MANDI'S HOUSE* 

Scylla walked out of the kitchen with a glass of wine in her hand,she heaves out a sigh as she stared at Mandi whose head was placed on Billie's laps while explaining her misery with broken voice. 

"So you're saying,Daven saw your blood and gave you his jacket to cover up?" She asked. 

Mandi nodded. 

"I know how embarrassing that must have been,but it's fine,at least he helped" Billie said and wiped Mandi's tears. 

"I wanted to ignore him,so I was grumpy...then he said that,I wanted the ground to swallow me up" 

"I understand" Scylla sighed and shook her head. 

"How's your tummy? Still feeling the pain?" Billie touched her hair. 

"I want to sleep" Mandi mumbled and closed her eyes. 

Billie and Scylla exchanged glances and chuckled. 

"Are you mocking me now?" Mandi asked. 

"Not you,go on and sleep" Billie pat her hair. 

She exchanged glances with Scylla again,,Mandi is known to always act like a baby whenever she's on her period so it's no more a new thing to them. 

Scylla dropped her wine and sat down on the couch then picked her phone,,she was expecting to see Kian's text but nothing as such. 

"You okay?" Billie looked at her. 

"Yeah I'm good,I will just take my leave now,shall I order food for you guys?" Scylla asked as she started packing her bag. 

"You're going to Kian's?" Billie raised her brows. 

"Hmm" Scylla nodded. 

"I was just wondering...what might have caused Prof Aaron's death,I know he wasn't really as good as all but still i'm curious" Billie muttered. 

"Who knows,bye girl" Scylla said and Billie nodded. 

Scylla went out. 

*

KIAN'S VILLA* 

"Where's the video you're talking about?" Kairo threw the question at Kian immediately he pushed the door open. 

Kian sighed from the couch he was seated on. 

"Where the f+ck is the video?!" Kairo snapped impatiently. 

"Can you calm down at least?" Kian looked at him. 

"Calm down? Do I look like someone who can calm down?" Kairo scoffed. 

Kian stood up and led the way to the lab,they entered and both sat down as Kian put the video on screen for Kairo to watch. 

"Wait...isn't that..Vincenzo's son? Kenzo?"  Kairo looked at Kian with wide eyes. 

"It's weird right?" Kian muttered. 

"I thought...mom was supposed to be dead around 16 years ago? According to...."

"We were deceived" Kian sighed. 

"What are you talking about?" Kairo furrowed his brows. 

Kian forward the video to the end and then the date the video was recorded came on screen. 

"2020?" Kairo's eyes went dark for a minute. 

"Four years ago,this video was recorded, which means...."

"One,she was kept in hostage Sixteen years ago and was finally killed four years ago,two,she might still be alive...I will kill Vincenzo,right now and don't even try to stop me" Kairo mumbled and stormed out of the lab. 

"Hey!! You think going there now will solve it?!" Kian went after him. 

"I don't care!!!" Kairo growled. 

"Can you calm down? I think Vincenzo doesn't know about it" Kian grabbed his arm and made him face him. 

"What? Vincenzo doesn't know? Are you thinking straight or backward? Don't tell me you really think Kenzo did that shît without anyone...."

"It might happen" Kian muttered. 

"Then I'm going to kill Kenzo!! Why are you stopping me?!" Kairo yelled. 

"I want to know what the f+ck really happened!!! Not just who killed her!!" Kian yelled back. 

"You think that's important right now?" 

"Kairo,,killing anyone now isn't going to give us the truth we are looking for. I don't know about you,but I really want to know why,,I really want to know what they did so wrong to deserve such painful death,both father and mother,can't you try to understand?...."

Kairo shoved his hand off. 

"I'm surprised,,you actually never thought about that when you were under Vincenzo's roof,I understand you might have thought he was your father for some years,but have you ever thought about mom?..."

"What If I was really thinking about her? What could I have done in such place where I only had to face pains every f+cking day? You think I would be able to handle them all while staying there?! Why do you think I endured all the f+cking pains even though I was supposed to fight back at least? But you know what? If I had fought back,you wouldn't have met me,I would have died just like father. Kairo there's time for everything..."

"That's no longer in my dictionary" Kairo shook his head. 

"Everyday of my life,I trained so hard without doing anything meaningful with my life just because I want to destroy everyone,then when I couldn't get hold of Vincenzo and his sons,Jadaline and her daughters,Tiger! Fox!!! All of them,when I couldn't get them,I turned into a murderer because everything was eating me up,I needed them to find me,,then I killed the first person,I was smiling rather than feeling sorry,then the second,third.....I have no f+cking feelings,so before those coldness get off,I need to kill them all,coz I still can't stop thinking of it...hey..." He grabbed Kian's collar. 

"Those friends of yours,,if I find any of them guilty of any shît related to mom or father,don't try to stop me,including your girlfriend,maybe we might have to face each other by that time,like I said,I have no feelings,f+ck anybody,I will kill them all and kill myself as well,I don't really care" Kairo muttered with cold look in his eyes. 

He released Kian and pushed him off before storming out. 

He met Scylla standing there,she swallowed and quickly moved out of his way. 

"Welcome" Kairo smiled at her,but it faded just as it came,he entered his car and drove off roughly. 

Scylla went inside the house and met Kian still standing on the same spot. 

"Babe" She called softly. 

Kian looked at her and flashed her a little smile. 

"I missed you" She went closer and hugged him. 

She broke the hug and touched Kian's cheeks. 

"Are you okay? I was standing outside and seems like you two were arguing about something,What is it?" She asked with concern. 

Kian handed over his phone to her to watch tbe video and a loud gasp escaped from her mouth. 

"Isn't that..your...brother?" She stuttered. 

"He's not my brother" 

"I know,I'm just saying...Kenzo" 

"Yeah" Kian muttered and sat down. 

"So what are you planning to do? You can't just sit down and watch" 

"Nothing,for now,I need to know some things" Kian replied. 

"I can help,you can use me to find out" Scylla tapped her chest and Kian looked at her. 

"You?" 

"I'm your girlfriend,I want to help you figure things out too,so please,don't say no,think about something fast" Scylla sat down beside him. 

"Can you meet up with him? I will send him the video and he would definitely want to meet the sender,then you go" Kian said. 

Scylla nodded. 

"I can do that" 

"Bet he would tell you something at least,as soon as you are done with him,I will call you and you will report whatever he says,can you do that?" Kian asked. 

"Yes I can,are you doubting me?" 

"No,I trust you,that's why I'm asking you to do it" Kian replied. 

"And don't worry,he wouldn't hurt you,,I know he can't..."

"He won't" Scylla said. 

"Then..I will go ahead and send it right now,with an anonymous number" Kian muttered. 

They both settled down in his hack lab and Scylla looked around. 

"It's my first time seeing how this place really looks like" She said and turned back to the screen. 

Kian already sent the video and as predicted,Kenzo replied almost immediately,evidence of restlessness. 

Kenzo: Who the f+ck are you?

Kian: If you wanna know,let's meet up..tomorrow. 

Kenzo: location?

Kian smiled and looked at Scylla. 

"Pick anyone,I can't choose somewhere you wouldn't know" He said and Scylla shifted closer to the keyboard. 

Kian pecked her cheek. 

"I love you" He whispered into her ear. 

Scylla blushed. 

"I love you more" She said and sent the message at once. 

"Good job" Kian uttered.

6PM, LOTANA'S HOUSE* 

"You're here" Lotana smiled as he appeared on the stair case,Knox looked up at him. He was getting better with his steps but not really well,at least he could walk some distance around his house right now.

"Careful" Knox told him. 

"That means a lot,you still care" Lotana said as he got down. 

"What is it that you want to talk about?" Knox asked.

"Don't tell me you're in such a hurry,you haven't visited me once since I got back home" Lotana muttered. 

"You have Ben" Knox replied and sat down. 

"No,I stopped being friends with him" Lotana replied. 

"Why?" 

"Just...because" Lotana replied. 

"Why am I here?" Knox sighed. 

" I don't know why I'm doing this,but...." He paused. 

Knox raised his brows. 

"But what?" 

"I think our fathers are really involved in a dark secret we don't know.....about Kian's parents" Lotana muttered. 

"How did you..."

"I heard them talking" Lotana replied. 

"What were they saying exactly?" Knox snapped. 

"I think goddess want them to step down from their positions,,but I heard them talking about how they don't even remember where Maddog was buried anymore" Lotana replied. 

Knox buried his face into his palms and sighed out. 

"I'm sorry for doubting at first..."

"You should apologize to Kian not me!! Do you even remember what you did?! You even went as far as telling everyone about him and Scylla..."

"That was what father told me to do..."

"Are you dumb?! You think he was doing it for you?! None of them Care about us Lotana,they only care about their darn ranks and powers!! Everything!!" Knox shouted. 

Lotana nodded. 

"But still,they are our fathers...."

"That's why they must pay for what they did,I'm going to help Kian till the end,and I don't care what happens,that's how I won't live in guilt for the rest of my life" Knox muttered and walked out of the house.

Win was already waiting at their table when Liliana arrived,she found him almost immediately and walked over to him. 

The restaurant is quite a classic one. 

"Hey" Win smiled. 

"Hi" Liliana sat down. 

"You came just at the right time" He winked and handed over the restaurant Menu to her. 

"Order whatever you wanna eat,it's on me" He said. 

"Was it supposed to be on me?" Liliana scoffed. 

Moments later,they were both eating,in silence until Win broke the silence. 

"I was thinking,is your sister really still dating Kian?" Win asked and Liliana looked at him. 

"Is that question for me?"

"I heard about Mad dog conflict with the mafias,don't you think it's not wise to get involved with Kian or his brother?" Win asked. 

Liliana scoffed. 

"I know" she said. 

"Obviously,he's an enemy,you should talk to your sister" Win smiled. 

"What are you?" Liliana dropped her cutlery. 

"Someone you might want to get close with later...a supporter" He winked. 

Liliana chuckled and continue eating again. 

"You're pretty,really" Win muttered. 

"I know" Liliana said. 

*

NEXT MORNING, KAIRO'S PLACE* 

It was around 9 in the morning,and it's a Saturday so Kairo slept in. 

After waking up and taking his bath,he walked out of his room and started going downstairs,a frown appeared on his face when he heard some sounds ,until he saw Hia cleaning the living room. 

"That's not your job" Kairo said as he got close to her. 

Hia turned to face him.

"You drank so much last night,what happened??" She questioned,showing him the bottles scattered all over the floor. 

"Leave it and go" Kairo rolled his eyes and went to the kitchen but Hia followed him. 

"Is there a problem?" She asked.

"I hate repeating myself and you know that,leave" He glared at him. 

"I'm not leaving until I clean all the mess you made,you even broke things,you might hurt your legs" Hia muttered. 

Kairo ignored her and took another bottle of wine. 

"Oh oh" She grabbed it from him and he sneered. 

"Wanna stab me? Then do it" she said. 

"We both know you have no alcohol tolerance so stop doing this to yourself already,you can't drink alcohol this much,you know that" Hia added. 

Kairo roughed his hair and rubbed his face,he almost felt like choking her that very moment to ease his anger. 

"Stay away from me Zumi,stay away from me!! He shouted. 

She stepped back,that expression isn't new to her anymore,she knew he was already getting close to his deadly side. 

Kairo swallowed and held his shaking hands tight,his veins became visible as well. 

"Run...go" He told her and got hold of a special knife in the kitchen. 

"Noooo!!!!! You can't do that anymore!!!" Hia shouted and stood in front of her. 

"You can't...you have an identity now! Unless you want to put your twin into trouble,you can't hurt people unnecessarily anymore just to calm yourself down,please" Hia shook her head. 

"You made me angry!!.."

"Then stab me" Hia cut in. 

"Are you trying to test me?" Kairo looked at her. 

"I wouldn't dare,but please" Hia mumbled calmly and started walking close to him,one step at a time. 

She managed to take the knife from him and Kairo raised his brows. 

"Thank you" She sighed. 

Kairo walked out of her sight,pushing her off with his shoulder,she staggered and the knife cut her thumb. 

"Ouch!" She gasped and threw the knife away. 

She washed her bloody hand in the sink and sighed out. 

"What should I do about his temper?" She mumbled to herself. 

*

"Hey!! That's not the spice I was talking about!!" Elena screamed and Saint almost fell as he flinched as a result of her scream. 

Elena laughed out loudly and Saint faced her with a frown. 

They are currently in his kitchen cooking,they haven't even started cooking yet,just preparation of recipe and ingredients but Saint has been shouted at for like twenty times simply because he doesn't even know almost all the ingredients name. 

"What,you don't even know what curry is?" Elena asked in a mocking tone. 

"Of course I know..."

"You were trying to inhale the scent!" Elena laughed. 

"You need to take it easy on me,this is my kitchen,I'm the boss here" Saint raised his finger up. 

"Normally the boss is supposed to be working and I as the apprentice should be watching you,let's switch positions" She said. 

"Don't do that,I will look for the curry" Saint muttered. 

Elena chuckled and shook her head. 

"Here!!" Saint screamed when he finally got it. 

"At last" 

"Appreciate it at least,oh come on,I tried" Saint groaned. 

"Can you chop the onions.. "

"Take it easy on me,I'm allergic to the stings" He muttered and Elena laughed. 

They continue cooking and it was going smoothly with every minutes of jokes and laughter. 

"I want soda" Elena mumbled and walked to the fridge,she took one and stayed there to drink,Saint came over too and tried opening. 

"My head!!" Elena snapped. 

"Why acting like you are actually tall? I mean,stand straight.." He made her stand straight then opened the fridge,and it didn't hit her head. 

"You see?" He asked. 

Elena hit his chest and he chuckled,then looked down at her. 

Elena closed the bottle and lick the juice off her lips,Saint's eyes captured that and he almost lost it. 

"What......are you...." 

She swallowed when he brought his face close,Saint looked at her lips then her eyes like he was asking for permission. 

Elena closed her eyes and held her cloth nervously. 

Saint smiled and was about pressing his lips on her own when Daven came in. 

"Oops,wrong timing" Daven cracked. 

Elena immediately buried her face into Saint's chest. 

Saint and Daven started talking with their eyes. 

Saint: I feel like killing you by chopping your eyes. 

Daven: I love you too. 

Saint's eyes widened. 

"Came to drop your wrist watch,have fun" Daven winked and left just like that. 

Saint looked at Elena. 

"Let's continue" She muttered and left his side. 

Saint ran his fingers into his hair and followed her. 

*

4PM, KAIRO'S PLACE* 

Kian unlocked the door with his palm print and went inside,it was all quiet that he almost thought Kairo wasn't home until he entered the basement. 

Kairo was just sitting and resting his back with headphones on. 

"Hey" Kian removed the headphones and Kairo looked at him.

"When did you get here?"

"Just now" Kian replied and sat down. 

Kairo said nothing. 

"Scylla is meeting up with Kenzo" Kian uttered and Kairo looked at him sharply. 

"Scylla? Why?!" 

"I told you I need to know what really happened,and everyone involved" Kian replied. 

"And the best person you could send is Scylla? Why did you even told her in the first place? Do you trust her that much?" Kairo asked. 

"Yes" Kian replied and Kairo scoffed. 

"I'm betting everything on her,,she would report to me whatever happens,so don't worry...."

Kairo laughed out. 

"F+ck shit,I hate this" He mumbled. 

"You seriously think Jadaline's daughter would go against her mother with evidence? The reason why she's still here is because we have no f+cking evidence to back up our claim! Once it's obvious,you think she will choose you over her family?" 

"I won't doubt her,I will wait until then" Kian replied. 

"Cool" Kairo smiled. 

*

"F+ck off!" Kenzo yelled at a car as he overtook and stepped on the speed aggressively. 

He almost couldn't sleep all night after getting that message from the so called anonymous. 

Firstly,that video mustn't get to Kian,secondly,the truth about their mother's death shouldn't be exposed or everything will get destroyed. 

Reason why he's been trying all his best to act like a brother to Kian,but seems like his niceness and hard work would enter into the mud soon. 

Coz no matter what,he would fight till the end to save the truth from coming out. 

Minutes later,he already drove into an outcast uncompleted building. 

He got out of his car and pushed his gun into his back pocket before going in,,it was totally quiet,only the sounds of birds from the nearest forest could be heard. 

"You're here" The person said behind Kenzo and he turned immediately,he was surprised to see Scylla standing right in front of him. 

"You?" He raised his brows. 

"I'm doing you a favor,I should have sent it directly to Kian" Scylla said and started moving closer. 

Kenzo chuckled and she furrowed her brows,then stopped walking. 

"No,you wouldn't try that" Kenzo chuckled. 

Scylla frowned. 

"Is that a threat?" She asked. 

"No,I'm doing you a favor" Kenzo replied and brought out a stick of cigar. 

"You know...I never actually knew about Kian's father..Mad dog,,but I can't forget his mother's face,never,why? Because she was part of the reason why my mom left us" Kenzo muttered. 

"Hey!!! That doesn't mean you should turn into a monster!! I saw the video!" Scylla yelled. 

Kenzo chuckled and moved closer to her. 

"Let's forget my mom,,who do you think sent me to torture her that way?" He asked in a whisper. 

"Who?" 

"You don't wanna know" Kenzo smiled. 

"Tell me..."

"Jadaline" Kenzo smirked. 

Scylla's eyes widened. 

"That's not possible!! You are a liar! Mother doesn't have any reason to kill her..."

"That was what I thought too" Kenzo smiled and opened his phone instantly. 

He gave it to Scylla to read all their texts. 

"I haven't deleted any cuz of a day like this...you can put the number on your phone and confirm if it's really your mom's number" 

Scylla was almost shaking as she read every conversations,she checked the number,Kenzo was right,it's indeed Jadaline,her mother. 

"No...she...shouldn't have a reason to" Tears rolled down from her eyes. 

"Are you gonna report to your boyfriend? Then he wouldn't just kill me alone..he will kill your precious mother as well. 

Scylla swallowed and gave the phone back to Kenzo. 

"You didn't come here" she said and Kenzo looked at her. 

"What?"

"You didn't show up,we never meet up,all these never happened,leave" She wiped her tears. 

Kenzo chuckled. 

"Didn't know it would be so easy to betray your lover" He grinned. 

"Leave" Scylla glared. 

"Bye" Kenzo winked and walked away. 

Almost immediately,Scylla's phone buzzed,she just got a text from Kian. 

Kian: Hey babe,,how's it? 

Scylla ignored the message and went out,she already sat in her car when Kian sent another one. 

Kian: Did he show up? 

And she simply replied. 

Scylla: No....He didn't show up.
