The palace was usually a quiet and serious place. But now, it was buzzing with excitement. The Alpha Prince, had found his mate, and the news had spread like wildfire. Everyone in the pack was talking about it.
Inside the palace, the maids were busy preparing a big feast to celebrate. They were rushing around, their smiles widening as they set tables, cooked food, and made sure everything was perfect. The smell of roasting meats and fresh delicious soup filled the air, making everyone's mouth water.
The palace was filled with happy noises - laughter, music, and the clinking of dishes. The pack members were all chatting and smiling, their faces shining with excitement. The walls of the palace, once dull and grey, now seemed to glow with happiness.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange light over the palace, the pack members started to gather in the grand hall.
The hall was decorated with colorful streamers and balloons, and a big banner that read:
"Congratulations to the Alpha Prince and his mate!"
Inside Odessa's suite,Genny was trying on a dress,it's the third dress she's trying out,and even though everything look so beautiful and expensive,still Odessa wasn't satisfied,she kept on ordering the dresser to get more.
Genny stared at herself in the mirror after she finished wearing the red dress,the dress was a stunning masterpiece, perfectly tailored to accentuate her curves as if they knew she was going to be the wearing it.
The vibrant scarlet hue seemed to glow in the light, drawing all eyes to her. The dress was made of a luxurious silk material that hugged her body, showcasing her toned physique. The fitted bodice highlighted her tiny waist, while the flowing skirt fell in soft folds to the floor, creating a dramatic effect. The dress was adorned with intricate gold embroidery, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication. As Genny moved, the dress shimmered and shined, making her look like a true princess.
"I love this one" Odessa finally said and Genny smiled.
"I love it too" She said.
"We are taking this one,you can leave" Odessa ordered and all the maids,including the dresser left.
"I still...can't believe this. Are these really necessary? It's so sudden that I'm almost convinced that I'm dreaming,I never imagined this all my life,I'm just...."
"Who said this is not necessary? Do you know how long everyone has been anticipating for the prince's mate? He's not just a wolf Genny,He's the future alpha,so definitely everyone's too excited right now,this is a festival on it's own,and honestly,I'm so happy it's you!!" Odessa hugged her tightly and Genny smiled.
"I can't even explain how I'm feeling right now,it's like a dream" She said.
"You know when there will be double celebration? Tomorrow...your first shift,infact,we are celebrating all week,all week" Odessa said and they both hugged each other again.
Odessa got dressed too and finally they both walked out of the suite,they were led toward the dinning hall by a guard and Genny wouldn't deny that she was nervous,really nervous.
As Odessa and Genny entered the grand dining hall, they were met with a sumptuous feast. The long tables were laden with an array of delectable dishes, each one more tantalizing than the last. Platters of juicy meats - roasted venison, savory beef, and tender lamb - filled the air with their mouthwatering aromas. Steaming bowls of hearty stews and soups, made with the freshest vegetables and herbs, sat alongside platters of crispy fried fish and succulent roasted fowl.
The tables were also groaning under the weight of an abundance of fruits, nuts, and cheeses, carefully selected to satisfy the pack's diverse tastes. The centerpiece of the table was a majestic roasted boar, its crispy skin glistening in the light, surrounded by a medley of savory pies and pastries.
The Alpha and Luna, resplendent in their finery, sat at the head of the table, flanked by Thane and the Pack elders. The shaman, wise and venerable, sat at the far end, a gentle smile on her face as he surveyed the gathering.
"Oh here comes the beautiful mate" Luna Liyani stood up immediately and went to hug Genny.

Genny greeted the alpha also before settling beside Thane who immediately held her hand as If he's been waiting for that and he was controlling himself.
Genny's cheeks turned red.
"Seriously son,who marks their mate as soon as they find her?" Alpha Raven asked and everyone laughed as they saw the mark on Genny.
"The moon goddess might be chasing clout" Thane replied and they laughed again.
Alpha took the first bite and everyone started eating also,conversation flying across the room.
Genny was trying so hard to comport herself,she have never dreamt about sitting and eating on the same table with royalties,but she's here. This is crazy,really crazy!!
The feast dinner lasted about an hour before everyone started dismissing.
Odessa and Genny left Thane there who was saying a final goodbye to the elders who came,as Odessa was talking happily on their way to her room,the only thing Genny was thinking about was Thane,she was missing him even though they are in the same place.
"Dessa" They suddenly heard Thane's voice at the back and Genny turned first,almost immediately.
"She's sleeping with me brother,don't think of taking her away" Odessa said.
"But we can at least spend time together before she come back to you to sleep right?" Thane asked.
"Well yeah,she will meet you after changing her dress,let's go Genny" Odessa grabbed Genny's hand and took her away.
They entered her room and she immediately rushed to her closet.
"I'm getting you a sexy nightie" She grinned.
"What?" Genny was confused.
"Are you asking me that right now? You need to look sexy,so he will go crazy and just eat you raw" Odessa smirked.
"Stop!" Genny screamed.
"But your cheeks are red" Odessa laughed.
"I thought you said I'm not sleeping there" Genny muttered.
"So you agree?" Odessa flashed her a smile.
"Honestly....I feel so small right now" Genny mumbled.
"Small? Why? Because you haven't shifted yet?" Odessa asked and Genny nodded.
"I understand how you feel,but my brother doesn't even care. But then let's just wait for sexiness till tomorrow,I will get you a cute pyjamas instead" Odessa said and Genny smiled.
"Thanks"

THANE'S SUITE*
The door opened and Thane turned,As Genny entered Thane's room, she was taken aback by the sight before her. Thane stood shirtless, his chiseled chest and broad shoulders on full display. His muscles flexed as he moved, and his piercing eyes seemed to see right through her.
Genny's mouth went dry as she gazed at him, her eyes tracing the contours of his chest. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her heart raced with excitement. She bit her lips,trying to hide her flushed face when suddenly she found herself in Thane's arms,his hand was wrapped around her waist.
Genny gasped with wide eyes,how..how did that happened?
"I don't like people keeping me waiting,especially what's mine" He said sn Genny swallowed.
"I didn't mean to,I was just...."
"Drooling so bad" Thane completed it and she blushed.
"But don't worry,I'm all yours,you can stare as much as you want" Thane added and she gently hugged him.
Thane smiled and hugged her too.
"Are you happy it's me?" She asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" Thane asked,inhaling her fresh sweet scent.
"What if...it was someone else?" Genny asked and Thane broke the hug.
"I was missing you so badly,that was why Odessa brought me here...i've been thinking about you and I was at the poimt of telling you how much I like you,and now this happened...I just imagined,what if it wasn't me? What if I'm not your mate? I don't think I can bear it,watching you being all lovey over another girl,I don't want to imagine that" Genny shook her head.
"Really? Maybe the moon goddess heard your prayers" Thane said and cupped her cheeks.
*She smell so good!!!! Looking at her closely this way,what are you waiting for? Kiss her hard and make her lips swollen already! I'm dying here* Thorne groaned and Thane almost laughed.
"You don't have to imagine anything like that,you're my mate and that's the end" He told Genny and she smiled.
"Then,I can kiss you anytime I want??" She asked.
*I don't mind even having sex every second* Thorne said and Thane had to block him off immediately.
"That horny wolf" He mumbled and Genny raised her brows,she didn't hear him.
"You can kiss me anytime,whatever you want" Thane said and immediately Genny slammed her lips on his own.Then, with a soft growl, Thane's mouth alos claimed hers, his lips devouring hers in a passionate kiss.
Their tongues entwined, dancing in a sensual rhythm. Genny's hands instinctively wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer as she melted into his embrace. Thane's arms encircled her, holding her tight as he deepened the kiss.
They broke the kiss and Thane kissed her neck,the mark he gave her.
"I like it" Genny blushed.
"Me too" Thane smiled and pulled her into a warm embrace.
"I honestly don't want to let you go,but you need to take a rest,tomorrow is going to be tiring...I can't wait for your first shift" Thane said and broke the hug.
"I heard it's always painful" Genny mumbled.
"I will stay right beside you and take the pain away" Thane said and Genny chuckled.
She pecked his lips again.
"Goodnight" She said.
"I won't let you go tomorrow night,remember that" Thane told her.
"Can't wait" She smiled and ran out.
Thane bit his lips and fell on the bed,wild smile playing on his lips.

THE NEXT NIGHT*
The full moon festival night had descended upon the pack, and the atmosphere was electric with joy and celebration. The entire town was aglow with laughter and music, as werewolves in their human forms danced and sang together. The streets were filled with the savory smells of food and drinks, and the sound of clinking glasses and cheerful chatter filled the air.
As the night wore on, some of the younger wolves began to feel the call of the moon, their bodies starting to shift for the first time. The pack elders watched with proud smiles as the young ones embraced their true nature, their fur bursting forth in a flurry of excitement.
In the palace, the festivities were even more grand. The halls were adorned with colorful streamers and lanterns, and the sound of laughter and music echoed off the walls. Guests from other packs had come to join in the celebration, and the atmosphere was one of unity and merriment.
The Alpha, resplendent in his finest attire, raised a glass in a toast to the pack's prosperity, as other royalties and elders joined in. The palace was filled with the sounds of happy chatter and clinking glasses, as wolves of all ages celebrated the magic of the full moon.
As the night wore on, the palace became a whirlwind of activity, with pups finding their mates and the pack's future being secured.
Odessa climbed down the stairs in her pretty dress,she's been restless,meeting a lot of pups from different packs as the Luna instructed,she have to put on the smiley face no matter what,she's a princess anyway.
She suddenly saw the familia figure standing just at the end of the staircase,as if he heard her thought,he turned and faced her also.
"Orion" Odessa smiled at him,staring at how handsome he was looking tonight.
"Hey" Orion smiled,dropping the wine glass in his hand on a table nearby.
"Why are you here? Where's the Beta?" Odessa asked.
"Dinning with the alpha already,it's all boring and I've not seen Thane either" Orion replied,Odessa finally stopped in front of him.
"I'm actually tired already,I went upstairs to take a little rest" She said.
"Wanna hang out a little bit? Sage just arrived in the palace but I've not seen Beorn" Orion said and Odessa shook her head.
"What if I suddenly attract someone?" She asked and Orion chuckled.
"You can't run away from that forever,you know it's not compulsory you get a mate today right? It might be tomorrow" Orion said and she laughed. .
"I've greeted almost everyone in the palace and nothing happened,maybe it's not really my time yet,maybe he's still far away" Odessa said.
"Same here" Orion nods.
"Or maybe he's close to me and something is being a hindrance" Odessa muttered,staring at Orion who raised his brows.
Odessa grabbed his hand.
"Actually,I spoke with the Shaman who helped Thane,,I asked her if it's possible and she said it is....if we haven't discovered our mate bond yet,it's possible our wolves doesn't feel each other...."
"Odessa,what are you talking about?" Orion asked.
"We might be each others mate,that's what I'm saying"
"What? You and I?" Orion asked.
"Why don't we visit her on our own? Am I the only one going crazy here? Am I so desperate that I just want you? I don't know how to control what I'm feeling,I just....."
Orion grabbed her waist and pulled her close,Odessa inhaled,staring at his lips as if she would devour,she swallowed hard.
"Orion" She called.
"Let's do whatever you want,,if you're right,then......"
She kissed him before he finished,she cupped his cheeks,moving faster as Orion started kissing her back in the same pace too,his grip tightened around her waist.
They broke the kiss and Odessa's cheeks flushed,Orion smiled.
"Let's do that more" She said and Orion chuckled.
"Do you have any idea where Thane and Genny would be?" Orion asked.
Odessa suddenly gasped and their eyes widened at once.
"Her first shift!" They both said together.

Sage was standing somewhere alone from all the noise,he could have sworn he wouldn't attend the festival if only his parents didn't force him and now it's totally boring because he haven't set his eyes on Beorn since he arrived,even though it's just few minutes ago.
He suddenly caught a glimpse of Beorn's father,sitting together with the pack elders,He's one of them. Even though it might look kind of disrespectful,Sage didn't care,he walked over to him.
"Father" He called and bowed.
"Sage! How are you" The old man asked warmly.
"I'm fine...."
"Looking for Beorn?"
"I just came to say Hello,but I don't mind if you tell me where he is" Sage said,making the man laugh.
"He's with some friends lightning up the sky lantern"
"Thank you father" Sage smiled,why haven't he thought about it since?
Sage made his way to the side of the palace, where the teenage wolves were gathered, their laughter and excitement filling the air.
The young wolves were having the time of their lives, chasing each other through the gardens, playing games, and sharing stories. Some were trying to impress their crushes, while others were simply enjoying the freedom of the full moon festival.
Sage scanned the crowd, her eyes searching for Beorn. He spotted him,but he wasn't alone,not like Sage was expecting him to be alone,he paused,watching Beorn who was with another unfamiliar boy,definitely not from the their pack.
Sage had a blank expression on his face as he watched Beorn laughing and chatting with the boy. The boy's arm was slung over Beorn's shoulder, holding him close as they conversed. Beorn's face lit up with a radiant smile, and he didn't seem to mind the other boy's affectionate grip.
Sage let out a scoff and moved closer,Beorn finally saw him.
"Oh,Sage you're here" He said and made to walk over to him.
"Hey,you're not planning to leave me right? You're the only one I know here" The boy pulled Beorn back.
"So what?" Sage snapped and the boy looked at him.
"What,who are you?" He asked.
Sage ignored the question and grabbed Beorn's hand.
"Let's go" He muttered,taking him away.
"What,is something wrong?" Beorn asked.
"I've been searching for you,why is that dude so annoying?" Sage scoffed and Beorn laughed.
"Really? Are you jealous?" He teased in an unserious voice.
"Yes I am...happy now?" Sage said and Beorn raised his brows.
"I was joking,why taking it personal" He scoffed.
"Who said I'm taking it personal" Sage muttered but Beorn was already saying something else.
"How about lightning a lantern together? To celebrate" He said and stopped walking,just along the silent passage way,as if to turn back.
"Celebrate what?" Sage asked.
"No mates....for now" Beorn grinned and Sage chuckled.
"Don't let our parents hear that" He said and Beorn laughed.
"Let's celebrate it differently" Sage said and hugged him.
"This is enough" He said and tap his back loudly.
Beorn kissed his cheek and he broke the hug immediately.
"Hey....."
Beorn kissed his cheek again and ran off,laughing out.
Sage touched his cheek,the spot where Beorn kissed and bit his lips,supressing his smile.

COURT YARD*
Genny was hugging Thane tightly,her heart beat racing more than usual,she was feeling so uneasy and uncomfortable,it was as if her bones were about coming out of her body.
"I feel so hot,it hurts" Genny said in tears.
"You have to endure the pain,I know how it feels like,but it will be over as soon as the shifting ends,trust me,I will be here" Thane said and broke the hug,moving backward,giving her space,and almost immediately the shift started.
At first, it was just a tingling in her fingers and toes. Then her heart began to race, pounding in her chest like a drum. Her vision blurred, and her skin itched as if her body was trying to shed its own skin.
But as the transformation took hold, the sensations intensified. Her muscles cramped and spasmed, her bones feeling like they were breaking and reforming. Her skin burned as if it was on fire, her nerves screaming in agony.
Thane swallowed,watching as she struggled in pain,he was wishing he could really stop her from feeling the pain.
Genny fell to her knees, her body contorting in ways that seemed impossible. She screamed, the sound torn from her throat as her body was reshaped into something new.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, her screams subsided.
Thane let out a smile as he stared at the little pretty wolf, its fur a Moonlight Silver color,its eyes gleaming yellow in the moonlight. She let out a weak howl, her voice barely audible as she collapsed onto the floor, exhausted and spent.
Ten minutes later.....Genny opened her eyes and found herself in Thane's suite,on the bed. She was back In her human form. The room was empty as she looked around.
*Finally someone's awake* She heard the voice in her head and she could feel goosebumps all over her...is that...her wolf??!!!
*Yes that's me!* The creature chuckled.
*Nice meeting you,I'm Genny* Genny smiled.
*I know,you only need my name*
*So...what's the name??*
*Tonith*
*Nice meeting you! I'm so happy,finally you're talking to me and not just snapping* Genny said.
*I see you became wiser after the shift* Tonith said and Genny blinked.
*Sorry,just kidding* Tonith said and Genny laughed.
Thane finally entered and as usual,as If that's his normal style,he was shirtless.
"You're awake" he smiled,drying his wet hair,he just had his bath.
Genny nodded,staring at him,she was about speaking up but Tonith beat her to it.
* He's so hot!..Oh la la...Daddy!" Tonith said in a naughty voice and Genny's eyes widened.
