Alexander's POV
Being with Alice brings out another person hiding inside me, someone I thought had long disappeared. I knew that person once existed and was now awakened by Alice.
No matter how hard I tried to keep my composure, her laughter had the power to make me do the opposite of what I intended. I wanted her, but I didn't want her to change me. I'd become too accustomed to my life, and I doubted I could live a normal one.
After watching another movie about vampires, her head dropped on my shoulder. There was a calming effect to it, and I started feeling sleepy. I was actually feeling sleepy. For a long, long time, I hadn't felt sleepy, and I was afraid it would result in another nightmare. I didn't want her to know how vulnerable I became after each nightmare, how I could get scared.
The sleepiness was overwhelming, and soon, I was asleep.
I opened my eyes when Alice lifted her head from my lap. I slept? How come? Why wasn't there a nightmare? Why did I enjoy the sleep?
The first thing I saw was Alice's smiling face. How could she be so cheerful in the morning?
She sat up, muttering, "Good morning," to me with her usual bright smile. "How was your night?"
It was surprisingly good. No nightmares.
The only thing I felt was neck pain from how I'd slept, but apart from that, I was better than good. "Not bad."
She didn't have to know that she could chase away my nightmares. She might get proud, and I didn't want that. She already had the power to make me smile and laugh, and the last thing I wanted was for her to be proud.
"I'll tell the maid to prepare breakfast for us; go shower." Her gentle voice warmed my heart, and I smiled.
"Yes, ma'am," was my reply. I stood up from the sofa and headed to the stairs.
I didn't head to the shower right away; instead, I sat down on my bed to check something on my laptop. It didn't take more than ten minutes to finish what I was doing, so I finally went to shower.
Coming out of the bathroom, I noticed that Alice was in my room. Her green pupils swept all over my body. Seeing her eyes clouded with lúst made me want her even more.
I asked her, my voice suddenly hoarse due to this hot-looking girl in a hoodie standing in front of me, "Are you done?"
"Huh?" She sounded absentminded, her eyes glued to my abs.
That brought a smile to my face. I'd seen many women lust after me, but it was never reciprocated.
Christ, I was becoming a puppet to Alice, and I loved it, unsurprisingly.
"Are you done eye-rà ping me?" I asked, and her eyes snapped onto mine.
Scoffing, she folded her arms across her chest. "What?" I glanced at her clothed body and imagined how it would look when it wasn't. "I wasn't eye-rà ping you, okay? You're not that handsome."
That was a lie, and even a deaf man could hear it. She wasn't a good liar at all.
I walked to her with a self-pride smirk on my face, humming softly. She was the first person to tell me I wasn't handsome while she'd just finished eating me up with her eyes.
"You're lying," I stated, pinning her to the nearby wall. She gasped. Caressing her cheek with the back of my thumb, she bit her lower lip. "Your body reacts to me, so that's a big lie, Kitten." That action shut her up for a minute. My thumb subconsciously moved to get her lips, removing her bottom lip from its attackers. "Don't do that."
"What?" She asked, barely saying anything.
"Your lips," I replied. "Don't bite your lips."
"Why?"
I opened my mouth to tell her, but I got an even better idea. I leaned in to her neck, peppering kisses on it. She finally moanéd, and I immediately wanted to fúck her against the wall.
My body reacted a lot to that little moà n she gave, but I controlled myself.
Why? I don't know; I just did.
"Today is Monday, Kitten," I informed her like it was important when it wasn't. The only important thing now was satisfying my dÃck that was yearning to be inside her. "I need to go to work."
"You look funny when you are angry, Minx," I added when her face fell into a frown. I didn't like that; I wanted her usual smile. "Like that woman in the movie."
She scrunched up her face, saying to my face, "I haté you."
"No, you don't."
"And how would you know that?"
Another smile crossed my face as I leaned in to her. She closed her eyes as I whispered into her ear. "If you hatéd me, then your body wouldn't want me as it does. You should work on your lying skills, Princess." Her breathing rose and fell with her shoulders due to my effect. Involuntarily, I bit her earlobe. "See? Liar."
I had already lied that I had to go to work, so I had to prepare to go. Hesitating, I walked backward to my walk-in closet. I threw a wink at her before shutting the door.
Oh, how I wished I could shut the doors on what Alice makes me feel too.
No, I wanted it. I wanted to feel everything Alice makes me feel. I wanted it, and I wouldn't resist it anymore, not like I was doing a good job resisting it.
Alice was a friend... a friend I wanted and would get.
