Immediately I saw how angry Harper looked as she glared at me with hatred written boldly on her face. I quickly got up from the chair.
“Who told you that you can eat with us on the same dining table? Who do you think you are?” She yelled at me, approaching me faster.
Sniffing hard, I mumbled. “I was told it's the…”
“Shut your mouth. Who said you can talk when I'm not done talking, silly?”
This time, she raised her hand to slap me, and I shut my eyes in panic. My eyes were still closed for a few seconds, but I got no slap on my cheek.
Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw her hand in the air. That was when I noticed Alpha Atlas was standing behind her and holding her wrist, preventing her from slapping.
Furrowing her brows, she turned to look at him confused. “My Alpha?”
“She is mine. You have no right to lay a finger of yours on her.” His hoarse voice frightened me.
Harper snorted. “Atlas, don't you see why I'm angry with her? She came to the dining table to eat with us. That's absurd!”
“With my permission.” He snapped at her.
She freaked out. “What?”
“Harper, I gave her the permission to eat with us. Is that too hard for you to accept?” Alpha Atlas signaled me to sit down, and I sat reluctantly.
Clenching her fist, Harper glared at me before talking. “Why would you do that, Atlas? She's not our Pack member, and shouldn't be here.”
“You don't get to tell me who is or is not our Pack member. As a matter of fact, from now onwards, Allison is now a full member of the Cold Moon Pack.” He announced.
Tears of joy filled my eyes. Of course, I never thought I would be addressed as a member of a Pack without being called a slave. “Thank you, my Alpha.”
I went on my knees immediately. The joy I was having was overwhelming.
With a smirk, he turned his gaze away. Without being told, I knew he wanted me to get up, which I did immediately. The food was served and I sat down.
On the other hand, Harper sat angrily. She was obviously burning up with rage. She kept toying with the food with her cutlery, and stood up after a few minutes to leave.
“Where are you going, Harper?” Atlas asked anxiously.
She replied. “I lost my appetite.”
With that, she walked upstairs. I heaved a sigh of relief. Seeing her leave made me eat well, at least because her glaring eyes didn't let the food digest in peace. I was so uncomfortable with her at the dining table.
“Oh, God! I just hope I don't get new enemies. I'm so tired of it.” I thought within myself and continued eating.

“No good news yet, Alpha.”
This was the one hundredth time Alpha Marcus was hearing those words. It's always a no success all the time.
He gritted his teeth. “Get lost!”
Alpha Marcus rubbed his forehead with palms as disappointment was written all over his face. It's almost a whole week since they started searching for Allison, but there has been no trace of her.
He walked into the bathroom, and stood in front of the mirror. Just then, his eyeballs turned red, and his wolf appeared in the mirror in front of him.
“A**hole! You caused all of this. Allison was our fated mate, but you lost her all because of pride.” The wolf spoke to him.
He sighed. “I did what, I thought, would make her want me more. Who would have known that it wouldn't work?”
“I warned you, but you never listened to me. I told you we were going to regret this, and it didn't take long for it to happen.”
“What do you want me to do? I'm trying my best… I can't even hold it on anymore. Furthermore, I'm doing all I can just to find her, but she seems to have disappeared into the thin air.” Marcus lamented.
The wolf shook its head. “Are you going to back down? She's our fated mate, a**hole.”
“I will think of something. She can't disappear into the thin air. I must find her.”
With that, he walked to the shower and turned it on with his shirt still on.
At Natalie's bedroom, she sat on the bare ground with an hourglass in front of her. She kept smiling mischievously as she watched the sand on the upper part of the hourglass run down fast to the lower part.
“Tick… Tock! Tick… Tock!” She laughed hysterically.
The maid smirked. “It's just a matter of time, Miss Natalie, and all your wishes will be granted. You'll become the Luna of Night Wind Pack, and your obstacle will be removed from the surface forever.”
“I think it's taking forever. I just can't wait to get that obstacle out of my way.” She clenched her fist.
Meanwhile, at the Cold Moon Pack house, in Alpha Atlas's chamber, Beta Jackson walked in with a glass containing a dark mixture of herbs. He dropped the glass on the table in front of the Alpha, who was busy going through some files.
“Aunt Maggie prepared this for you.” Beta Jackson said.
Alpha Atlas ignored him, and cleared his throat before speaking. “She's my fated mate.”
“What?”
He continued. “Allison is my fated mate.”
“How are you so sure, my Alpha?” Beta Jackson asked anxiously.
“Last night, she came into my room drunk. I was already in my night form when she came in. On seeing my look, she became so scared, but then she fell into my arms, and…” He paused.
Beta Jackson became even more worried. “And what, Alpha?”
He sighed. “And I quickly transformed back to my normal self. Last night, I slept without transforming into a beast as usual. Just her being by my side made me sleep well and not transform.”
“Congratulations, Alpha. You finally found her after so many years of waiting in vain.” Beta Jackson smiled.
Without a single smile, Alpha Atlas continued. “I'm worried. Why can't she feel the mate bond? How come she still doesn't know that we are mated to each other?”
