I was on my laptop going the internet posting pics of Quinn but all I got was wishes hoping she was found and some people recalling she's not the first person to be missing in Portland.
My phone rang I quickly got up running over to it and picked it. "Hello who is this? " I said hoping it's someone who had an idea on where Quinn was.
"Hello Mandy..." the familiar voice made my blood run cold, I held on to the phone holding back my anger. "Don't call this number ever again..." I said about to hang up. "Don't you want to know where Quinn is? " I stopped at first considering the offer.
"Why would you be interested in finding Quinn ? Don't you have lives to ruin and hearts to play? " I said with resentment.
"Are you still mad at me that things didn't work out ? Don't be, you knew I could never play by the rules, honestly I thought you of all people would be over it..." he cooed at the end.
"Why would I be mad ? What we had was fling and nothing more are you going to tell me where she is or did you just call me to gloat ?" I said.
"I don't know where she is but I know how to find her if she isn't caught."
"I don't get? What do you mean if she isn't caught ?" I asked pacing down the end of the room. "They put a ransom on her." my heart skipped a beat, I didn't know how to process the information I kept blinking hoping what I heard was the breeze talking.
"This has to be some joke right? Why and who would put a ransom on her, what could they possibly want from her?" I asked.
"That's not what I want to talk about right now, I want you back..." he said and the rest were just muffled. "What? " I asked.
"You can still be a matron but you will work for me and I'll triple what you're usually paid, I can help you find Quinn it will be like old times come on Mandy think about it...." he said I breathe softly making up my mind to finally speak.
"The reason I work as a matron was to stay far away from you and your family but somehow it's almost impossible." I vented out.
"What are you afraid of, I promise I'll protect you this time Mandy I want you and what we had back..." he said in the most gruesome honest tone ever.
"What we had was a fling I'm over it so get over it and if you have any information on where Quinn is kindly report it to the authorities, thank you." I said.
"You'll change your mind until then the offer still stands." I hanged up tossing my phone to the other side of the room.

It's been two days after the mission, I walked in the kitchen with a yawn and my head faced down, Haven was next to the cooker while Erwin and Darren were in the dining, Darren was going through his tablet while Erwin was drooling with his face down on the dining table.
Darren was the first to notice me without sparing me a single look. "Good morning." he focused his attention on it I just nodded.
"Good morning." I greeted walking over to Haven to see what he was making this morning.
"Can I help out ?" I asked, he took his eyes away from the cooker and nodded.
"I need black pepper it's up in the cupboard." he pointed over at the cupboard, I nodded walking down to it, I tried to reach but it was too high.
Why are the cupboards this high?
I looked over the dining and an idea clicked, Seth walks in I avoided eye contact from him almost immediately, quickly I strolled over to the dining picking up a chair and dragging it to where the cupboard was.
Easily I searched for the black pepper closed the cupboard holding the black pepper up In the air. "Got... " somehow I sprayed the black pepper on me and likely sneezed a bit I wasn't paying attention, I fell backward I tried grabbing something to hold on to but instead fell flat on my butt with the black pepper.
All four eyes were on me, I got up trying to sniff out the black pepper that got on my nose and handed it to Haven.
"Are you okay? " he asked I just nodded trying to get the attention away from me, I went back to drag the chair and sit down opposite Darren who went back to looking down on his tablet.
Soon enough breakfast was made and served, no one talked, no one made eye contact they all focused on their phones or for Darren he didn't even touch his food his eyes were focused on his tablet, Erwin ate but slowly not even mentioning a word.
I kept quiet myself I didn't want to talk about myself anyway and it didn't bother me at all that they didn't say a word to each other when talking it's just something I probably should get used to.
"How long are we going to keep her ?" Erwin broke the silence I faced down focused on my food because I didn't want whatever he said to get in my head.
"She's not a pet she's a person Erwin." Haven said defending me. "A person doesn't almost mess up our missions she's lucky to be considered a pet." I wasn't focused on them anymore, I was focused on my memories of Terry, I was basically a pet someone that made Terry feel superior and somehow it aches that I made him feel that way over me.
Again my emotions were flooded with the memories but this time I couldn't hold it in tears rolled down my cheeks, I let go of my fork making a thud on the table.
"Quinn? " I looked up to see all eyes on me especially Seth's I looked away from him and got up cleaning away my tears.
"I'm not hungry anymore." I left the dining room and went to my room and locked the door, I breathe in trying to think.
An hour later a knock came on the door.
"Get out.." I yelled
"I come in peace." I heard Haven say I sighed and walked towards the door and unlocked it letting him in while I sat down on my bed.
He glanced round the entire room and focused it back on me. "First of all don't mind Erwin he doesn't know how to talk or feel the only person he will probably respect is Seth." he said while I nodded. "I get it he doesn't like me he kind of reminds me of my cousin except I don't take shit from her, I probably play a prank on her after." I said as he stared intently at me.
"You don't look like a prankster and do you know why? " he started off walking straight towards me. "Because I look innocent? " I said
"No, because you're too pretty." I blushed instantly and put my head down while my cheeks heat up, I heard him chuckle he sat down on my bed next to me.
"Don't think about what Erwin said, he does like you." I cringed at his words.
"I'm hundred percent sure he doesn't like me you don't have to vouch for him you know I'm okay living with the reality he doesn't." Haven chuckles and nods.
"So why don't you play a prank on Erwin ?" Haven said. "Are you kidding me, I'm afraid he'll kill me in my sleep, I'll like to live." I pointed out.
"It's a harmless prank when did it ever hurt anybody and if he finds out, I'll protect you." he said while I shake my head.
"I don't want to I just have to endure Erwin but thanks for checking up on me." I said, Haven dug his fingers through his hair. "Of course." he nodded and then left.
Later I came out of my room and went downstairs to the living room, the guys were settled in their seats I went over to Haven who folded his arms.
"I found the DVD in Erwin's room." he said while I sat down next to him, he was with the remote control I just sat down because I haven't watched a movie in a long time.
The DVD loaded and then I saw myself with a towel coming out of the shower.
"Is that me? " I asked in fear while the guys got confused. "Wait what is this? " Darren asked looking down at the DVD case, Seth walked in and suddenly his eyes focused on the tv.
I looked back at the TV snatching the remote away from Haven trying to switch the TV off but it wouldn't work.
Seth walks over to the TV while I try to switch it off but it wouldn't suddenly the TV was switched off, I looked back at Seth who held the DVD cable.
"Where's Erwin? " Seth asked almost immediately he shows up. "Why is there a video of me with a towel and about to be nude? " I asked
"Jeez it's not like you have anything to hide why are you complaining? " he replied.
"That's invasion of privacy and disgusting on your part." I yelled. He turned to me with a non caring look on his face. "I only made one and you aren't that good like the rest." he said not giving a damn and revealing I'm not even the first.
"You're a messed up bastard." I yelled the first thing that came to my mind.
Seth finally got out the DVD and immediately broke it in front of us and tossed it on the floor.
"You're not allowed to film Quinn without her consent and take down the camera you have in her room, lastly Darren wipe Erwin's laptop." Darren nodded getting up to fulfill his task, Seth glares at Erwin and he mutters "Get ready for war bitch.." he said going up to my room to take down my camera, Haven walks up to me and Seth walks away.
"Don't worry he'll take down the camera.." Haven said, I didn't care about that I wanted revenge.
I left Haven and went to the kitchen, I opened the tiny freezer pulling out something used to make ice cubes I went to the sink and pour water in and kept it back in the freezer and waited for probably a few minutes, I took out a bowl putting the ice in and filled it with water waiting for it to melt.
I came out of the kitchen with the bowl Haven saw me looking curious. "Where's Erwin? " I asked.
"Upstairs getting the camera out of your room what are you doing with that.. " I left him and went up the stairs to the direction of my room.
I was about to to open the door but the door opened wide and without hesitation I tossed the water all over the person.
"That will teach you to respect my privacy.." I looked up clearly tracing my eyes to the figure in front of me.
It was Seth, I looked in to see Erwin with a tiny camera holding himself from laughing.
Seth swiped the water away from his face sharing me a death glare.
I'm so dead.
