    ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Violet was alone in the hall, engrossed in her book, her face turned calm, her eyes cast downward. Mabel came over, a concerned look on her face.

"Hey," Violet said, looking up from her book, a faint smile on her face.

Mabel's face turned curious, her eyebrows furrowing. "What happened to you two days ago? I couldn't reach you," she asked, her voice soft.

"Sorry about that, just had a little cramps," she said, her voice weak.

"Oh, I see," she said, and then noticed Violet's paled look. "What happened? Why do you look so pale?" she asked, her voice concerned.

"Nothing, I'm fine," she said, trying to reassure Mabel.

"Are you sure?" she asked, her voice soft. Violet nodded, a faint smile on her face. "Ok," She said smiling back at her, and they continued chatting.

Meanwhile, Sly was having a talk with his men at the poolside, his face turned serious, his eyes narrowing.

"Have you been keeping an eye on her?" he asked, his voice low.

One of his men nodded, his face turned cautious. "Yes, boss, she has a bodyguard with her, and it will be very difficult to get to her," he said.

His face turned amused, "What a smart ass you got, Shawn, you think hiring a guard around her will make me get away, you lied," he chuckled. His men looked at him, their faces turned curious. "Let's see how long you can keep her away from me," he said, his voice low and menacing.

One of his men spoke up, his face turned cautious. "Boss, there is something you should know," he said.

"What?" he asked, his voice low.

"Shawn is out of town now and won't be back till next week," the man said, and a smirk curved Sly's lips.

"Good point, then," He said, his voice low and menacing. "I want you three to do something for me," he said, his eyes glinting with amusement, and continued talking as his men listened intently.

Later in the cool evening, Violet stood near the window, staring out at the shining stars, a smile curved on her face. Her eyes sparkled with wonder, her face turned calm. Then, she heard her cell phone ringing and moved to the bed to pick up the phone, seeing Shawn calling her through video call. Her face turned surprised, her eyebrows furrowing.

"Video call, since when?" she wondered, and then picked up the phone, letting it face the ceiling.

"What are you doing, I can't see your face," he said on the phone. "Or don't you know how to use a phone?" he teased.

"Why are you calling me at this time of the night on a video call?" she asked, her eyes flashing with annoyance and not showing her face to the screen.

"And why aren't you sleeping at this time of the night? Is it because you miss me?" he teased.

Violet's face turned annoyed, her eyebrows furrowing. She picked up the phone to her face, and quickly Shawn turned his phone, showing his ceiling.

"Why aren't you showing your face?" she asked, her voice firm.

"You started it first," he said.

"Is this some kind of a payback?" she asked, her eyes rolling in frustration.

"Maybe, if you agree that you miss me, I will show you my face," he said.

"Yeah right," she said. Her face turned skeptical Shawn giggled, his face turned amused. "When are you coming back?" She asked, her voice soft.

"So, you do miss me," he said teasing.

"I don't, stop saying that," she said. her eyes flashing with annoyance.

"Then why are you asking me when am I coming back?" he asked as he scoffed.

"I just want to ask like a nice person that I am, unlike you," she said.

He giggled, "Don't worry, I will be back before you know it. Now, go to sleep, don't you have class tomorrow?" he asked, his face turned serious.

"I do, but by 9 am," She said, her face turned calm, her eyes cast downward.

"Ok," he said, and there was a quiet moment between them.

"Um, I am gonna hang up," she said, breaking the silent moment.

"Says who? I called, and I decide to hang up or not," he said, his voice low and teasing.

"Fine, have it your way," she said, rolling her eyes and then laying down under the blanket.

"Are you feeling sleepy?" he asked, his voice soft.

"No, I guess you are bored and you need someone to talk to," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Yeah right," he scoffed, and then a female voice spoke in the background.

"It's done," the female voice said.

Shawn's face turned serious, his eyes nodding. "Ok, thanks," he said to the lady, and then turned to the screen.

"You have a lady in your room?" she asked, her voice soft.

  "Yeah, why?" he smirked.

"Nothing, I am just curious," she said nonchalant , her voice soft. Shawn chuckled. "I should hang up; I don't want to interrupt the moment between you two... Don't worry, I am not going to tell Mabel that you are cheating on her sister," She said, her face turned sarcastic.

"Why, you think Rachel and I are dating?" he asked, his voice low.

"I don't care, and I don't want to know. I am going to bed now, goodnight," she said, trying to hang up.

"I didn't ask you to hang up," he said, his voice low.

"But I am feeling sleepy, and besides, it's not good to keep a lady waiting," she said, her voice soft.

"Which lady? You?" he asked, his voice low and teasing.

"The one in your room, I guess she is waiting for you right now," She said, her face turned nonchalant, her eyes cast downward.

"Why? Are you jealous that I am with someone?" he teased, his voice low and husky.

She scoffed, her face turned annoyed, her eyes flashing with frustration. "I wish! I can't be jealous of you, firstly, you are not my type, and I can't stand you, secondly, you are too old for me, and, thirdly, I can never fall for you," she said, her voice firm and confident.

Shawn chuckled. "You wanna bet on that? I believe you are falling for me right now," he said, his voice low and teasing.

She rolled her eyes. "I wish," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm, and yawned, her eyes closing slightly.

"Are you trying to swallow me up?" he teased, his voice low and husky.

She grumbled, her face turned sleepy, her eyes closing. "Just let me hang up, I am feeling sleepy," she said, her voice soft and sleepy.

"Go ahead and sleep, I won't stop you," he said, his voice low and gentle.

She pouted, her face turned sleepy, her eyes closing slowly. "Fine," she said, her voice barely audible, and allowed sleep to take over.

He watched her sleep, a chuckle escaping his lips, his face turned amused, his eyes sparkling with humor.
