THROUGH THE SHADOW
Through The Shadow-Episode 10
Theme: The Fiery Boss Lady
Written by Angel Louis

    💅Two weeks Later💅

"You are FIRED!!!!!!" Louisa shouted. Stamping her fist on the desk.

"No Boss... please. Don't"  the male worker fell on his knees.

But Louisa wasn't in the mood for any of his plea.

"I don't wanna waste my money paying a bunch of fools for wasting my resources!

Common sense would have told you that those goods ducked in that warehouse about a year old now was to be sold first at a cheaper rate before the newly made ones.

Now this company has had another loss of goods worth thousands of dollars.

What do you have to say about that huh? Sorry? Mercy?
I should tamper justice with mercy? Who the hell is Mercy?

Now get out of my office before I lose it!" Louisa stormed fiercely in finality.

The man knew his boss's mind was made up already.
To avoid what's gonna happen next to him. He scrambled out of her office without looking back.

"Bunch of Incompetent Fools!" She spat out.
Louisa felt frustrated. If it were to be other Managers, they would cry for such a great loss.

But Louisa didn't shed a tear. She swallowed in the hardness and sighed in frustration.

Louisa doesn't cry, she smiles with no one and everyone knows the fiery Boss lady for that.

Look what that bastard has cost her company. Such great loss.  Such amount of Money wasted.

She had fired one two days ago for incompetence. The lady wasn't able to give account of what she bought.
No receipts to show for it. Louisa tagged her a criminal and fired her.
Now this? Her company is deteriorating every day with poor intellectual workers.
"Where the hell did I pick them from?" She burged.

She need good and brilliant workers. Smart ones. She has to do something about this.
LINTEL won't crumble in her time.

"Mrs Dawkins!!" She yelled. Lighting her cigarette.

Mrs Dawkins whose office was next to Louisa's hurried down to answer her.

"Yes Boss" she beckoned.

"I am sure that as the secretary of this company, you are damn aware of it's great loss"
Louisa took a drag and blew out. Swaying aimlessly on her seat.

"Yes Boss. I'm really sorry Ma. please you don't have to fire me. I know I haven't been doing my best at least I have tried. I have bunch of files on my table which I need to attend to.

I was really not concentrated on the..." Mrs Dawkins kept ranting on and on.
Louisa just stared bluntly at her. Busy with her cig.

".....I have a family and this is the only source we feed on. My husband is...

"Damn your husband woman. I never asked for your shitful explanations" Louisa rolled her eyes.

"And who said anything about firing you?" She paused again taking a long drag from her cigarette as Mrs Dawkins breath down. Hands on her chest.

"What do you want of Me Miss Sullivan" she asked formally.

"Now to the point. I really don't know how the fuck I employed those dafts. I'm really not happy about it. For chrissake we are supposed to be making progress Mrs Dawkins"
Louisa sat properly looking so worried she dropped her cigarette.

" I am really sorry about the trends Miss Sullivan. I'll definitely see to it that everything is brought back to shape. I promise"

" That's not good enough" Louisa jerked causing Mrs Dawkins to arch her brow.

"Go now and send words to the best branch at Philippines. I'm sure they are the best of all branches. Tell them I need the two best workers there ASAP!" Louisa sat aback and swayed slowly on her seat.

"Yes miss Sullivan" she genuflected and turned to leave.

But soon she stopped when something struck her mind. Turning back to Glance at Louisa.

"Why the look? Don't you know the way out of my office?" She asked with a fuss.

"I do but something just came up"

"What's that?" Louisa furrowed her brow at her.

"Philippines is really one of the best branches of all. But don't you think taking away two of it's best workers would cause great lapses?" She asked, her eyes fixed on Louisa.

Yeah Louisa never thought of that. Good thing Mrs Dawkins did.

"What do you have in mind then?" She asked
Mrs Dawkins smiled and continued.
'' I hear New Jersey is also one of the best. Why not take one from there and another from Philippines at Cebu"

" Okay..." Louisa slowly nodded.
"I think that's better. Go now and specify two days from now. Test them it's urgent and I need them unfailingly. Two days deadline" she ordered.

"Okay Ma" she beckoned and left.

🌍🌍🌍🌍NEW JERSEY 🌎🌎🌎🌎

Seon stared blankly into space. He sat on his bed with a bottle Swap on his hand as he slowly slipped it down into his gullet.

He resumed work the day after he got interviewed and was lucky enough to get this job.

Since then, he has been putting his utmost best to impress himself and others.

LINTEL Company Limited is a very big company around New Jersey. Which sales on varieties of quality goods. They produce and sell in wholesales and retails.

Aside that, he thought of his family. Gosh! He has really missed home so damn much. Especially his mom. This wasn't an easy decision to make.

Leaving his home of paradise to a foreign place to toil before he eats. Not as easy as he thought. But all the Same,He'll manage.

He chose this and he doesn't regret a bit. He's trying really hard to adapt to this lifestyle. He will get through this. He continously assured himself.

It's really getting late. And he has to wake up early in the morning to resume work. *New habit".
He smiled, switching off his lamp stand.

This room was no match for the man of his status. A room apartment with his belongings neatly ducked at a close corner.

Like a log of wood, he fell on his hard bed. "Arrrh" he groaned
The bed wasn't as soft as his back home.

Too many things to adapt to. He said within himself and slowly drifted to Oblivion.
