Myles's eyes narrowed as Jennifer started kissing his lips, he was so shocked that he couldn't even push her away. He didn't return the kiss, he just stood still like a statue.
His eyes kept blinking as she trapped him on the door.
Jennifer noticed the shock and surprise on his face, and she slowly broke the kiss.
She moved back a bit, looking at him.
He was standing there with a puzzled expression etching on his handsome face.
His face was blank, void of any expression as he kept staring at her. He couldn't believe she could do that.
"Myles" she called slowly, looking into his eyes.
"I'm sor..." she was yet to complete her statement when Myles opened the door and rushed out.
"F*ck!" she groaned, holding her head in her palms.
"Why did I even do that? He might start taking me as someone who's cheap, I messed up" she said, sighing.
"What really came over you Jennifer?" she groaned.

"What am I thinking, I shouldn't have done that, I....I don't know" she said and went to sit on the couch.

The security guards at the gate allowed Everest into the mansion immediately they saw him.
This is the first time he will be coming to her mansion.
He looked at the glamourous and lucrative mansion and he sighed.
"Money is good" he muttered, making his way to the door.
He stood at the door and pressed the doorbell.
The door opened after a minute and her face appeared.
"Everest" she called happily.
"Miss Paige" he called and she frowned.
"Paige" he chuckled and she smiled.
"Come in" she said and took his hand, pulling him inside. She closed the door and faced him.
"You seem so excited to see me" he said.
"I miss..." she almost said she missed him but she quickly stopped herself.
"We're friends now right?" she smiled and he nodded.
They walked to the living room together and he could say money is the real name of the mansion.
He sat down on a couch.
"What can I offer you?" she asked, smiling.
"Juice" he looked up as he gave her a reply.
"I'm coming" she said and walked away.
Everest couldn't stop staring around, to be rich is the best thing in life.
She came back with the cup of juice and gave it to him.
"Thank you" he said before collecting it.
"So about what you called me here" he said, drinking the juice.
"Here" she sat down beside him and opened the laptop on the table.
"I'm trying to extend my branches, I'm thinking of getting the best places" she said.
"Do you have any place in mind?" he asked, dropping the juice on the table.
"Yes, I have the pictures here" she said and started pressing the laptop.
"Here" she turned the laptop to him.
He took the laptop and started staring at the places. He looked up after a minute.
"Paris, Chicago and Germany are the best places to establish your branches" he said, taking his juice to sip.
"It didn't take you more than a minute to select the best places, I envy your smartness" she said and he smiled.
"You will be in charge of the establishment"
"Huh! Me?" he asked.
"You are my secretary" she replied and he nodded.
"That's all right?" he asked.
"Sure" she replied.
"I will be leaving now" he said and tried standing up but Paige hugged him immediately.
"Paige" he called.
"Don't go please" she said.
"Why?" he asked.
"It will be boring, just spend an hour with me" she said and he sighed.
"Please, please Everest" she said in a tiny voice.
"You are using a tiny voice because you think I will listen to you?" he said.
"I...I don't know" she replied.
"Okay, I'm not leaving, can you break the hug?" he said.
"I want to hug you for five minutes, please" she said, hugging tightly.
"Fine" he muttered and she smiled.
THE KENNEDY*
Myles got home and was sitting in the living room, he didn't meet his grandma at home, she went out to check on a friend.
His mind was on the kiss and no matter how hard he was trying to forget about it he couldn't stop himself from thinking about it.
He touched his lips for the third time and sighed softly.
"Why did she do that?" he mumbled.
"I'm not even angry about it" he said, roughing his hair.

She stared at the number for fifteen minutes, she was about to drop her phone when her finger mistakenly dialed the number.
She kept looking at the screen as the number started ringing.
Her heart was beating fast as she looked at the screen till he answered.
"Sloane" he called cheerfully.
"Newton" she called in a low voice.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"I'm fine" she replied.
"Can we...go..out and... have ice cream?" she asked with difficulty
"What is up with the stuttering, I don't bite" he said and she smiled.
"So about what I said..."
"I'm sorry next time, I'm going out with Michelin.."
"It's fine" she interrupted.
"I'm sorry.. I will.."
"I don't need an explanation from you, enjoy" she cut him off and hung up.
"It was a bad idea to call him in the first place" she said, having mixed feelings.
She bit her lips, feeling somehow hurt.
MONDAY, JENNIFER'S CASTLE*
Jennifer came out in a flowing gown looking so hot in her red high heels, she was holding a Gucci bag in her hand, she was smiling like money, she always smell like money, it's not a new thing.
Myles was already waiting for her beside the car.
She nodded at guards' greeting till she got to the new car she got last week Sunday.
"Good morning" he greeted simply.
"Good morning" she replied, feeling the distance in his voice.
"Are you alright?" she asked.
"I'm fine" he replied and opened the door for her.
She looked at him for a minute before entering the car.
She knew why he was behaving this way, because of the kiss on Saturday.
He closed the door and entered the driver seat.
He started the car and drove out.
Jennifer kept trying to start a conversation with him in the car but he kept giving her cold shoulders, it's either he will not respond or he will say short words, she got tired and stopped but inwardly she was greatly disturbed.

It was time for lunch and Everest just finished working on the files, he dropped it on the table and released a low groan.
"Everest" Vivian showed up with a smile.
"Vivi" he said
"You didn't call me throughout the weekend" she said.
"I should have called you in the spirit world, I don't have your number" he said and she smiled.
"That's true, let's exchange contact" she said.
He nodded and gave her his phone, she typed her number on his phone and dialed it, it rang on her phone.
"I love your phone" she said.
"Stop the flattery" he said and they laughed.
"Are you not going for lunch?" she asked.
"I'm, you want to go with me?" he replied and she nodded.
"Yes" she replied and he stood up.
"Let's go" he said and just as they were about to take the elevator.
Everest heard his name from behind and he looked back to see Paige.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"For lunch" he replied.
"Alone?"
"With Vivian" he replied.
"It's not allowed" she said and Vivian looked at her.
"Huh!" Vivian mouthed and Paige faced her.
"You have a problem with that?" Paige asked.
"No" she shook her head.
"You can go Vivian" Paige said and Vivian bit her lips, she looked at Everest before leaving, feeling pissed off.
"What's that for?" he turned to her.
"You are not allowed to go out for lunch with anyone except me" she said and he came closer.
"Why?" he asked.
"Cos you are my secretary, I don't want to be sharing your attention with my staff" she replied.
"Are you feeling jealous now?" he asked.
"Jealous?" she scoffed.
"Stop overthinking, I'm just protecting you from those ladies"
"Protecting a 24 year old guy, wow, that's an honor" he chuckled.
"I'm hungry" she said.
"So?" he asked.
"You are going to eat lunch with me" she said and he came closer, closing the space between them.
"Everest" she whispered and he smiled widely.
"You are pretty Miss Paige Everton" he winked and started walking away.
Paige tried so hard not to blush but she ended up blushing.
THE ROYALS*
Myles came into the office and Jennifer stood up from her desk, walking to him.
"You called for me" he said without looking at her face.
"You are avoiding me, is it because of the kiss?" she asked.
"I'm not avoiding you" he said, looking at her.
She came closer to him but shifted back.
"What do you think you are doing?" he asked.
"I'm sorry about what I did yesterday, I don't know what came over me" she said.
"You should have controlled yourself, I didn't expect that from you, you acted so cheap, you acted like a slut, I can't believe you stole my first kiss, are you that cheap or what?" he snapped, shouting before he even realized it but it was too late.
There was a flash in Jennifer's eyes showing how his words hurt her.
"Yes, I'm cheap, I'm a slut, I couldn't control myself that day but do you have to say it to my face, do you?" she asked and surprisingly tears came out of her eyes.
