the House Of Esposito.
He’s the same person who killed his most trusted guard Stanley last year, so him keeping Ivanna and her siblings alive after their sin of breaking unto the clan is worth keeping him alive for.
No matter what consequence he’d face from Monika.
He left the bathroom after a few minutes shower, and when he got back to the bedroom, he met pictures scattered on the floor.
Moo did it.
They are pictures of Leonardo and Lissa in Paris.
They visited Disneyland for adventures.
There’s a picture where they’re both kissing on the dark fairy ride.
A picture where Lissa is going after the dream butterflies and Leonardo is holding her ass behind.
In another picture, they’re both smooching in a corner, and Leonardo’s hand is under her gown, obviously f1ngering.
Hayden didn’t bother looking at the next picture. He poured the pictures back to the ground, sighing.
Maybe he should have poisoned Leonardo after all.
If there was really something going on between him and Ivanna, then how would Ivanna feel seeing these?
He punched the wall, angrily marching the pictures on the ground.
On the last pictures… there are words written at the back.
He picked it back up and recognized it as Moo’s handwriting immediately.
THE COOPER COUPLE GOT RELEASED AND ARE CURRENTLY ON HOUSE ARREST IN THEIR HOME AT STREET 130. THE HOUSE IS SURROUNDED BY THE OUTFIT GUARDS, SO IF YOU’RE GONNA GO, BE CAREFUL. YOU MIGHT WANNA GO SEE THE OUTSIDE WORLD FOR THE LAST TIME COS FOR THE LIE YOU TOLD LEADER, YOUR VISITATION CARD MIGHT BE SEIZED, AND YOU’D BE TORTURED.
Hayden’s eyes dilated, and he didn’t wait for a second thought after reading that note.
He threw on the first shirt and pants he got his hands on, plus a face cap, then he bursted out of the room, rushing down the stairwell.
He was out of the cave in five more minutes.
—
[Monika’s Hall]The pictures are scattered on the table here too.
Pictures of Lissa and Leonardo, being all romantic and living well and healthy in Paris.
With hate, disgust, irritation and resentment, Monika stared at the pictures, her fist tightly folded.
“Hayden!” She started.
No reply.
“Hayden!!!” She screamed, standing tall to her feet.
It was Moo who rushed inside instead.
“Leader!”
“Where is Hayden!” Monika demanded loudly, eyes scathing.
Moo went on a knee before talking…
“He went to the Cooper family house, said he wanted to go check on the family.”
Monika’s eyes widened a bit, then she hurried down the stairwell. Getting to Moo, she dragged her up by the front of her purple dress.
“He didn’t know about their release! I made sure to keep it secret and Bradshaw had no reason to tell him so it’s definitely you!”
Moo couldn’t talk, she just stayed there at her mercy, trembling.
“You did? You told him without my permission? You did!!!” Monika shouted at her face, slapping her thrice, loud and brutal.
Moo was on the ground after the third slap, and she bled from the corner of her lips.
“What has gotten into you? Is it not enough? The pain you get from disappointing me. Or have you grown immunity to pain that it now means nothing to you?” Monika ranted.
Moo struggled back to her knees again, her cheek burning.
“I’ll take any punishment you wish to give,” she said.
And that just made Monika’s anger swell till she bursted and slapped Moo three times again.
Moo fell, sideways.
“Bradshaw!!” Monika yelled, and Bradshaw came inside, walking with a gap between his legs.
After he got bursted two weeks ago, he hasn’t been healing, and that just made him wonder how Hayden was able to heal so quick during his own time. Maybe because he’s stronger?
“Go get the flask containing the bedbug in the distillery, and take it out to the streets. I can’t just rely on it without checking for confirmation. Make anyone a test subject. Anyone at all! Fail this again, and I’ll kill you myself!” Monika ordered.
“Consider it done…” Bradshaw stood and rushed out of the hall.
“As for you….” Monika faced Moo.
“Keep kneeling there. Wait till your lackey comes back, then I can decide where to put you both.”
Moo’s face twisted.
—
[House Of Esposito]The summit got shifted to 9 since the Padrino is taking too long to appear, so everyone just hung around in anticipation.
It’s supposed to be for just the leaders and top members, but Marko said it must include the lower mobsters too since there’s an announcement.
Ivanna and her siblings sat in front of their apartment, but Robert didn’t sit with them for long before Bacardi came for him, and they both departed secretly.
After they left, Sandra took Robert’s place, sitting beside Nino.
“You’re not here to spark fire again, right?” Nino talked.
“Your paranoia around me is annoying.” Sandra muttered.
“Paranoia? That’s too simple. You gave me PTSD.” Nino replied, and she faced him with hunched shoulders.
“Really?”
“Yes. Now if you’d shift back before your granddad appears and sees you sitting beside me then push me off a cliff.” Nino said without unfiltered.
Sandra wanted to talk again, but Nino just stood for the sake of his own peace. He left the area.
Tierney followed him, and Ginny shifted closer to Ivanna.
Sandra kept sitting there, biting her tongue repeatedly, till Ginny’s hand went to her face.
She held her chin down to keep her from biting her tongue again, and Sandra faced her.
“Stop biting. Only bad people like Lissa have that habit.” Ginny said.
Slowly, Sandra took her skinny hand away from her chin.
“Ginny? How old are you? 20? Why so thin?” She asked.
“I’ve always been slim, but don’t get it wrong, I’m not positive, just have a weak heart and I’m too picky with food.” Ginny whispered.
Sandra smiled before she knew it, and her eyes met Ivanna.
Ivanna isn’t talking to anyone. She’s just there, gazing.
She went closer, and Ivanna was conscious enough to look at her.
“You here to tell me how much you hate me again?”
“You’re cranky and assertive…not good.” Sandra muttered.
“If you miss your brother, then my side is not the place for you to come crash out.” Ivanna muttered.
“Miss Leo with these chaos going?” Sandra scoffed. “You’re the one who looks like you miss him, stop trying to make me fit into the assertion.”
“Delusional much?” Ivanna said.
“Lying much?” Sandra replied.
Ivanna just stood and walked away. Ginny followed her.
Sandra scoffed again. “Who does she think she’s deceiving?”
Then she looked around. “Where the hell is Bob?”
—
[Bacardi’s Planet]At the back property of the planet, there’s a resting arcade, and that’s where Bacardi pulled Robert to.
She’s in his arms, hugging. His arms are on her too, wrapped tight.
She wants more than this. He wants more than this. They both want more than this, but with things being as chaotic as this, they could only do this much, and they’re fine with it.
They’ve been hugging for five full minutes now, in silence.
“Your parents? Are they improving?” She muttered.
“Very well, just that I’m not sure about their nails and dad’s ear…it’s all ruined by Lissa.” Robert replied.
Bacardi broke the hug, but she still held his muscular arms as she looked up at his face, fondly.
“Don’t worry, when things go down a bit, we can send them off to New York for surgery. I know a surgeon.” She said frankly.
“You’ve done enough, I’ve been using your card, spending your money on my parents and on myself—”
“Shhh,” she placed a finger on his lips
“Rob, you’re my boo, if I can’t do that much with the money I have, then what am I? In the future, the clan will start paying you if you start getting special missions like Leo and Bob, then you can start paying me back. For now, just use the card.” She said.
Robert went down, kissing her hard on the lips. Short, but affectionate.
“Cardi…” He whispered.
“Yes?” She smiled.
“You’re doing too much.” He said emotionally, and she smiled again as he hugged her face to his chest.
“I haven’t even started, Rob.”
From the rooftop of the closest hood to them, a camera clicked, capturing the two clearly.
—
[Penthouse]Don Anthony and Felicia didn’t come down till they heard the Padrino is finally on his way here.
The summit will happen at the ballroom, so they’re both making their ways to the ballroom when they suddenly got crossed.
By Island.
She wore a better dress, better heels. She’s even on makeup, holding a beautiful plate of grapes.
After Lissa’s wedding two weeks ago, she got treated better at the Armando mansion. Emma still remained that big bully, but surprisingly, Thaddeus has been coming to Island’s rescue.
Now she’s just that girl, again. Glowing. Shining. Slaying.
She released a choky laughter on Felicia’s face first, then threw a grapefruit at Thaddeus.
“Look at them! So hard to look at!”
“Who’d have thought I once fought a drunk man for you in my bar? Who’d have thought I once agreed to drug Nino cos of you? Who’d have thought I cut my two fingers…”
Felicia raised her hand at this point. She’s not wearing the plastic fingers to cover up anymore, so the two cut fingers are visible, short in the middle of her remaining fingers.
“Because of you.” Felicia continued hurtfully, not even trying to fight back her tears.
“You’re only saying that to console yourself, telling lies to make yourself a saint. Honestly, don’t you get tired? You only clung to me cos your delusional self saw me as your daughter! You barren giraffe like Leonardo said!” Island laughed.
Anthony stepped forward to give her a slap, but Felicia dragged him back.
“No… leave her alone for karma.”
“Let him come, losers! Karma? It’s a biich like me so we’re friends and it ain’t gonna do nada to me! LOSERS!!” Island poured the grapes on her plate at them before she catwalked away.
Felicia dragged Anthony, and he just followed her lead as he started taking him back inside.
“Let’s go change, we got stained by the grape juice.” She smiled simply.
From there, Island made her way to the ballroom, intending to go wait with the rest, but he came across Emma, and she halted.
“What an unpleasant time to see your face, Emmaline. Aren’t you supposed to be helping Madam Penny with her dress?” She sighed.
Emma looked at her thoroughly before replying.
“She doesn’t need my help with her dress. Besides, I’m a maid for Miss Lissa, not Madam Penny. Now that Miss is on her honeymoon, I’m in my resting phase, and that’s why you’re frolicking around, being jumpy and arrogant with your dresses.”
“Are you jealous? That Brigadier Thaddeus is now standing up for me?” Island chuckled.
“Maybe you’re his next human golf ball, who knows?” Emma chuckled too and left her there.
“Filth!” Island said.
—
When Ginny and Ivanna left the front of the apartment earlier, they went to the ballroom to stay and wait.
They’re still there.
No Padrino in sight. No brigadiers or old men, just the mobsters.
Ginny’s head is on Ivanna’s shoulder, already sleeping.
Ivanna’s phone is in her hand, and she hesitated to press PLAY on the screen video before she finally did it, and when she pressed PLAY, her mind froze… His voice came first.
“DON’T BE SILLY, YOU REALLY THINK YOU’D CATCH ANYTHING AT NIGHT WITH THAT TELESCOPE?”
It’s the video of the yacht…the one she took from the cabin pole memory card. The moment the voice played, she stopped watching and turned off her phone, nailing her palm.
“You miss him?” Ginny’s voice came from her shoulder, and she looked at her slowly. She’s not asleep.
“Can you…not ask questions?” She muttered.
Ginny nodded in understanding, then a new announcement dropped that the Padrino won’t be arriving till an hour from now.
“I could have continued staying at home,” Ivanna muttered.
“I’ll just go home and come back in thirty minutes. At least, I’ll get a look at mum and dad.” Ginny stood.
“Who’s gonna drive you?” Ivanna asked.
“I will,” Tierney entered with Nino.
Nino gave him a car key, and Ginny left the ballroom with him.
Nino then sat beside Ivanna.
Her finger mistakingly touched the sensor on her phone, and the screen came back on.
The video resumed playing automatically, and she quickly switched off her phone completely, but Nino already saw a little.
“You miss him?” He asked.
Ivanna looked like she wasn’t gonna talk first, but then she looked up with hurting eyes.
“Why does everyone keep asking that?” She asked in a broken voice.
“Cos you look like you do,” Nino replied flatly.
She sniffled, nodded, and he pulled her head to his shoulder.
“Don’t worry, it means nothing, just wanna console you.” He said.
She nodded again, letting her head stay there peacefully.
—
[Street 130]Hilda has been staying with the parents for an hour now, and she kept checking the estate updates, waiting to read what the summit will be about, but it hasn’t even started.
“Why are they dragging it?” She muttered, checking the update again, and that was when she saw the new update that it has been shifted to 1pm again. One more hour.
“Now I’m getting so tensed…” She muttered, standing.
She felt like drinking pineapple juice, but she can’t send the guards on an errand cos she doesn’t have that power, and there’s no pineapple juice in the family freezer.
She decided to go get it herself, so she left the house in her car.
As she drove out, Erica’s eyes opened in her bed, slowly.
Meanwhile, on top of that tree opposite the house, Hayden is there, squatted like an hawk.
He was lucky to even climb up without catching the attention of The Outfit guards surrounding the house, and now that he’s up, it feels impossible to even enter.
If he had someone else with him, the person would have distracted them and he’d have entered during the distraction, but he’s alone, so he could do nothing but stay on top of that tree and just stare at the house.
—
[Serenity Orphanage]Bobby has been here since the day broke. He came immediately he left his bed. He has been coming like this since two weeks ago.
Always.
He never missed a day.
There’s a cemetery inside the orphanage, and that’s where bodies of dead orphans are buried.
When he came here two weeks ago, and the Sister in charge of the cemetery showed him to Wendy’s grave, she said…
“She was dumped in front of the gate in a lidless coffin, and her body looked like it was tortured madly after her death. I hope God’s anger rains on whoever did that.”
As he sat on top of Wendy’s grave today, reminiscing about that statement, he grinned, chewing gum and smoking at the same time.
He looked at her name that was written on top of the grave.
Wendy. Just Wendy. No surname since she didn’t even know her parents before she died.
Tears fell from Bobby’s eyes to the name, and he grinned again.
“God’s anger rain is already drenching me, Wendy.” He muttered, swallowing smokes.
—
Tierney and Ginny are still on the drive to street 130. While Tierney drove, Ginny slept on her seat.
“Look who wanted to go home to check on her parents. And everyone says I’m addicted to food? This one can sleep for days.” Tierney muttered, smirking as he pulled her dress down to cover her well.
Then…he saw Hilda, entering a store.
“Hilda?” He blinked.
That was enough to wake Ginny.
“Hilda?”
“There!” Tierney pointed, and they both got out of the car, going after her into the store.
Meanwhile, Hilda just entered the store and picked three bottles of the juice since it’s the only thing she came for. She held them to her chest and was going to the counter to pay when she felt something crawling behind her neck.
Her right hand flew back, striking herself over there. She brought that hand back to the front, and she was shocked to see a bedbug.
But problem is when she wanted to exclaim, she couldn’t. Her mouth felt gummed, tongue felt tied. Her mouth roof felt conjoined with the walls.
Also, she began sweating, and her hands went down. The juices fell away from her, landing.
She felt like her blood became acid inside her system. She’s boiling from the bones to flesh to fluids.
“Hilda!” Ginny and Tierney found her, but when they saw her red face, they stopped, eyes wide.
“Hilda!!” They screamed as the woman went down with a crash.
“Hilda!!!”
They ran forward, falling on their knees beside her.
Behind the last shelf, Bradshaw stood, smiling.
—
[House Of Esposito]The update seemed to be fake cos even before half past 12pm, Marko arrived in the ballroom.
When the mobsters saw him coming, everyone of them rushed to the room, scared of what he might do if he arrived before them.
Everyone was already in the hall before he entered. Even Thaddeus and Penny have arrived, and the old brigadiers and men.
Felicia and Anthony are a part of the crowd of mobsters.
Bobby is back too, and he’s standing in the middle of Bacardi and Sandra.
Robert is back with Nino and Ivanna, and they’re secretly trying Tierney and Ginny’s line.
Emma and Island are just a gap apart from each other.
A guard wiped Marko’s sweaty face with a towel when he arrived at the front, and the man cleared his throat before his speech started.
“This sumit is for the purpose of only one announcement,”
Breaths were held instantly, and he looked up to study the expressions and body languages of the mob, looking to catch any stray.
There’s none, so he dropped the bomb cynically.
“Anthony Coker is ordered to retire as the Don of The Outfit.”
Bobby and his siblings eyes went wide immediately. They looked straight ahead at the same time.
The rest of the mob is just as shocked, but no one dared to say one word even as the shock grew.
The silence deepened.
Even breathing feels like an offence in here currently.
“His name is to be cancelled from the Dons records, meaning; he never reigned here as a Don. He’s to leave the clan with not even a pin. He’s only allowed to take his wife with him. The missing billion from the vault has been forgiven by the Armando family, he can forget about paying back, but the clan’s account in his wife’s name was messed with by Monika, and the billions were taken. “You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng” While he’s outside the clan, he’s to make money by any means and pay the billions back within one year. Failure to do that, he’ll be pushed to the state prison where criminals dance in the sun always!”
The verdict got everyone rolling like an unexpected hurricane, especially the Esposito siblings.
Felicia and Anthony looks the same. They don’t look shocked at all as if they’ve been expecting this.
Thaddeus and Penny are smiling victoriously at each other. Even without them working too hard, the chess pieces are moving obediently in their favor—on the board.
Ivanna’s eyes are the widest among her siblings. She couldn’t breathe.
Why would…
“Also, the low and high mobsters hierarchy will be rearranged starting tommorow when the new Don will take over. Before tomorrow, I’m taking in a new additional guard to work at my valley. Robert Cooper”
Ivanna’s eyes widened more, even Bacardi’s.
“No!” The two said at the same time, and they both covered Robert. They stood in front of him like his avatars.
“And today,” Marko continued. “The seventh day in the first month of this year, The Outfit calendar will change, once again. The Outfit receives another Don after 29 years. Thaddeus Armando.” He said.
Mouths hung open, again.
Thaddeus and his wife stood.
Emma and Island are making videos to send to Lissa later
Today is the best day in the lives of the Armando family members.
“The upcoming Don is not taking over till he turns 30 next year, so…till next year, Thaddeus Armando who’d be the grandfather of the Outfit heir will be the Acting Don. In blood.” Marko finished the verdict.
“With blood!” The mobsters chorused after him.
“You f+kin imbecile!!!! How dare you tarnish the image of the empire!!! How dare you disgrace my father! Acting Don? Who does that!!!! Who f+kin does that!!! Marko!!!” Bobby roared, stalking to the front already, but Anthony blocked him.
“I’m fine, Bobby…”
“No I’m not! And you’re not fine I see it in your damn eyes! Leave the clan without taking a pin??? Is he fuckin kidding me? Obviously setting you up to become a beggar! Bullshit!! Bull fuckin shit! I’m gonna kill him!!!” Bobby broke free.
Renata joined Anthony, even Nino and Sandra joined them.
It took the work of like five people to hold him down so he won’t go to the front and ruin things.
Bacardi and Ivanna are still covering Robert, but Robert himself left their back. He came to the front.
“No, Robert you can’t do this. I know he has a plan for you.” Ivanna said nervously, her eyes desperately wide.
“I’ll go start working for him in his valley instead of you. I won’t let you go.” Bacardi said fearfully.
“I’m interested in seeing what he has to do to me too. I’ll be fine.” Robert insisted, and their eyes met.
“What!”
—
[Paris, Four Seasons Hotel George V]The suite felt hot…too hot with the sound of skins, smell of sin, taste of illegality. S+x lingered thickly in the air like a mountain fog.
On the ground, there are sprinkles of white liquid which is definitely the male release—sp£rm.
Sp£rm is everywhere, and m+ans is everywhere too. Grunts and screams and slaps.
One of the voice belongs to Lalissa, and the second belongs to Leonardo.
Some people do say couples whose names starts with the same letters have higher chances of having a sweet marriage.
Lissa didn’t believe in that hypothesis till she entered this married life with him. Especially today, as she lay on all fours in bed, and Leonardo thrusted her arsehole from the back, pumping and pumping.
Her teeth held the pillow, biting hard into the foam as her arse stung. She was crying, but not from pains. It’s pleasure… sweetness.
Her two hands went behind, and she split her arse farther, giving him more space. He pumped again.
“Hubby! Hubby I love you! Hubby I love your c+k!”
“Hubby ahh! Hubby yes!”
“Hu….hu! …. Ahh!”
Her voice disappeared from her throat when he slapped her arse with harsh impact, the sound travelling across the room. The bed bounced.
His sp+rm flooded her insides, but not everything. He pulled out and poured the droplets on her face, slapping her cheek loudly with his c+k. Her cheek reddened with a long line drawn from his c+k-print.
“I wish you can tie that c+k around my neck like a rope! I love me a dî+k rope! I’d willingly be your dog!” She laughed sickly.
He slapped her with it again, louder.
“Oh hubby, I love when you slap me with it! I love when you get cruel! Love your wickedness” She grinned.
“Red mind, red words. You’re everything dirty, wifey.” Leonardo smiled, his face crazed with a long streak of madness as his voice filled the room in one sentence.
He slapped her with it for the third time, and she cried, again.
Again…
Echoes…
Ding!
Lissa’s eyes opened.
It’s a dream. A sweet dream.
She’s in bed, her hand between her thighs. Her fingers inside her p+xxy, f1ngering herself.
She must have started the f1nger¡ng when she was asleep, and that’s obviously the cause of the dream.
She withdrew her fingers, bringing it to her mouth to lick, then she opened her legs and checked out her core.
Seeing how starved and hungry it is, she groaned before getting off the ivory-lined bed.
With cautious steps, she stepped out to their private suite balcony where their maids and staffs are.
“Where’s my husband?” She asked them with a scowl.
“He’s out for a drive. He left with a bunch of guards, so you don’t have to worry, Mrs. Esposito.” The guard replied with a bow.
Lissa smiled, taking her seat.
Mrs. Esposito.
She has heard that close to hundred times since they came here, but each time, it sounds newer, sweeter.
She told the staffs to step back, so she adjusted her dress and hair, taking her time to check her phone as the suite air refreshed her skin.
The suite is a world on its own, a shield from the glittering chaos of Paris outside.
Heavy silk drapes framed the tall windows that let in the soft, gray light of the evening, dusting the room in a gentle warmth.
The walls are a muted elegant cream. Plush velvet armchairs and a chaise longue invited stillness inside.
In one corner, a discreet minibar waited, stocked with crystal brandy and champagne.
Every detail, starting from the soft rugs underfoot to the glint of silver on the nightstands—felt meticulously chosen and right.
Lissa stood after getting enough air, her eyes glinting when she saw the new update in the estate board.
“Don Thaddeus Armando?”
Then… Emma sent her a video. Island sent her a video, Penny sent her a video too. Videos of Thaddeus’ oath taking ceremony earlier today.
Her father really became the new Acting Don of The Outfit!
“F+k!!!” Lissa jumped, her hair flowing up from the back of her neck where a new tattoo sat.
The tattoo is two words—LEO’S WIFEY. She got it just last week.
Then… Below her belly, there’s another one. RAYMOND’S MUM.
Raymond is the name she chose for their future son which she’s expecting very soon.
She was still rejoicing when Penny’s call rang on her phone.
“Heyyyy, best mum in the world!!”
“Congratulations to us! Just two weeks ago, you got married to the future Don and automatically became the mother of the heir, and today, your father became the Acting Don! Lalissa, we must have saved a nation in our past lives! Gawd is blessing us it’s scary! This is too much and I’m wondering if he’s forgetting that there are other people in the world who needs blessings too! We don’t want the blessings anymore we’re about to choke!” Penny said all at once, vomiting the words nonstop.
“No, mum! Let it keep coming! Let us choke I’m so happy! Congratulations to us!!” Lissa squealed.
“Your dad is still drinking and receiving congratulations from far and wide, he’s going to call you later! Why am I not hearing your husband’s voice anywhere?” Penny asked.
“He went out for a drive,”
“And he didn’t take you?” Penny accused.
“I was deeply asleep, mum.” Lissa replied.
“I have to go! The congratulations are still coming in and—”
Penny hasn’t finished talking when she hung up.
“Urg! So dramatic!” Lissa laughed, turning around in that minibar.
Her countenance changed from lively to dry immediately.
Again? Leonardo left her here again to go out?
She even had to create fake Disneyland pictures of them online just to show off, but all he does is wake up, gym, smoke, drink, go out for a stupid drive!
“Call the park, I need a car ready, and get me the location tracker of the car my husband took out. I’m going to trace him” she suddenly said.
“Ma?” The staffs blinked.
“I said get a car ready, I need to be beside my husband!!!” Lissa yelled crankily, and the staffs rushed out.
—
[7pm, A Road]With leather-gloved hands, the driver drove behind the wheel, head tilted to the side even as the car sped madly on the asphalt, disobeying every traffic rule.
The car smells new cos it’s new—every car at the hotel park is new.
The lights from the buildings beside the road hit the car window in a blur, and his head tilted to another side of the window, stilling.
Leonardo.
His face is harder than a tombstone, the features pressed. He disobeyed another traffic rule, speeding past the other cars when a truck is passing.
He’s aware there’s a bunch of guards car following him to monitor his movements, so he’s intentionally taking them on a run.
Everything is being watched by Marko from Chicago. He watches his phone calls, his outings, his breathings, people he meets.
There are even cameras in their bedrooms, and the surveillance videos are all getting sent to Marko on a daily basis by the guards.
By the end of this year, they’re supposed to return to Chicago with a baby, and that thought made him throw his head to the back as he stopped his car safely beside the road
Silence doesn’t always mean powerlessness. Sometimes, it’s a weapon. A cold, dangerous weapon.
A faint smirk lowered his lips as his eyes went to the side of the road.
There’s an ice cream shop, and the ice cream must be so good cos people are lining in a queue to buy.
He rolled down his window, and the different flavor scents hit his nose.
Strawberry, banana, mint, apple,…. Vanilla.
He held his breaths immediately he perceived the vanilla, and he winded back up, lighting a cigar.
He took a drag, tasting the sting of the smokes on his tongue, then he hung the cigar between his lips before starting the car again.
He checked his wristwatch.
His phone might be getting watched, but not his wristwatch.
Looks like a normal wristwatch, but it’s a smartwatch, and he has been cautious of his moves about the watch to avoid suspicions.
It’s finally time.
The rim of the watch beeped faint blue… A signal.
He looked up at the road traffic lights, and it’s beeping blue too.
He sped off, again.
As he drove, he used his chin to press a button on the watch.
“Speak” He said.
“The next highway is in one minute. Cross the middle line and make sure the guards have enough gap separating them from you.” A known voice replied from the watch.
Leonardo grabbed the wheel tighter, speeding up again…his accelerator was screaming at him.
He heard nothing.
Every traffic light he’s speeding past is gleaming danger at him too, but who actually cares?
He entered the highway, and he successfully put a gap between him and the three cars of guards behind him. When they tried covering the gap, stray cats suddenly ran into the highway from nowhere, and they had to stop to avoid killing any.
As they stopped, waiting for the cats to run past, Leonardo already went far from that road.
“Saw what you did,” he whispered to the wristwatch.
“Stop!” The voice dropped from the wristwatch again.
Leonardo stopped the car in front of a store and came out, still smoking like a godless tyrant.
The guards will catch up in about five minutes, so there’s limited time.
He rushed into the store, and first thing he saw was a shelf filled with blue packs of c+nd0ms.
He understood immediately—the blue signal.
He went to that shelf, pushed it aside to go deeper into the inside space.
When he got there, he lowered his cigarette from his red lips, slowly.
A guy stood there—the same guy he has been communicating with through the wristwatch.
But not just any guy. It’s his Britain spy. The closest to him among his spies. Madly close.
He removed his beanie cap, then he removed his glasses too. He used his hand to arrange his dishevelled hair.
He went ahead to remove the fake scattered dirty teeth he’s wearing.
His perfect set of teeth was revealed, with his real undisguised face.
“You’re a uncircumcised bastard, Stanley.” Leonardo muttered coldly.
“Always been a bastard, Ghost Boss.” He replied and smiled brightly.
It’s the same Stanley everyone thought burned on that bridge.
Lissa’s supposed dead boyfriend!
TBC.
