"I want you to collect that fifteen thousand naira Fiona took from your possession and hand it over to me. Kasarachi that's the only condition in which I will forgive you for pushing me down and insulting me" Aunty Brenda said still smirking mischievously
I chuckled slightly because it all sounded funny to me. I was just wondering who between the two of us insulted the other the most that deserved payment for it....?
"Aunty Brenda are you indirectly asking me to pay for your forgiveness with the only money I have on this earth....?" I asked looking at her unbelievably
"I don't even think that should be hard for you since we've allowed you to stay with us in this house for free. So don't just see it as a price for my forgiveness but rather assume it to be your own contribution for the rent" Aunty Brenda said shrugging her shoulders and sipping from her hollandia yogurt
I folded my hands across my chest and bursted into laughter as I heard her. I shook my head in disbelief before replying to her
"Aunty Brenda I don't know what response to give you right now... because if I actually say what's on my mind...I doubt we'll both sleep peacefully this night. Tell me Aunty if I was to be your biological sister...will you make such insensitive demands of me..?"
"You will never be my sister Kasarachi because she's not wretched-looking like you. So brush your mouth very well before comparing your village self with my city family" Aunty Brenda said hissing loudly
I must admit those words hit me in the most painful way. It made me feel very worthless and broke all the defenses I had left.
I didn't say anything again and turned to walk out from her presence so she wouldn't throw more abusive words at me. I think I've had enough for tonight already.
Aunty Brenda spoke out again which made me halt in my movement and I turned to look at her so I can hear what she has to say
"Anyways Kasarachi there's still another condition left since you don't want to use money to settle our issue. Initially, I wanted to make it just one option but I've changed my mind now. I'll make it two options so you'll choose the one that suits you best"
Honestly I wasn't interested in whatever condition she's talking about or any offer of hers as I've figured it won't be nice as usual
I thought of walking out on her but I realized it is not a good idea at this point in time. No matter how often I try to deny it, Aunty Brenda is still my benefactor and she has a bigger say on who stays in this house.
I don't have anywhere else to go if I'm sent packing from here so I need to respect myself and stop acting stubborn with her.
"What is the other condition Aunty Brenda...? If it's something I can do then I'll do it so that you can forgive me and let me continue staying here" I said very gently
Aunty Brenda patted the space beside her and told me to sit down. I was surprised at the gesture but I did as she instructed, I sat down obediently on the sofa beside her.
She handed me the shawarma in her hands and told me to cut it. She also gave me the chicken and poured the hollandia yogurt into a glass and handed it to me to drink.
I was more surprised now than ever at the whole change in Aunty Brenda's behavior and her sudden kindness towards me to the extent of offering me her food and drink.
Infact if she hadn't joined me in eating the shawarma, chicken and drinking the hollandia yogurt, I wouldn't have accepted the items for fear of being p*¡soned.
The chicken was well prepared and even the shawarma too. It was the first time I was eating them and I enjoyed it very much.
"Do you like them Kasarachi...?" Aunty Brenda asked smiling and I nodded my head in affirmation
"Yes Aunty Brenda. They both taste so yummy especially the chicken...it's spicy and nice. Let me even try the hollandia yogurt and see how it tastes too...." I said joyously and drank from the glass of hollandia yogurt she had given me earlier.
My eyes lit up in excitement as I savored the sweet taste in my mouth.
"...Ah! The yogurt is so sweet and chilled! Thank you very much Aunty for giving me the opportunity to taste them. I appreciate it" I said gratefully as I continued sipping from the yogurt
The glass almost slipped from my hands to the floor and even the yogurt I drank earlier had almost rolled out from my mouth when I heard her next words.
"Kasarachi do you know that I love you very much...? I have always wanted to have a s*xual relationship with you but your behavior towards me kept turning me off. I want to propose an offer today which is my second condition to forgive you. Kasarachi be my lover girl and I promise to spoil you with more of these goodies. I will also make your stay here very easy and enjoyable" Aunty Brenda said seductively and pressed my left brëast that was the closest to her
I was taken aback hearing that since I never expected such a disgusting request so I stood up abruptly as though I was being pursued. Is she crazy or what...? For Christ's sake, I'm a fellow female like her!
"Aunty Brenda did you hear yourself talk...? That I should have a s*xual relationship with you that is a female person like myself....?" I asked stepping away from her
"Of course Kasarachi I recall what I said. Look I've loved you right from the first day you had stepped foot into this house or did you not notice it...? Fiona is the one who warned me to leave you alone since you are still below eighteen years but common...I don't care about all that. Kasarachi you look more mature than your age and you're endowed just exactly as I like them to be" Aunty Brenda said seductively winking at me and I scoffed before replying
"I know you are having something sexual with Aunty Tochi because I have caught you two many times in the bedroom...even though I don't care or understand what exactly you people do. Or am I lying Aunty Brenda...?"
"You're a very smart girl so I'm not surprised that you know about me and Fiona. You're right Fiona and I are lovers and so what...? I mean she has other men beside me so it's not a big deal if I decide to have someone else too" Aunty Brenda said shrugging her shoulders.
I feel she wants to use me to get back at Aunty Tochi for having other s*xual partners beside her. She continued talking after a few seconds of being quiet.
"...moreover we are not going to tell her about our s*xual affair. It's just going to be between us and mainly when she isn't home. And in exchange for pleasuring me I'll spoil you with money and other good stuffs like what you just enjoyed now. Kasarachi just accept my offer and I promise that you will not regret being with me" Aunty Brenda said blowing me a kiss
I circled my right hand over my head and muttered a 'God forbid' under my breath. Then I looked at Aunty Brenda defiantly and gave her my answer
"I can't do such a thing Aunty Brenda. I will rather settle it with money than to commit such a big sin between God and my Aunty"
"Well it's okay Kasarachi. Like I told you earlier...you have the freedom to choose whichever condition you feel suits you best. But if you change your mind...I'm still here waiting. I could even give you a couple of days to think about this...." Aunty Brenda said nonchalantly and I cut her words short
"There's absolutely nothing to think about because I will never do such an abominable thing Aunty Brenda! Instead of doing that....I will collect Aunty Tochi the fifteen thousand naira and give you....if that's your problem" I said in disgust as I walked out from her presence into the kitchen.
Before I walked out of the sitting room completely, I heard Aunty Brenda say spitefully behind me....
"Kasarachi just bear in mind that I love you and I want you for myself. I always get what I crave for and so paying me that money would still not stop me from trying to get you! Except maybe you don't want to stay here again..then fine...you can pack and go!"
Inasmuch as I didn't want to let Aunty Brenda's words get to me, I still couldn't help feeling utterly devastated.
I entered the kitchen and began opening the pots on the counter in search of what to eat that will quench my hunger.
Thankfully I found spaghetti in one of the pots and so I scooped the quantity I could consume onto a plate.
Afterwards I sat down on a low stool in the kitchen and started eating my food slowly.
As I was eating, no matter how hard I tried to silence the thoughts, my mind continued thinking about the whole thing that happened in the sitting room.
I don't know what to do moving forward. I thought of telling Aunty Tochi about what Aunty Brenda requested of me but I'm contemplating if it's a good idea considering their s*xual relationship as lovers.
Soon Aunty Brenda came into the kitchen to drop the plate she had used to eat the chicken. She turned and I actually thought she walked out of the kitchen but she didn't.
It was when everywhere became dark all of a sudden that I figured Aunty Brenda must have been the one who turned off the kitchen light for God knows what reason.
The light switch is situated close to the kitchen door so it's easy for her to turn it off in the guise of walking out.
I ignored everything she did and continued eating my food in the darkness but I had to jerk away from my seat when someone planted a quick kiss on my cheeks.
From the fragrance of the cologne, I knew it was none other than Aunty Brenda! In the darkness she further attempted to put her left hand into my dress to grab my br*asts.
I abruptly dropped my spoon and held her hand from entering my dress while also telling her inaudibly to leave me alone.
In the process of struggling with Aunty Brenda, the food I was eating fell to the ground and made a loud noise.
Out of fear Aunty Brenda stepped a few meters away from me. I was still trying to catch my breath when almost immediately, the kitchen light came on again.
We both looked up curiously and saw Aunty Tochi standing at the door close to the kitchen switch, with her hands at akimbo.
"What's going on here!!!!!" Aunty Tochi blurted out angrily whilst looking from me to Aunty Brenda suspiciously.
Aunty Brenda was standing there with her mouth agape and speechlessly looking at Aunty Tochi.
I'm not a mind reader so I don't know what was going through Aunty Tochi's mind. For me, I was just contemplating if I should use this opportunity to expose what Aunty Brenda was asking me to do with her....
I'm confused on the right thing to do now. What explanation should I give to Aunty Tochi to rule out her suspicion...? Or should I tell her the truth or I should keep quiet....?
