                   SANDRA

I got home and dropped my bag on my bed. I got rid of my clothes and walked into the bathroom to take a shower. Today was a really hectic one.

Diego successfully made me frustrated. I know that was what he wanted, and I didn't want to but he got on my nerves.

Who does he f**king think he is? Seriously father has given him some stupid Nerves.

I walked out of the shower and wore my robe, heading to the kitchen. I took a yogurt from the fridge and sat on the couch feeling refreshed.

I sighed remembering all the dramas Diego performed at the office today. He will make me quit that job for good.

But before then, I need to secure another job so I won't be stranded.

My phone ran jolting me out of my thoughts. It was mother.

Hi Mother.

Hi Sandra *happily*

What's going on?

i am so happy about the news I heard today.

And that is?

Diego is now your boss. Isn't that amzaing. You two would make great partners.

Mother you too? That dude is so f**king full of his f**king self.

He isn't Sandra. He is just classic. You know how he is around here.

Mother, are we really doing this right now?

C'mon Sandra.

You are forcing me to switch off my f**king phone. And I will do that if you keep bugging me about Diego. I never knew you joined the "must-to-marry" gang too.

Stop acting childish Sandra.

Mother, you know what, am gonna go now. Need to rest for tomorrow's work at the office.

I miss you.

Miss you too and I love you.

I hung up the call and threw my phone on the couch frustratingly.

I have to make sure Diego doesn't know where I live now. I can't keep having frustrating people as visitors.

I checked the time after I finished the yogurt and I saw it was 8pm. Kel should have been back, why didn't he come here?

"Maybe he isn't done with his trainings yet then." I thought.

But I wasn't satisfied with the thoughts alone. I needed to be sure if he was around or not.

I tied my robe firm and headed to the door. I opened up and walked out staring at Kel's door.

I was shut. Maybe he locked it from inside. I moved closer and knocked on it slightly. I waited for a response and I got none.

Maybe he isn't really at home. I should have just held on to that thought.

I was about turning when I heard someone speak behind me.

"Hey, looking for something?" I heard in a whisper making me look back in haste and fright.

"Kel." I called happily wanting to hug him. But of course I cautioned myself.

"Sandra." He called smiling.

"I just came to check if you were around. Since we said we were going to talk this night." I said shyly.

"Really? Can't really remember that. Sorry to keep you waiting. I had dinner with my friend." He said and my heart skipped.

"A girl?" I asked before thinking.

"Yes a girl. My best friend." He said and all I did was stare at him. A best friend? Seriously?

"You wanna come in?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yes. I would. Yet to have dinner though." I said and he smiled.

"That's no big deal. I will take care of that." He said opening the door and stepping aside for my to walk in.

I walked in and looked around the apartment again, remembering this morning with a smile on my face.

"Please make your self comfortable, there is anything in the fridge. You can help yourself with that before I make you dinner." He said and I scoffed.

"Make me dinner?" I asked and he smiled.

"Now you are doubting my cooking skills. I have been alone for more than 26 years. I love cooking because I really didn't anyone to do that for me." He said and I sighed.

"Sorry about that." I said sadly.

"It's fine. it's all in the past now. Am gonna take a shower now, and I will be right back." He said smiling before walking away.

His smile always made me smile too. He had a beautiful smile.

I used the time to look around the living room again, it was more like a survey.

I noticed he had painting hung on the walls, but they were few. They were few but amazing.

I stood up and walked up to them one after the other. One was the painting of a woman with wrappers tied around her.

One of a boxer, and the last one looked so so familiar.

"That's me. When I won the international boxing competition 1998. My best friend made the portrait." He said and I nodded.

"It's beautiful. Seems you are your best friend have been together for a very long time." I said and he nodded.

"Since ever. When we were kids, we have been friends. And she is a boxer too. Isn't that amazing?" He asked walking to the kitchen and I smiled faintly.

"You love ladies that box?" I asked and he smiled.

"To be honest, I love them. There strength, physic, wonderful." He said and I felt a little hurt. I am nowhere near a boxer.

Can't even hurt a fly.

"That's a very nice choice. Have you ever dated any?" I asked and he looked at me.

"All my exs are boxers." He said and I nodded in pain.

"You must really love them." I said and he smiled.

"Not anymore. There were just two of them." He replied sighing.

"I meant you really love fighters, since you never dated one that isn't." I said and he nodded.

"That's correct." He said and I nodded folding my lips into my mouth.

"So do you wish to share what made you leave them?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Not today. I want to have a great time with you, so sharing my kinda pathetic story will ruin the moment." He said and I smiled.

"Okay." I said walking back to the couch.

"The office?" He asked.

"Really annoying." I replied remembering Diego.

"Anyone hurt you?" He asked staring at me.

"No, just my new boss. I kinda hate him." I said and he smiled.

Hi peacemaker +2348037873157 to be added you to the platform

"You hate your new boss already?" He asked and I sighed.

"He is a friend to my Dad, and he has pressurizing me to get married to his friend. That's the main reason I left home and came here." I said.

"Wow. So your boss is your husband to be?" He asked.

"I wish. I can't marry him. I don't love him." I said rolling my eyes.

"Then don't marry him. It's as simple as that." He said and I smiled.

"It's not as easy as you think. Maybe the boxing world is different from this." I said and he sighed rasing his hands in the air.

"I give up. Dinner in a bit." He said and I smiled.

"What are you making?" I asked walking to get kitchen but he stopped me.

"None of your business my princess. Do me the honor of acting like the visitor." He said and I laughed.

"Okay Prince." I said making him laugh.

I was really enjoying myself.
